What truly makes this property stand out is not just the location or the vibe it is the people. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Nikhil went out of his way to ensure everything was smoothly handled for us despite our short-notice arrangements. Prasad from F&B was exceptional ;incredibly attentive and somehow able to remember and engage with so many guests while still making the experience feel personal. Rohan and Mayur at WooBar were outstanding and brought such great energy and warmth to every interaction. Neha at the front office lobby was very friendly. Even after a slightly rocky start during check-in, Austin completely turned the experience around with professionalism and care, and we truly appreciated the effort he put in to make our stay memorable. What impressed us most was the consistency of the hospitality across the property. The team genuinely understands what luxury hospitality means, making guests feel recognised, comfortable, and valued at every touchpoint. It never felt transactional; it felt personal and effortless. We actually regretted not extending our stay here and moving to St Regis afterward. W Goa has set a very high benchmark for hospitality, and we would gladly return again. Highly recommended.

Muskaan helped us with an upgrade and we got a beach facing room which was beautiful. The restaurant staff was exceptionally kind and warm towards our daughter. She was absolutely thrilled. The ambiance was vibrant yet comfortable, making it perfect for a special family occasion. The food was excellent, with a good variety and great taste that everyone enjoyed. What truly made our visit memorable was the hospitality. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and accommodating. However, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Nikhil, and the food was also good. The cleanliness of the room was not up to standard and did not meet the expectations of a five-star hotel. The bathroom was also not clean, and the room had an unpleasant smell. In addition, the room rates were quite high for the quality provided. My stay was also affected by a wedding event at the hotel, which caused significant noise and disturbance. However, I appreciate that the staff moved me to another room for my final night, as my stay was only for two nights

- uv (7/5): amazing and worth spending your occassions here - amazing property. very lush and green and very open while being intimate. Given the heat in the day, getting around the property is with the frequent buggies available on demand. the main building is very well designed with easy access to most facilities. the gym is well equipped with great trainers. the inhouse restaurant served an excellent breakfast spread with a large number of attentive staff who never forgot personal preferences. the service is to die for and approaches the same personalized levels as the Taj. the room was huge with a bathroom which could be a bedroom in a city. Lovely toiletries + amazing pressure made using it a charm. They gave us two rooms keys without asking which kept both of us independent. Wifi worked like a charm Free unlimited water bottles and ice brought within seconds in any location kept us cool. The main pool was never crowded and we always felt comfortable with no children shouting and playing in the pool in the morning and forenoon. The rockpool overlooking the ocean is a bit of a ways off and is more of a club with an amazing view for a sundowner or to dance the night away with amazing DJ services. After a long time, the wife and i were both content to spend our vacation in the resort without feeling the need to step out. very little- i would mention the following more as tips for guests than negatives- The rockpool was too far to walk and we had to always get a buggy ride to and fro, making us not use it as often as we wanted to. WHile the bathroom was fully modern, the room itself was dated and the rug under the bed was just not good enough for this level of resort. even the floor under the rug was unwashed. the room was huge with west facing wall to wall French windows and hence the cooling was always insufficient during the day. we had to keep the curtains drawn from morning to evening and run the fan over & above the aircon.

- VickyS3513 (6/5): 4/10 Stayed at W Goa - Stayed at W Goa from 4th March 2026 for 4 nights. Having spent over three decades at Taj Village Goa (which feels like home), this was a forced change due to unavailability. Check-in was smooth and the team was welcoming — a great start. Unfortunately, the F&B experience fell short. Our first meal was average, and despite a courteous recovery effort by the chef and F&B head, it impacted our confidence enough to skip breakfast the next day. Perhaps we are used to a higher benchmark set by Taj, especially in food and guest relations. A bright spot was the bar service — the staff was warm, attentive, and excellent. Rooms are stylish but overly flashy, and housekeeping needs improvement. Towels had visible stains, which is unacceptable at this price point. Overall, while the property has potential, it does not currently justify the premium pricing — especially when it comes to F&B and service standards. Sharing this as constructive feedback with the hope of improvement.

Our stay at the W with the Rockpool & the WooBar as the central focus was filled with Fun, Flair & A Unique Style often filled with high-energy atmosphere on the cliffs of Vagator Beach, blending the brand's signature lifestyle luxury with vibrant Goan flair. It was the ultimate glitzy glow-up with high-end hangs encompassing some sun, splashes, sundowner with friends against the picturesque Vagator Beach with a swaying Palm Tree reflecting the soft Goan Sun with International DJs and a JetSet crowd to up the tempo. Classy Cocktails at a mesmerizing Sundowner by the Rockpool was full of Fashion, Luxe Vibes & Pamper Parties - The Ultimate Soirée of Spoilage which went well into the late night. She loved the attentive & unhurried service at the Rockpool which catered to her whim and fantasies. After some morning Yoga over the Vagator Beach and some exquisite Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict Royale, it was time for Refined Indulgence & Elevated Leisure for Couture comfort & soft self-care at the Pompeii inspired Away Spa. - Maike (9/5): Beautiful grounds, superfriendly staff, good food - not ideal for kids though. - The grounds are stunning. We had booked the Spectacular Room (plus extra bed) for us and our two kids and it seemed reasonably spacious when we arrived. We then transferred to a Garden Villa which was absolutely wonderful. The staff is super nice and personable, they really tried to accommodate our every wish (Japson, Nilesh, Nikhil etc). The breakfast buffet and other meals we had at the Kitchen Table were excellent, the snacks at the Rock Pool were also yummy (though a bit more greasy than we'd like them to be). We stayed during the Indian wedding season, I guess, so several parts of the hotel were not available to us due to some wedding functions taking place there or being set up. Since our initial room was between the courtyard & pool and some functions took place exactly in those two places, it became unbearably noisy for our family. We were ready to move out of the hotel since we also couldn't use either of the pools - when they transferred us to the Garden Villa. After that, our stay was very nice, but without that, I think we would have been really miserable and wondering what we paid all that money for. Overall, the hotel doesn't strike me as very family-friendly in comparison to other 5-star ones. It would be nice to have at least a little bit of infrastructure at the beach.

- ishas336 (10/5): At W Goa, it’s not just luxury, it’s the feeling they create and that’s what brings you back. ❤️ - We actually had plans to celebrate my birthday in Bangkok this year, but at the last moment we changed our minds and came back to W Goa. The reason was simple the experience we had here earlier had stayed with us. Two years ago, during our first birthday stay at W Goa, we met Lima, who was our stay ambassador. She had made that birthday incredibly special with the little things she arranged from the Rock Pool sundowner celebration with cake and champagne to the beautiful birthday décor waiting for me in the room. Those thoughtful moments stayed in our memories long after the trip ended. So when my birthday came around again this year, coming back here just felt right. This time too, Lima managed everything so thoughtfully. She had even cancelled her own trip with friends when she heard I was coming because she wanted to personally manage my stay again. That really touched me. From the birthday welcome to planning little experiences during the stay everything flowed beautifully. One of my favourite moments was the pickleball session with Raman Sood, which was such a fun way to start the day. There are thoughtful touches everywhere, little surprises, and a team that genuinely pays attention to what makes guests happy. It feels like the whole place works with one simple intention: to make your stay memorable enough that you want to come back. And honestly, it works - because we did. My room Chalet 16 with its beach view and private garden was stunning. I loved my quiet beach time, the evenings at Rock Pool, the food from the chefs, the bartenders, and the warmth from everyone around the property from the restaurant teams to the shuttle staff. Luxury hotels can give you beautiful rooms and views, but it's the people who make a place special. And that's exactly why we came back to W Goa.
- B4960RJhannahb (6/5): W Goa – Mixed Experience but Excellent Food at Spice - We had a disappointing start to our evening at W Goa after booking a sunset dinner at Rockpool directly through the hotel. The reservation had been accepted and even reconfirmed the day before, so it was frustrating to arrive and be told the venue was closed for a private event. Had we known in advance, we would have made alternative sunset plans elsewhere rather than scrambling at the last minute and ending up watching the sunset from the crowded public beach. The situation was made more uncomfortable when the security guard took my husband’s phone from his hand without asking in order to speak with a colleague about the reservation, and later did the same with his ID card. This felt inappropriate and poorly handled. To their credit, the hotel manager did try to recover the situation by offering us dinner at Spice instead, along with a complimentary cocktail, which was appreciated. Spice itself deserves 5 stars. The food was genuinely excellent, service was attentive, and the team handled food allergies very well. The decor is nice and the restaurant is a hidden gem for Chinese food in Goa. The only downside was that the ambience felt slightly flat as there was no background music and the air con was quite cold, but overall the quality of the food made up for it. Overall, I am giving 3 stars due to the poor handling of the original Rockpool reservation, although the dining experience at Spice was very good in the end.

The staff, especially Nikhil, were beyond friendly, so helpful and truly made our experience a memorable one! Even before we left for our trip, Nikhil answered our questions quickly and provided us excellent recommendations to make our vacation super enjoyable! After multiple long flights from America to Goa, we were very warmly welcomed by the whole team at the W and instantly became reenergized and excited to explore their beautiful property. We took full advantage of the full property: the rock pool (which has gorgeous sunset and sunrise views!), the incredible kids zone (the staff were so attentive to our kids so much that our kids never wanted to leave), and the spa (oh my gosh -- Sarah works miracules on tired muscles)! We would definitely return to this property, and a huge thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so wonderful!
- Seaside27318377952 (10/5): Excellent recovery after a disappointing first experience - We had a very mixed experience with W Goa, and I’m updating this after a second visit. Our first visit was genuinely disappointing. We had called in advance to check pool access for non-residents, but on arrival there was confusion at reception, inconsistent information on pricing, and we were even sent to the wrong place to make payment. At the pool, a manager insisted on a substantial cover charge simply for us to sit at the bar surrounding the pool while our children swam — something that had never been disclosed earlier. What bothered us was not the idea of spending, but the lack of judgment and hospitality. We were very clear we were not looking for a freebie; we were simply surprised by how rigid and transactional the interaction was, especially given we were with very elderly parents and young children. The attitude was dismissive rather than solution-oriented, ending with “the best I can do is reduce it,” instead of any attempt to assess the situation and be hospitable. Before leaving, we shared this feedback at reception and left our contact details. To W Goa’s credit, they reached out proactively. The Director of Quality called us, acknowledged that the experience had not met their standards, and very graciously invited us back. On our return, the experience was completely different. We were hosted for lunch, the staff were warm, attentive, and helpful throughout, our children were welcomed to use the pool without any issue, and the Director of Quality personally took the time to walk us around the property and look after us. The effort, care, and professionalism shown were excellent. The contrast between the two experiences was striking. The first highlighted a gap in on-ground judgment and service culture. The second reflected strong leadership, ownership, and what hospitality should feel like. Credit where it’s due: the Director of Quality was clearly empowered by senior leadership to pull out all stops and correct the mistake. That level of ownership is what ultimately defines true hospitality.
- CMT10Travels (8/5): Stay for NYE - We only stayed one night here for New Year’s Eve which included their NYE party. The hotel was nice but I personally believe overpriced for what it offers. We paid over £600 for one night. I found some of the areas of the hotel quite tired and needing attention eg outdoor seating at the bar needing paint work etc. The room was impressive! Wow. It was loud and inviting with lots of space. A huge bathroom, lovely views, balcony, it was great. That said, we couldn’t make the curtains open with the buttons and for such a huge bathroom, the toilet should be bigger so you can get in and out without having to stand to the side of the toilet! We found service was very slow. We waited over an hour for a portion of fries which were forgotten once and then over 30m for a round of 4 of the same cocktails. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had anywhere! Incredible selection and lovely additions of things being brought round ad hoc too. The spa was stunning. We used it to change, store our bags and had a hair appointment. But we also went to look around and so the pool was lovely! The main pool was nice. Quite cold at this time of year and oddly only 8 sunbeds for the whole hotel it seemed? Apparently there is another pool and more beds at ‘rock pool’ but it was closed for us as they were setting up the party so not sure what’s usually there. The party itself was very good. Loads of food, drink, well organised, lots of fun! Well done to the organisers.

- LA_Bruin_2014 (4/5): Lacking service - not premier luxury resort level of hospitality - We stayes at the property expecting a premier luxury experience akin to St Regis or Taj, as the price point of the property was certainly on par with the same. Though the hotel grounds are pretty, and the room layout are the plus points of this resort, what’s lacking is the service. Ground level staff, particularly in dining services are not guided well, and the issue seems to be at the management level. Though there are several staff members standing, none know what their role is. We found one of the property restaurants closed without notice - we purchased a premier package with dining options included at Spice restaurant which was not available. Management seem unaware of options, and we couldn’t avail the services we purchased. On another incident, we waited for over 45 minutes for our meal and finally left. We were then asked to purchase a card for a meal at another restaurant by staff who didn’t know that hotel guests could charge to their room. Overall poor management and flow by staff who were misguided. The hotel room was kept well, and room staff was attentive. Phone again was broken in our room, and took some time to correct. Concierge was curt in her responses and not particularly hospitable or attentive. Would arrive late after a chosen time, and finally suggested we stay at St Regis- seem more poor form to recommend another property than to try and assist to our tastes. Though most issues were nuanced, for a luxury resort, simply did not hold upto our expectations. Comparable properties like Taj, or Hilton would offer more predictable hospitality.

Instead of prioritising the room, the “experience manager” insisted on taking us around the property even though we repeatedly told her we just wanted our room. When we finally called her after waiting for a long time, she disconnected the call despite us asking very politely about the room status. She never called back. Later when we confronted her, her explanation was even worse — she said she didn’t have an answer, so she chose not to pick up the phone. This is the level of inexperience and unprofessionalism we had to deal with. Overall, extremely disappointing welcome, despite being a Bonvoy gold member.

The check-in process was smooth and warm. We were greeted with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic welcome beverages. Special thanks to Preeta and Preetika, who made the welcome feel genuinely premium. Their constant smiles and professional warmth gave us that unmistakable “luxury Marriott” vibe right from the start. ⸻ 🚗 Property Overview Once we took the buggy to our room, my initial excitement dimmed a bit. Despite being branded as a luxury property, W Goa didn’t quite give that “wow” feel compared to other Marriott luxury brands I’ve stayed in — such as St. Regis Goa, Taj, JW Marriott, or The Westin Goa. This was my 35th stay with Marriott in 3–4 years, so expectations were naturally high. In my view, North Goa’s luxury hotels are often overhyped and overpriced. For true 5-star indulgence, South Goa still wins. ⸻ 💰 Pricing & Package We paid around ₹23,000 per night, which included: • Breakfast • One additional meal • Luxury Hour at Rock Pool (thanks again to Preeta for arranging this) While the inclusions were good, I felt the overall value for money was lacking considering the room quality and overall “luxury quotient.” ⸻ 🛏️ Room Experience Thanks to Platinum status, we were upgraded to a Marvelous Suite. The patio was the highlight — huge, beautiful, and relaxing. However, the room interiors were a let-down: • The carpet was worn and didn’t feel clean. • There were visible stains on the sofa cushions (shared as feedback, not criticism). • The décor was quirky but not luxurious — more like a 4-star vibe. When I pointed out the cleanliness issue, the staff promptly upgraded us again and had the rug cleaned — great service recovery. Still, for a hotel at this price point, the room design and upkeep need improvement. ⸻ 🧹 Housekeeping & Service Service overall was excellent. Staff were proactive, polite, and prompt. Possibly due to limited staff during the season. • Rock Pool Bar • This is the highlight of W Goa — lively, scenic, and a true party vibe. • Unfortunately, due to rain, the pool area was closed during our stay. But it’s worth visiting — people from other hotels come just for the Rock Pool experience. ⸻ 🏖️ Location • Excellent location near Vagator Beach, at the foot of Chapora Fort. • Around 5–10 minutes’ walk to the fort for panoramic sea views. • Nearby restaurant Como Agua (2–3 minutes from the Spice Trader restaurant) is worth trying for a romantic meal. ⸻ 👨👩👧👦 Facilities • Three swimming pools (including an indoor one). • Kids’ play area — well-designed with several activities. • Table tennis & recreation zone. • Hilly layout adds a mini hill-station vibe — lovely to look at but might be tiring for elderly guests (buggy service is very prompt, though). ⸻ ⚖️ Value for Money While the staff and service were top-notch, the luxury feel and room quality didn’t justify the premium pricing. He surprised us with a bottle of bubbles for my birthday and always checked in to make sure we were having a great time. His recommendations were excellent and helped us discover some amazing spots in and around the resort. Finally, Chef Nikhil truly elevated our experience. He created beautiful, personalized dishes based on what we enjoy and introduced us to incredible Indian flavors from Goa, Punjab, and the north. Every meal felt like a new discovery, and his warmth and passion for food made us feel genuinely cared for. W Goa is the perfect mix of relaxation, great energy, and outstanding hospitality. I thought she had been in hospitality for years but it turns out she’s only been at the property for a few months. Upon check in, she made sure I had everything I needed. The property itself is 27 acres of pure bliss. I had extremely high expectations as a Lifetime Platinum Marriott Bonvoy member. Pritha and W Goa exceeded all expectations. My friends will tell you that I’m very hard to please. From exceptional hospitality, to a beautiful property, to die for food and amazing spa, this has it all. Thank you, Pritha and W Goa for making my first time in India so memorable.

- Travel56980399397 (10/5): Highly recommend - I’d traveled to W with my 2.5 year old and it was an amazing experience to say the least. While we were there having a blast, my daughter fell sick on the 3rd day and the team went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed - meals, doctor, comfort! Must highlight Nikhil who’s the W Insider there who was literally a WhatsApp msg away and went above and beyond for us. He helped with every little detail and ensured we had everything we needed - from milk for the toddler to the local recommendations on what to try and where to go. Even offered to get us meds etc - super sweet and helpful! The entire experience was just fab and they literally made us feel like family and were so helpful and loving. Everyone greeted my daughter with love and warmth and we truly had a great time. Will be back again soon - highly recommend!
- Amruta17 (10/5): W Goa - We had such a lovely experience at W. we went there to celebrate my son’s second birthday. The hotel has such a cool vibe which is similar to W hotels around the world. Initially, we were given a room that I was not expecting but thanks to Victoria who was gracious & polite, we got the room I wanted. The food was great and so were the drinks. Unfortunately rock pool was closed but the other makeshift area had a great view of the ocean so it was alright. Special thanks to all the staff who were all super nice & Nikhil (W insider) who answered all our queries and helped us in procuring a gift for our friends. The Marvellous suite in the main building was perfect for us but it needs major upholstery upgrade and the mattress is too soft, you literally sink into it. Hopefully something will be done about it along with other renovations.

The place is awesome - the view from hotel, food and amazing hospitality from all the staff. They went out of the way to make our stay memorable - Nancy from the Kitchen Table, restaurant went out the way to treat us with delicious Goan Fish Thali and other Goan cuisine. Her team of Sarvan and others were always there to delight us. Nikhil, the W Insider helped us get bookings at some happening sundown and night places. Was very impressed with his influence as we were given VIP treatment wherever we took his name. Also he along with others checked on comfort daily and were eager to make our stay special. Overall a great experience and looking forward to go back in December.

The resort grounds were beautifully maintained, with lush gardens, sparkling pools, and plenty of open space for the kids to run around safely. Our room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The kids’ club was a huge hit with our children—they couldn't wait to go back each day! Special shoutout to Pritika who made our kids feel extra special during their stay. The birthday themed decoration of our room, the cake and complimentary snacks all made their day extremely joyous. I had a massage with her recently, and it was easily one of the best I've ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, Nini's calm and welcoming demeanor put me at ease. She took the time to understand my specific needs and concerns, and throughout the massage, her technique was impeccable. She applied just the right amount of pressure, and her movements were intuitive and fluid, working out every bit of tension I had. She has a true gift for what she does. The entire experience was incredible, from the serene atmosphere of the spa to Nini's expert touch. I left feeling completely relaxed, rejuvenated, and restored.
