• Karin (10/5): Wie im Märchen aus alter Zeit - Eine richtige alte Burg mit großen Holztüren, knarrenden Dielen und hohen Zimmern! Es war wunderbar ruhig und trotzdem wir völlig allein in der Burg wohnten, wurde uns ein leckeres und vielseitiges Frühstück bereitet. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne und erholsame Auszeit in der Nähe von Magdeburg.

• Ulrich (5/5): - besonderes, historisches Hotel die größeren Zimmer/Suiten sind sehr ansprechend ausgestattet. Das Zimmer ("Burgwächter") war nicht sauber. Bei Dunkelheit war es schwer, den Schlüsselkasten zu finden.
• Moniek (10/5): Geweldig! - Geweldig authentiek “kasteel”. Echt een prachtig gebouw, mooie houten vloeren en toch van alle gemakken voorzien. Lekkere bedden en echt een prima appartement. In het park was een kleine speeltuin voor de kinderen. ‘s ochtends was er een prima ontbijt (voor 15 euro). Echt een ervaring om hier te overnachten. Aanrader! -

• Jozefundina (8/5): Ein Burg-Abenteuer - Wer sich wirklich als Burgfräulein oder Burgherr fühlen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Die Atmosphäre ist wie eine Zeitreise! Wir hatten die Schatzkammer, die nur über eine Stein-Wendeltreppe nach unten erreichbar ist. Das hat zwar Flair, aber mit Koffern nicht so einfach. Für uns war es okay, aber vielleicht sollte es in der Zimmerwahl besser ersichtlich sein.

Geweldig om door kasteel heen te lopen om alles te bewonderen daarna wijntje in de de tuin moet je wel voor 18:00u erzijn anders flesje uit de auto pakken:) En een heerlijk ontbijt om weer verder te reizen naar volgende locatie.

• CMW 123 (9/5): Erg bijzonder en leuk. - Het was een bijzondere ervaring om eens in een echt kasteel te slapen. Onze kamer was bijzonder ruim met apart zitgedeelte en douche en toilet. Vriendelijke gastvrouw. De locatie is erg rustig.

• Simon (7/5): Trotz gewissen Enttäuschungen dennoch ein gutes Erlebnis - Gut gefallen haben mir das besondere Gebäude, die wunderbare Stille der Anlage, der Blick ins Grüne, die Größe der Räume und die Freundlichkeit des Personals (Fr. Wiedenhöft, sehr angenehm). Das war schön. Die Temperatur der Räume war noch okay. Die Frühstücksqualität ist sehr schlecht, billige Zutaten, dem Preis nicht gerecht werdend, enttäuschend. Sowas würde ich zuhause nie essen. Hier wird am Kunden gespart. Die Badewanne ist nicht nutzbar, das ist nirgends vermerkt, obwohl das Bad in den Bildern des Zimmers vorkommt. Insgesamt deutlich zu hochpreisig relativ zum Gebotenen und zur Region.
• Geoffrey (9/5): Perfect place to stop over during a long road trip. - Perfect place to break a long road trip. It is just a few km from the autobahn, but it is in a very quiet, peaceful woodland setting with only birdsong to hear. The building is a quirky antique with a complex history, but it has been renovated to a high standard, so the rooms are comfortable and we slept well. Frau Gastgeberin is a charming lady who made us feel welcome and took pity on our tired and hungry state, providing an evening ‘breakfast’ to revive us. There is no evening meal available in the hotel and the nearest restaurant is around 10km away. But the breakfast is very good!

As it was off-season there was no restaurant open....actually I'm not sure if there is a restaurant but that's my fault for not checking when I booked.

• Adrien (8/5): Great location and wonderful authentic castle - Lovely castle in the German countryside. It's very authentic and beautiful definitely a dream property. It's quite cold (March) inside but the rooms are decently heated you'll sleep fine. The wifi is surprisingly good. A bit cold so I can't imagine in the dead of winter though it's true we prefer warmer climate so it might not bother everyone. Staff was nice but didn't speak English and check-in was a bit messy. Could use a kettle in the room and some tea bags.

• Danny (7/5): A good experience, but with some issues - The building is spectacular, retaining most of its original features. The rooms are large and very clean. The huge shower and toilet room was very modern 5* standard. The breakfast was excellent. There was a huge TV in the room, good bed, good heating and good parking. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The WiFi was useless, it would not accept the correct password. This lack of WiFi was a big problem for us. The only food and drink available in the villlage in the evening was about 1km away (schnitzel, sausages, soup). A lot of steep stairs to deal with.
• Skaistyte (10/5): Exceptional - It was touching the past and experiencing a life in a castle. Antique ambience and modern amenities mach there so nice! It would have been nice to find some historical information in English about the place.
• Stephanie (6/5): False advertising - Beautiful location, stunning castle and surrounding garden and grounds - very picturesque, quiet and secluded. * No English spoken by any staff, so it is falsely advertised that both German and English were spoken * no electric kettle in the room, important for us travelling with our baby so we didn't have access to hot water for my son's bottles and milk * no accessibility, I would not advise coming here if you have access needs or use a pram, we had to leave ours two floors down * the double room is not a double bed, its two single beds put on top of a double bed frame, so again not the same as advertised * false advertising in terms of a café or restaurant being open - there is nowhere to get dinner, or coffee etc, except for in the morning the paid breakfast. We had to drive to the nearest town/village for a very basic takeaway meal. *false advertising as there was no bar as me tioned in their booking.com profile
• Niels (8/5): great place to stay with lots of history - a great place to stay. lots of history around you. very peacefull. friendly staff and good for dogs - was not even charged for my dog. fine breakfast at a very fair price. this was my 2nd stay and will for sure come back. i missed a ghost in these old buildings :) - it is a good idea to eat dinne enroute to the castle as closest restaurant is about 10 km away.
