The host was so lovely and made us a delicious cake, we were so charmed by the space that wished we could stay longer. The space has absolutely everything you could think of. We loved the kitchen and the balcony. It is perfectly situated and very pet friendly. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay!

• Ani (10/5): Perfect stay for discovering Tuscany - We absolutely loved our one week stay here at end of April -beginning of May. Even though we arrived later than expected, Gigliola was there to warmly welcome us—with a delicious homemade cake that made us feel instantly at home. She is such a kind and thoughtful person. The place itself is wonderful, with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Its location is perfect for exploring Tuscany and taking in all the beauty of the region. If you’re planning to visit Tuscany, I can wholeheartedly recommend staying here. We truly had a lovely time and would happily come back.

• micke70 (10/5): - La location é di dimensioni notevoli, ha tutti i servizi descritti + comodità eccellente, la cucina era completa di tutto compreso la macchina da caffè con cialde. Ringrazio la Sig.ra Gigliola e sua nipote, per la sua accoglienza e disponibilità. Lo consiglio alle famiglie che vanno in visita a Siena e d'intorni, a chi piace la buona cucina e il benessere del proprio corpo, vista la vicinanza delle terme di Petriolo. nulla!

• Sara (10/5): Weekend di relax - La casa è molto grande e accogliente, come la padrona che è stata molto gentile e disponibile ( al nostro rientro a casa ieri sera abbiamo trovato una buonissima torta di mele). Composta da una fornitissima cucina due camere matrimoniali belle grandi due bagni uno con doccia e uno con vasca e un grande salotto con tavolo per tante persone. Non ci siamo goduti troppo il giardino perché il tempo era poco!

• Abi (9/5): Lovely base to explore the Tuscan countryside, with everything we needed. - It was authentic Italian and the host was wonderful & outdoor terrace a wonderful spot for breakfast. The low ceilings were restrictive in parts of the apartment.

• Zeggio (9/5): - L' accoglienza di Gigliola è insuperabile, come essere a casa in famiglia, con tanto di torta (un plus, una coccola non scontata) e suggerimenti sui luoghi da visitare. Abbiamo soggiornato in mansarda. Ambiente accogliente e funzionale, dotato di ogni necessità per l'ospite. La terrazza è spettacolare con paesaggi e tramonti mozzafiato. La location è tranquilla e avere l'auto parcheggiata sotto casa è davvero comodo per potersi spostare autonomamente e ovunque si desidera. Consiglio vivamente per chi desidera una vacanza in tranquillità come stare in famiglia.

• Vytautas (10/5): A delightful place in a beautiful village surrounded by nature and nice people. - Our stay at this place was a delight! Right upon our arrival, Signora Gigliola greeted us warmly and showed us the apartment (communication with her was a pure pleasure during our entire stay). The apartment is spacious and comfortable (a large living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate kitchen, a spacious balcony, a small swimming pool, and a rest area in the yard). We found everything we needed there. And Monticiano itself is a lovely place! We enjoyed walking, jogging, and visiting the pizzeria there (one of the best pizzas of my life, by the way). Grazie mille! We felt a bit sad leaving this place because our stay there was so good. That was the only thing we didn't like.)

Our host was so warm and welcoming and even baked us the most delicious apple cake to welcome us. The property was very spacious and well equipped and the beds were very comfortable with beautiful linen. We loved our time there.

• Māris (9/5): Superb - The apartment was very suitable for families, with many beds and everything needed for a long-term stay. The hostess had baked an apple pie. Since the weather unexpectedly turned chilly, she made sure the house was warm. On the balcony, we could sunbathe, have lunch, and dry our laundry. The apartment had two bathrooms, which was very convenient in our case. We would gladly return in the autumn to enjoy the nature and landscapes of Tuscany. We visited various tourist attractions. Without a car, it would be difficult to get around, as most places are 1–2 hours away. The town itself doesn’t have a well-developed cultural life, and many notable tourist sites are located at some distance. We visited Siena, Vinci, San Gimignano, Saturnia, and even Florence.
• Aimee (8/5): Great size apartment - The property is so spacious, much more than I expected! We were attending a wedding nearby so did not get to spend much time there but it had everything we needed, and the tiny town has a lovely little wine shop serving food and drinks. The host does not speak English so if you have any questions please send them in advance, she was a lovely lady so I know this would make things a lot easier 😊 it has parking outside, and good aircon Nothing can change this but the tiles coming out of the bathroom were slippy, be careful

I would like to mention the wonderful hostess, who welcomed us very cordially, prepared for our arrival delicious cake, wrote us an interesting itinerary for exploring the neighborhood! • Marius (10/5): Excellent stay in Tuscany - We've spent an amazing couple of days in "La Casa di Gigliola". Since we celebrated our wedding at San Galgano few days later and we had guests arriving ahead of the wedding (with no availability in the Agriturismo where the wedding was hosted), we were looking for apartments to guest multiple people in the nights preceding the wedding. We've checked in first in the apartment situated above together with our frenchie (yes, they are dog friendly and no additional fee was charged for our dog). Several guests checked in the afternoon and night following. We have been personally greeted by Gigliola. Although she does not speak English, nor do we speak Italian, she understands it and during our stay there we found a way to communicate despite the language barrier. She managed to convey a lot about kindness and life. Gigliola offered us some home baked cake "Torta di Mele" upon our arrival, which she baked twice during our stay. Maybe we were really hungry after our trip from Germany, but this warm cake had an amazing scent and was really one of the best cakes we've ever tasted. The apartments were well equiped, with everything required during the stay: from glasses, to plates and cuttlery, coffee filter and coffee machine - there is nothing missing. In the apartment situated above there is also an air conditioning. There are a lot of items in the house, from silver combs to silver jewelry boxes, giving a nice touch and authenticity to the place. One of the core values Gigliola has shared with us, besides her hospitality, is the cleanliness ("la pulizia"). This was felt to the fullest and it is amazing, since she does all the housekeeping by herself. We really appreciated our stay there, including the breathtaking view from the terrace and the beautiful garden. We recommend "La Casa di Gigliola" and we hope that one day we can return to this Tuscan jewel. Everything was perfect

She baked us two cakes, was absolutely wonderful and lovely. The appartment at the attic is very romantic, it has a large kitchen with a lovely roof terrace with a shade, perfect for breakfasts. The apartment is spacious, very clean, well equipped it has airco’s and a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you Gigliola!
