Guest Reviews
- Teague (1/5): They cancelled my reservation - Nothing Hotel concierge
- damon (1/5): i had no remote to it tv and couldn’t turn it on. no orange juice for the breakfast and the agent was talking about pers - clean the guy behind the counter started asking me about good gf and should he get back with her. i’m just trying to check in
- Beth (7/5): I will pass on staying here again. - The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The internet was slow and frustrating. The shower had mold and the toilet ran. The area where the hotel was located was a little shady.
- Diana (10/5): -
- Lawrence (10/5): - Easy to get to Nothing
- Rina (2/5): -
- Rina (2/5): Every thing was breaking in the room, toilet, leak in sink, water on floor, glass door handle broken - Was good Lots of pot holes
- Jamie (3/5): Horrible stay, in a less than adequate room for the price. - Convenient location The hotel smelled of marijuana, the stair wells the elevators you could noticeably smell weed everywhere, I am a police officer. When we went to shower the first night, we stayed two, as my sons were in the local state wrestling tournament, there was a electric clipper with pubic hair left on the bathroom counter, which was brought to the managers attention and nothing was said or done about it. There were also dirty ear plugs and trash left in the room. The room did not look cleaned. The beds were also uncomfortable we would have not stayed the second night but we finished late and had a 31/2 hr drive home

- RobinC286 (5/5): Next time I'll spend a LITTLE more and stay somewhere a LOT nicer. - The bed was comfortable. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. The guest before us spent several minutes trying to unsuccessfully pry his waffle out of the waffle maker. There was actually a home-made sign posted that you would be charged extra if you took a plate to your room! This is an old facility desperately in need of an update.
- Stephen (8/5): Worth it just a little expensive - Cleanliness Size
- Bill (10/5): Excellent - The property is spotless and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a very good value. We have stayed beef here before and we will continue to come here every time we’re in the area.

- Robin (8/5): -
- KIMBERLY (7/5): - The room was good, The girl checking us in was nice, funny and pleasant. The breakfast and coffee was almost 30 minutes late opening up. There was 1 guy working it, he was very slow and on occasion would sit down. About 10 people just standing around waiting. There were not any forks.
- Ace (1/5): -

- RAYMOND (5/5): Say 4 hours - Seems like the sheets and the pillow covers weren't replaced from the day before cuz you can smell perfume and just didn't seem fresh if that makes sense
- Mary (8/5): It was great and I will retuned - Breakfast was good, rooms were clean and comfortable The floor in the hallways on my floor needed to be vacuumed
- Frances (8/5): Good location - Breakfast was okay. The net flex did not work nor the regular cable. The staff says she would be up to look at it, but she never showed up.. we also had to keep filling the toilet up with water so that it will flush.
- Deborah (10/5): Very clean rooms. - Room was very clean. Staff was very welcoming and breakfast was excellent. Love that it is pet friendly I was not told about the $25 per pet fee till I arrived.
- Cynthia (4/5): - Dirty stained towels in bathroom. Breakfast was awful!!!
No coffee in pots no creamer. No one there to ask!
- Tony (2/5): - My son and I was there for his baseball World Series. We stayed in room 207. It may have been a great price being it was July 4th weekend. But I am paying for it now with bed bug bites. Beware! Check for bed bugs!
- Kylli (10/5): Pleasant & perfect for my kids and I - Pool was clean, room was nice, everything we expected and more. Perfect for a family. Everything was superb.
- Michelle (8/5): -
- Nathalie (8/5): Bien - Hôtel correct Rien
- Patrick (1/5): Uncomfortable - Location My room had a bed bug on my pillow.
- Sherese (9/5): Other than the termites the stay was good - I didn't like when the termites came in the room. They were bad outside by the pool only to go to my room and some were in there. They were also in the stairwell crawling on the wall a line of them from the light to the wall socket/plug
- Guest (10/5): Easy check in with an attendant available 24/7, straight to the hot shower, right into the comfy bed, woke up, got a - Right off highway, perfect stopping point headed to Galveston for a cruise, complimentary breakfast, best value for 1 night stay, and call hotel direct for best rating. Only downside was dated shower, but that didn’t bother me at all!
- Shuntale (10/5): -
- James (1/5): - The best part of the stay was leaving this location We've stayed in numerous La Quintas across the country the pet feed didn't mind it the audacity of the guy to try to charge me two rooms for three dogs was absolutely ridiculous there's no such thing as giving a negative start but if I could I would the room was absolutely filthy the carpet had sticky spots in it so you had to wear your shoes the entire time the bed was like laying on a couple of sheets of cardboard and breakfast was pretty much non-existent who serves cereal with no milk bagels with no cream cheese this isn't a prison sentence is it
- Kiser (10/5): Extremely pleasant. - Quit and comfortable. Everything was good.
- Michele (10/5): -
- Sherpa17360747724 (10/5): Hot in the Lake - Had an amazing time and visit with friends in Lake Charles. Staff was great. Breakfast was hot and plentiful and the weather was perfect. The hotel is located in a quiet area which suits me well.
- Rachael (9/5): - The only the I seen wrong was y'all didn't have bacon an the sausage was nasty
- Jacob (8/5): -
- Shannon (8/5): -
- Pleshette (10/5): -
- Conner (10/5): Cozy clean and cheap - The bed was so cozy I fell asleep as soon as I laid in it! There wasn't nothing I didn't like
- IceWolfy (9/5): - Breakfast included
- Teresa (5/5): Would not recommend to anyone. - Breakfast was great! The check in person gave us a room on the third floor, and when we went to get on the elevator, she then told us it didn’t work and not as we checked in. Then there was a roach on the curtains and plastic covering the smoke detector. The shower was dirty.
- Montemayor (10/5): - The staff were polite.
- Detreall (1/5): - I did not stay at the property the front desk agent would not accept 2 forms of credit card payment. I wanted 1 card for my stay and a different card for my pet deposit. I was told I could only use 1 form of payment. I know from experience working in the hospitality industry 2 forms of payment is allowed maybe this property doesn’t offer 2 choices.
- Gilbert (9/5): -
- Chantel (9/5): - Breakfast was great, location was pretty decent as well None smoking rooms which everyone going to but there should be a few smoking rooms in any hotels to me period
- Montemayor (10/5): - Nice place 👌
- Bernardo (9/5): Muy como - Si muy accesible Todo bien
- Michael (8/5): -
- James (6/5): - The parking was okay except for there was a bunch of out of town guys working in the area staying there blocking most of the driveway, parking crooked and things like that they had big trucks but they still could have manage to park better, not the hotels fault just an inconvenience. The air condition works fine the water pressure was absolutely terrible I mean it was a trickle of water coming out of the sink the shower wasn't much better the beds were uncomfortable and lumpy. I have stayed at La Quinta quite a few times not this location there is room for improvement.
- Alexey (6/5): - The room was a little dirty. My feet were almost black from the carpet so I had to wear shoes. The room felt humid/wet so I don’t know if there was an issue with the AC. The phone kept malfunctioning and ringing in the middle of the night.
- Jennifer (10/5): - The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I was very pleased with our stay.
- Stacey (4/5): - First room they gave me was very musty and super humid. Had to switch rooms
- Daryl (10/5): - Convenient
- Becky (10/5): -
- Alexander (2/5): Manager is unreasonable, hope you have no issues - I had two rooms, one for 3 nights and one for 2 nights. I was supposed to have the 3 nights and my employee the 2 nights. When we checked in, we didn't discuss which room was for which and so on the third night they made me pay for an additional night even though it was their mistake to not check with us which room should be with which person. The manager was obstinate and was supposed to call me about the matter this monday, but never did. Finally and this matter less to me but there was a dead roach at the front door upon entry and a live german cockroach in my room's bathroom. There was hair behind the door in the bathroom and also when I moved the night table next to my bed, it was really gross and dirty. Bed was nice, breakfast was fine.
- WILBUR (8/5): - Overall good
- jasmeenv2025 (10/5): Nice experience - My stay was amazing at la Quinta, the breakfast was divine and the room was so neat. Also their customer service is great, both front desk and housekeeping. The staff is very cooperative and friendly. Overall it was an great experience staying there and will recommend everybody.
- Nicholette (10/5): - North of ih-10 by Horseshoe (< 1 mile away) and such an incredible price, almost 1/3 less expensive than all the hotels in Lake Charles! Completely worth it. VERY CLEAN, modern, excellent location, great facilities including a laundry room and a well kept pool. Pet friendly and they don't charge an outrageous pet deposit. Pet fee is $25 per pet per night and they actually have pet waste bags outside (Nugget never does), with plenty of areas they can go. ( There is a weight limit on pets ) Great staff all around.
During the week it is very quiet, hardly any guests. It is also quiet throughout the night and weekends because it is mainly gentlemen who come in to town to work.
Also, they will price match any online booking service. I usually use booking.com; they matched the price for the two extra days I stayed. Pillows were ridiculous. Seemed like half the stuffing, and it's useless to fluff them cuz they flatten like an uncooked pancake immediately.
Toilet is way too close to the shower, and mine didn't have a lid
- Michael (10/5): - Check in friendly/efficient.
Evening desk personal very helpful.
Relaxing sleep with the choice of pillows and soft bedsheets.
Great place for a break during travels.
- Nathan (4/5): - Almost everytime going to front desk would have to call the hotel to get someone at the desk. In the gym there is no water, no towels, 2/3 of the machines dont work, the cable machine has been misused so it barely works and theres no attachments for it. Dumbbells only go up to 20lbs. And it feels like they cut the air off in there feeling atleast 10° warmer. Several times during the stay there would be dogs barking from someonea room for 3-4 hours at a time
- Vivian (10/5): - The staff was very pleasant and the actual location was pretty convenient to the casino.
- Heather (10/5): - Overall the experience was good. Clean room and comfortable beds. My only complaint was the waffle batter tasted spoiled. The desk clerk was very polite and helpful.
- Gregory (6/5): - Not the cleanest and old
- 245emileeg (2/5): THE ABSOLUTE WORST. - Absolutely terrible service. Hotel reeked of mold, unsatisfactory standards. Rude to US service members and pregnant women. Manager refuses to refund us and keeps dodging all calls. Filed corporate complaint
- Ashley (8/5): - Good a little expensive for one night but really great over all
- Samuel (10/5): - Clean room and friendly Staff
- Stephanie (6/5): - Staff advised us that the elevator was under inspection and there was a possibility that we would be stuck if we proceeded. Check in took 30 minutes due to an issue with their system & Expedia. Linens were clean, but they were aged. Location is the plus side, if you are looking to gamble at the nearby Horseshoe.
- Tonja (8/5): Overall Okay - It was very close to the casino which was a plus. The room was clean. We slept in so we didn't get to eat the breakfast provided by the hotel. The towels are a bit thin & the elevator didn't work the first day we were there.
- michael (8/5): - I dint like that your breakfast dint have eggs or Sauage or bacon and that the food was cold beause they did not plug in warmer the sausage gravy and biscut being hot woold have been nice and come on eggs or not that expensive if so add a dollar or 2 to room price quit being cheap.I stayed in 2 of your hotels in 3 weeks all cheap on breafast I believe ill drive a little further and stay at Best Western and no im not the only one that will be doing so Thank you I checked out a day early so that should guy quite afew eggs vet-ry disapointed
- Verified traveler (2/5): This place sucks! Do not at this hotel - Floor tile unevenin bathroom and out, bathroom door dragging on floor and not able to completely open, elevator worked half the time (manager said the elevator was overheating and had to cool down) no lids for coffee cups. This place is so bad that we checked out a day early. When checking out manager stated she could not provide receipt since the internet was down.
- Gilberto (5/5): -
- jorge (4/5): - The doors had to be slammed to close and all the other rooms also, people around 5:00 in the morning in the hallway talk and laughing. Dirty sheets and small towels
- Kershenstine (7/5): -
- Russell (4/5): - I did not like any thing about this property. The elevator did not work, the lobby had an odor to it. The pool was hazy and dirty. The staff barley spoke English. The breakfast was terrible and we were told that we would be charged $10 to take our breakfast to our room. If I had not already paid and couldn't get a refund we would have left. It is not convenient to anything you would want to do in town
- Juan (6/5): It could have been better for the cost - Netflix app didn't work. Bed was not comfortable most on the hard side. The pillows are the cheap kind that have no density to it or fluffiness to it. I woke up with a sore neck. They could've done better on the pillows at least.
- Angelina (9/5): -
- Jon (8/5): - Staff was very friendly
- Tony (10/5): - Check in was great. Went to check out and get a receipt and the guy decided eating his cereal was more important than helping the people standing at the counter
- Matthew (10/5): - The breakfast sucked, but the hotel was nice. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and modern. The hotel towels were very used. The pool was nice and the work out room had nice equipment. The hotel snack bar was extremely under stocked and over priced. The elevator shut down, due to overheating? That was a scary thought.
- Linda (10/5): - Great place easy access to the casinos and pet friendly
- Maria (4/5): - The bathroom and the chair in the desk were so dirty when I set on the chair you can see a lot of dust and my black pants get al dirty
- James (8/5): A night in Louisiana - It was a good stay, but lots of people were there for the casino in the area. This was not the hotel's fault, but they were loud. Also the cleaning lady was loud talking to somebody else who worked there.
