- Nena Powell (10/5): See above! - Georgia was most informative of so many fun things to do and told me the history of this beautiful property on the bluff of the Tennessee River in Bluff View Historic District of Chattanooga! I parked my car in their lot and didn’t have to drive anywhere my whole stay! The exceptional Hunter Museum right next door along the famous Riverwalk was a jewel for this small town feel city! Loved every minute!! Not a thing!

- Ken (7/5): Would have liked to know how outdated the property is. - Very friendly staff. No fireplace, no balcony, no visible working mirror. (Both were beyond old) Bathroom needs renovated from the humps in the floor, cracked tiles, black grout lines and unsafe bathtub.
- Lilian (8/5): Nice location - a nice B&B - The location and views the elegant first floor! Breakfast was great. Beautiful sunrise overlooking the river. The bed and pillows hard uncomfortable! Toilet didn’t flush well. No help to top floor lots of stairs. The person cooking breakfast a young man very unfriendly! Ladies at reception were nice.

- Ashley (9/5): - the location is awesome! the layout of the room was nice and we loved having the balcony to open up for some fresh air. we were thankful for the provided table fan that we could use in the bedroom at night because it stayed quite warm being on the 3rd floor. our room had such a strong, um "antique" smell. it was very off-putting. we kept going out on the balcony to escape it.

- Lillian (4/5): We will not be back. - The water in the sink went down slowly. No breakfast was served, meal tickets were given to go across the street for breakfast. Rain was pouring down each morning. On the way out we stopped to get something for the car. It was less expensive item - however, we were told that we could only have what was on the list, no exceptions, even though the item was less expensive. Would have been nice to have store bought muffins available on the rainy days so we didnt have to go out in pouring down rain. Innkeeper seemed unconcerned.
- Lillian (5/5): Will not be back. - Cleanliness was superb Water went down bathroom sink slowly. Breakfast was unacceptable for the rate to stay in the Inn. No sleeping in - u had to be at the restaurant at 10 if you wanted anything. Missed breakfast the first morning. Second morning we were going to take something in the car going back to Atlanta - I ask for a $4 bagel but told all they could give me was the three choices even though they were more expensive. How about some muffins by the coffee in the morning.
- Doug (7/5): We thought they were bluffing - Location, room and bed Bathroom was a bit tired with a very strange set up of curtains restricting light into the bath/shower making it very gloomy Breakfast was obtained via a voucher for a local eatery down the street and was very limited and ok at best. In-house breakfast at this property only served at weekends, we were told. As a result the price per night seemed steep.

- Roberta (10/5): We'll be back! - The uniqueness of the properties and location is exceptional, we will definitely be coming back and hope to try out one of the other homes. We parked the car and never had to move it until it was time to leave, everything we needed was on that block and its walking distance to other local businesses. The views, hospitality and location are top notch. Mattress could use an update

- Kimberly (7/5): Beautiful property…. - The homes are beautiful and the breakfast was so delicious! The beds. We were moved to a different house because the bed was uncomfortable. We hoped the second one would be better; it was not. They really need to invest in comfortable beds and pillows.

Great location All was great except innkeepers attitude. At $330/night we felt the innkeeper to be border line doing us a favor. Then she softened up a little. There was no hi welcome to the Bluff View Inn., just I’ll be with you in a minute. Omly 2 bottles of water in each room. No refill. Note on the coffee maker said for morning use only. Even at the Holiday Inn, they give you enough coffee to drink all day Access to ice and water. Kitchen staff at brunch was fantastic. Food was good.

- Carroll (6/5): Nice staff, sub-par breakfast, great neighborhood and nearby sights to see - We mostly sat on the porch where there was seating for two, and it was very nice. The neighborhood was great and watching people walk by interesting. Plus there were many nearby sights to see (sculpture garden, art museum and grounds, river overlook, etc.) The breakfast was a disappointment, especially after we were promised breakfast at Rembrandt's (a restaurant next door). Instead, we had to walk much farther for a sub-par continental breakfast. The room was very small and only included one chair for 2 guests, so one of us had to sit on the bed all the time.
- Tera (9/5): This location was perfect for our first stay in Chattanooga! - The location is so great! Extremely walkable to many things to explore for our first time in Chattanooga. I highly recommend. When we arrived the manager had a bucket of ice and sodas/waters. The breakfast was fresh and so much better than “hotel” breakfasts. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Chattanooga.

- Ian (10/5): - A very quaint well managed property. A welcome change from corporate chain hotels with featureless rooms. A pleasant area of Chattanooga to stay in, enjoyed Tony’s for dinner one evening.
- Douglas (8/5): - Beautiful location, unfortunately areas were closed off and couldn't be enjoyed. Room was layed out poorly, couldn't view the TV easily from any angle. Great views, lots of character.
- Emmalouise (10/5): Idyllic and beautiful little complex so much better than a chain motel/hotel - The buildings are so beautiful and beautifully decorated and furnished, manager was so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Also gave us a great recommendation for a local restaurant for dinner! The room we were in (ground floor) had windows that looked right onto the next door restaurant so it was a little noisy but it all stopped a little after 10pm. Also the windows could benefit from better blinds or blackout blinds, but this was not the end of the world as I fell asleep quite quickly.

- Paul (1/5): Disastrous. Before letting a room the owners should stay in it themselves, it was terrible. - Nothing The room overlooked the local pizza place and car park. People where sat eating directly under our window. The bed was very, very small. I am only 5'7" & my wife is 5'2", my feet stuck out of the end of the bed. We are both fairly slim but we couldn't sleep together on the bed it was just too small. Neither of us got any rest or relaxation. The next morning we where woken at 7:15am by loud mexican music, again directly underneath our window. They were the ground staff who stayed chatting and laughing underneath our window until 8am when they proceeded to use their leaf blowing equipment. The stay was the worst we have had in the USA. To add insult to injury the 'breakfast' was pathetic.. I will certainly never go there again.

- Daniel (9/5): Quaint hotel with free parking and delicious free breakfast - The property, which is about the size of a city block, had a very European feel. Reminded me of visiting a small town in France. The room itself was very quaint and well decorated to boot. Really felt like going back in time. The free breakfast from the on-site restaurant was very good--highly recommend the avocado toast. Free parking on-site which was a big plus. We were staying in the front of the building, with a major highway close by. Unfortunately the cars passing by in the night were very audible. This might not be a problem in other buildings or at least for rooms further from the road.

- Dale (10/5): Great location; clean. Great manager. If you think old houses have character, this is your place. - We really enjoyed our stay. The innkeeper, Kelley, is just excellent. Good communication, really concerned that our needs were cared for. Spotlessly clean. The bath towels are luxurious. Bed was firm, but OK. The bed in the Chambliss room is very firm; we have also stayed in the Mabell Thompson suite. Bed there is more comfy, not quite as firm. A/C is central; works great and no noise. Excellent location. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see/do. The aquarium is just a 4 minute easy walk. Tony's Italian restaurant next door was excellent, and has good gluten friendly offerings. Breakfast is provided at Rembrandt's coffee house next door. Decent selection for most people. If you are gluten and dairy free as I am, the breakfast menu provides very little that will work: Granola with fruit and oat milk was about it on the continental menu. There is also a traditional menu that offers egg/meat/cheese sandwich, or waffles, or an eggs ranchero dish, but the eggs have milk in them. The staff of young folks was very helpful though, and they substituted things a bit to make it work for me. Something to keep in mind: this is an old house with antique furniture. Its the kind of house that a wealthy person would have lived in a century ago. We liked it. It is a business area, so there are early morning deliveries. Not overly loud, but they start at about 3:00 am. If you are used to living in the city, you will probably not notice. We did find that running the fan for white noise pretty much eliminated that as an issue. The Bluff district is a great place to stay; we felt very safe there, even walking around at night. It is not pet friendly, which is a plus for us. Pet friendly places usually smell of 'perfumes' that they have to use to 'freshen' the rooms. None of that here. No chemical smells, just fresh and clean. I suspect that most tenants here, like us, prefer quietness - and it was indeed quiet and peaceful.

- S.e.s. (10/5): Felt like a part of an artistic community, really got a feeling of the area. - This is a boutique hotel that occupies a kind of art centered neighborhood. All the houses belong to the same organization and so you feel part of a community. Our hostess was lovely and chatted at length with us about the area. I felt like a visiting artist or historian in a way.... was lovely. Easy walk to the museum, river, etc. This is not a complaint, but the room was small and the bed rather hard... it was fine for us and we felt at home here, but some people might prefer it a bit bigger.
- Mark (10/5): Fabulous accommodation in a superb location. - The location is amazing with stunning views over the river and within easy walking distance of the centre. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All the amenities are just over the road too. There really isn't a lot to dislike. If I had to be really picky, I'd say that having to go to the coffee shop across the road and use vouchers for breakfast was a minor inconvenience but really only a very minor one.
