• Eugene (5/5): - We are elderly, and found the middle-of-the-bathroom location of the toilet to be a real problem -- nothing to give us any balance. Also slick shower floor was almost disastrous -- grab bar on side would have helped. IF WE STAY HERE AGAIN -- DUBIOUS -- it will only be in a fully handicap room, even though we do not use wheelchairs.

• Mary (10/5): I will return someday to the same place. - It was centrally located and on the beach. We just had to cross the street. We sat on our balcony and watched the waves roll in. The entire place was immaculate. Our room was big with a sitting area. No carpet on the floor. More hygienic. The bed was so comfortable. The dining/breakfast room was large, clean and the hot food was excellent. The movie theater was a few blocks away. The restaurants were on the same road and there was a variety to choose from. The Strand was easy to find and not very far. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a cappuccino machine in the lobby and people were grateful for it.

• Carolyn (8/5): Completely enjoyed my stay and will be back! - Location was perfect. Right on Seawall Blvd across from the beach. The only thing I didn’t like is that every time I called the front desk no one answered. I believe a hotel front desk should be a welcoming place for guests no matter what time they call.

• Robin (9/5): Very clean with Great View! - Nice large clean room, great view of the Gulf! We walked across the road for a nice evening walk down the beach. Had trouble getting TV to work, staff put new batteries in remote, but still didn't work until we unplugged it from wall a couple times, then it connected finally.

• Jackie (9/5): I am a critical person and it was a very nice. Nothing but good things other than the stains. - The view was beautiful. You could not see/hear your neighbors. The room was big and very nice for the price and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The shits we’re dirty with large stains (not sure if it was blood or a drink or something) and we couldn’t use them. The rest of the room was spotless.

• Stacey (8/5): Great hotel with a great view - Clean, spacious room with a fantastic view of the gulf. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Balcony door didn’t seal, so room stayed humid and made it difficult to sleep comfortably.
• brett (7/5): Bad night shift - The facility was nice with a pool and hot tub available. The vicinity to the beach was excellent. I was outside by the beach and when I came in I noticed a car parked in the fire lane. I approached the front desk and asked them about the car parked in the fire lane. Omar said it was his car and not to worry about it and to mind my own business. I notified Galveston police about the violation. Galveston police came out and asked Omar to move his car from the fire lane. Omar retaliated by sending his police friend up to my room banging on the door and scaring my grandchildren. The SWAT officer was fully armed and threatened me with expulsion from the hotel. The next day I went to the front desk and asked the lady who was behind the desk. "What was the deal? " She claimed that Omar was a bit dramatic and had been problematic in the past. What I'm wondering is why he's still working there. I'm guessing he's on the night shift because he has a personality disorder and needs to be away from the general public. I was so very mad and wanted to find a different hotel but my grandchildren and wife were happy with the location. Everything else about the hotel was great.

The rooms didn't have toothbrushes or toothpaste in case someone forgot theirs. In the ones that I have stayed have some . The bacony chairs should be more better. They weren't that comptable.

• Dennis (9/5): Lovely overnight visit to Galveston--first time anywhere on the Texas Gulf Coast. Two thumbs up! - Very ample breakfast to start the day! Loved the balcony with chairs looking right across the street to the Gulf waters! The building is modestly dated but really no big deal.

The receptionist was very welcoming and allowed early check in. Although there is no coffee in the rooms, the tea /coffee station with cappuccino machine in the lobby was welcomed. The beds were very comfortable and room was big. The bathtub was a bit slippery

I don't see that much these days. Thank you for taking me back to true hospitality.
