Guest Reviews
- anthonydN4687FL (10/5): Perfect - Room was spotless, perfect for my stay, Lili & Cameron on the nights were helpful & professional and helped me with everything I needed.
- jennifercF6480QD (10/5): Worth the visit - Breakfast was fab and well worth the money. Rooms spacious and clean. Few small marks to the painting here and there but other than that great. 5 min walk from the seafront. Friendly staff. Only annoying this is you have to pay for parking. £24.20 for 4 days. Should be included in price already paid. Generally quiet area which is nice.
- harrymU7314VU (8/5): Good - Amazing budget hotel and it gets the job done. One complaint is that some USB ports do not work
- 109gordonr (10/5): Father and son Trip - Hi I stayed in this hotel in room 109 arriving on Friday 27th March with my son for 2 nights we were greeted on arrival and explained clearly the parking options and the Food times because we had arrived later at night
We had our food in the hotel at 9pm and my son who is 15 said that the burger he had was amazing so good that we ordered the same food the next night great value for a main meal and dessert for £14.99
I would also like to say a big thanks for returning a ring to my house that I had left at the hotel I am so grateful it meant a lot to me and it arrived safely
We will be back again and soon
I travel a lot for work and this is the best Travelodge that I have stayed in by a mile all due to the great staff working there nothing is any problem even asking for an iron at 7am (forgot to pack ours)
Again thanks for returning my ring
- annamaries234 (10/5): Very friendly staff - Very friendly staff and the food and drink delicious and very friendly people who stay there all walks of life we stay there all the time and if you have a problem with anything the staff will help you
- Vids-191919 (6/5): Average - The room was uncomfortably hot, which made it difficult to sleep. The children’s mattress was also quite uncomfortable. Additionally, there were no side rails on the children’s bed, and unfortunately, my son fell off the bed during the night.
Although blackout curtains were provided, they were too small and did not effectively block out the light, which affected our rest
- nicolesS9891JI (10/5): One night - Lovley clean hotel room very warm comfortable had everything we needed great stay again reception staff super friendly
- T1679HGstephenr (10/5): A warm welcome - On arrival we were met with a warm friendly welcome, we had Teddy our dog with us, he loved the fuss and attention he got.
Throughout the stay the staff were brilliant and caring, the room was ready for our early check in, it was clean and fresh.
Very little noise, inside and out.
Great location easy walk to the prom and activities.
- Y9191MXemmab (10/5): Brilliant family option! We've stayed here twice & will book again! - We stayed here so we could do a few attractions over a couple of days (zoo, madam tussauds etc). We are a family of 4, all neurodiverse so finding accommodation can be tricky but we find travelodges good value and as close to the same as we're gonna get!
Blackpool South Shore stands out for one main reason though and that is the staff! They are so friendly, helpful and understanding! Our room was lovely & clean (we used the room choice option to select a quiet room away from lift). The restaurant was good value family food, with a tapas option so we could all have a bit of everything! Breakfast is buffet style, very tasty and so much on offer - definitely a highlight for our boys! Particular shout out to Emily & Joe for making our stay so welcoming! From an exhausted SEN mam who'd walked miles at the zoo, it was very much appreciated!
- E6471FSrogerp (10/5): Great Stay with Amazing Staff - I wanted to visit Blackpool as I was at catering college here 40 years ago, and was undecided where to stay, I decide on this Traveldge.
Well, what can I say, it was a lovely 3 night stay, all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, in particular, Jacqueline, Hayley( sorry I know you spell it a different way) and Charlie.
The bedroom was very clean, warm and comfy.
Breakfast was good too, lots of choice and the main breakfast was plentiful, hot and replenished regularly.
I will be definitely staying again next time I am in the area.
Many Thanks again to all !!
- michaelsX3480DC (10/5): Super Staff - From checking in to leaving after three nights stay every single member of staff was excellent. Friendly, helpful and committed to good service. The staff really made the stay enjoyable
Spotless throughout- would recommend
- Pathfinder590160 (10/5): Birthday one nighter with friends. - Birthday celebrations in Blackpool. Mathew was absolutely lovely….we couldn’t get an early check in as the hotel was full. But he was really pleasant as was the other reception staff. All round very friendly staff. Room was spotless. Such great value.
- 1967sue (10/5): Great Staff and hotel - Brilliant hotel, only 20 mins walk to Blackpool tower. Staff are brilliant, Emily is very helpful asking if theres anything you need. Food is lovely lots of choice and meal deals . They also do happy hour 5/7. Breakfast is £10.45 per person all you can eat. Reception is open 24 hours. This is our 2nd time and we will definitely be back again. We'll done to all staff you are doing a great job😊
- P4989GNanneh (10/5): Blackpool Travel Lodge - An impromptu visit to this hotel, same day booking. Unbelievably good value, for a large clean room that would sleep 5 quite easily. The bedding and lovely ( white and fluffy ) towels were immaculate.
We would like to thank Matthew especially, who appeared to do every front of house job amazingly. Certainly a credit to the hotel. Brilliant member of staff.
We will choose this hotel again
Ps the BOGOF offer on drinks between 5 and 7 was very acceptable too
- mpsbuk (10/5): Seaside escape - We had a great three‑night stay at Blackpool South Shore with really friendly, helpful staff. We had a lovely meal in the bar café on the first evening and spent our days exploring Blackpool prom, the piers and also had a few trips on the tram too. A great break away.
- sumanm847 (10/5): Joe Sets the Gold Standard for Exceptional Customer Care - I would like to give the highest possible praise to Joe at Travelodge Blackpool South Shore for his truly impeccable customer service and absolute excellence in customer care. Every time I stay at the hotel, I receive the most wonderful, warm and genuine welcome from Joe. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel valued, comfortable and looked after from the moment they arrive. His professionalism, kindness and positive attitude make such a difference and genuinely enhance the whole experience. Outstanding service like this deserves to be recognised. Joe is a real credit to Travelodge and an asset to the team at Blackpool South Shore. Thank you, Joe — your commitment to excellence sets the standard for what exceptional customer service should look like.
- adamtS1797AQ (10/5): lovely staff ! - came in late on a tuesday night, tash on reception was patient with us and quickly sorted our rooms and then due to staff shortages and illness, she was also the only one on the bar and looked after us there too ! thanks for being a legend tash 😎
- joshuamc91 (10/5): Friendly staff and Gluten Free options - This was a great family stay from the moment we checked in the to the day we left the staff we great very friendly unfortunately I didn’t get most of the teams names apart from one at breakfast on the first morning who introduced I believe her name was Emma or Emily I am sorry I can’t remember exactly but she was friendly and helpful as partner is celiac she provided us with the allergy chart and helped us with what she could eat and was lovely to my young children she is a credit to your team thank and we will be staying again also for anyone asking they have a good selection of Gluten free options for breakfast and Dinner the one thing I would pick at we had a family room and the smallest tv from about 10 years ago when they opened high up on the wall with us all trying to watch of an evening that needs to be changed
- pendragon6 (8/5): Decent budget hotel but the bed was terrible! - Hotel and staff were fine, but the bed was very creaky every time that you moved. Definitely needs replacing (bed was not to the standard of the biggest competitor). Car Park is a bit grotty and it is a faff to pay on the App. Nice bar and good for a late night drink. Breakfast was excellent.
- Happy-campers123456 (10/5): Lovely Blackpool stay - On a late arrival the staff were exceptionally welcoming they helped us with our enquiries, a great value for money stay, with a lovely breakfast.
- linjohnson2026 (2/5): Disgusting - On arrival i was given a room with a nasty odour .in fairness to the staff the quickly changed my room however the bed needed changing this is when i saw the heavily soiled matress and duvet . I had to go and purchase my own duvet and i left the nexy day even though i booked for 2 nights
- mikenI61FK (10/5): Recommend great stay - Excellent stay. Food in restaurant great quality and good deals. Hotel room was spotless as usual.
Joe and Haliegh on reception .great guys couldn't do enough. A real credit to Travelodge.
- kevinmD5899VK (8/5): Great stay great staff - Lovely hotel with really clean with amazing staff especially Charlie who couldn't do enough to look after us and make sure everything is ok
- jameseF7454AW (10/5): Amazing value, service even better! - Stayed for one night with a group of friends. Check in was efficient, rooms spacious and clean. Bar service was particularly good. Served cheerfully and professionally by Emily and Charlie. Will definitely be staying again when next in Blackpool!
- sydneyf237 (10/5): Brilliant hotel - Brilliant stay fantastic hotel, staff was amazing Espically Liam and Emily. Would 100% recommend to anyone to stay here
Loved jt
- P6771JJcharlieh (6/5): Just not the best at all. - The family room we had was clean, tidy & fresh which is the main thing. How ever, I usually stay at premier inn but this time we thought we’d try travel lodge.. at premier inn we never had to pay for parking at our over night stay and here at south shore we had to pay £14 for over night parking. At premier inn it is free WiFi that never turns off until you leave, at travel lodge you had to pay for WiFi £3.50 for one device which turned off numerous times throughout the stay to the point we had to use our data because it wouldn’t stay on. When addressing this to the receptionist that the WiFi isn’t working she told me ‘after hearing it all day it eventually just goes over my head’ so that was helpful… we waited around for ages in the morning for a table for breakfast for half the buffet breakfast to be out of stock because their delivery hadn’t come. I just wouldn’t come back here with the children, it was too much messing around.
- 418alistairf (4/5): Very noisy !! - We have stayed here many times but we will NOT be back. Very noisy during the night due street traffic due to the window not sealing properly, doors banging throughout the night and a yapping dog in a nearby room. Complained to the Assist. Manager about the dog only to be told the hotel was "pet friendly". Pity the hotel ISN'T guest friendly.
- MarkG4766 (10/5): Make sure you check the hotel names, they're very similar! - This was a very cheap hotel for Blackpool, the location isn't very far from the beach, probably 10 minutes walk.
The hotel atmosphere was good, very helpful staff who are used to people going to the other Travelodge in Blackpool as they have similar names, as I found out.
The room was a really good size, there's some noise outside as it's by a busy road and could be noisy when the attractions re open.
Definitely good value for the money and the views aren't bad. I'd stay here again in the future.
- V2373AFemmaa (2/5): Got very little sleep - There were groups of children staying in the hotel for a dance competition, we were unfortunately in a room next to some of them. At 10.30 pm they were running feral cherry knocking, screaming and shouting while we were trying to get to sleep. We couldn’t find a phone number to complain to reception and I didn’t fancy walking past the little brats to get to reception to report it. I did however tell them if they continued to knock on our door that I’d happily go and report them to staff. This stopped them from knocking on the door but not from running around loudly talking and slamming doors. Maybe not entirely the hotel’s fault but if there was a phone in the room or at least a number to call while on site I could have got a member of staff to have a word with them! I mentioned it to a member of staff at breakfast and he just said that it’s the same every year when they stay hopefully they can let the responsible adults know what their lovely kids were upto whilst they were drinking in the bar!!! Will definitely not be staying again unless I know for sure there are no feral children there too!!!
- antony_10 (10/5): Solo - Thank you for a lovely night nice to chill out for one nigh room potless staff was brillant a breakfast was all so nice to and to relax before going on next hotel cheers antony
- BigGUnit151016 (6/5): Blackpool South Shore Travelodge - I have visited this Travelodge on several occasion and this started off quite negative due to the rude nature of the Assistant manager. All started fine as we started checking in until she said we didn’t have breakfast booked. I explained that we had booked this when we made the booking and that’s when the rudeness started stating that nothing was showing on her screen even turning the screen to us to justify her rudeness her attitude soon changed when I produced the email confirmation showing that we had booked breakfast for the 2 days. She was also rude to my mum when it came to registering our car so we didn’t have to pay for parking due to having my disabled brother with us. We have never had to register the car before on our other visits and her attitude was well I’ve been here for 3 years and people have always had to do it she wouldn’t accept the fact that we have never had to do it before. After this our stay was fine apart from having to check out early on the Thursday evening due to having to race home due to a family emergency at home which meant we missed out on out breakfast on the Friday morning. So that is why I have scored this as a 3 star on this occasion.
- laxmisettik (10/5): Sean - Sean deserves special appreciation for his kindness, helpful attitude, and warm hospitality.
The service was prompt and attentive, making the experience very comfortable.
Staff always greeted us with a smile and were happy to help with any request.
- charlcom (10/5): Lovely place - Special shout out to Anthony on the bar what a great person he is.. made our stay.. fab rooms fab location breakfast was amazing something for everyone
- R591YHellies (10/5): Love time - Absolutely amazing for the price I’d definitely recommend staying here again it’s in the heart of everything to do in Blackpool it’s not to far from town so for the ones who like to drink but also know when it’s time to come back an relax this is the best place
- chriswraw (10/5): Friendly staff - Joe was our server and he looked after us brilliantly. Was polite, helpful and very attentive. Assisted us with parking charge and made us feel more welcome
- 519lynnc (8/5): Hit and miss - First night we didn’t sleep very well because someone was banging around and then a child was screaming until 1am. Not the hotels fault but annoying!! The staff were mainly happy but a couple were right damn miserable. Good location at the week but definitely not a great place for the weekend as it’s right next to the football stadium!!
- karensW6978GK (10/5): Joe at Travelodge Blackpool South Shore - Brilliant staff all round especially Joe and Olivia. Joe was so friendly and helpful and made our night today. It was great to be attended to so warmly
- Josh1234510 (10/5): Fabulous hotel disabled friendly - Great hotel in Blackpool only 5 minutes drive to the tower hotel reception friendly and polite staff with vending machine and seating bar come restaurant serving quality food and drink at good prices in a vibrant atmosphere my room was 2nd floor via lift as can't do steps due to disability small family room double and single bed very comfy and clean tv tea coffee facilities desk and chairs extra pillows clothing rail clean white towels bath loo and sink in bathroom perfect for a soak after a busy day exploring Blackpool free disabled parking which is a bonus and it's a nice peaceful hotel so I will be back.
- paulaTL2025 (10/5): EXCELLENT STAY! - There was a group of 12 of us there this weekend and not one of us could fault anything about this hotel! the staff were some of the best staff I have ever come across and being staff I stay in a few Travelodge's throughout the year. The hotel is clean, smelt fresh and felt fresh!! food at the bar café from breakfast to lunch to deserts was all amazing quality and you can tell was plated with care!
We will defiantly be returning!!!
- J5374PXroy (10/5): Delightfully Surprised! 10/10 - Great hotel, was a little bit sceptical when we booked a Travel lodge. However, the hotel was fantastic, the room was spotless and spacious for two adults and two children, breakfast was 10/10 and the location was great. Team were all friendly and helpful too!
Thank you for a great stay!
- 214michaelan (2/5): Very poor - Booked my son, daughter in law and grandaughter into this hotel for them to find on top of the expence of paying for the room they then had to pay £13.50 per day to park on the car park connected to the hotel they are staying at!!! Absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay to park on the premises your booked into will not be using this again
- roycew283 (10/5): Repeated return - Here for the seventh time. Even with some staff movement (and some fixtures!) th standard never falls. A warm welcome, and help with an old man and an 'historic' mobile, to book the car park, comfortable room and a breakfast to look forward to. If not too old we'll look forward to returning next year. Thank you: Charlie, Ruby, Dave, Glenda and Inga
- A1701GHrosea (10/5): Joee xx - We love him he was so friendly after we had a terrible journey very friendly to us made us welcome help ful we want to take him home best one we met at Travelodge Joe xx
- Nicolaplumplum (2/5): Homeless hostel. - Stayed here 2 nights. Was like staying in a homeless hostel. Smoking drugs outside Full of homeless people smoking outside in pyjamas. Absolute hell hole. They don’t tell you they use for emergency accommodation for homeless people. Avoid
- Eaton05 (10/5): Excellent stay - I have visited this hotel many times and have always been extremely happy. The team are always very happy, engaging and helpful and are an asset to the hotel.
Valentina checked us in and was friendly and very accommodating.
Room was beautifully clean and had everything we needed.
I will be returning before too long!
- bowers1988 (4/5): Poor. - Stayed in July for the night with 2 adults 2 kids in a family room. There was a strong smell of damp/sweat when we were in room. Zero air-conditioning unfortunately and it was red hot. Asked for another desk fan but wasn't any. Poor visit. Never again.
- 715kj (10/5): Nothing too much trouble - A great hotel for Blackpool attractions, I have review it before some time ago but it is just as good as it was then, clean rooms, nice friendly bar a really helpful staff, nothing too much trouble, Valentina in particular - who changed our room without question when we were unhappy with the location
- camillapA9608CH (10/5): Very friendly helpful staff and great location. - I booked to stay here with my Grandma and two young children over half term.
The hotel team were very friendly and helpful, especially Tash who went above and beyond to make my stay less stressful thank you.
Great location and nice and clean.
Will definitely stay again.
- Hovis1971 (10/5): Spacious clean rooms. Excellent Staff. Great location - A HUGE Thankyou for a fantastic stay! We were a large family group staying for 2 nights to visit the Pleaseure Beach for my daughter 18th. From checking in to checking out the Manageress and her team were fantastic. Special mention must go to the male member of staff working the restaurant are on the 31st October he really went over and above to a great experience. (soory didn't get his name).
Rooms spacious and clean. Good choice for breakfast and a really great team of staff! Deffo recommend this and will return next year! Thankyou!!
- mattheww681 (10/5): Great overnight stay - Valentina was so helpful! What a great start to a short trip with friends. Lovely stay! Rooms were clean and fresh and easily accessible!
- janetgK6694QB (10/5): Great Travelodge - This is a great Travelodge, good restaurant and bar area, lots of parking (chargeable) and a short walk to Blackpool town centre. The rooms are spacious with top up tea/coffee etc available from reception.
The employees go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay, I would especially like to mention Joe as being a shining star on reception.
- Cosmopolitan331181 (10/5): Home from home - We have just come home from a 2 night stay. Our 4th stay here. The staff are all lovely and really looked after us. Ken is in a chair most of the time and they couldn’t do enough for us. Helping with doors, and making sure we had a table near the buffet to make it easier for me.
Room was very clean, nice shower with a seat which is a great help to us.
The people in the room above were noisy but once Ken told reception they sorted for us.
Extra pillows were delivered with a smile thank you.
The buffet staff were very helpful too, asking if we were ok and if we needed anything else, lovely and caring.
We will be returning again and will recommend people to stay here.
Well done everyone xx
- Getaway42441842058 (10/5): Granddaughters 18 th birthday Blackpool brezk - Spent two nights here, oct 29 and oct 30 on a celebration of a granddaughters 18th birthday, rooms were spacious very clean and quiet at night aswell. Breakfasts were excellent plenty of choice and were topped up as soon as they were getting low, special thanks must go to the staff on duty these two nights, sorry can't recall their names but they went above and beyond their duties to make our time most enjoyable thanks to all of you and would recommend this travel lodge highly, Mick and Cath
- BeckyC574 (10/5): Fantastic customer service - What a wonderful greeting on arrival and the staff can’t do enough for you. Valentina Hayleigh were fantastic looking after us all. Great location for our trip. Highly recommend Travelodge Blackpool South Shore
- SaraT1533 (10/5): Came to see illumination - Served by valentina was made to feel very welcome. Came as a family to see the illumination. All staff very professional and welcoming
- kimw484 (10/5): Staff made it special - This was a lovely hotel. Pleasantly surprised by the room which was spacious and comfy. Food was good except the wait for breakfast due to a busy hotel and lack of tables. The best thing was the staff who we're all lovely and very hard working. They really went our of their way to make our stay special. They all deserve pay rises. Thank you!
- georgetac444 (10/5): Very friendly team member Sean - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Wonderful stay!
We had a fantastic time at Travelodge Blackpool. The room was spotless and really comfortable, and Sean on reception was an absolute joy — so friendly and chose us a lovely room. We also met Emily, the manager, who was so warm and welcoming and clearly cares about her customers!
Breakfast was delicious, with food always freshly restocked, and the evening drinks were a great way to unwind. The car park being right at the hotel was super convenient, and the location was easy to find. It was also surprisingly quiet at night, which made for a perfect night’s sleep.
Huge thanks to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable — we’ll definitely be back!
- X4905FVdarrenc (10/5): Stay - Great experience with lovely staff and valentine helped with everything needed when extended stay was needed due to new plans
- matthewhN8084MB (10/5): Very helpful - Valentine on reception was amazing. Really friendly and very helpful.
Hotel was nice and clean, very warm (trip was in October).
- BarbaraRosie (10/5): Pleasant Stay - Great couple of days staying here to see the Blackpool lights. As a 73 year old woman on my own with a small dog who is nervous. Every one was very pleasant and helpful and made my stay easy. Staff were always willing to help and give local info. Room was also very clean.
- LloydB619 (6/5): Ok location, poor staffing. - Had a fire alarm go of whilst staying and god forbid there ever is afire as the staff seemed totally inept.
Food ok, room facilities ok except when asking for a pillow (something a hotel should have enough of) was told none left. Power in room wasn’t fully working (usb ports) due to a waterleak and staff openly criticising other staff.
However, location is ok and price is ok.
- jonathanrT3899RX (10/5): Absolutely amazing - Fantastic stay with family and friends, the place was clean and welcoming.
Joe and valentina in particular were amazing and attentive in the bar and reception.
The service was more 5 star than travel lodge.
Will definitely be back.
- Curious251147 (10/5): Joe and Valentina was welcoming and helpful. All the staff were amazing. Cook was awesome - Valentina & Joe were absolutely 💯 fantastic and welcoming. Clean hotel. The food was great 👍 parking great location.
- stuartl389 (10/5): Great Staff - We were checked in by the assistant manager who was chatty, smiling and she gave us great information on the bar / restaurant offers and availability. We were not going to eat or drink in the hotel bar however, the atmosphere and overall vibe changed our mind. We were served by a gentleman that i am sure was called Anthony. He was amazing with the whole family, he ensured the kids were kept happy and entertained whilst delivering great service. Never had such a good experience at a travel lodge before. We will definitely be back.
- ronast2025 (10/5): Chilled break - Staff very pleasant and rooms were clean. Overall I would book again . Also it's good to know it's pet friendly too.
- 2382karl (2/5): Terrible night sleep - The hotel in general is dirty and not maintained, our bedroom was dirty and had a funky smell. The pop up bed was like a prison bed, stains on the carpet, window couldn’t lock, hairs in the bath etc etc
- Rodimus1969 (8/5): great hotel - Great hotel friendly staff even though recently refurbished it would still benefit from triple glazing to lessen the noise from traffic and people walking past
- EleW003 (6/5): Rooms - If you have an infirmity and are unable to book an accessible room please be aware that there are no rooms at Blackpool South Shore with a shower only. Showers are over the bath. Toilets are very low making it difficult for someone with knee and back problems to use.
- 146gemh (8/5): Good...parking poor - Room clean parking a nitemare with RinGo app...Valentino on reception was lovely an helped me with app....only down side with room no plug next to bed to plug fan in..only usb ports
- neilsctt9 (6/5): Was ok - Disappointed with breakfast took too long to restock food, reception staff was nevee there, but room was clean and warm.
- K4487EJmarkb (10/5): Fantastic Stay and help staff - Amazing place very clean and tidy. Valentino was was wonderful and helpful she went above and beyond for us. Thank you!!
- natashaP4777YO (10/5): Perfect location to blackpool - Good location if your visiting blackpool short walk to tge tram to town centre, staff were very helpful, small charge for parking at the hotel.
- simonhill345 (10/5): On business - Valentina on reception is very welcoming and friendly explaining everything you need to know about the hotel and service, nothing is too much for her ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
- ss1815 (4/5): Don’t bother staying here - Stayed here with the family to visit the illuminations. Staff welcoming, however had to request a travel cot many times because actually getting one. Room was basic, some odd stains on floor. Beds and bedding uncomfortable, I guess you get what you pay for. The night was bad, windows didn’t close and lots of noise from other people staying. Didn’t bother with the shower as looked awful. We added the morning breakfast on. Turned up at 8am, absolutely rammed. They’d run out of all the cooked foods so wasn’t much to get, tables weren’t being turned round quick enough so sat on a somewhat clean table with no cutlery. Disappointed with the whole experience. General appearance of the place is grim, needs a good clean and some money spending on it. Wont be staying in Blackpool again.
- queensclose (8/5): Nice place to stay. - Good clean room. Close to promenade which is about an 8 minute walk.
Had an accessible room. As a wheelchair user was ideal and had a wet room. However avoid room 12 as the walk in fridge and freezer are outside the window and staff are banging about all day.
Staff are very professional and do go out there way to help you. Charlie is a credit to Travelodge.
You have to pay for parking. But blue badge holders is free by registering at reception.
Unlimited breakfast was good value but you need to time it right and can be busy trying to get a table
- L543RLhenryw (10/5): Great hotel with overpriced bar 😡 - Very friendly, conveniently located hotel. Valentine was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Only bugbear was the expensive bar £3.45 is a bit over the top for a can of Pepsi (45p in home bargains).
- TRACEYBICK1964 (10/5): Easy check in - Just checked in, very quick. Valentine on reception was very helpful. Room looks very nice. Brilliant location. AA***
- whitf0rdc (10/5): A credit to the brand - This hotel is in a great location, the staff are really helpful and friendly every time we stop here.
Valentina is particularly helpful, always doing her up most to do what you ask, though all the team here are a credit to the brand.
- charlenelW1907QY (10/5): Great Hotel - Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff… especially Valentina goes out of her way to help! Would definitely return, thanks.
- MaisieMooD (8/5): Good hotel - I booked a 2 night stay here, with breakfast. Parking isn’t included but it was only £15 for the weekend.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. It’s £7-£8 into town by taxi, bus stop is only a few minutes walk away. Temperature in the room was good, shower ok but not very powerful.
I’d stay here again.
- hestiadock (10/5): A peace of mind - Cleanliness, Comfy bed with warm deco minimalist, friendly staffs, Pleasant environment. Breakfast very good, easy menu other options.
Parking is safe but not free , you need to download the App if you’re staying in the hotel to get discounted depending on your stay . Value for money . Will stay again in any locations where I can find Travelodge ..it’s a great 👍 such a pleasant experience.
- nicolesS9891JI (10/5): 3 night stay - We Travelled down from Glasgow on that day and it was a very good drive. Managed to find the hotel easily which is right across from the Blackpool FC Stadium ⚽ and 🏨
We arrived at the hotel and got our luggage out the car and went into reception to be greeted by nice reception staff who explained procedures and how the stay works. We paid the £3.50 extra choose your room and I'm so glad we did
We have room 404 and omg what a good view. It faces onto the stadium and you can even just see the top of the tower which was light up so fancy at night. We had one big double bed and one small bed but we only used the double. The bed was super comfortable clean and the room had everything we needed. We had tea and coffee making facilities, two extra pillows. A fan. Heater and towels provided! We didn't have breakfast in the hotel due to both me and my partner like having long lies!
We asked for an iron board and iron for our room and the hotel didn't hesitate and got that done quickly which was good. The hotel could do with cleaning there irons tho or providing or getting new ones as it did have black marks on the steel bit of the iron.
You can ask for more tea and coffee also and the hotel will give you as much as you need
Overall we had a lovely stay would definitely recommend getting room 404 for a view. Thanks to all the staff cleaners ect. See you next time!!
- k20mtw (2/5): Avoid room 116 - Room 116 is the worst room for sleep; cars going past hit grids in the road, banging. Go Faster cars going up and down all night like they have only just gotten their license. I had one mug in my room for a family of three. Outside the front is like smokers' paradise, with people smoking in a non-smoking area, with cigarettes all over the floor. And to top it off your car will probably get damaged i have 3 dents in my doors from people parking the side of me so if you need a car parking spot please take more than 1
- alanpH7356SP (10/5): Great stsff - Dave and Dillon on reception and the bar were really helpful, polite and courteous. They are every time we visit.
They handle issues with great professionalism.
Please Travelodge can you support your team with additional resources.
Apologies to team members not mentioned this time.
- clare1waddington (10/5): Very good value - Clean rooms. Helpful and efficient staff. Food good and value for money. Plenty of parking. Easy to find and good location.
- atticallpat (10/5): Helpful and courteous and welcoming - what more can I say helpful, considerate, courteous, good value for your money good access lifts, good secure parking, friendly atmosphere.
- andrewhP8823WC (10/5): Excellent - Excellent service particularly from Valentina who met us at receptions on our arrival. Extremely friendly and helpful. An excellent start to our stay at the Travelodge.
She deserves a promotion x
- Lee0410 (10/5): Lovely hotel and staff - Me and my family had a lovely time at this hotel, staff were very warm and welcoming this is what makes the difference. The breakfast was also ok, there was even something for my daughter who is a very fussy eater. The rooms were tidy and clean and the area is lovely and quiet due to the hotel not being situated along the beach front. I will definitely keep this hotel in mind for future bookings. Thank you. Great job
- Y449ZStonyr (10/5): Efficient - Efficient and polite, great service! The room was clean and tidy. Jackie provides a professional service, I would definitely recommend.
- crazyscot55 (2/5): Not accommodating or ASN friendly - Pre-booked room given away to someone else before we checked in. 1.5-2hr wait on food for dinner. 20mins wait to be seated for breakfast. Can't pre-book times for restaurant which in my opinion would stop customers having to que and wait in excess of 20-30mins. The same for dinner, pre-boon then there isn't a 1hr wait on food when you have 3 children! Place was clean and staff tried their best but you can only play with the fiddle your given and unfortunately the staff had a broken fiddle! Said the room error was booking system muck up. Said the kitchen wasn't equipped to cook a fried egg or small omelette! Broken charging points in the rooms and no storage space for a family of 5! Told one could it was upto and hour for service, they left then immediately behind them came a lovely disabled couple and they were told 2hrs. I felt they just didn't like accommodating people with disabilities tbh! I did challenge them on why the longer wait for the 2nd couple and they said the cook tells them the times however they didn't go and check with the chef beforehand! I definitely won't be a returning customer. Everyone should be treated equally and fairly.
- margaretmcn22 (10/5): Lovely hotel - Enjoyed my trip to travellodge hotel Blackpool room was excellent very clean and well kept
Staff very friendly
- theastburys88 (2/5): Mouldy food in breakfast buffet - The breakfast buffet looked fine, but we soon realised some of the bread and pastries had clearly been there a long time. Some were even mouldy.
Everything was up-charged once we were there, paid parking, no WiFi, breakfast was terrible value for money considering most of it was inedible.
I would suggest going for a Premier Inn instead.
- missvintagebelle (4/5): Stay elsewhere. - I’ve only ever stayed in a Travelodge once before which was years ago. I usually stay in Premier Inn but thought I’d give this place a go.
Firstly, do NOT use maps on your phone to find it if you are on foot from Blackpool North. Just walk south until you get to Lyndene Hotel, the blue place which you can’t miss. Walk down Woodfield Road and it’s straight ahead, opposite the football ground. Literally 5 mins from the sea.
Check in was a lengthy process, just one staff member who was quite new but she was pleasant.
Couple in front of me had paid for early check in (£15) and had paid for pick your own room (£3.50) … their room had a guest who’d paid for late check out! But their £15 was refunded.
Was told mine wasn’t ready either (paid the same) but upon checking again, it was.
Got to my room, massive. Great! Then I looked round.
Small TV. Stingy amount of tea/coffee. No drawers whatsoever. None. Only a few coat hangers.
No bedside cabinets!! Had to pull a chair over! Plug points all opposite side of the room, really unhelpful.
The bathroom. Paintwork chipped off the door. Other people’s long black hairs in the bath and on the walls. The tiles were in dire need of a polish, very soap scummy. Plenty of towels though.
So, I would not stay here again. I’ll pay more for my usual Premier Inn.
Also, I’m an animal lover, I love dogs but to have snapping and barking dogs all over reception is chaotic and unprofessional. I get it’s dog friendly, but not everyone likes them.
- moyni123 (10/5): blackpool travelodge - rooms are very clean and large bed comfortable the staff are friendly and helpful.
breakfast great value and plenty of it glenda was very helpful and couldn't do enough
would recommend this
- nikkigibs0n (10/5): Great hotel, excellent staff - Comfortable hotel, ideal location for both the sea front and the town, quiet area, excellent nights sleep
- gordonchapman22 (8/5): 4 nights stay - My stay was pretty good a little noisy from some rooms and a slight smell of dog in corridors as there were a lot of pets but overall good
- nickydonnelly1972 (6/5): Shirt stay - Room had an unpleasant odor and not been cleaned properly.
Paying for parking when your a paying guest if the hotel isn't good.
Also only having 30mins of free WiFi isn't good either.
Draft beer was disgusting
- colincakes (4/5): Disappointed stay - I'm not sure I would stay again at this hotel. Disappointed, breakfast not hot, ongoing issues with bedroom key card not working and uncomfortable nights sleep
- Beenonatrip (10/5): Recommend for good value - Friendly, quick check in, room was the standard Travelodge set up, it was basic but functional. My room overlooked the stadium, fronting the road, this meant there was some traffic noise during peak times, with no air conditioning the window had to be open during the hot weather. While the room was clean, there was some staining on the wall and the shower pressure wasn’t that good, but otherwise no complaint.
There is a small bar/restaurant area, but I used the local Mc Donald's which was a few minutes walk away for breakfast and walked into town for dinner which took about 10 minutes to reach the Tower, although some may prefer not to have to walk through Blackpool’s residential areas and the lingering smell of dubious smoking that seems to haunt this area.
With plenty of parking, overall I found the hotel to offer very good value for money and would recommend as long as you don’t mind being a bit further out of the central bit of town.
- paigebJ6417LL (4/5): Budget - Hotel was very budget which is absolutely fine, but I do think a level of cleanliness should be upheld. The windows inside and out are very off putting when you arrive into the room. Very stuffy and hot, we had children with us who really struggled with this.
