- Charles (9/5): - Conviently situated, its an old house which is well kept and the rooms are large none
- Donna (8/5): Fantastic Local Find - A wonderful big room, with a fantastic large shower. It was lovely & clean & the bed was extremely comfortable. Iiked the local history information leaflet & the grounds look like an explorers paradise. Sound seems to travel through the building & the main door slams shut & seems to vibrate throughout the whole place.
The towels/bath mat weren't as soft/fluffy/new feeling as I like.
There could have been more milks, tea, sugars etc & a little biscuit would have been nice.

- James (10/5): very nice, much nicer than expected, room amazing - Room cheap, massive room, comfy beds, good coffee and tea, usable desk/office space, comfortable couch, VERY BIG ROOM. Very nice staff, room very clean, water very warm, room cleaned almost everytime I left the house. Good heating. awesome sheep that comes right up to the house. Slightly far from pubs and restaurants but fine with a rental car
- Charles James (8/5): No problems affordable accommodation - Very old with nice big rooms None

- Andrew Morgan Jones (8/5): I enjoyed my stay - Location, building, and bed. Nothing
- Noreen (10/5): Charming cosy stay! - The house itself was an old-style cottage, full of quiet charm. I loved the old fireplace, worn smooth with time, and the wooden shutters that creaked softly and the tiny bit of light that would shine through the cracks. Staff were at hand when needed. The room was clean and roomy! The grounds were also nice. There was a cute swing that I had really wanted to get my photo taken on but missed it as it was raining! Next time! No mirror in the room. Would have been nice to have a floor length mirror for when I was getting ready for my night out. The walls are thin. You can hear everything.
- Piotr (3/5): - House is overlooking nice looking fields Customer service is tragic, also note that deposit of 50£ is demanded to be taken off your account.

- Theresa (7/5): A comfortable room at a good price. - An amazing huge room with a very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee facilities. In grand surroundings with parking. The bin was small and not emptied whilst i was there.Because I had to take food in the room to eat the packaging became built up in the bin.
It would be nice if people when leaving the front door would be more considerate and not slam it. My room was next to it and late at night and early morning it was slammed shut, waking me suddenly! Maybe a notice could be put on the door??
The BBC channels on the TV did not seem to work very well, however there were plenty of others to choose from so not a major problem.
The side lights by the bed were not working, however the lady at reception did get me a lamp when I reported it.

- Fraser (7/5): - The property is amazing and so historical but it’s a shame the outside is covered in wires for the cctv and other communications. The rooms are clean but the place seems to be rushed and thrown together. I left early wasn’t happy
- Dale (6/5): - Was cheap and just somewhere to sleep . Stale almost stagnant smell down stairs and rooms very dusty and loads of cobwebs and spiders in them in the bathroom .
- Stephen (7/5): - Lovely big room ,warm comfy, Netflix a plus. No breakfast served at bonkle house sadly.
- anonymous (10/5): - ideal location very good value for money stay everytime I'm up working in Glasgow
- Simon (5/5): Value for money. - Good location, good size room. TV signal was poor, screen was getting frozen … That night when we stayed people next room were very loud until 4am.
- Peter (8/5): Nice - Location
- Joel (8/5): -
- Oi (10/5): - Staff was very nice and helping. A bit cold
- Desmond (9/5): -

- Sarah (5/5): - Place was really cheap for two nights. The room itself was spacious with a double and single bed, sofa and table. The lady knocked on the door the second day and asked if I needed anything which was kind and friendly.
Soap, body wash and shampoo were available.
Gardens look lovely. Place needs a bit of updating, paint chipped/cracked.
Plumbing issues with shower did message about this but no one came about this and heard trickling sound from the shower during the remainder of my stay which became annoying. Door at night from guests kept on banging a sign to remind guests to be cautious of this may be helpful as this woke me up.
Walls are thin and can hear other guests in next room.
Bad smell in front entrance which drifted into the room. Don’t mind owners cooking but possibly doing this elsewhere.
Toilet brush in the bathroom that looked used. Needed replaced or to not be in the room.
No breakfast. Possible picnic baskets or room service would be great option.
Owners weren’t present at check out time with previous guests. Had one guest early in the morning (7am) shouting hello, is anyone there? A good few times which woke me up.
The key for the room was the same as the front door to get in and out of B&B. Made me think that all rooms had the same key- the thought of this made me feel unsafe as I kept on thinking someone can wander into room unannounced.
There is so much potential if they tightened the things above, it could be a desirable place to stay if and when needed to.

- Lorraine (6/5): Lovely and basic at the same time. - The room was spacious with some lovely period features. We found the property easily and it was easy to park. Staff were on hand to check us in promptly. I feel that the room could have been cleaned better prior to our arrival. The carpet didn't feel clean and parts of the decor in the bathroom were tatty.
- Theresa (10/5): We had a great time. - Very Clean, spacious, comfortable bed.
- Justin (10/5): -
- Erin (1/5): - I had phoned to try and arrange an early check in - a very unhelpful phone call to say the least. Advised to go to property to speak to staff. Place looked abandoned, rang the bell 3 times and waited for around 30 mins. No one ever came to the door therefore i left and found somewhere else to stay. Terrible experience to be honest, do not recommend at all!

- Hina (9/5): -
- Alaga (8/5): - I like the service and the environment Notting
- Derek (10/5): - Woman on reception could not do enough for us lovely woman
- Plant Training ltd (9/5): Really nice place to stay very well priced, I will go back again in January. - The room was spacious and comfortable with on-suite. Well priced and near town too. Hard to find in the dark. Would of liked better signage.
- Brooklyn (10/5): The best - Everything Nothing
- colin (1/5): Very poor and distressing - The room were allocated (called Woodside) was very poor. The furnishings were shabby and stained. The bedding seemed clean. We only stayed two nights though we were booked in for 5 nights. After the 1st night we awoke to a few itchy spots but were not overly concerned. After the 2nd night we awoke very itchy and had multiple what I can only describe as bites. We decided to check out Immediately. Doing this we couldn't raise the staff at reception nor on the mobile phone numbers they had provided . I waited 10 minutes to no avail. We then booked another hotel nearby and left the premises. Shortly after leaving a member of staff called my mobile to ask if had left, as I had left the keys hanging up at reception. I told her the reason why and she seemed than concerned. When I mentioned getting a refund her understanding of what I was saying was not perfect. She then said "sorry and goodbye " and ended the call. All in all I would not recommend Bonkle house to anyone. We had to visit a pharmacist who confirmed the were bites we had suffered and recommended steroid cream.
- anonymous (10/5): - everything nice spacious roo. comfortable bed clean

- Mahmood (10/5): - Staff was very nice and very helpful 👍 Definitely worth coming again, in this cold place was very warm and welcoming
- Michael (1/5): Absolutely abysmal - The staff Only 2 small bedside lights worked.
Room was constantly cold
All you good smell all night was spices.
Only stayed one night out of six booked in somewhere else for the remainder of my stay.
- Alan (9/5): - Very friendly welcome, very quiet location, room was generously big on both occasions I stayed there nothing comes to mind
- Russell (10/5): - 2nd time we have stayed at the house. It's like home from home.
The rooms are enormous, clean and comfortable.

sehr mystisch auch .
Die Dame beim Check in war wirklich sehr freundlich/nett/lieb/hilfsbereit!!:)
Betten sehr bequem und das Zimmer war ebenfalls sehr gemütlich!!!
- Adriana (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): -
- Roy (4/5): Too noisy and no suitable wiFi - Large comfortable room and nice hotel grounds. Extremely loud, with parties and music in the early hours, especially bad as there is a connecting door to the rooms.
Not much use for a work base because of noise and lack of a suitable Internet connection.
- Ryan (10/5): -
- Kathryn (4/5): Warm comfortable but unkempt - Clean and comfortable bedding I arrived in the dark and thought it was boarded up but it was just dirty windows dish a shame a beautiful house just needs a deep clean
- Paul (9/5): -
- Michael (5/5): - It was incredibly inexpensive. The lady who checked me in was super nice and friendly. In the dark it was such a hard place to find. Drove past it several times.
The room was clean but really tired and in need of decoration. The shower head dripped all night disturbed my sleep.
