Guest Reviews
- Shannon (1/5): Don't stay here! - Not one thing! We arrived after 12am as we stated we would and noone was there and noone answered the phone! So we didnt stay here. This place is very sketchy and run down and in a horrible neighborhood. We were very happy to move on and find a safer place to stay.
- Barbara (9/5): - Very cute place, location was great!! Neighbors above us were loud and could hear them walking around
- MUCYO GAKUBA (8/5): Enjoyed my brief stay - N/A N/A
- Allan (7/5): -
- Arndt (7/5): - It was OK. All was fine but the cleaning staff forgot to clean the sink and mirror in the bathroom That's why we rated at 7.
- Cassie (1/5): uncomfortable and wont stay again - Not much, actually. It needs to be cleaned, badly and look more appealing. Aside from it not being clean. They had 1 towel for 4 people and no one was ever available to provide, even after the “office opened” at nine. There was never an employee in the office, other than check-in. And you can’t call, it’s not a working number, or they have it only working during office hours 9am to 9pm. Don’t own an Inn if you can’t have somebody working your office 24/7, especially if you dont stock the room with the necessary items for people to stay.
- Loran (8/5): Quant rooms good enough for a comfortable night's sleep. Excellent value with low room rates. - Location was on my route. It's in a small town with very few choices, but I was pleased with the facility and service. There was no food service, but there's a resteraunt a half-mile away.
- Wesley (8/5): Good for the area. - Assessable Communication with the office was at times hard to find any one available.
- brittany (8/5): Kygal - Close to every thing. Bath tub didn't look the clearest. Worker that checked me in wasn't the best customer service satisfaction. Didn't greet me, had a different attitude. She wasnt happy
- Susan (7/5): - Sorry did not partake in the breakfast
- Chambers (1/5): I would never stay in that motel. - We ended up driving 30 minutes out of our way to stay at another motel. The room on the website was nothing like the room we got when we checked in.
- Amy (3/5): Dont expect much. - The door locked. When we got there i had to call twice just to check in. These images aren't currently what it looks like. The courtyard was a disaster. Pictures are clearly from years ago. There was a dirty towel on the back of our door.
- ron (2/5): First and last time - $30 room with $100 price tag
- Robert (7/5): -
- tiffany (10/5): - I love the peacefulness
- Christeen (2/5): - The towels were very nice. Liked the ceiling fan in the room. The air conditioner was very cold. The shower had hot water. The property is in VERY bad shape.
- Melody (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Joyce (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (7/5): Good -
- Edwin (5/5): Passable - Small town charm and very convenient to the downtown area. While the place is a cute little motel/inn, it is starting fo show its age. It definitely needs some attention to the outside to keep it from falling apart. Interior was nicely decorated. The biggest issue we had was the sheets on the bed were pretty thin and not sized for the mattress. The fitted sheets just would not stay fitted on the mattress.
- Tealaox (8/5): Very good - Clean, hot water, really soft bed! Lobby was hard to find, no coffee in room
- Deron (7/5): Good -
- Michael (5/5): Not as happy with this stay compared to my last at this establishment - The place is convenient and close to downtown. The air conditioner/ heater made a very loud noise while on. The toilet tank took a very long time to fill and had trouble flushing. The speakers on the television were blown and there were boogers on the wall from a previous customer. Just needs a little tlc and a few updates.
- Doris (9/5): Superb - Peaceful, rustic just like home!
- Rebecca (8/5): Worth the money. - It was a very quiet place. Lots of shade and areas to sit. The room was clean except one mirror. Cozy room and comfortable bed and pillows. Tasteful decor and rustic. The staff was not rude but not very helpful. Only seen when checking in. Office is not easily seen from street but a phone number is available. I am disabled and issues walking and added that to my reservation. I was on the ground floor but walked to the furthest room. Many others were closer to parking.
- Ronda (8/5): For the price, it was great - I had no breakfast Lamp burnt out in my room. After 2 nights had to go ask for more linens
- Snmoblr (7/5): Good -
- Travis (7/5): We enjoyed a comfortable stay in Jamesport. Would do it again. - We loved how homey it felt. And it was close to where we needed to be. The bed was big and comfy. The pillow was a bit hard and the corners needed cleaning, especially behind the bathroom door. Had to get breakfast somewhere else.
- Connie (2/5): Very poor - Location was great Pictures on Booking.com are very old. The picture above must have been taken years ago. In reality this wall is covered with vines you can't even read the name of the motel. The smell of must and mold was overwhelming. Looks like this is an extended stay property. No vacancy light was on during the whole stay and obviously it was not full.
- Ginger (8/5): Very good -
- Patrick (3/5): Poor -
- Andrew (5/5): Passable -
- Alex (10/5): - Nice quiet little place
- Randall (10/5): - Close to downtown. Good location, clean rooms and very friendly staff.
- Gailen (8/5): - Nice place to stay. Great pric.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Over priced - Floors was durty. People was hanging out making noise. There was a child I guess running in the room upstairs. Sorry I did not take pictures. Office is not accessible after 8pm to 8am. It was a nice place to stay at one time. It changed a lot.
- Joe (10/5): - Easy to get to
- Kimberly (10/5): Almost Missed Opportunity - The room was comfortable and the staff was nice. They said they didn't use Booking.com so didn't have a reservation for me! Fortunately, someone else had cancelled and they were able to accommodate us. Be sure you call the place to ensure they have a reservation before you go!
- Gooch (3/5): Poor -
- S (10/5): - Quite, comfortable, friendly and just a very good place to call home when on the road!!
- Calhoun (10/5): - Very friendly, rooms very clean, nicely decorated. Great community for eating and shopping.
- Scott (8/5): Nice but outside showing age - The room was nice but a little small. Interior was well kept but exterior is getting old and in need of some updating
- Sue (6/5): - Nothing unique. It was very tired looking place.
- Darren (10/5): Awesome stay!!!! - The stay was awesome! This very peaceful, lovely, family owned hotel accentuates the history of the area. It is close to the historical sites in the area. The owner was extremely hospitable, kind, and accommodating. We definitely will return when we come next!
- Robert (10/5): - Parking was a bit problematic as i was towing a boat, but there were some workable solutions. The three generation deep family was very friendly and the Country Cupboard Restauant was a short walk up the street and served excellent food at reasoble prices. My room large, clean, unique and comfortable. I highly recommend this location.
- Albert L (10/5): - This is a quaint little inn in the heart of the small town. Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The inside of the room was clean and was very pretty. I loved the mural on the wall. The bed was comfortable. The outside, however, needed attention.
- Tom (10/5): - It was a charming place to spend the night. Bed/ mattress was good. I brought in my own pillows though. Breakfast was simple individually wrapped convenience items. No hot items. Staff was friendly.
- Audrey (7/5): Over all, it was fine for a short stay! Friendly staff - Steps going upstairs were a little scary! A few need preparing
- Melissa A (10/5): - Dont let the outside fool you. Very cute, clean place to stay!
- Kim or Kathy (4/5): - The lady checking us in was nice but the room had a bad smell. I would not stay there again.
- Kathleen (8/5): Very good -
- Alan (8/5): Relaxing - Nice , quiet location Could use desk for work
- Fred (2/5): Stink - Run down had a foam egg crate mattress topper on the old bed and it stunk n the room the outside was just horrendous needs a maintenance guy bad the woman that checks u n is handicapped and cannot get around to have anything fixed one building is unusable needs lots of work and new paint job
- Nita (7/5): Good - The place was an older inn. Within walking distance of downtown. Room were clean. They also had a nice outdoor area with chairs and fireplace, and another one with picnic tables. I didn't like that I booked the room thru Booking.com and when I got there they said they no longer did business with you. Luckily I got a room and it was cheaper than what you were charging me!
- Sonja (7/5): Good - Convenient and clean. The Continental breakfast was only coffee, dry cereals and cookies.
- Priscilla N. (6/5): - This is a very unique property. We enjoyed staying there although the upstairs guests were moving furniture around a lot. The continental breakfast isn't really fresh, but the woman who runs the place is very nice.
- Roger (7/5): We will be back again! - Penny was wonderful!
- Joy (10/5): - The owner was so sweet . Loved the decorations in my room. Nice and quiet place going back in may
- Robert (10/5): wonderful small town in Middle America - quaint
- Sarah (8/5): - We liked the location and unique decor. A little too easy to hear me wct door neighbors and wooden stairway to upper deck should be redone. Also hard to work remote for tv..not obvious.
- Jadon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lance (7/5): Good -
- Lars (10/5): Excellent place to stay. Not very expensive. Great location. Highly recommend. - Old time western style interior decorations was a lot of fun and tastefully done. Plenty warm for a winter’s night. They could reseal the door.
- Kevin (10/5): - Very nice comfortable rooms .
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Harold (8/5): Jamesport Inn - Interesting decor. Sort of a combination of Amish and Western. bed was large and comfy and snacks were available in the office.
- Terry (9/5): Superb -
- Glenda (10/5): - Love the decor, themed room. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was awesome. Love love this place. Only place we will stay when in this area.
- Richard (6/5): very good - quiet toilet ran.
- Marilyn (9/5): Rooms were clean and quiet. - We had stayed here 20 years ago and it was fun to see they had not changed the room decor. Actually we got the very same room. quilts were a little worn. We saw so many Amish horse and carriages pass by in the evening as we sat out on the balcony. It was so quiet and peaceful at this inn. We went out for breakfast to the Country Cupboard and had a great breakfast there. This is a small town so don't expect it to be grand. It was quiet, clean and comfortable.
- Shelton (6/5): Quaint and restful stay - The place is dated and tired looking but that was to be expected. Everything was clean and the beds comfortable. Loved the outdoor fireplit, wood floors, and cute Amish quilts on the beds. It had it's charm. Breakfast was really sparse. Just a few packaged items like Hostess muffins, granola bars, and juice bottles. Would have liked more options, especially fresh options! Local bakery items would have been a fun and welcomed addition.
- John (10/5): - This was our 4th time here. We like staying in the different theme rooms.
My only concern was the tub in the garden room was not as clean as in other rooms we've stayed in.
I would recommend staying in this Inn to everyone that likes learning about the Amish, Mennonite's, and the history of them.
- Patricia (1/5): So stinky we did not stay. - We did not stay at the hotel, as it was very stinky. When we walked into the office, we were immediately hit by very strong dirty dog smell. So we asked to look at the rooms. They smelled strongly of mold, so we did not stay there.
- Bill (4/5): - Location.
- Keith (10/5): Great Place Very Reasonable Rate - Room and breakfast area was very clean. A great place to stay.
- Lisa (10/5): Worn out seps - The steps need to be fixed going upstairs before someone falls through
- Terry (8/5): Would DEFINITELY go back! - I LOVE that each room is decorated differently. Very fun and kitchy. The beds were so comfortable and the room had a mini-fridge with freezer, microwave and coffee maker. The shower water pressure wasn't amazing, but the hot water lasted forever! There were so many cute little items in the room - from the birdhouse lamp to the wall decor of branches.... we loved it!
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Roy (8/5): - Due to my bad back, I loved the recliner chair in the room. I didn't like the absence of a refrigerator.
- Joe (10/5): - Neat location. Would be a wonderful location for a family reunion or group get-together. Love the porches and outside cooking facilities. Definitely stay again
- Deann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pavla (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Neat little hotel - Neat little hotel
- Cyndi (4/5): - We loved the cats on the property. The room did not seem very clean, the toilet would not flush, the bed was extremely hard and the shower did not work. Very disappointed in our stay at the Jamesport Inn.
- Allissa (10/5): - The only thing i would change is the owner doesnt come out from the back (her residence) unless you are paying. She just yells from the back. But it is the country.
- Scott (8/5): - Liked the decor inside the room. Dislike the a/c unit. It was old and smelled.
- Michael (10/5): - It was a quaint hotel in an Amish town.
- MARK (8/5): - Each room was uniquely decorated, and ours contained a refrigerator and microwave. The manager went out of her way to accommodate our request for a main floor room, making our comings and goings much easier. The common areas including the fire pit and the covered patio were conducive visiting with other guests. It would have been nice to spend more than the one night we had time for.
- Rina (4/5): Very disappointing stay! - I was shocked at the lack of cleanliness and lack of housekeeping. I stayed at Jamesport Inn 6 times prior to this last visit and I have always had a good experience. Not sure what changed or happened at thr Inn, but I will not be back again. It was very unpleasant. Even the coffeemaker was filfthy.
- Cindy (8/5): - Clean, comfortable, close to everything.
- Kevin (8/5): - We arrived kinda late, but the guy working was very helpful and efficient. Rooms were very nice. Comfortable and spacious. Only negative thing was that the coffee and breakfast were not ready when we left at 6:50. The grocery store is a couple blocks away , and they had coffee and hot food
- Marie (8/5): Very friendly - The town was amazing they have great antics furniture and great food
- Trisha (4/5): - Plug in didn’t work, smoke alarm went off trying to use heater and someone tried coming in the room with a key.
- Mitchell (8/5): - Easy access to Amish stores. Rooms were decorated very uniquely - reminded me of themed Bed & Breakfast rooms.
- Karen (10/5): - very nice room for the money
- Susan (8/5): I would stay there again - Lovely room, but no blow dryer or coffee, but there was a coffee maker.
Quiet room, very close to the Amish community with their restaurants, bakeries, and quilt shops. Close to Hamilton, the home of Missouri Star Quilt Co.
- David (10/5): Great place! - This countryside hotel was really great. Nicely decorated, clean, comfortable bed, great shower, and a nice setting on the hotel grounds - including a barbecue. The town of Jamesport is amazing, complete with horses and buggies. Be sure to take a look around. I definitely hope to stay there again someday!
