Male reception manager not pleasant. Didn’t even lift his head to say good morning. First night service extremely slow. Only one member of staff serving.

Lesley (10/5): Nice hotel with old world charm - Extremely comfortable bed - extraordinary mattress!! The room was decorated to a high, contemporary standard. Not so much "didn't like" but the unit beneath the tv, on which the tea/coffee tray was situated was quite tired looking, & marked in several places by stains on the wood. Considering the condition of everything else in Rm10, it was a shame this stood out as a bit old. The shower cubicle is a very tight space! Fortunately I'm 5ft & not too wide 😁 but an above guest might find it a struggle to use. Also, the liquid soap dispenser didn't work, so I had to use shampoo to wash with instead.

MacPhee (9/5): - Room lovely - nice decor, great design and spacious. Walls are a tad thin but not a massive issue. Breakfast great. French toast perfect. Simple stuff done well. Dinner the night before fresh and new. A little slower than you'd maybe want but we were extremely relaxed. Lovely log burner to sit beside too. .

Sonata (9/5): - Perfect location, good breakfast, tidy rooms, nice atmosphere. No proper mirror in the room. Also our room faced the courtyard and the big tarp/cover kept blowing in the wind and covering the whole garden and almost reaching our window.

The bar was fantastic everyone was really friendly. Comfy bed (shower was a little small but did the job) Only downfall was lack of parking but get there at the right time it was fine. Steve (1/5): Thought the place was a mess so moved onto Perth and stayed in a Premier Inn for less than half the price - Nothing The entrance and reception looked unkempt, the dining room attached was more like a canteen from the 60’s The room was dark with bird poo on the window Outside the front of the building a couple of youths were hanging around the main door, just across the road were six youths hanging about on motor scooters, not a very inviting location I expected much better accommodation when looking at the costs of the room, very over priced

Lily (10/5): - We ere plessantly durprised to find the hotel refurbished to a high standard. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast menu was extensive and good quality food. Dinner menu had plenty of choice and the food was 5 star. Prices good too. A variety of local shops nearby with a friendly community shop and a nice cafe in the square. We sre golfers so a perfect location for our favourite golf courses. We'll certainly be back but will book direct as this was much cheaper.

Magnus (10/5): - The hotel has been recently renovated. I loved our room, modern mixed with recycled older furniture. Staff were excellent. The food was amazing, our evening meal was absolutely delicious, I would definitely return just for the food. Breakfast was great too! Overall a fantastic stay and we would definitely return.

Les (10/5): Excellent hotel in a lovely village/ town. - We had a really nice room, it had a king size bed and was very tastefully decorated with a modern bathroom and walk in shower. Breakfast was freshly made and very nice. Would absolutely stay here again. Plenty of free on street parking and a big car park across from hotel. Alyth itself is really nice with lots of individual nice wee shops. Would recommend it.

The room and bathroom were tastefully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. For dinner, the dishes were of decent quality and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were young and attentive. I highly recommend this charming little hotel.
