- CONSTANTINI (7/5): Beau séjour malgré une mauvaise coordination - Emplacement et établissement très beau La coordination compliquée entre la caisse du bar/restaurant trop de personnel mal formé, nous avions crédité notre carte avec une caution pour pouvoir mettre nos consommations etc sur notre chambre comme dans tous les hôtels et bien tous les jours on nous disait qu’il n’y avait pas de crédit et c’était toujours très compliqué. De plus la personne qui était à la caisse du bar/restaurant était toujours différente. Trop de chefs de sous chefs . Les serveurs quant à eux essayaient de faire le maximum mais tout les jours ce problème de prise en charge a fini par nous agacer fortement.

Notre chambre sentait la peinture mais on nous a directement surclassé dans une autre chambre au premier étage avec vue mer partielle depuis la terrasse. Petit déjeuner varié mais d'une qualité moyenne pour ce type d'établissement avec un supplément pour l'expresso...

- francescotton2022 (10/5): A piece of paradise - We stumbled across Las Palapas, Holbox, and wow what can we say….incredible. José, Mike, Wilberth, George and the team were outstanding. The hotel is one of the best we staying in across the world. The balance between luxury and boutique is a fine example. The food, drinks, service and facilities were amongst the finest. Fabulous area of the beach, completely unspoilt and 10 minutes away from the hub of energy that the main square offers. Food was outstanding. We really do have nothing negative to say - other than see you all again next year. Thank you

- 399pn (6/5): This would not be my first choice hotel on Isla HOLBOX - Hotel rooms were very noisy and had no views. Very antiquated way of checking in with having to wear an armband throughout our stay to prove we were guests. Any extras had to be paid on the spot rather than have an open credit card to pay at end of our stay. Front desk staff unhelpful and seemed unwilling even to try to solve problems. Restaurant staff very friendly and willing to go the extra mile.

Le personnel de l'hôtel nous a dit qu'il était désolé mais qu'il s'agissait de la dernière chambre disponible. Nous avons demandé un geste commercial (peu importe le geste) mais ils ont refusé. Nous étions 3 adultes, nous avons reçu que 2 serviettes de bain. Quand nous avons demandé une 3ème serviette à la réception, le personnel nous a répondu que ça n'était pas possible car le local "service" était fermé et il n'avait pas accès, il fallait attendre le lendemain. Aberrant pour un hôtel de ce standing et au prix de la nuit !!!!! j Nous avons reçu la 3ème serviette de bain, le lendemain de notre arrivée à 11h du matin :D la grosse blague !!!! J'ai logé dans de nombreux hôtels et hostels de toute catégorie dans de nombreux pays du le monde, je n'ai jamais connu un service aussi déplorable Aucun service client! money money money

- Swedentravels (10/5): Lovely stay, excellent location and friendly staff - We had a fantastic time at Villas Palapas del Mar. We stayed 6 nights, 2 adults + 2 kids. We had the ground level room with plunge pool. Great for the kids but probably wouldn’t have used it for only adults. Room was rather basic but clean with all the essentials. The hotel grounds are well kept and feels like a big garden. Plenty of beach chairs and bar service available on the beach. It was windy during our stay so quite a bit of seaweed but they raked it every day to keep it to parts of the beach. Besch chairs also on The grounds a bit away from the beach - great for windy days.Two pools, plenty of space. Great view from the upstairs pool. Both however with freezeing cold water maybe due to the unsually cold weather recently. Breakfast was good, other meals ok but we were happy we skipped the all-inclusive option. Walking 10-15 minutes into town and restaurants all along that walk. In general relaxed and peaceful vibe. Definitely not a party place. A couple of families with children but still not loud and noisy. Staff was very friendly and we got excellent help when we needed to see a doctor for a minor incident.

The hotel is situated on a beautiful stretch of beach—perfect for walking out to the sandbars and spotting flamingos. It’s also perfectly located: just far enough from downtown to be peaceful, but close enough to walk there easily. A huge shoutout to Mike, the Supervisor. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. His attention to detail and level of service really elevated our entire trip. Highly recommended!

You should improve quality of drinks BIG DISAPPOINMENT for me was that hotel ask extra charge if you order a cappucino for a breakfast. In this rate and hotrel category that is unacceptable.

Habían unos niños al lado y se escucha perfectamente las conversaciones y por la noche uno lloró y era como si nos llorara en el oído . Sin culpar al niño . Falta insonorizar habitaciones .

Puertas y ventanas que no cierran bien, distribución incomoda, y detalles feos, como que no se pueden pagar las consumiciones al final sino que hay que pagarlas cada vez o antes, lo que invita a no consumir en el hotel. Hay que pagar también fianza por las toallas. Llegamos 10 minutos antes de la hora del check in (12h) y nos hicieron esperar. Nos dieron una habitación de las últimas con vistas a un lugar con escombros y el hotel estaba casi vacío. Detalles.

- luca (1/5): 👉 Ich würde dieses Hotel in keinster Weise empfehlen – weder Essen, noch Komfort, noch Sicherheit, noch Preis-Leistung. - Die Abreise war der beste Moment! Wir hatten dieses Hotel für unsere Flitterwochen gebucht und ursprünglich 12 Nächte reserviert – nach nur 3 Nächten sind wir jedoch abgereist, weil wir überhaupt nicht zufrieden waren. Bereits im Vorfeld hatten wir das Hotel mehrmals kontaktiert und darum gebeten, dass bei der Ankunft eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit vorbereitet wird. Leider kam auf keine der Nachrichten eine Antwort, und wie erwartet war auch nichts vorbereitet. Das war sehr enttäuschend und zeigte deutlich, dass dem Hotel der Gast völlig egal ist. Schon bei der Ankunft war die Rezeption unfreundlich und wenig einladend. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten desinteressiert und steckten gefühlt alle unter einem Hut – keinerlei Herzlichkeit oder echtes Engagement. Auch die Sicherheit im Hotel ist fragwürdig: Unsere Dusche funktionierte nicht, woraufhin ein Techniker kam, um sie zu reparieren. Am selben Tag tauchte derselbe Handwerker erneut auf mit der Behauptung, er müsse nochmals etwas prüfen – obwohl die Reparatur längst erledigt war. Wir fühlten uns dadurch sehr unwohl. Von anderen Gästen hörten wir, dass ähnliche Situationen mehrfach vorkamen. Es drängt sich der Verdacht auf, dass dies eine Masche sein könnte, um Zugang zu den Zimmern zu erhalten. Das Essen war enttäuschend – kalt, lieblos und von minderer Qualität. Das Frühstück war eintönig, die Tische oft nicht gedeckt, das Buffet kaum vorbereitet. Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Fazit: Dieses Hotel ist weder für einen normalen Urlaub noch für Flitterwochen zu empfehlen. Fehlende Gastfreundschaft, mangelnde Sicherheit und ein desinteressiertes Personal machen den Aufenthalt zu einer großen Enttäuschung.

- Maria (4/5): Bra strand, bra läge, men inte så mycket mer än det - Precis vid stranden, ren och fin strand och solstolarna ingår. Nära till stan också. Väldigt smidigt om man ska bara gå upp och hämta något från boendet. Det hade behövts renoveras, speciellt badrummet. Väldigt lyhört. Vi fick rum precis vid restaurangen och hörde oväsen hela tiden. Det är så pass lyhört att man blir till och med väckt av fåglarna som skriker (alltså inte sjunger utan skriker) utanför. Första natten hade vi grannar där man kunde höra ALLT även om de viskade, helt otroligt. När vi klagade till hotellet så sa de att de checkar ut och att de ska försöka att inte ha någon där under vår vistelse. Vi hade klagomål om städningen och personalen skulle kolla på det, men det åtgärdades inte under vårt besök. Frukosten är ganska tråkig och det serveras i princip samma saker hela tiden. Hörde vissa som hade all inclusive att de var väldigt missnöjda. Man får inte det man betalar för. Hotellet har väldigt mycket potential, men måste förbättras.

Delicious fresh breakfast every morning, which was included in the price. Our particular room was located near the rooftop bar and could be loud at night. We did not have the all inclusive package but did order nachos for lunch one time, and they were the worst nachos I’ve ever had in my life. That being said, the dining areas were very pretty.

The beds were hard and the pillows VERY uncomfortable. The bathroom was ok but smelled poorly. The cleanliness overall in the room and hotel was just OK. You can hear EVERYTHING from neighboring rooms - bring ear plugs. Worst check-out experience - we asked to check-out 2 hours late and they charged us an additional fee per hour! Normally if they can accommodate this is given as a courtesy. And even when I agreed to pay, they came to find me at the beach to hurry me and called me in my room multiple times while I was finishing to pack BEFORE the 2 hour time frame.

The service was quite good when you got it, sometimes you had to wait a long time to get service and the staff was clearly a bit "frozen". This was our first time on Holbox Island, and we found it to be a very charming, relaxing and laid back vacation. The staff were very attentive here, and we especially appreciated Miguel’s hospitality. There is an excellent ratio of beach beds to hotel guests, so we never had a hard time getting beds on the beach. The food was excellent, and our room was kept tidy each day.

Petit déjeuner très bon et varié. Plage propre. Dès l’arrivée la couleur est annoncée. Personnel peu sympathique et pas compréhensif ! Nous sommes arrivés 2 h avant l’heure de check in avec un bébé de 11 mois crevé. Aucune tentative de compréhension. On entre dans les chambres à 15h et pas avant ! La suite du séjour n’a que confirmé notre première impression. Personnel du bar restaurant peu compréhensif. J’ai demandé qu’on me cuise des légumes sans sel pour mon bébé car rien d’adapté au menu pour son âge, ce que j’aurais bien évidemment payé, mais sans succès. À chaque boisson consommée on nous pourchassait avec la facture si on osait se déplacer du bar vers les sunbeds. Expérience très décevante étant habitués à ce prix là à un service de bien meilleure qualité et à un personnel bien plus compréhensif. NB: la salle de bain mériterait une rénovation.

- CELINE (10/5): Hôtel invitant à la farniente - Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. La décoration est soignée et la literie est confortable. La plage est située en face de l hôtel avec parasol et transat. Le village est à 10 minutes à pieds soit par la petite route accessible uniquement aux voiturette soit par la plage. Le buffet pour le petit déjeuner est complet et très bon. Et les deux restaurants à disposition cuisinent des produits frais. Le personnel est attentionné. Vous avons eu la possibilité de choisir l’emplacement notre chambre avec un supplément mais une fois sur place nous ne l’avons pas eu mais le remboursement nous a été fait de suite. Nous avons été tout de même déçu.

Nous devons aller à un autre hôtel qui se situe à côté. Nous avions réservé une suite junior avec piscine privée et nous, voilà à un autre hôtel avec une chambre classique sans piscine. Cet hôtel n’est pas honnête envers les réservations faites via booking… déception !

The location of this hotel is perfect, it’s about a 10 min walk into town and the private beach is just about the best stretch of beach we saw on the island as far as we could tell. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. We didn’t chose the all inclusive as we prefer to try the different restaurants available in the town, but the snacks and drinks at the hotel are actually very good value when compared to other local places.

Our rooms TV wouldn’t connect to internet and we had a locked conjoining room. The occupiers of that room were VERY loud also a raccoon kept pooing on our balcony !

Todo en el hotel superó nuestras espectativas: el tamaño de la habitación, del baño, la vista desde el balcón, el personal, la limpieza, la zona de desayuno y el desayuno super completo, el jardín con palmeras y sombra donde descansar, la piscina... en definitiva tuvimos una excelente experiencia y sin duda lo vamos a recomendar!

Volveremos! - El alojamiento muy bien, Pese a q nos hizo malo, viento y lluvia, nos quedamos en el hotel y los camareros muy atentos y simpáticos! Una habitación de unos amigos dijeron que tenía humedades, el cuarto de baño sobretodo la ducha un poco antigua.

Place is super clean, in front of an amazing beach, 10min walk from the center and an easy walking access in direction of punto de musquito! Massage was also super good ! - Nathan (8/5): - Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Les espaces communs sont agréables, le personnel globalement sympathique et la propreté irréprochable. Cependant, un point a un peu gâché notre expérience : nous avions réservé une chambre avec un grand lit, mais on nous a attribué une chambre avec deux lits séparés. Malgré notre remarque à la réception, aucun changement n’a pu être fait. C’est dommage, car tout le reste était vraiment très bien.

- Camilla Quinto (9/5): Un posto perfetto dove staccare e godersi la natura - La camera che abbiamo scelto aveva una piccola piscina ad uso esclusivo e penso che sia uno dei plus di questa struttura, anche perchè purtroppo sulla spiaggia c'erano molte alghe e dunque il mare non era troppo accattivante per fare un bagno. Comodissimi invece i lettini sulla spiaggia ad uso gratuito per gli ospiti dell'hotel. Consiglio infine di sfruttare i servizi della spa: i massaggi sono super e a un prezzo più che onesto. Generalmente migliorerei la pulizia durante il soggiorno nei piccoli dettagli, per rendere il soggiorno ancora più confortevole. Per il resto trovo che la struttura offra degli ottimi servizi!

The staff were super friendly and always willing to assist. The grounds and property are amazing and is also ecologically friendly. The private access to the beach with sun lounges and daybeds with shade available was fabulous. The pools and restaurants were also fantastic. Highly recommend staying here :)

Lo staff potrebbe pulire il sargassso sulla spiaggia, è un peccato....la sabbia è stupenda, ma rimangono le alghe.
- dianagutierrez689 (2/5): Totally disappointed - Absolutely not worth paying for the All-Inclusive Premium package. There is zero difference between the premium and the regular all-inclusive plan. I’ve stayed at many resorts all over the world — including several high-end properties in Mexico — and premium packages usually come with real perks and upgrades. Here, you get nothing extra for the additional cost. It’s basically a rip-off. Save your money and stick with the regular plan — don’t let them upsell you on something that doesn’t deliver any added value.
