Restauranter og shopping rett ved, kort vei til gamlebyen og til offentlig transport. Ren og hyggelig leilighet. • Denise (9/5): Schöne, grosse Wohnung mitten in der Stadt - Sehr schöne, grosse Wohnung mitten in der Altstadt. Man kann sehr viel zu Fuss erkunden. Die Küche war mit allem ausgestattet, wir haben aber nur den Wasserkochen benutzt. Es hatte fussläufig viele Restaurants, Pubs und Cafés. Wir hatten die Castle Suite zuoberst - die Aussicht über die Dächer der Stadt zum Castle sensationell. Die 93 Treppenstufen hoch haben für Fitnesstraining gesorgt ;).
• Tracy (10/5): Great Views - This is a beautiful well appointed accommodation right in the centre of George Street, which gives you access to everything you need for your stay in Edinburgh. It has everything you might need for a short to a long stay. The views from this apartment are amazing. The only downside is the amount of stairs up to this apartment, which could be a problem for some as there is no lift.

• Abdulajij Valli Ismail (10/5): Excellent flat very good Location. - Very clean and excellent Location, comfortable Bed etc Too early to check out specially you got to children to make them ready, plus they don’t keep you laggage . They can make one cupboard with lock pin so passanger can put in and collect in evening with same main door door entry. This will very helpful specially you you have late evening flight with children. Please make arrangements, they suggest we can put laggage on Railway Station or post office lockers and pay £5 each bag, this very inconvenience and time wasting specially you on holidays and with children to carry bags.to flat you come back in late evening collect your bags and call taxi than no hussale and bussale. Please make facilities and for laggage storage if even you can charge little fee, I this all customer will happily pay.
• Consuelo (10/5): Un buen sitio para ver Edimburgo - La ubicación y la comodidad del apartamento Nos tocó un 3r piso y al no haber ascensor subir y bajar con maletas resultó muy pesado
• MARIA ALEJANDRA (6/5): Departamento bien ubicado - La ubicación y la atención constante del encargado. El living muy grande y con TV. Todos los dormitorios con TV, aunque faltaba el control remoto de una habitación. Había lavavajillas y lavarropas, aunque no los usamos. La calefacción funcionaba y calentaba bien. Se encuentra en un primer piso por escalera de aproximadamente 25 o 30 escalones. Los baños muy pequeños, uno de ellos a 4 escalones dentro del dormitorio y sin espejo. Ambos tenían roto los picaportes y se tenían que cerrar con la traba. No había caja de seguridad y solo un cobertor extra para todas las habitaciones. Muy tarde el horario de checkin, 16 hs.

• Nikola (9/5): Sehr emfehlenswert - Die Lage ist sehr gut. Die Sauberkeit war gegeben und auch die Beschreibungen laut dem Internet sind zutreffend. Von der Ausstattung her gibt es nichts zu bemengeln. Da es sich um ein älteres Gebäude handelt hört man die Nachbarn im oberen Stockwerk doch deutchlich durch die Wohnung (rennen) laufen.

• Hilary (10/5): Stunning apartment if a perfect location. - The properly was stunning, beautifully presented and well equipment. The location was perfect. We had the apartment on the top floor, 4 flights of stairs 2 of which were steep. I can’t remember seeing anything about this when booking, I could have missed it though. However, the apartment was amazing and so were the views.

• Claire (8/5): - The location was fantastic, and a lovely spacious living room. Beds were comfortable, and it was very easy to access. The welcome pack was much appreciated. There were areas of the apartment that weren’t clean. Under sink in kitchen was all brown water stains, and tubes from used tampons under en-suite sink. The en-suite sink unit also needs replaced.

There were a few flights of stairs but we expecting this so it was not an issue for us - the views made up for the effort! Excellent communication from the hosts and the accommodation was fabulous. Nothing.

Thank you for your hospitality and trust. Hussain Bin Asri Frankly, the only problem I faced some noises from the upper ceiling when the neighbor from the second floor runs around the apartment. However, it doesn't affect my pleasure living in your property which I felt like my home.
• Hayley (8/5): Great location, clean and comfy. - Great location, well maintained, clean and comfortable 3 flights of stairs to the apartment, which we didn’t realise at the time - that should be noted in the description. It’s on a noisy street which might bother some, esp at night as George St is busy with pubs and clubs. Also a lot of homeless people bedding down in the doorway which is a bit disconcerting and intimidating.

It was also not made clear that there was no other way to get the bags up the stairs , than carry them up the 3 flights. This should be clearer

• beverly (1/5): Unforgettably terrible . - It was noisy however having to climb 80 steep steps with luggage was completely unacceptable and and unprofessional on your behalf. As we were unable to do so for One night let alone 5 nights we had the expense of having to book in to other accommodation. A total disgrace. Not to mention when we had to collect the keys at a convenience store as per your instructions the young’s fellows wouldn’t give us the keys and we had to make a phone call. Every travellers nightmare is what I would call this experience.Even working out how to enter the premises itself was a hassle.

The sheets and doona were stained in one of the beds as well as loose particles on the sheets. There was also considerable street noise both nights.

No banister or handrail on first flight of stairs. 3. We think you should have made us aware of the sheer amount of stairs. This was a huge problem as some of our party had knee and hip issues. Vi måtte også hjælpe en gruppe om fredagen med at finde frem til deres kode så de kunne komme ind ad døren Det er meget utætte vinduer. Lidt mere info om hvor termostaten sad og at man kunne regulere på den.

• Elaine (7/5): Very spacious warm comfortable accommodation in a great location - Great location, warm and comfortable however, there were a lot of stairs, could benefit from a lift, the microwave had no control knobs so couldn't use it .. the large rug in the lounge looked very tired with large stains on it, could do with a replacement. It was requested that the bins were emptied and put out side in a bin, there weren't any? (an observation from having run a holiday letting businesses myself)

• Sharryn (9/5): Great place except for the noise - Large rooms with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We booked two apartments as we were a group of 8 and there was plenty of room for us to eat and sit together in one apartment. Edinburgh is very expensive compared to other Scottish places we stayed but overall these were reasonably priced for the area . It was right next to a bar. We stayed Thursday to Sunday and it was very noisy in the bedrooms at the front of the apartment. If you don’t like stairs these apartments are not for you unless you are on the lower levels. We were on 3rd and 4th floor and there were lots of stairs.

• Paul (9/5): Exceptionally spacious and comfortable apartment - Very large, spacious, well maintained and appointed apartment with great views. We were at the top of a Georgian townhouse in the heart of Edinburgh so had great views north to the Firth of Forth and south to the Castle. There is no lift, but the wide staircase is easy to manage. Exceptionally comfortable and good choice of artwork, posters and prints. All within 10 mins walk of Edinburgh Waverley station. Was there a downside yes. Gerorge street is a busy shoping street (great, lots to do) with plenty of nightlife too. So the bedrooms at the front of the apartment could be noisy at night, bring ear plugs if you are light sleeper. Double glazed windows would help and curtains in the smaller of the two bedrooms would also help. Sadly there were none, just a blind.

The bed (king or queen size) had a perfectly firm mattress—not too soft—making for a super comfy sleep. The heating worked great too, keeping the room nice and warm. Service was top-notch too; every request I had got a quick, helpful response.

I thought it would have been handy to have a booklet describing how the heating and some of the appliances work ie. We didn't have any idea how to get any heating which I had assumed would have been on a timer. Fortunately we didn't need it too much. The management were advised and agreed to have someone look at it but an operational guide would have been handy, other than that no complaints 😊

Starting off the trip the host wasn’t very responsive, nor accommodating (especially considering we were staying for four nights). Lights/bathroom doors/window frames were all broken.

Tout peut se faire à pied Appartement très bien équipé avec une vue superbe sur le chateau d'un côté et sur la baie de l'autre côté Dommage, pas de cadeau de bienvenue comme une bouteille ou autres, simplement 2/3 sachets de café solubles et thé...c'est assez léger comparé au standing de l'appartement. Ménage léger à certains endroits. Les escaliers pour atteindre l'appartement.

• Jamal (9/5): - Location was perfect. The apartment was good and clean and it fit our whole family comfortably. The service from the staff was not the best. We paid 20 pounds for extra bedding, which we requested before our arrival but we never received. They assured us that we'll get it but then we were just ignored. They were not as cooperative as we would've expected which is a shame because it's a great apartment and we just wanted some respect and assitance.

The location was very convenient, with walking distance from Waverley Train Station. The bathrooms are small, and you need to get on steep stairs to get into apartments. No lift.

Told to put up with it for 1 night and next day someone will come to fix. Next day told was not easily fixable and offered alternative accommodation 2 km away which was unsuitable for walking to conference. Have requested a refund and still not processed weeks later.

• Gopal (2/5): Very Uncomfortable. NO LIFT to 4th floor- book only if you can climb 90 stairs with your luggage. - Only the location. 1. NO LIFT in the property- had to carry all the luggage to 4th floor apartment. 2. At the time of check-in no message from property had to wait on the road outside the apartment for long time to get the code- which was not working initially. Message with code numbers came on booking.com at 5PM. Meanwhile we got it after wasting a lot of time on international call with property manager. 3. The property manager was very rigid about everything. 4. They do not clean the place till you stay, anything required additional even a towel wash was told as chargeable. So in case anyone stays for longer- the place will be dirty, if you run out of supplies- there is no way you can get them from property. 5. No one picks up the helpline call after 5.30 PM on the number provided. There was no hot water in bathroom on night and we didn't know whom to approach. 6. Name displayed at the main door is not JOIVY Luxury Flats- so keep guessing.
• Jin-a (6/5): Beautiful apartment in a great location, but not as comfortable as we expected it to be - The apartment has lots of nice amenities and everything is quite clean, the view is amazing and we loved the feel of it. Sitting by the window to see the sun set was quite spectacular. The location is incredibly convenient and the two bathrooms were very nice. The windows towards the street are extremely thin, there's barely a barrier to the noise outside and there was so much noise that you'll have a hard time sleeping without ear plugs. There's a bar right below the street-facing bedroom and during the weekend the noise was so bad we barely got any sleep. People that are light sensitive will need an eye mask as the curtains barely keep any light out. The staff is very inflexible, right after booking we realised we made a mistake and asked for a small adjustment in our booking and it was denied. We also travelled with two older people and not being made aware of the many steps we had to take to reach the apartment was a bit of a shock.
• James (9/5): Superb - Great location and very spacious, comfortable flat. It is beyond the control of the property owners, but there can be quite a bit of street noise and music from nearby pubs until late at night, which is probably worse at weekends, which is when we stayed. It was not a problem to us, but we were three floors up and there is no lift.
• José (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, spacious flat, with great views and lots of light. Very well located, yet very calm at nights. Would totally recommend. The only thing is there is no lift, in case you are not comfortable with stairs

• Christopher (10/5): Fantastic Stay with Joivy! - The location was central and had a fantastic view of the city and the Edinburgh Castle. There was a great variety of shops and restatuarants nearby as well as easy access to public transportaiton. The Princes Street Tram stop is 2 blocks away for easy access to the airport. The flat was large, clean, and comforrtable. The JOIVY host was easily accessible and responsive via WhatsApp. Not really a complaint, but for your awareness the apartment is on the 3rd European/4th American floor, hence the great views! If you're not used to climbing that many stairs or require a wheelchair accessible place, this flat is not for you.

• Kirsi (8/5): Beautiful flat - The flat is just as beautiful as it is in the pictures. Location is ideal and also the views are the best. This a very good size 2bedroom flat in Edinburgh standards. If you understand that it is the 4th floor so there is climing and the bedroom on George street side is quite noisy, you are good to go. Now, the problem was the heating ( did now rise and then stay). The manual was useless. It was more warm in the corridor than in the flat. I can see this has been mentioned also in the previous reviews, so it is about time to sort the issue or update the manual with ALL steps with the heating. Also the washing machine didn't work, so having to wash dishes by hand on your holiday with the kids was no nice. Due to the problems, I had to contact the admin basically every day during our 5 day stay. During summer months heating is not an issue, but for winter months this flat is not value for money. Better maintenance and checking the appliances would give the guest possibilty to enjoy their holiday.
• Ellie (8/5): Lovely stay in beautiful Edinburgh - Good location, very clean and good quality facilities We were aware that it would Be quite noisy as in new town but it was particularly noisy on Saturday as people were leaving night clubs. This was not the fault of the staff letting the property and would likely be noisy wherever you stay in the area.
