The faucet in the bathroom sink had pink scum around it and there was mold around the bath tub

• L5664MQstephaned (2/5): Dirty - As a hockey family we basically live in hotel rooms every winter. I’ve never seen a bathroom this dirty. I was horrified by the state of the bathroom. This much dirt build up is unexplainable, especially when it is supposed to be clean after each stay. Worst i’ve seen so far!!

• T5798OIdonnab (10/5): Great stay in Sudbury - What an enjoyable time, the staff was excellent, they understood our needs and where quick to oblige. The breakfast was hot and delicious with many choices. The pool was clean and a great temperature for swimming. In fact the entire hotel was clean and inviting. Would definitely stay here again.

Check in was super easy. Pool was warm, hot tub was great. Pool area was clean and stocked with towels. Breakfast was great. Could make waffles, cereals, bagels, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, tea, coffee and juice. Comveniantly located near shopping and restaurants. Was our first stay and we will be back for sure!!

• Dave2961 (8/5): Always a Great Stay - I always have a great stay here, check in is always fast and easy. The property is located near everything we need. I love it when it's quiet and we have a good chance of getting the pool and hot tub to ourselves. Breakfast is okay, no complaints.

I stay here every time I come to Sudbury for work as it is always clean, staff is very nice and the breakfast is always great. Highly recommend!

• AlandaT (10/5): Safe and Reliable - Microtel is where I stay any time I am in Sudbury. The rates are reasonable, and the facility is well-situated to get about the city with ease. The facility itself is clean, well-staffed, safe, and has dog-friendly accommodations. Any time I have stayed here I have been treated kindly and with great service.

Shower was very dangerously slippery, had to ask for non slip mat from front desk (mats should be in rooms that have showers only) There is no indication as to when cleaning staff are making rooms. We left our room at 9:40 am and returned at 2:00 pm and room was still not made.

Splatter on walls, hair all over the beds and shower, sink wouldn’t drain, fire alarm not attached to ceiling. Requested room change, second room was under construction and smelt like plaster and must.
• Debassige (8/5): - Location was great The mattress I slept on needs replacing. It was so worn making the mattress L shaped. I am a stomach sleeper, so my back was killing me, I barely slept. I had to sleep at the opposite end of the mattress, which helped a bit. I am reluctant to stay here again for fear of getting that room again.

I needed a stool for the shower because I have mobility issues and it was at my door before I got to it. The shower at one time had a built in shower and you could tell it had come away from the wall and had to be repaired. The repair was not very nice and unfortunately took away from the overall quality of the room.

• Jamie (6/5): Just a typical overnight resting point. - Convenient location and a nice little room set up for a couple, with a couch and queen bed (would have preferred a king but that doesn’t seem to be an option at this hotel) For such a new hotel; it seems very worn down, and even almost “dated”. The room was not as clean as I would have liked.

• F5664YFkrisk (2/5): Very Disappointing Experience - My husband and young son tried to check in at the Sudbury, ON location. The woman at the front desk noticed my son wearing a hockey team hat and said that no one from that organization was allowed to stay there. My husband told her they were not part of a team booking - and that he was a diamond member and had independently booked. The front desk associate said it didn’t matter and she would be cancelling their reservations for the weekend (3 nights). She said this in front of everyone in the lobby at the time and embarrassed my husband and son and left them without accommodations. He was told that there was no manager available to talk to. I can understand a hotel not allowing team bookings, but to deny an individual family from booking a room just because a young boy was wearing a hat associated with a hockey organization made up of hundreds of players is ridiculous.

• Deaken99 (2/5): Its not what happens, its how you deal with it that counts - Most horribly run hotel. Management do not care about patrons and if there is a crisis they hide and lie. We were a group of about 50 families staying here when the water had to be shut off at 7 AM due to a leak somewhere in the hotel. It did not come back on until 11 AM. While things happen and it was a major inconvenience, our collective issue was not the incident, we understand things happen, it was how the hotel management treated everyone. They hid, ignored concerns, did not communicate or offer options, only spoke through their desk staff (poor desk staff left abandoned by their management) with those that complained, gave different stories to different people, lied about who was getting what compensation (even though we have it in writing as proof). It took over 24 hours to have a live conversation with an assistant manager who could do nothing while the manger was MIA. We were promissed a call on the Monday by the head manager, but only received a form email saying that was her final communication. Not even the courtesy to hear our concerns in person or live on the phine. They offered a pittance of a discount equal to the HST on one night stay, $32. Not even enough to cover our breakfast and other costs incurred when we had to leave the hotel to find working toilets at 8 AM. If you want to be treated with disdain and disrespect when the hotel cannot deliver the basic things you are paying for, and they still expect you to pay for it all, then this is the place for your stay in Sudbury.

• Kathleen (8/5): Good comfortable stay especially for family - Staff helped to address issues in room quickly. The pre-check in was super nice especially as we were dealing with a cranky little one so we were able to just pick up keys after a little quick verification and go right to our room. Comfortable beds and plenty of parking as well as lots of usb ports which was appreciated! Decent selection of food for complimentary breakfast and time range (6:30-9am) was perfect. Tissue box and body wash was practically non existent when we arrived so we needed to get front staff to bring up replacements. She was quite prompt which we appreciated! I found the eggs and sausages weren’t that warm for breakfast. I found the price of room was a little excessive for the room. We didn’t have much selection and we had a medical appointment in town so bit the bullet. The front staff did mention that they do offer medical discount and I wish I had known that beforehand. Better advertising would have been preferable.
