• Eduardo (10/5): A must stay hotel. - We had an amazing stay at Hotel Bahía de la Luna. Cino greeted us as we arrived to the hotel late from the airport. They had saved up a meal for us upon our arrival. Irvin and the rest of the crew made us feel very welcomed. They attended to all of our needs without hesitation.
• Valentina (10/5): - Bahia de la Luna is a gem inside the dangerous passage to the beautiful La Boquilla Bay. The place is beautiful and the staff goes beyond to provide a good service. However, getting there is tricky and only for the brave, especially during rain seasons. Therefore, if renting a car highly recommend 4X4 to handle the stiff dirt road ahead. Or get a taxi they know how to navigate it. Because this little piece of paradise is so remote, the dining accessibility is also scarce. While the hotel offers breakfast, lunch and dinners, it is a limited menu.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Overpriced and overvalued - The place is isolated and requieres a 4wd to safely get there since the road is in really bad shape and steep. The cabins are rustic and hot but clean. There were a lot of wasp in the common areas in the cabins. The food was good, the staff friendly was but the beach wasnt as pleasant as described: rough sand, debris and some trash and sighly violent sea. At night looks fantastic. Additinally, prices showed in this website were way higher that those ahowed in google for example. Good to be at the beach during the day but not to stay in the cabins.

Friendly staff, welcoming and homely attitude, excellent food, plenty of opportunities for deep relaxation, good place to be peaceful and tranquil. And it feels like you are in real Mexico

• Huston (10/5): Great weekend getaway - We had a terrific weekend stay here. It is located on a gorgeous secluded beach. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were very pleased with the food. The dinner especially was delicious. We were glad to learn before hand from another review that drinking water is not supplied in the cabins! Come prepared for the duration of your stay as you will not want to have to leave. There is lots of wildlife around. We missed the boat for whale watching but we heard it was incredible and we were jealous of those who went.

• Heather (8/5): - This is a very special secluded spot if you are looking to escape and get away from it all. The view and the beach are incredible. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming but most do not speak any English so brush up on your Spanish in advance. WIFI is only available during the day but this suited us just fine. Only criticism is the mattress. We stayed in the Neptuno cottage and the mattress was like cement. We were so sore after 2 days we would not have lasted any longer so I had an amazing massage right at the property and that really helped. I should mention we have a very soft mattress at home. Overall it’s a magical place and you won’t be disappointed.

• Odiseo (8/5): Con algunos detalles - Servicio excelente, sin embargo se fue la luz y falto el agua. Solicitamos cambio de habitación por este inconveniente y no fue posible. Debieron reembolsarnos una noche por este inconveniente ya que no es una zona segura el camino hacia la habitación. Solicitamos una lámpara y no tenían. Nos dieron una botella de vino en cortesía que cuesta $100 pesos. A todos les cambiaban habitación excepto a nosotros.

• Jatziry (8/5): - Beautiful location, if you are driving ,once you turn off on Pochutla, start to pay attention to the side of the road for one sign where you need to turn. Tell the taxi driver you are going to playa boquilla. There is not hot water, no ac, no fridge. The restaurant is open from 8 am to 10 pm. Because of it's remote location, internet service is temperament. There is delicious coffee ready by 7:30 am. AMAZING 🌞 RISE AND 🌞 SET. BEAUTIFUL BEACH ⛱️ ( you can camp)

• Ari (10/5): - If your looking for a quiet getaway on the Oaxacan coast this is your place. We stayed in a cabana right in the beach but the other hillside ones also looked beautiful for the view. If your willing to walk. The beach is small but lovely and didnt feel crowded. (At least in NOV) the staff were all so nice. The food was excellent. Simple lunch options. Gorge made spectacular dinners. An amazing chef who definitely loves his job. Lots of comfy lounge areas. Tons of birds and local wildlife to view. Kayaking, paddle boarding & snorkeling gear included. We were not the biggest fans of the snorkeling gear but it was free. Not all taxis will take you all the way down the road but most do and the drive was not half as bad as we thought it would be. Awesome little reading area with tons of books. The only downfalls i can think of is that the cabanas to not have AC and there are bugs sometimes. They provide mosquito nets and we didnt mind not having AC but i know this would bother some people. My only suggestion to them is to get bedside fans in good working condition its quite humid at night. And its also not the cheapest but i found it reasonable. In the time we spent in Oaxaca this was definitely our favorite place. The land in the area is going to have a lot more development a few years down the road so get that private beach time in while it lasts! I know we will one day.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - We didn't like how harsh it was to get there and didn't like the fact that our ''cabana'' was full of ants (inside and outside). It was a bit hard to clim up to our house and I would have liked a transportation service late at night. It was also quite expensive.

El hotel: cabañas un poco alejadas de la playa y restaurant, prácticamente en la montaña; las cabañas un poco descuidadas, mosquiteros con hoyos, la cama un poco dura; la comida deliciosa, la cena del chef de otro planeta, exquisita! Precio de Alimentos razonable, precio de la estancia cara en relación calidad! Para descansar es lo menor, playa muy tranquila sin oleaje. Para llegar son 55min desde aeropuerto de Huatulco, y son 15min de terracería en bajada, a tomar en cuenta. Taxi 700, hasta 600 pesos. P

• Olfa (6/5): - Muchos insectos, alacranes, arañas y hormigas en los cuartos. La gente que visita el hotel es diversa, pero algunas familias muy ruidosas poniendo música a todo volumen en la playa. No aconsejable para un descanso. La comida buena pero el servicio muy lento. La atención del personal fue amable.

• Alejandro (8/5): Hotel con la bahía mas hermosa de Oaxaca. - Lo mejor del lugar es su hermosa bahía y también la comida, el Chef Jorge es muy agradable y profesional, en mi caso mi hija es vegetariana y no hubo ninguna complicación, le dio opciones personalizadas para elegir, la comida tiene precios justos de acuerdo a su excelente calidad, servicios de Kayac y Snorkel incluidos así como el desayuno continental, las habitaciones son rústicas pero confortables, en mi caso fue una habitación en la parte alta inmersa en la vegetación, de noche se ve mágico el lugar por su iluminación, el restaurante es ideal para una cena romántica a la orilla del mar, el lugar no cuenta con grandes comodidades, pero sin duda me voy con una excelente experiencia y sin duda lo recomiendo para quien quiera conocer algo distinto a lo tradicional, el acceso es un poco complicado, pero nada imposible, eso es bueno porque tienes una bahía prácticamente privada por ser casi inaccesible. El wifi es pésimo, lo que tienen y nada, es lo mismo.

Rustic but comfortable accommodations, incredible beach with some nice snorkeling, and absolutely amazing food. To boot, the owners and staff are fabulous. We’ll be going back for certain!!!!

• Angie (8/5): A couple nights in paradise - This is the place to go if you want to relax at a small yet beautiful beach with very few people, friendly staff, and gourmet food. If you are the type of traveler who loves big all-inclusive resorts, this is not the place for you.
• Verified traveler (6/5): De los mejores si amas la tranquilidad. - La tranquilidad que se vive en el lugar es increible, ideal para relajarse y descansar. Desgraciadamente tuvimos que dejarlo prematuramente por motivos de salud pero sin duda es un buen lugar. Se podrian mejorar algunas cosas como la comida o el acceso al lugar, un poco complicado a pesar de que no esta lejos de Puerto Angel o Pochutla. Las cabañas tienen increible vista muy acogedoras, es cierto que hay bichos (tal vez se podrian aislar un poco mas las cabañas o usar algun fumigante para evitarlos en las cabañas). La playa tranquila excelente, el cielo estrellado, y la poca luz lo hacen muy romantico ideal para parejas. En resumen recomiendo mucho el lugar.

El acceso es el que está un poco difícil, no hay que desesperarse, ya cuando llegues habrá valido la pena.

El personal es muy amable y destaca por su comida. Jorge, el chef del lugar, es espectacular!.... Vale la pena atreverse a algo diferente y pasar unos días en este hotel.

(10/5): Playa casi privada, excelente hotel - El hotel está muy lindo, muy adecuado para mantener el ambiente natural de la playa; la playa hermosa, limpia y sin tanta gente. 100% recomendable. Solo una sugerencia: tienen algunos perros en el hotel y no limpian sus heces lo cual es incomodo al andar descalzo en la playa y antihigiénico, deberían poner más atención en ello.
• michael (10/5): Wonderful! - Bahia is a slice of paradise. Beautiful beach, lovely accommodations, warm hospitality, great drinks and gourmet food! Only hitch was management's slow and ineffective response to a very lage family's lack of child supervision causing us chaos and stress for one day. Everything else was wonderful.
• Angela (10/5): Quiet and tranquil getaway - This was a magical, secret hideaway on the Oaxacan Coast that was amazing. Very relaxing and tranquil.The quiet mornings on a semi empty beach allowed for quiet meditative moments while watching a beautiful sunrise. The food was delicious and always had a good variety of dishes for dinner. The swimming and snorkeling were safe and done frequently by the guest and tourist that came to the resort. The resort offers free use of kayaks, snorkel gear and stand up paddle boards. They were usually available and if not, the wait wasn't too long. The rooms were basic and rustic. The beds had mosquito netting which was helpful but it had a few holes in them so some bugs got in. The shower and toilet area do not have doors which was fine for me as I was traveling solo but could be difficult if you're kinda shy. The water is tepid to cold depending on the time of day. I visited in January so the nights were chilly but became hot quickly during the middle of the night. There is a big fan that you can turn on or you can open the curtains. Open curtains were preferred so you can wake up to the sun rise and hear the ocean crashing. This was a beautiful hidden gem that I can't wait to revisit.
