Guest Reviews
- Beattie (6/5): K2B walk - Lovely and Clean, towels were great, well equiped for a short stay.
They were honest about it being industral apartments for working people.
Wasn't a problem. No traffic noise, quite quiet. Seagulls and pigeons a bit noisy and crapped everywhere.
One Matress not good quality.
- Luke bowden 310589 (8/5): - The flat had everything I needed for cooking and cleaning ect. The estate is for workers or local people so not fancy or anything but good value and has everything you need to live for a week or 2.
- Lee (8/5): Work trip - Good location! Facilities were okay! Perfect for a work stay. Parking, got a ticket not well sign posted.
- Veronique (7/5): -
- Marcelo (8/5): - Bom custo benefício. Apartamento bem equipado e espaçoso. Não tem estacionamento na propriedade e não há informações claras de onde encontrar um estacionamento pago nas proximidades.
- Jade-louise (10/5): -
- Wayne (6/5): It was nice and clean and the lady who worked in the office was lovely helpful and polite - I didnt have breakfast No Parking
- Grahame (8/5): - Basic but clean and spacious and in quiet area, apart from when the seagulls wake up before they head out to sea.
- jonathan (8/5): Quality apartment for my stay, great friendly staff - Close to work Nothing

- Kyle (1/5): Save for summer, or bring a sleeping bag - Conveniently located No heating, absolutely froze the full time was there
- Conlin (8/5): - Its warm, nice size rooms, bathrooms modern Noisy neighbours sometimes
- Julie (8/5): Barrow Island Flats.. - Quiet central location. Easy access to public transport. Car parking is dismal due to Council regulations. No parking at buildings for more than 2 hours. I got a ticket.
- Emma (10/5): -
- Georgina (9/5): -
- Paul (1/5): Won’t be going back anytime soon - Location No heating , broken cooker. Cheap uncomfortable bed. Poor shower and generally grubby with lots of cobwebs. I even had to move to an apartment and I have not been offered any compensation for the issues I had with my accommodation!
- Boulton (9/5): - It was very clean and great value for money
- Juliana (10/5): -
- Rayssa (10/5): - It was nice and clean I had a perfect stay at this apartment
- Euan (5/5): - location a vacuum could of been run over the lounge area, shower rail kept falling out, and shower head leaked badly from the hose.
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Alan (7/5): - Closeness to work. Main room and bedroom decor needs a little bit of work to repair superficial damage.
- Stirling (9/5): Cozy and warm bolt hole to return to after work. - Great staff, friendly and helpful, responsive to requests or points raised.
Great location, neat and tidy apt, well kitted out for a week-long stay.
If I'm back in town, I'd definitely try and stay there again.
Parking is limited to 2 hours, but it was not a problem after work to park next to the apt overnight. (Don't quote me on that though!).
Take away options were round the corner, and the Devonshire pub (opposite corner) was a friendly option. There as nothing to not like really.
Oh, the shower pressure wasn't great, but that's a 1st-world problem! Other than that. all good 'Fine and Dandy'

- Helena (3/5): False advertising. Expected sterile & clean environment, got a horrible smelly uncared for space. - Easy parking. Heating was good. No heat on at arrival Xmas eve evening. Advertised toiletries available but insufficient to get us through two days to the shops being available to stock up. Previous guests underwear left on floor. Advertised images made the apartment look clean fresh and modern. Reality, horrible smell, musty old property. Disgusting dirty mouldy windows and curtains that haven’t been cleaned in a year at best. Floor in bathroom is lumpy and spongy under Lino. Likely because of cracks in shower tray causing water to leak under it. Worried we would go through the shower tray given how weak it was. Had it not been Xmas we’d have gone elsewhere. Given it was Xmas we didn’t wish to further upset ourselves with confrontations with organisers who clearly don’t have any standards. We simply didn’t want to deal with that.

- Carol (6/5): It’s a good location and meets my needs. If you are not good on your legs then ask for a ground floor apartment - I stay here as it is close to my work , always well presented and clean The outside of the building could do to be looked at
- Marcela (5/5): Ok for the purpose. - It was cosy, good value for money Lack of cleaning. Tried to hoover the place and the hoover didn’t suck the dirty at all even thought I cleaned the hoover completely as it was all blocked off.
The place would do better with some diy as the floor in the bathroom was coming off, shower was not good at all. Just few simple things that would do the place better to compensate the outside that doesn’t look anything pleasant.
- Thomas (2/5): Miserable. - No heating. No kitchen utensils, no working fridge.
- Claire (8/5): Great wee apartment - The apartment was basic but clean, had everything needed for cooking, and washing and drying clothes? good location for BAE, only a 10 min walk into the town centre and morrisons, i stay here quite often, always happy to go back every time There really isnt anything i didnt like, but there is no smart tv here, do if your like me and need netflix etc in the evenings then take along a fire stick, internet is good 😃
- Scott (8/5): Great value for money and comfortable space - Well presented and convinced location Needs better windows as it got quite cold even with the heating on
- filipe (10/5): -
- Martin (7/5): Convenient - Tidy and quiet. Mattress needs replaced
- andrew (8/5): We enjoyed our stay, the town is near by, & retail parks are close & easy to get to Lake District - It was nice & clean, most things in the kitchen was enough for what we needed,
We had to go to Windermere, which was a short drive, The no parking was a problem, as we had to leave car in a car park most days.
- Jayden (7/5): Barrow Island is worst area ever been - neglected area - Availability Everything from the location and building in run down area neglected and gardens full of dog poos everywhere
- Lee (8/5): Barrow trip - Everything I needed for a work trip. More TV channels would be nice, outside light needed.

- Catalin (10/5): Excellent stay - The appartment was very clean and comfortable, and very close to my work. Also ground floor was a bonus The wind brought some leaves in front of the door and there was no broom to clean them. Also, there was no doormat.

Shower pressure was weak
Cold shower dial was hard to twist
- Rao (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (5/5): It was fine, good pub (Devonshire) around the corner - I used the apartment as a cheap alternative to staying in the Lake District, so an hour+ drive in everyday (my choice as travelling solo) The Apartment is a bit warn out, the wood work needs to be updated, parking could be a pain, pigeons living between the shower and the wall of the bathroom, didn’t see anyone to report this
- Mick (9/5): Superb - It suited my needs, WiFi was great bed was good, location to the place I was working was just two miles away. Overall if your working in barrow I recommend Maritime Apartments Seagulls wake up at 4 am 😂😂😂
- Mark (7/5): I’m here for work always clean and tidy clean mid shift for me even though I say not needed - Good staff easy check inn as normal Nothing all ok
- Bevan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mrs (7/5): Good - When I booked back on November . I was sent a message back saying they had put me in a ground floor flat because I have a disability. When I arrived they said they had moved me to a third floor flat . Which was very difficult for me climbing stairs. I could not book anywhere else because everywhere was booked up because of Dave Day. Very disappointed.
- Angela (8/5): Affordable and clean - Clean
Convenient for our needs.
Very affordable 2 bedroom apartment
Had the basics for living there for a week
Historic Grade 2 listed apartments Area was a little shabby
Single glazing meant street noise was higher
but the place was much quieter over the weekend
- Tim (10/5): Very comfortable and probably stay again - Everything Nothing
- Mick (10/5): Exceptional - Suited my needs perfectly Nothing
- Les (8/5): A first visit to my home town in 65 years......! - Everything was very good !

- Mick (8/5): Very good - Wifi
- Watson (3/5): 1 star out of 5 - Nothing! advertises parking which isn't the case. We received 2 parking tickets due to this. Costing £75.
Room was basic, reasonably clean but overall experience was rubbish. No signal or WiFi which was also advertised. Would not return. False advertisements overall.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Great valve for money - Very close to work The toilet paper ha
- George (8/5): Fantastic apartment, very comfortable and clean. Would recommend staying here -
- Shaun (8/5): Hidden gem - Doesn’t look much from the outside, great wee place to stay, quiet and has everything you need. Was perfect for travelling for work down here. Would stay again
- Mick (8/5): Very good - Wifi was very poor
- Evans (7/5): Good - The closeness to work, the apartment was fine and suited my needs There were issues with getting hot water in the shower and there was some water leakage from the shower tray
- Rachelle (5/5): Clean and comfy but questionable location. - Clean. Good value for money. Comfortable. The location wasn’t great. It didn’t feel safe as a single female traveller.
- Phil (8/5): Lovely, clean & very well equipped . Great value . Steps to 3rd floor gave me a great workout 🤣 -
- Phil (8/5): Great value for money - Did what it said on the tin
- Brian (9/5): Superb - The size of the apartment. However if given the choice I would have preferred a ground or first floor apartment better. Apart from the level of the apartment, nothing
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (8/5): Very good -

- James (8/5): Good value, would deffo stay again if I am back down here working. - Price, Cleanliness, Wifi Nothing
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable but basic. - Comfortable but basic apartment. Ideal location for our requirements, though could be off-putting if you don’t know the area (I do). Surprisingly quiet and feels much safer than you’d think on first impression. Like most serviced apartments, could do with some tlc. A few hours tidying up decor, flooring etc would make all the difference. No iron. Good price overall.
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional stay - Excellent facilities, hosts were brilliant and very helpful. Cleaning, maintenance and reception staff were really nice. Would definitely stay again.
- Oluwadamilare (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andstacey (8/5): Fine accomodation for what i needed as a contractor working in the area. - Good value for money, handy location for what i needed, comfortable, and lastly the staff were all very very helpful and friendly. Very old windows therefore the apartment gets very cold (i did stay in November and December so a little coldness was expected).
