Guest Reviews
- stephenwI532RO (10/5): Great apart from one AxiL.L - I would like to thank all of the Staff members at travel lodge well apart from one AXIL.L . AXIL is a very rude individual making my partner feel very uncomfortable. Snide remarks and bad attitude Axil excells in this department. Firstly refusing to take a very small bag of rubbish and making my partner put it in the bin out side was her remark. Every time my partner passes Axil in the reception mumbles to her self and goes out of her way to be unpleasant. Axil gave a guest in the hotel the wrong change and nearly arguing with a fellow guest . It's now got to the point that my partner is now got such bad anxiety when entering the lobby. My partner has many mental health issues and Axil is not making it easy to stay here. I just hope someone with authority reads this and takes action. It's a shame because Axil in my mind should not be i hospitality because her attitude is terrible.
- gavinmH1817WZ (10/5): Buisness Stay - Was visiting for buisness and things the perfect location for all the meeting in Glasgow. Close to local transport links. Travelodge Breahead is always a lovely stay, staff always welcoming and say hello on passing. Rooms are clean and well presented.
- jennbY1520YY (10/5): 10/10 - Great stay at the braehead travel lodge yet again, staff very friendly and helpful as always
- Steve_Tr46 (4/5): Below average Travelodge - The hotel is very tired and run down. The room wasn't clean. There was no soap/gel in both of the bathroom dispensers. The car park was run down and there was lots of litter. The staff were fine however.
- Pilotjohnny (10/5): Pleasant stay with great staff - Stayed here for work in janurary and was great. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was delicious. Hotel is placed next to an amusement centre and shopping centre which was quite helpful for any shopping needs I had.
Would highly recommend though!
- Q9890KIdebbiej (10/5): Every week I stay here and all staff are pleasant and go out there way to accommodate you highly recommend it here - All the staff are great and pleased to see u very polite and go out there way to help very clean place to stay excellent parking close to shops
- L4220CUryans (10/5): Good placed hotel - Great hotel well placed for the area and is clean and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and accommodate every need. Free car parking and safe
- 905grahamc (8/5): Perfectly adequate - Took ages for front desk staff to process my stay, should have booked online and it would have been cheaper. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable ideal for a good night's sleep
- joymartnm (2/5): Check what type of room you are getting. It might not be what you expected! - From my experience, I would encourage anyone booking a room at the Braehead Travelodge, to be sure to confirm that the room they receive is, or is not, a disabled room depending on their needs. The email conformation will not confirm this, nor will anyone you may speak to about the room. The Travelodge has disabled rooms to sell which are very different from standard rooms.
- kylewM2205BZ (10/5): Christmas Time Experience. - Stayed during Christmas time, was a very nice and chilled environment, staff all lovely and friendly, location close to a shopping centre which helped with last minute shopping, room was very cozy with good heating, had a minor problem that was sorted in minutes, overall very pleased with my stay.
- O3991ARmichaele (10/5): đ - 2nd night and couldn't be happier. Clean & quite just what i like. Ladys on reception lovely & very helpful. I would highly recommend staying at travelodge Glasgow braehead.
- darrene2026 (10/5): Highly recommended - Nice quiet hotel friendly staff comfy beds I would stay here again.good location to motorways and food restaurants and shopping centre.
- hamish2026 (4/5): Cold and noisy - The room wasnât very clean or warm the windows let in so much noise and cold. The Wi-Fi was poor and the breakfast too. Very disappointing as we have stayed in travel lodges before and they have been great.
- Alan19988787 (10/5): Fab hotel - Brilliant stay with amazing staff. Particularly Tina who was nothing but kind and helpful throughout our stay. Will be back
- hazelb627 (6/5): Good location, not really dog friendly. - The issue was that the hotel claims âdog friendlyâ, charges ÂŁ15 extra for the dog, which I have no issue with. The hotel also charges for breakfast. I was staying at the hotel with my parents as we were visiting family nearby for Christmas. When we went down to breakfast I was advised that I couldnât have my dog in the restaurant but I also couldnât leave him in the room. So I asked âhow do I get breakfast?â To be told I can fill a plate and take it to my room with my dog. I was made to feel like I was the problem. My parents had to hold onto my dog, for me to get breakfast, and then my mum helped me with my plate, my coffee and my dog onto the lift and back up to my room, to eat there alone, while they then sat down to breakfast. The issue I have is this would have been extremely difficult if I was on my own and I donât like when hotels claim they are dog friendly and they are not. For 9 years I have stayed in many hotels with my pet and most of them do it very well. Most offer a small area to sit in the dining room, when travelling with pets. But to charge for the dog and make no allowances for them is unfair and wrong. It would be better to say âno dogs allowedâ. I was very unhappy about the situation. Even if it the information is stated, it doesnât justify the logistics of navigating the hotel when travelling with pets.
- missbute (10/5): HOTEL IN VERY CLOSE PROXIMATY TO GLASGOW - I received a very warm welcome on arrival and although I arrived at 2.30pm knowing check in was not till 3pm the very kind lady on reception said she would check and see if my room was available and if so she would be happy to check me in ! (SEASON OF GOODWILL !) I was happy to wait if I had to but fortunately the room was ready so that was great.
I got my self settled in and then hit Braehead Shopping mall which was extremely busy as it was Christmas Eve after all !! This Travelodge is within walking distance of the Shopping Mall so is very, very handy.
My stay was absolutely fine had two nights there and my room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Towels changed whilst I was there . I paid a little extra for a Standard Plus Room. These rooms are located on the top floor of the hotel and meant to be quieter rooms. You also get a coffee machine with coffee pods plus hot chocolate and a couple of Kit Cat Biscuits which was a nice touch. Also included in the extra price is full WIFI cover for the period of you stay. So worth thinking about.
I would have NO HESITATION in staying at this particular Travelodge in the future. On my experience I most certainly recommend it. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
- hollah904 (10/5): Best services right here right now - Got the best of services from a very friendly chap Alister ask for a top floor room as I'm a light sleeper and with a smile on his face ,he done it
- 906euanm (10/5): Great staff - Handy location. Clear rooms, towels and beds. Cleaners attentive. Kirsty the at reception was so helpful, helped us with tying our check in with our hospital schedule
- donaldmE8251VH (10/5): Travelodge bareheaded - Nice clean and friendly stayed here for 3nights with my daughter and we both felt comfortable. Staff were amazing took time and chatted away with us.
Tina the AHM was such a laugh
Dinner was lovely thank you all
- tonygT5420NU (10/5): Great time at travelodge braehead - I had a lovely time in the travelodge at braehead. Tina was very welcoming and very informative. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for friendly and professional service while staying in the travelodge.
- ianhS6211HW (10/5): Tina was amazing needs a pay rise. - We Checked in on the 9th staff were great. Recommend a place Sunday Dinner that was bad ( you know who you were lol ) dont take your firestick it wont work. Location is fantastic everything on your doorstep. On the 13th the assistant manager returned from holiday Tina she was amazing then unfortunately we left on the 14th. Will return at some point wont take fire stick. Would definitely recommend.
- sandragB5862EL (10/5): Fabulous - Had a wonderful stay at the hotel, room good size bed very comfortable, sat at the bar and spoke with Christina who was very helpful and kind not just to me but with everyone with whom she spoke with. Would recommend this hotel Christina is an asset to Travel Lodge.
- Navigate30282461271 (10/5): Brilliant - Stayed at this hotel with work, service by Tina was great, thank you!
Budweiser on draft was a nice touch, room was comfortable for a short stay due to work requirements
- Vacation21445374115 (10/5): Trip to Glasgow - Recently Stayed at the Travelodge at Breahead while in Scotland. The hotel is situated perfectly for easy access to Breahead shopping center as well as a quick Drive or bus journey to City Center.
As exspected the room was clean and staff were very Friendly and always said hello in passing. Breakfast in the hotel was nice and food was hot and did not have a long wait
- H625LAjohns (10/5): Great hotel with lovely staff! - Visited this travelodge to visit family near braehead. Was welcomed with a warm smile upon entering the hotel by Tina and checked in quickly with no worries. Every member of staff I seen greeted me with a smile and made me feel very welcome. Would 100% stay again
- 59Berliner (10/5): Braehead - Spotlessly clean hotel, comfortable, easy parking, friendly helpful staff and great unlimited breakfast.
- R9848BPvictoriap (10/5): Tina and Claire are so welcoming and friendly - I came to this hotel on Monday 15th September for a few days for work purposes
And I've really enjoyed my stay at this travelodge
Tina and Claire took the time to make sure I was looked after and asked everyday how work was, and recommended some lovely food choices đ
These ladies are the centre of great customer service
Travelodge you should be proud đ
- simaamiri (6/5): No spaces to store luggage - They didn't have a space to store luggages and couldn't offer I check out for my specific room. The rooms were clean offered free parking especially was good but not having the luggages storage made us sit in the lobby for hours instead of going out and see the Glasgow
- alex_l_wright (10/5): Great service rather more important than the room - The rating would have been higher but the bath was high sided and difficult to stand in with it's curved base. The worktop in the room needs replacing. (Room 2)
- ldavidson071010 (4/5): Wasn't great - Wouldn't rush to book again disappointed with state of the bathroom mouldy and musty with a broken toilet seat and a rusty bath from a dent in it, room 106
- A8825RMgrantm (8/5): Chilled and no problems - Great staff always willing to help.
Thank you to Jaye, Claire for looking after me and having a good laugh definitely with being away from home for a good few weeks and Rocky on my last night đ.
- Tour630468 (10/5): Always a great stay at this hotel. - Well worth the price. Clean spacious rooms friendly staff very convenient for Braehead shopping and visiting family. Always spotless.
- addisonw469 (10/5): Fantastic, see you all again next year - I stay here every year when I come home from abroad to visit family. A stones throw away from Braehead Shopping Centre and entertainment centre Xsite.
Fantastic hotel, everything I needed, room was clean and spacious, every member of staff I spoke to was friendly and helpful, Elaine was a great help when I accidentally got my bath plug stuck, she was more than happy to fix it for me. Breakfast was lovey and great value for money.
The two ladies who checked me in Kirsty and Jaye were really lovely and helpful. See you all again next year.
- invisiblemist (6/5): Ok - Hotel was ok but wasnât massively thrilled with the set up and the room itself was mediocre, considering the cost of the hotel over others youâd expect better quality
- caitlincB8228KJ (10/5): Fantastic hotel and staff - Great stay at braehead travelodge
The staff were really friendly and accommodating
The cafe area is nice and relaxing after a long day travelling evening meal was lovely. Our server Stuart was great
Reception staff were very chatty and made us feel comfortable from the minute we arrive
Overall great hotel great experience and will definitely be back
- 546martyng (8/5): - Checkin good, hotel and room clean.
I would recommend a room that doesnât overlook the outdoor reception. People stand outside and chat until late. Not good if youâre tired.
The bed was awful. I mentioned it to the receptionist about 1:40am just ignored me, but there was an ambulance present.
Great location though. I would possible use this hotel again but look for a bed guarantee.
I will look at reviews next time.
- Jdavis23 (10/5): - Everything was very clean and the front desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating! We were there over a very busy weekend and they handled everything very well. The location is perfect for the Braehead arena, lots of shopping, and entertainment within walking distance.
- abilityu2024 (10/5): Great staff - Excellent Service at Travelodge Braehead
My visit to Travelodge was unexpected, but it turned out to be a truly pleasant surprise. I received excellent service, especially from a staff member named Blessing. She was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and professional, which made my stay even more enjoyable.
Thanks to her outstanding hospitality, I will gladly recommend Travelodge, especially the Braehead location to friends and family. Keep up the great work.
- Tina2go (8/5): Handy for the airport in Glasgow. - Good stay again to reach the airport in the early morning. Nice ground floor room with bath and good area to dry hair etc. If reasonably priced a good option for a night. Nothing fancy but does the job and shops nearby with food options. Free car parking without the hassle of registering your car anywhere.
- Torrinskye (4/5): Not a good experiencd - Not a good experience, staff were not overly friendly or helpful,no information on eating options, wish we hadn't bothered as the food was not good, chips not cooked, chicken dry and coleslaw inedible, there seemed to be a very young person producing the food, who brought out one dish which my husband had finished before mine arrived! He did apologise, not a good experience.
No soap in dispenser, and nothing to drink water out of, have stayed at other budget hotels with better thought out rooms and facilities. Would not stay at a travel lodge again.
- golfwhisky17 (8/5): T rave lodge - Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Stay only spoiled by young guests who were attending a rave nearby. They were very noisy, running about and banging doors until 2.30 in the morning.
- lperwaze (2/5): Never going with Travelodge again. - When we arrived we found out our room got double booked. Not only that but that we had to pay for for own travel to another travel lodge several hours later , by this point it was the early hours of the morning. And to be quite honest our trip was truly ruined.
Further more we had the room booked for close to 2 months . And when asked why our room was given to the next person who walked into the establishment and when I asked does our booking not mean anything I was greeted with nothing but doubt and uncertainty, bare in mind this was after a long day at festival and all me and my friends wanted to do was relax and sleep. In the room we booked and played for prior to even entering the country
- tomguinan1997 (10/5): Splendid from start to finish - Tina was an amazing host who made us feel at home from start to finish thanks to Tina and the team TG
- dannymaclean61 (6/5): D Maclean - Given a double bed after reserving a king. According to staff there are no king beds in Braehead but they are still advertising king beds in their plus rooms. False advertising
- PamSwain (4/5): Not Very Plus! - The hotel is okay for what it is - a budget hotel. But,... we paid extra for "Plus" rooms, which we assumed would be comparable to Premier Inn Plus rooms. Not so!
The "Plus" rooms dont have a walk in shower, like Premier Plus - just a bath with an old fashioned fixed showerhead way above the bath, worked by the taps, so you have to get your hair wet if you have a shower. AND there are no handles to help you out of the bath.
The rooms have a barely double bed - and nothing else! No seating area (there is a lot of space, clearly meant to be a seating area but empty), no vanity area, no desk, no fridge with bottles of water - all of which are in Premier Plus rooms - not even sockets next to the bed, or a folding thingy to put your suitcase on. just a bed, lots of empty space, and a formica shelf which is filled by the hospitality tray.
(The local PI doesnt do Plus rooms - we stayed there last year, and it was quite frankly shocking... I have never been in a PI so shabby... but that is a different story!)
- 725harpreetn (10/5): Tina is amazing - Tina was wonderful and an asset to the company. She was so helpful and has vast amount of knowledge on local area. Lovely room and very spacious
- neilw51169 (10/5): Weekend visit - Was visiting Glasgow at short notice and needed accommodation. It was close to Braehead Shopping Centre and a short bus journey into the city centre. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms.
- rmW9849CG (10/5): Brilliant stay, definitely will be back - When I stayed here, the staff were friendly and really helpful, food was great, and its in a really good location. Its very close to the city centre so it makes it really easy to get around. I would definitely stay here again if i come back to the city
- catherinemN5694HT (10/5): Good clean & comfortable - I was impressed with the efficient check-in/out process at the hotel. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The rooms were impeccably clean & the location was actually perfect. I would highly reccomend this hotel & will come back here to stay.
- 618cathyp (10/5): Pleasant Stay - Room was very nice and Clean.I needed an extra pillow and got one with no problem.Breakfast was nice and Staff were very Helpful and didnât hesitate to answer our Questions.Had dinner on one of the nights and that was lovely too.Would definitely recommend this Travelodge.
- paul999931 (4/5): used to stay here and it was ok but not now deep clean and replenish breakfast - Smells awful breakfast poor used to stay here and it was ok but not now rooms and corridors stunk so bad needs good clean breakfast needs improvement
- lynziew2025 (10/5): Amazing stay! - Had a great stay at travel lodge, stayed for my partnerâs birthday, the area is amazing and breakfast was unreal, we found staff were super friendly and helpful and room was nice, comfortable and clean, will definitely be back! Thank you Travel Lodge!
- johnmichaelm782 (10/5): Wrote this so Tina doesnât chin us but was good - Great service from Tina Jay Adam and Claire and will be coming back soon. Two hundred characters for a review is outrageous donât know what else to say but was no problem sorting anything out and we had to extend our stay a couple of the days and was fine
- ihogg77460 (10/5): Lovely place - Lovely and clean, food was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful couldnât fault it in any way and would definitely stay again
- L5486FSdavel (6/5): Good sleep poor food - Good but aging hotel brilliant staff but let down by poor food and a poorly stocked bar, to many customers using disability bays that weren't disabled.
- GoPlaces55996787180 (10/5): I will definitely be coming back - Great hotel close to braehead shopping centre and xsite. Check in was quick and easy we were on the 3rd floor it was very quiet and overlooked the shopping centre. Only had breakfast as was out for dinner but was a great selection for the price. Staff are amazing would definitely be recommending to my family and friends to stay here
- ClaudiaFe (8/5): Excellent Hotel - We visit for one night and it was nice, cosy, the only negative it's the bathroom, it was dirty, needs a good clean and maintenance
- nealeconnor116 (10/5): Business trip - Great location. Nice and clean. Jaye was great at reception or behind the bar.
She makes everyone feel welcome.
Loads of shops and restaurants nearby.
Only downside is no WiFi unless you pay ÂŁ3 per night extra.
We ate in there once and it was ok but they do let you order in and eat in the bar
- rohitv691 (8/5): Great - I had a great stay at Travelodge! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and transport. Overall, a great value for the price â Iâd definitely stay here again
- E5314JFandrewh (10/5): Great room - Really nice clean hotel especially thanks to Elaine, will stay there again staff really helpful, looking forward to spending time there again very soon. If I could change anything it would be the sachets of coffee, not the best for a coffee addict.
- addisonc821 (10/5): Amazing! Definitely coming back!! - I am just back from a 4 night stay at the travelodge braehead, and i would like to say it didnât disappoint. The hotel was extremely clean and hygienic along with the super friendly staff, Jaye and Kirsty in particular, it was a very enjoyable stay. The bar and cafe area was spotless and had a lovely selection of food,
such as an unlimited breakfast and a steak and ale pie with mashed potatoâs for dinner, which me and my husband had for the majority of the nights stayed (highly recommended) and the kids also had a variety of delicious options to choose from. The room was big enough fot my family of four and wasnât crammed one bit. Highly recommend Travelodge Braehead, definitely coming back!!
- aberlz (8/5): Hyrox visit - Hotel was ideal for my visit which was for a hyrox event at the sec all weekend. Good location and decent fotel
- 472Diana (10/5): Comfortable relaxed hotel - Got a lovely welcome from Tina and Kirsty when we arrived. Our room was spotless and the hotel was quiet during the night. Breakfast was a feast and there was a huge selection for my dairy and wheat intolerances. Our dog was welcomed too. This hotel is handy for Braehead shopping and also Ross Hall Clinic
- andywF9976DP (10/5): Work trip with wife - Great stay at brahead we visit every year for the the Scottish quilt show in the secc this hotel is the only place we will stay while in Glasgow
Tina has been here the last few times we have stayed and she remebers us everytime
Makes us feel very welcome
Had breakfast made by adam it was lovely
Thank yous all so much see you again next year Tina
- John (6/5): - Basic hotel in terms of amenities, but our stay was short so overall fine. Very close to Braehead Clan ice hockey arena and large shopping mall. Very friendly and helpful staff. Disappointed that internet was not free beyond 30 minutes.
