- Kaitlyn (2/5): - We recently booked three rooms at this property as part of a group reservation. Upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel could not honor our stay and that we were being relocated to a sister property. Unfortunately, the alternate hotel was not of equal quality, and no compensation was offered for the inconvenience. The relocated property had noticeably dirty floors and would not have been our preferred choice. Additionally, there were several issues during check-in, including an attempt to double-charge one member of our group and assigning another to a room that was already occupied. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. Due to the lack of professionalism and poor handling of the situation, I do not plan to stay with this property—or any affiliated locations—in the future.
- James (8/5): - Nice hotel, check in was easy and the clerk efficient and courteous. Room was comfortable but hallways were stuffy and had an occasional fowl odor. Breakfast was good but I will say one of the people serving looked miserable and not wanting to be bothered. Fitness room was a touch above average. Microwave did not work and maintenance said it was repaired buy the only function working was the fan.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Go elsewhere - Upon arrival I was told they didn’t have my reservation, they said it had been cancelled. They gave me three different reasons why they didn’t see it in their computer. However, I showed on my app and online that my reservation was active, no issues. They did get us a room for the same price as my original reservation. But then from there we just felt one disappointment after another. When asking for bedding/towels, it was handed directly to me. No offer to have staff bring it up to my room. The pool water was cold, and the pool is very small and only 3ft/4ft section. Kids jumping in and out flooded the floor so anyone not swimming was walking through puddles of water in their tennis shoes to get to a seating area. Tv is a joke…. You have limited channels and nothing for the kids on tv. We did breakfast the first day and the second morning we made our own food in the room. The breakfast area was missing waffle makers, photos online show 2 waffle makers and that’s usually what we eat. So we bought our own waffles and made them in the toaster in the room. Just overall felt like we were disappointed with the amenities. Will not recommend or stay there again. Not worth the cost when so many other hotels in the area!
- Josh (10/5): - I live in Puerto Rico but I’m from Columbus and still own a business here. We recently sold our home in Columbus so I stayed at Staybridge Suites for the last two weeks. The suite had everything I needed including a full kitchen with a full size fridge. Everything was extremely clean when I arrived and the customer service was awesome for my entire stay. The best part was how well insulated the rooms are. I was a little nervous because I’m a light sleeper and the slightest noise usually wakes me up. I usually stay in an Airbnb because of that but I didn’t have any issues whatsoever. Once I was in the room and shut the door I didn’t hear any noise at all. It was also considerably cheaper than my usual Airbnb so I will definitely be staying here from now on! I usually come back to Columbus every couple of months for a couple of weeks to check on our business so I’ll be a frequent guest in the future!

- Michelle (4/5): - No seating in kitchen, non sufficient seating in room. Our room they checked us in, not ready, NO towels, no toilet paper but the measly left from previous guests. Air conditioner screen was popped up out of unit; bathroom was sub standard, no where to put anything on a counter . Bathroom door opened directly into room, literally 2 feet from bed. Fan in bathroom was not working. priced. if you were in Marriott but hotel was not up to that standard. They had mattresses store in stairwell. husband had to climb over a king mattress to access door. only 1 room bathrooms for men and/ or women off the breakfast dining area in lobby floor.
- Danielle (6/5): - The property had evidence of water damage and with every shower, you could see why. The tiny shower in our room leaked so heavily we had to leave towels down so the carpet didn’t get wet. The shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap comes in refillable bottles, so you’re using the same bottles as all the previous guests. The breakfast is similar, nothing is pre-packaged/portioned individually other than the butter jam and syrup. Everything else is out and on an open buffet display. Only the hot food had covers. I did like the rotating breakfast options from day to day. The dressers in the rooms had drawers that rolled open at random. The bedroom door design was flawed and the door was very hard to close/lock. Had asked for a extra linens prior to check in as the reservation was for three adults and no linens for the pull-out were provided until a call post check in which took over an hour to receive after a second call was placed. The parking lot is very small and was always almost completely full.

Small parking lot, room service came in 1X while we were there, which was fine, however, they didn’t take garbage, and took towels, etc only to replace with 3 towels and nothing else. Even took blanket from pullout couch? Barely enough parking places, super tight if driving a big truck. Staff was friendly and seemed clean enough. Our shower door didn’t even come close to closing and water pressure was not good.

Instead of assisting they told me that I needed to find my own lodging, even thought it was 10 pm. The general manager was no help and I was told that he was sleeping and had to be woken up. Will never stay at a staybridge suite again.

Upon arrival I was told i did not have a reservation and after further investigation was told my reservation were canceled. I did not received any type of notification that my reservation was canceled. I had booked online and was given the opportunity to pay upon arrival on Sunday day of my stay, however, hotel canceled on Saturday as per the hotel wasn't sure i was coming. Now, correct me if im wrong, but shouldn't that happen on Sunday not the day i wasn't scheduled to be here. Make it make sense

Breakfast was good as well My only complaint was the cost of parking on game day! $40 cash when your staying at the hotel is a rip off. You can park much closer for 1/3 to half the price. Parking right down the street by McDonald's is only $20.

It was late and no maintenance staff. Lamp was brought in with extension cord so we had light in there. Just not sure how housekeeping staff could miss the light not working when they cleaned in there.

- Kathleen (2/5): COMPLETE NIGHTMARE - No. DO NOT BOOK HERE! I ITS A SCAM This place in my opinion is a Bait and switch con artists run operation that overbook, over charge and blatantly lie. We arrived at hotel. We were told they were doing construction and didn't have enough rooms for us. They wanted us to stay in a run down property next door for close to $500 for the night. We said no and they said we had no choice. we were basically homeless until 10pm that evening when we finally found a HYATT on our own that had rooms. Now I have to dispute a $500 charge for a 1 night stay we didn’t do because a room that wasn’t available I was charged to our card. COMPLETE NIGHTMARE
- Tania (6/5): - I stay here often when i come to columbus to visit my kids and itsgot the best beds and you control your room temperature and its usually pretty clean so i was surprised that this time that the shower was dirty and the toilet handle was put on wrong so it was hard to flush. I had my grandson with me and they put there knifes on the bottom of the cupboard so that could of been a horrible night so if you travel with little ones check.
- DIANE (8/5): Great stay - Conveniently located near the university campus, this hotel was comfortable for our one-week stay. The rooms are renovated and spacious with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the shower had very good pressure. Breakfast had plenty of variety and the staff extremely friendly. Highly recommend!
- Aris (2/5): - We came to stay here for the weekend to see sexy red and this hotel was dirty! The pull out bed had hair all on the sheets like maybe an animal been in it. Upon settling in to the hotel we seen two roaches in the kitchen! We called front desk they said we don’t have bugs I said I can assure you that I just seen two roaches crawling across the counter! If you see one believe there’s more around and in other rooms! They offered to come “spray” the room. We took all our belongings back to the car and slept one night and LEFT! I wouldn’t recommend AT ALL!

For the price and the area I was happy with it and was impressed with how quiet it was in the rooms. If I needed to stay in the area again then I would likely stay here.

- Jesse (10/5): Nice hotel at short notice - We only stayed for 1 night but the room we had was clean and comfortable. Everything wasn't a hassle and service at the desk and breakfast was very nice.

- Barbara (10/5): - We had 3 families stay at this property the night before a 4 mile race in Columbus. We had a nice relaxing evening swimming in the pool and having a small birthday party using the kitchenette to prepare. The breakfast buffet was amazing with hot and cold item and drinks. Staff,especially the manager and buffet staff, were very friendly. We used the sofa bed but did not have any bedding in the room. It meant an additional trip downstairs, but not a problem. Would stay there again. It was within walking distance of OSU.

- Hannah (10/5): - The staff was some of the friendliest I’ve met. Very accommodating. The woman at the desk was actively noticing little things she could do that would make the party in front of mine as well as my party’s stay easier/more enjoyable. Staff was knowledgeable about the events going on around the area that people were coming in for and were able to make suggestions and have personable small talk with guests about their event. Room was gorgeous and clean, much nicer than anticipated from the photos. Hallways smelled nice, bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

- Benjamin (2/5): Traumatic Nightmare for me and my kids - When we arrived I and my 5 kids (all listed in booking with ages) front desk lady who apparently is also manager and only person they let you talk to took my card had me sign paperwork then verbally attacked me. I was told it was illegal for me to be there with that many people. She got upset about the price I had booked for on hotels.com and said I needed to pay 300 for the night instead of the 127 I had booked and already paid in full. I was absolutely flabbergasted. She then told me there was no room for me and that she was going to call the police if I didn’t show my travel agent badge. Two of my older daughters called the police because of how erratic she became. The other lady at the desk kept apologizing but said she couldn’t do anything because she runs the hotel. The corporate number was covered with the email for the lady who was screaming at me. When hotels.com attempted to call and intervene she told them I had threatened to trash the hotel room which is interesting because I was literally told I wasn’t getting a room. I hadn’t even raised my voice with her or been rude. I didn’t appreciate being told in front of my kids I was doing something illegal by buying a hotel room on hotel.com. And I told her if she didn’t want people to book on third party websites she shouldn’t be on them. Police were very kind and did talk to her about returning any money taken. The officer told me there was a history of receiving calls like this. Go to Marriott across street not here.

The heater in our room went out and the hotel was booked so there were no rooms to switch to but the lady at the front desk found us a hotel room at the hotel across the street.Nice job handling the situation!
- carl (8/5): Could have been better - We were given a room that was not ready. It was fixed rather easily. The cleanliness of the room could have been better. Not terrible but not up to the standard of the other Staybridge Suites I have stayed at.

- Tara (2/5): - We were supposed to be at staybridge but got moved because of “heating issues”. None of our friends got moved. I think you just overbooked and lied. Then we got moved to holiday inn express which was dirty I paid for a king suite and got moved to a queen for the same price. Was told basically take it or leave it. Given we didn’t have a car bc we were w friends we had no options. This was horrible experience. We should either be reimbursed or comped a room at best.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place near OSU - Super nice that they allowed a slightly early check-in, very friendly staff. Decent hot breakfast. Close to a few restaurants like Raising Cane’s 🍗 that I had to try… Liked the mezzanine lobby concept, they even have meeting rooms.

- Cassandra (2/5): - When we arrived we were told that the reservation we made was cancelled due to a card issue. I reviewed my email and Expedia app and it clearly stated my reservation was there. The manager ended up taking over the conversation and helping us get a room. At that point they were almost sold out and we only had a king as an option, there were 4 of us. So then 2 had to sleep on a pull out couch. We had the request bedding multiple times. The overnight front desk rep was the only one that executed on our request. It was just a very challenging situation and a lot of frustration to be had around it. I just feel as if there is an issue the hotel should reach out or Expedia.
- Bonita (4/5): - Bathroom was not clean period. Shower had black mold on the shower door. Pulled out the hair dryer and there was hair all over it. We could tell it wasn’t cleaned, behind the toilet had pieces of toilet paper and bobby pins. Closed the door and it was filthy. Do not recommend this place at all if you like a clean bathroom!
