- amandasJ769XW (2/5): BEWARE OF BUGS - We stayed here about two weeks ago. Left and stayed with family for two weeks and informed the office there was a bug problem. My fiancé was covered in bites/welts from head to toe. It immediately cleared up when we were at our family home. Came back on Saturday to give the place another chance because we did have decent service and nice neighbors. My fiancé started breaking out again on Sunday and was covered in bites/welts by Monday. We started seeing the bugs on Monday and requested a new room. As soon as we opened the door to new room and turned on light, roaches scattered. This occurred at 9 pm and after working all day, I just wanted to leave, go to a new place, and get to bed. When I requested a refund, $60 of our $225 weekly rate was all that was refunded. I was furious!!!
- Elen (2/5): - We arrived too late at night to go snywhere else. The buildings are falling apart, with old broken furniture outside the rooms. Our room had dried blood in the bathroom and on one of the beds. The door kmob was broken so we pushed a chair against it. Someone came knocking on our door looking for someone else. Its more of place that people rent a room monthly than nightly
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The plumbing was regged up you have to turn on a outside fostet and flush the toilet to get hot water
- Mrbildit (8/5): Good Deal For The Dollars - The room was reasonably priced and clean. The staff was friendly and kind. The pool was very nice, very clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The rug carpeting was all bubbled up everywhere and there was no hot water it was all lukewarm it was raining and there was a river that ran through my bathroom floor but I didn’t see any bugs that was a good thing and I did sleep OK nobody bothered me but I would not recommend
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel Facilities and Staff - The hotel facilities are bad, but the hotel staff are very kind and accommodating.
- foreverpraisers (2/5): WORST MOTEL EVER!!! - We drove in late while heading toward Shepherdsville, KY, unfortunately, we decided to stop in Cave City for the night. We decided to stay at Travel Inn. HUGE MISTAKE! For one thing, we were told we would have two queen size beds, but they were full size instead, with an air conditioner sticking out into half of one of the beds. The bed frames were made out of two by four boards. The soap had another hotel's name on them and the shampoo packet was old and dried up. The wall receptacles were covered up with the beds causing a FIRE HAZARD. The television didn't work properly. We couldn't connect to the internet, so, my husband tried to call the office, but they wouldn't answer the phone. He walked down there, and they didn't want to come to the office, but finally did come. While he was down there, he then noticed a sign that said they would not refund your money if you were not satisfied with the room. We still couldn't connect to the internet. He went back down there and they came to our room. The hotel manager couldn't get it to connect and said he would check with their internet provider to find out what the problem was and he would be right back. He NEVER came back. The beds were not comfortable and the sheets were not clean. The towels were dirty and there was NO HOT WATER! The next morning the COMMODE OVERFLOWED, my husband called to see if they would bring a mop and plunger, they said they couldn't come at that time. He told them we had to be able to get into the restroom to clean up so we could leave, so, he told him he would try to get over there. By this time, there was about an inch of water standing on the restroom floor. The guy that was running the motel came in our room and kept CUSSING about the situation with the commode. We were informed that he couldn't clean up the water because THEY DIDN'T HAVE A MOP. With a whole lot more cussing and ranting he said that WE WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO PUT TOILET PAPER IN THE COMMODE!!! He said they were planning to post signs in the rooms to instruct people not to put toilet paper in the commodes. I guess their absence of a mop would help to explain the filthiness of the floor. We asked what we could do about the floor in order that we could get ready, so, he threw some towels down on the floor. We asked about using the empty room next door, and he very RELUCTANTLY said that we could as long as we ONLY used the restroom over there. During all this time while he was CUSSING AND RANTING, he stood there letting the plunger drip on the carpet. The shower was so filthy that we were afraid to use it, but there was also no hot water. The whole bathroom was FILTHY. So, we weren't able to clean up properly before we went to visit with some family. Overall, this was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST MOTEL we have ever stayed at. You will be much better off, regardless of how tired you are, to just keep on driving past this motel to ANY OTHER PLACE even if it means sleeping in your car.
- D5012JNdavidt (6/5): Cheap but nice place. - This is what I would describe as your typical one night and out. Nothing special but it was a nice place to lay your head. We arrived at about 1am and the on duty clerk couldnt figure out how to take a credit card and had to call someone else to assist her. I'm not talking about a couple of minutes, it literally took her about 20 minutes to get it figured out. I was almost to the point of pulling out and getting another but she finally was able to get our room. Other than that, the rooms and especially the beds were very comfortable.
