Guest Reviews
- Susan (2/5): - When we arrived at Blue Lake Lodge no one was there and the place was all locked up. Tried to phone the lodge but rang out to a full answering machine. So clearly something wrong with their booking system.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful hosts made our brief at the lodge stay even better.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the location. Very friendly owner. Great food and excellent clean accommodation
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Being a guest at the Blue Lake Lodge is a unique experience. The rooms beautifully decorated. The views incredible. Watching the wallabies fed at a bar (trough) was amazing. They just looked like a bunch of kids lining up for breakfast. Robert was an amazing host and the menu was varied and interesting. Would not have missed this for anything. Anne & Tony
- Michelle (10/5): - The Blue Lake Lodge is a perfect hidden gem right on the lake. Absolutely beautiful spot to relax and soak in the views. We had the place to ourselves as booked mid week and loved the living areas and deck and fishing by the river. Highly recommend.
- Linda (10/5): Top class stay - Luxurious appointments, beautiful lake views, top class meals. Great to see the wallabies eating right next to you. We had a great stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing location, wonderful service and fantastic food all in the middle of the Tasmanian wildernesses
- Sheryl (10/5): - Blue Lake Lodge is a spectacular place to spend a holiday. Quiet and cosy and set in a wonderful midland setting on the water front.
- Verified traveler (10/5): First Class on the lake - Great views, food and company: would be great for a weekend away from Hobart or Melbourne.
- Rob (10/5): - Exclusive, quiet location. Excellent dining and service. Very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Most beautiful views - Felt like a home away from home, had the warmest welcome. The views were amazing, our overall experience exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back :)
- CC (10/5): Relax and Enjoy Nature - What you see on the website is what you see and experience. We were welcomed and shown around as soon as we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and inviting. The view of Arthur’s Lake from our room was beautiful. Next time we stay here we will take beginners trout catching lessons.
The dinner was enjoyable and the company of the other guests was a joy and educational as they came from overseas.
At 8:30 am and 4:30 pm the wallabies come to the Wallby Bar for a feed.
- David (10/5): Luxury on the Lake - We were delighted to find this stunning lodge nestled in the natural bush surrounds on the edge of Arthur's Lake. The rooms are beautiful, with many luxurious touches that make such a difference to the traveler, and all look out over the lake. In fact, wherever you choose to be at the lodge, indoors in the lounge or dining area or outdoors on one of the decked areas, you have beautiful views of the bush, the lake and the wildlife. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and the meals were delicious. We would definitely stay again.
- Arty-Farty (8/5): Quiet and secluded - Friendly host,beautiful surroundings,isolated and peaceful.
- Richard R (10/5): Great birthday experience - Beautiful weather throughout our stay, very relaxing, convivial hosts.
We self catered on first night, as did another couple from Melbourne, without too much of a challenge in the huge shared kitchen!
Second day Rob recommended a bush walk to another part of the lake which gave us some good exercise. This day was also my birthday and we had booked dinner which was served on the deck in beautiful sunshine - marvellous food with special touches for my birthday that I had not expected, including an extra dessert or "birthday cake" (!) in the shape of a sticky date pudding with candle and sparkler! Made to feel very welcome and looked after.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - just the very best experience with surroundings full of wildlife and ambience
- Kurt (10/5): nice and quiet, close to lake - lovely place to stay, very very quiet. thanks to the friendly staff Robert and owner John. will go back in summer time again :)
