• Cauchi (10/5): Warm, welcoming, friendly and very comfortable - A beautiful old pub set in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale. A warm welcome and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. A lovely double room with a very comfortable bed. Food was excellent and the ale quaffable. Great cooked breakfast with excellent local food. All in all a top place to stay Nothing to say as no complaints from us

• Albert (9/5): We found our stay very good staff were excellent however parking difficult carrying cases hard. - Breakfast very good no complaints,staff excellent very proficient, helpful courteous and friendly. Although not a complain just suggestions that would then put accomodation to excellent. It would be useful to have a small glass shelf above the taps in the bathroom to put bottles on eg. mouth wash contact lens solution ,liquid medicine . Door hanged no were to put outdoor coats .Larger bed side tables with more draws and cupboard adapted to accommodate hangers for clothing..What also detracted ,being elderly carrying cases etc. to the car was hard work. I appreciate that's out of your control However we would book this accomodation again.

Didn't like the shower, difficult to use. Breakfast was delayed as no chef so we went for a walk to kill some time, these things happen. Good service and attention though,
• Ian (9/5): Great place to stay in Kirkby Lonsdale - The bedroom were beautiful and spotless. Very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Lots of room for storage. Friendly bar and some excellent real ales Breakfast was delayed due to issue with the chef but it was resolved to our satisfaction.

• Samantha (9/5): Great stay, amazing staff, good food & lovely room. - Perfect location Staff were all friendly and extremely helpful Check in was easy Room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed Dog friendly and out girl was spoilt by staff We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was really good! Breakfast was also great, plenty of choice. It was a warm weekend and you can’t open the window. There was a fan but the room was still very very warm. Also, although breakfast was over all very good, the bacon had clearly been cooked and left for some time (even though we were first down for breakfast). Had it been fresh it would have been so much better.

• Amanda (10/5): Our comfortable cosy bolt hole - We’ve been here many times. We love it because it’s a comfortable bolt hole in a lovely village. We love walking the dog by the river after a lovely breakfast. Good access to some fabulous villages and the lakes. Will be back.
• Stephen (7/5): - The room was lovely I booked on a "pay at hotel" basis. This option was offered by booking.com and cost me extra. However the money was taken from my account several days before arrival. Booking.com said parking was available. This is not true. The communication between the hotel and booking.com is clearly very poor....but, the staff at the hotel didn't seem to care what was said on booking com. Very disappointing and very poor customer service all round.

The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of options. All the staff were friendly and happy to help whenever needed.

We had our evening meal there as well and the food was excellent. Service excellent from check in to service in the bar, breakfast and checking out. Toiletries in room quite basic but this didn't affect our stay at all. This was also outweighed by the selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room.

• Stewart (10/5): - We stayed for one night in this pub during a trip to Kirkby Lonsdale and absolutely loved it. The location is spot on, right in the heart of everything, and the room itself was done out really nicely with a very comfy bed. We opted for the half-board option and it was incredibly good value. My partner had the best rack of lamb they’ve ever had, and I had the best cottage pie — proper chunks of beef rather than mince, which made it feel extra special. The staff really made the stay. They were so friendly, and when we arrived early they happily offered to hold our bags and even put them in the room for us. They went one step further and hung my partner’s coat up in the wardrobe, which was such a thoughtful touch and really stood out. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be returning. Everything was perfect!

• Valerie (9/5): Brilliant stay as usual at The Red Dragon. The Council Just need to get the parking sorted. - Location very good. Breakfast really nice & lovely Sharon serving us. Could have done with brighter light in the bedroom. Couldn't see to put my make up on properly so had to go in the bathroom which was steamed up after my shower. Also parking was a real pain no 24 hour car parks. Had to dash on to car park before breakfast to put more money on. The Council are at fault not The Red Dragon.
