FT Cawood (10/5): Best place to stay in Rosebank area - Good location, quiet and friendly staff
JJ (4/5): Water issues ruined experience - The Water disruptions was just not great. For a 8 story apartment building and no tanks its was a real problem i stayed at The Vantage for over 3 weeks and did not have a great experience in terms of the water issues, although communicated it was not a pleasant experience and i had to book an alternative venue.
JJ (8/5): Great Stay - The staff are friendly and helpful and get issues sorted out quickly. Just the ongoing hot water issue has been frustrating especially since its winter but it has been communicated properly.
Ari (6/5): Mixed Experience - Mixed experience. The apartment was nice and the location was great. Had a clothes washer and a dryer which was great. The main down side was the hot water was not working. The whole building was having issues. They did apologize and offered a discount on a future stay, but we were there on holidays and have no plans to return. The apartment also does not have any heat or air conditioning. We were there in the winter and it was very cold at night. There was a small space heater and electric blankets on the bed, but the apartment was still very cold. This made the lack of hot water that much worse. Assuming the water is fixed, would recommend only for spring and fall stays - would avoid during more extreme winter and summer weather.
Ali (8/5): - I stayed in this property many times. On the negative hand, the apartments ( 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms in which I stayed in different times ) need renovation in some areas. On the positive hand, the personel is always accommodating and kind, the problem solvers are below and my Oscars go to them. Cassandra (8/5): - Great apartment. The internet was a little bit and miss throughout the stay and there was another small cockroach, this time in the fridge. We had a cockroach when we stayed last week as well in a different room.
Dimitry (10/5): - Great property, great staff. Located right near everything you need. The only issue i had was with the shower. no matter how precautious you are, somehow the water would still fall on the bathroom floor because of how the shower is built.

FT Cawood (8/5): - The Vantage is great. Everything, except for the check in and check out, where it was said that we didn’t pay the full amount. This was not true and fortunately we had print outs to proof the upfront payment. After an apology we were allowed into the apartment. Upon checking out we had the same problem. The payment issue between The Vantage and Hotels.com should not become the guest’s problem.

Verified traveler (4/5): - I stayed on the 1st floor (101) and felt very unsafe the entire 10 days because the curtains were very transparent and I was exposed to the entire street where people were hanging out at all hours. My because of the poor curtains. The wifi in the room was also VERY poor.

The AC In the main living area did not work and the bedrooms had no AC. The WiFi was very poor . The facility staff was helpful and stored our bags in the office. There is good parking.

The parking garage is adequate in that the spaces are limited and narrow. Their third party airport shuttle service and elevators have slow responses.

Angela (10/5): Convenient location and free parking - Free parking and safe compound. Two walking blocks away from the Zone @ Rosebank. If WiFi is a priority then don’t stay here, extremely spotty and unreliable.

And on top of that was Charged R1750 by Hotels.com and the rate on the same day and same Units was R 1375. On the booking form completed during check in the rate displayed was R 1230 Expedia.
Robert (10/5): - A few-minutes walk to Rosebank Mall and the Gautrain Station. The area felt very safe. There is some construction nearby. The apartment was very clean and check in was easy. Kitchen and washer were great. Free wifi is limited to two hours which isn’t great.

There is no gym....only negative.

Marlene (10/5): Comfortable apts, great location and staff - The Vantage has spacious, modern, clean apts, conveniently located near a shopping mall, supermarket, restaurants and the African Craft Market. We had 3 apts for 6 ppl and our 5-nite stay. The area is safe, we walked to some excellent restaurants nearby. The reception and housekeeping staff are friendly and helpful. Beds and pillows in the apts are comfortable and it's great to be able to relax with all the comforts of home. I would definitely stay at The Vantage again and recommend it highly.

ramona (10/5): Rosebank stay - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at CAG the Vantage. It is very tastefully decorated and is equipped with all that you need, and is serviced every day. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, glassware, pots, pans, microwave, stovetop, oven, toaster and a full size fridge/ freezer. It is so well located to the Rosebank shopping mall, which has so many shops including 2 supermarkets and several restaurants. it is less than a 5 min walk. The train station is about a 10 min walk. You can catch train to airport but if you are 2 or more the private taxi is just a few $ more for door to door. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Young (2/5): - They over booked and even though I paid in full for my stay 3 weeks in advance, I had no room I arrived at 8pm after travelling from Washington to JHB and... I was put into another property further away, which was inconvenient as I had a number of meetings in Rosebank
Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Apartment ... but the Wifi lets it down! - Nice clean apartment close to restaurants and the mall. It is well equipped and the reception staff were very helpful. There is no heating and it was cold so we had to ask for a mobile heater and it took a while to get the place warmed up. We found the double bed too small and was not very comfortable. The wifi in the apartment is not very good.

Constance (10/5): Amazing front desk staff and security - I had an amazing stay at the Vantage. Our flight was going to come in late, and I called them beforehand (small tip: Please make the Vantage number available instead of the CAG number because the automated response glitches and then one can't get through) to let them know. When we got there, our keycard, room and check-in details were all ready. The front desk and security are all very helpful, housekeeping is wonderful, the room was clean and absolutely beautiful. I'll definitely book with them next time. PS: Please, fix the automated response system for CAG and make the Vantage number available.

The location is great, near Rosebank Mall. Wonderful vacation experience in South Africa overall and this hotel was an added bonus.

Dylan (8/5): Great flats in Rosebank - Great location, well fitted Business flats, better than a Hotel, and the location is ideal. Main challenge is the inconsistent WiFi... you may often find yourself at the Starbucks across the street!

It took almost 30 minutes to just get the key programmed and after that it still did not work. The wifi did not work (was absent). The apartment itself was very nice however the lack of air conditioning in summer time made it quite uncomfortable to sleep at night. Location is excellent.

However the lady at check-in was friendly and fantastic so I didn't mind the wait. However, when I went down later that evening to check about WiFi access I was met with an indifferent and rude gentleman at reception. The complex doesn't have WiFi which is really inconvenient - this has become an expected service.

Karoly (10/5): Excellent Location! - The one bedroom I got was clean, very spacious, new and beautifully decorated but the location makes this place even better. You will be at a safe and short walk away from the train station (easiest way to get to and from the airport), the market, many restaurants/bars, the mall, the bank and tourist information places. Also the unit had a full kitchen with a washer and dryer which was perfect to do the laundry before packing again.
