- Kayla (7/5): Great location wish the pool was open - The price was great and the location was good. It was nice that the hotel is pet friendly. The pool was not open, which was a huge disappointment seeing as that was 80% of the reason why we booked this hotel. If it was not going to be open, you should be made aware when you book. Also it seems like booking through booking.com made things a bit more complicated, when I checked in, they did not know that I had already paid and it took quite a while for the woman working the desk to confirm that I had already paid. Also if it is a pet friendly hotel, when you book there should be an option that you can choose if you are bringing a pet so you can pay the pet deposit at the same time that you pay for the room rental. It's an inconvenience to have to pay online when you book and then charge your card again when you get there for a pet deposit. Overall it's a decent hotel especially at that price point. There are no bugs and it wasn't dirty but it is a bit old and outdated but for that price you can't complain about the decor.

- fielder (8/5): Enjoyable night away from home. - The bed was comfortable. The shower was great. I loved the hot tub and pool. The beach is beautiful but it rained and we couldn't use the fire rings. Openable windows are always a plus. Breakfast was not very palatable. The pancakes were rubbery. No hot choices. No coffee maker in the room.

(No jets/bubbles) it's just a hot pool. The lights and TV were confusing to turn on. The room had hard floors which is awful!

The pool room also needs a deep clean. The hot tub needs to be fixed(no jets/bubbles). Most of the outlets were not working in the room. The lights were very confusing to turn on and off. The Breakfast is sad and stale.

- Anderson (3/5): There was nothing good about this stay except that it was short. - The room was extremely dirty with holes in the curtains, moldy dog food under the bed, used cups under the bedside table, dust and dog hair around the edges of the room and around the furniture. There was a layer of dust on everything and mold in the freezer. The bathroom/shower supplies were awful quality. My child was awake all night because of the insane amount and volume of noise all night long, with people yelling until 2am and dogs barking nonstop most of the night. Even the smell of the room was terrible. Worst hotel that I have ever stayed at.

- Maria (5/5): My stay was not good or bad. - What I liked about my stay was that the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. What I did not like was that there is no soundproofing at all. I could hear the people outside my window, outside my door, and the walls seemed thin. Therefore, it was difficult to get a restful sleep.

This was exactly what we were looking for, on a Great Lake in Northern Michigan! The beach was beautiful. It was private, quiet, and sandy (this side of the state can get rocky). Room was dated, but the bed was comfortable and clean.

A boardwalk to beach would have been nice. I use a walker and it is a bit of walk to the water. So it is not readily accessible for the handicapped.

The room was nice. The ac didn't work too great but not bad. We would have liked conditioner along with shampoo in the bathroom but that's a personal preference.

The room wasn't very clean and there was a smell upon entering. Visible dust on the television base, stand it sat on (dresser), fridge and microwave, also the bathroom tub was not very clean I purchased a cleaner & scrubber to clean the tub & shower before showering, the coffee maker in the room had sludge build up where the water goes, the floors also appeared to only be vacuumed in the main areas as there were debris under the desk and along edges of the wall & furniture and I also purchased a wall plug in aroma diffuser to make my stay a little better.

The room was nasty and disgusting , dirty towels , the tub was nasty , couldn't even shower , the pool was disgusting ,needed to be cleaned , looked like you could get extremely sick just by touching water. . The pool was full of sand etc . Shower curtain has black mold etc.

- Kade (7/5): Dirty room, rude staff, comfortable and convenient stay. - I liked the location and that it was right on the lake! The staff was super rude, the room was not clean at all. There was pee on the toilet and hair in the sink. The bed was made at LEAST. I didn’t even bother going to complain being as it took me an hour to be able to check in. The worker got frustrated that it was busy and just kept walking away. I get that people have bad days, we probably will end up staying again, it just wasn’t the best first experience.

It has the potential to be a great hotel, it just needs a lot of work done.

- Robin (8/5): - Considering a lot of the reviews I was actually pleasantly surprised. It was pretty clean. A bit outdated but everything in our room worked. The beach area was nice. The pool area could have had some lounge chairs. All in all it was a decent stay. BBQ was not cleaned out so my husband cleaned it really well after we used it. I do think they need more trash receptacles by the beach and near BBQ area so people won't throw garbage all over the ground .

- Tammy (8/5): - So I was there for a long weekend seeing my son. The room I had was dog friendly. It was clean but does need a up grade but I didn’t see any bugs or anything. So it was good. The breakfast is good if you like Carbs. The only other thing besides carbs was hard boiled egg. They could use some yogurt or something else. But the choice of Carbs was alot. ( bread , muffins , pancakes , English muffins , cereal, oatmeal. Bagels. ) The staff was very unhelpful when I arrived early. Wouldn’t even check to see if the room was ready. Now come on. You could have at least faked it. But after that encounter everything else was fine. They where not overly friendly but not rude as the first one So I would say it’s a decent place. Is it worth what I paid?. No I dont think so. But it’s a tourist town and it’s summer in Michigan. So everything is very expensive. But it was cheaper than the other bigger hotels around Maybe a non pet friendly room would be better. The halls and the there places where nice. I didn’t swim in the pool. But lots of people were. I didn’t go to the beach the weather was not good.

- Wheeler (4/5): - The location was excellent and the staff was great. Didn't realize that there were weekly renters living there. Smell was bad and the entire place is in bad need of rehab.

- Jamil (2/5): - This was the worse experience I have ever had. There was bedbugs on the pull out sofa. They wanted to give us another room we went and looked at it and it was even worse. The girl at the front desk was very rude and actually said I can’t do anything for you. She was not even welling to try.
