Great choice and very attentive staff. Beautiful setting, with gorgeous decor and our room was comfortable. Shout out to Cameron who was so kind to us when we arrived.

- Sharon (8/5): Enjoyable 3 day stay with all the amenities on site. - The location was perfect for our stay. The restaurant and bar were ideal being right on site. Separate entrance/exit for residents was good as it saved going through the restaurant. The shower in our room was very difficult to turn on and off, when we mentioned it to a staff member it was clear that they knew this already and due to the season had difficulties getting it repaired. it would have been better if they’d told us on arrival so we were prepared for it.
We were also expecting the bed to be made each day and supplies restocked, this didn’t impact on our stay though.
- James (10/5): Excellent value for money. - The property is beautiful and decorated very well. The staff are friendly and professional and the food in the restaurant was excellent value for money. It’s a little outside of Burnley but that’s how it should be for a farmhouse vibe like this. Still only 5 minutes from the centre in a taxi. Nothing
- Jade (8/5): Unfortunately due to hardness of pillows this is the only reason I wouldn’t return. - Food was lovely and room nice and clean, staff very friendly. Unfortunately the pillows and bed were very hard. Didn’t sleep too well.
- Lorraine (8/5): Good and convenient to travel bank into Burnley for a birthday celebration - Good food and accommodation Room overlooked roof outside
- Liam (10/5): Staff were very helpful and kind made me feel so comfortable and welcome -

- Sue (7/5): Super location.great staff - Location. Great staff. Bedroom was too hot. Only one pillow so poor sleep quality. Had to open window to cool room but then kept awake by outside traffic. Lovely breakfast in morning however took 50 minutes
- Hannah (8/5): -
- Emma (10/5): I’d stay again in a heartbeat. - The room was beautiful, so reasonable and check-in was effortless.
- Keetlaer (7/5): -
- Ann Lynne (10/5): Highly recommend - Staff attentive and professional, though they were very busy. Service prompt and friendly. Room elegant and comfortable. Breakfast fresh, generous and delicious. Nothing!
- Sarah (10/5): - First time visiting the area and what a absolute gem of a find this hotel was.
Lovely warm welcome as soon as we stepped foot through the doors, we arrived earlier than planned but our room was ready made up and we were able to check in without fuss.
Bedrooms are beautiful, we stayed in room one with a gorgeous stone wall and a real rustic warm feeling to the room.
Room was immaculate, fluffy towels, extra pillows and a hair dryer all provided.
Stunning location.
Breakfast was outstanding, staff very attentive and knowledgeable about local legends/places to visit, we were made to feel so welcome. We will 100% be booking again.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff that made our Halloween weekend one to remember 🎃 There was nothing we didnt like.

- Nichola (10/5): Beautiful stay - The room was lovely and bed was comfy. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was really nice to There was a lot of cobwebs on the ceiling but apart from that, the room was really clean.
- Joshua Kieran (10/5): Nice ideal hotel food was super! - Nice and friendly staff
- Justin (9/5): -
- Laura (10/5): Very pleased with the comfortable room; well presented and safe. The staff were lovely and helpful too. - It was very relaxed, incredibly clean and well decorated. I felt very comfortable in my room My room was right next to the road which was busy until late and then again early in the morning which was the only tiny negative
- Kimberley (7/5): Break away with food. - Great staff and food. Plenty of parking. The staircase was very steep. The curtains need some TLC.
- Paul (10/5): -
- Sargeant (8/5): - We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and were given all of the information about our stay. Our room was lovely. Clean comfortable and warm. Bathroom was also lovely and clean. Food was also very good in the bar. Breakfast was gorgeous.
We are looking to booking again in the near future.
- Gianfranco (9/5): Great place, lovely rooms, lovely staff - the staff were helpful and really friendly nothing
- Carole (8/5): A nice little hotel. - We were greeted by a lovely young woman (I didn’t get her name but she had lovely brown curly hair) who checked us in. I had requested a low floor room due to mobility issues but I don’t think this had been actioned as she looked at my walking stick and asked if I would like a ground floor room, and then checked which rooms were ready and switched us to that one. The room was adequate, if a little tired. With a little maintenance it could be lovely again, just a few things that let it down. It was by the main road though opposite a car park which seemed to be a gathering spot for petrol heads who sat in their cars revving up etc. We were a little worried this would go on till late in the night but it settled down quite early so we were thankful for that. We ate in the restaurant at the hotel and found the staff, service and food to be absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the setting of the restaurant is lovely. The blonde haired lady (possibly the manager) was lovely to our dog and sorted out a billing issue for me the next day. All in all a nice one night stop over and we would return. I would just urge the company that owns these properties to carry on investing in them as I find so many are just running them on a shoestring and not caring about the customer experience anymore. Keep up the good work forest to keep it the lovely place it is.
- paul (9/5): Nice place, nice location friendly stafff -
- Emma (10/5): Relaxing overnight stay. - Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and tidy and the food was lovely (we had the wood fired pizza).
For a cheap night away, this is the perfect option.
- Josephine (8/5): We loved it the weather was dreadful but we will definitely return in spring/summer next year - The staff were wonderful great welcome kind and helpful
Great breakfast good choice and well cooked
Only suggestion would like a bigger bed but the bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfy Slightly bigger bed
- Diane (9/5): Good value for money, very pleasant staff . Amazing cooked breakfast. Happy to recommend and we will definately be back - Semi rural location . Easy access to, plenty parking , good outdoor space for dogs and children, great access to walking routes . Tidy surroundings . Fantastic cooked breakfast and coffee. No cereals but we don't eat them anyway. Honestly the warm food was wholesome and healthier than cereals !!!! Bed too small for us although for one night we still managed to sleep moderately ok as it was comfortable

- Ross (10/5): Amazing staff, fantastic food and a homely feel - We have just had a wonderful stop at Forest. The rooms were comfortable, cosy, and well decorated. Check-in was straight forward, and all of the staff were friendly and accommodating.
It's a really lovely pub to spend some time in. We had both dinner and breakfast here. Both involved ample portions of great hearty grub with friendly service.
Thanks for a great stay. We certainly hope to return.
- Angela (10/5): The lady who showed us round and looked after us was excellent. She was friendly and answered all our questions and orde - Lovely clean and very friendly staff food was excellent Nothing
- Natalie (9/5): Sweet and comfortable - Beautiful property in the middle of the countryside. Our bedroom was perfect, spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and super accommodating, we would certainly stay again.
- Beth (10/5): Cute, cosy stay. - Staff welcoming, we was shown to our room right away and informed of anything that we needed to know. We had a lovely evening meal, the food was fresh and delicious. We had drinks at the bar later on, the atmosphere was relaxing, and we just thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
The room itself is clean, comfortable, and cosy.
The bed was comfortable. Little touches like coffee/tea, biscuits, and bathroom products smell incredible, I kept using the lotion and also showered with the shower cream.
Thank you for a lovely stay, we will return. There is nothing that we didn't like.
- Samantha (10/5): Perfect in every way - Extremely clean and the staff was more than welcoming.
- Coulton (10/5): -
- Mick (5/5): I won’t be staying again. - Location. Beer priced at a ridiculous £6.50 a pint! Full English Breakfast was £12.50 but got charged over £20 because coffee was extra. Room was clean but very basic.
- Sharon (10/5): - Lovely place, great staff, fantastic food. We will be back.
- Andrew (6/5): -
- Joyce (9/5): Lovely short break. Would come again. - Fabulous old building and lovely atmosphere in pub with great food too. Staff were professional and helpful. Room was spacious and well decorated. Great shower! Only small things like beds and pillows were quite hard and no hair dryer in the room but wouldn’t prevent us staying again.
- katie (10/5): -
- Quinzi (8/5): -
- Valerie (9/5): Just right - Lovely location great staff good value for money Nothing
- Jonathan (8/5): - Breakfast choice was from a menu. What I chose was very nice but I would have liked a simple option of eg cereal and fruit as well.
- Craig (1/5): Such an uncomfortable bed we left at 4am and returned home - Awful bed The bed we left at 4am to come home
- Marta (3/5): Sleepless night - The staff was lovely and accommodating I hate to leave a bad review but I barely slept all night and I feel like I wasted my money, I would not recommend the place for a good night rest.
The room was overlooking a road that had cars driving even at night, the window was practically on the road and there was a metal rack outside that was hit every so often by a car, I had to close the window and then it was very hot. No fan provided.
But what was actually worse was how much you can hear the other rooms, the room upstairs didn’t go to sleep until 4am and so I couldn’t either, loud bangs all night, I could hear their steps and their voices.
Though the main problem was the noise, I do not think the room is worth the money due to other aspects also: we had no pillowcases, the curtains were all broken at the bottom and there was some paint missing in some of the walls.
Overall a very disappointing stay, I do not blame the staff as they were very nice.
- David (10/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - Lovely staff and fabulous food. There was no draft ale available so the hubby wasn't happy. 😆
- Blackburn (9/5): Our regular hotel - We stay here regularly. The rooms are always clean and comfy. Staff are always helpful. Can’t fault it. N/a
- Davison (3/5): - Food downstairs from hotel was ideal Shower broken room 5
No iron
Booked on booking.com come to leave from my stay and was given a hidden charge.
Hot night so had to have window open car park opposite had cars turning up all through the night with people meeting up looking very suspicious will leave that to your imagination
Room overpriced
Told over phone could get cheaper breakfast after phonecall before stay and charged full price on morning
- Annie (10/5): -
- Paula (10/5): - Hotel clean and friendly nice Location. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious
- Natalie (10/5): Perfect - Fantastic stay so warm & welcoming
- Paul S (8/5): A relaxing stay with a comfortable room and well cooked food, thank you. - A good breakfast although we had not noticed that the cost was extra. Service a little slow at times but polite and pleasant staff.
- Tink87 (10/5): -
- andy (4/5): - Close to where I had to be There for 3 night didn’t have towels changed
No coffee added when used
And the drain outside the window made a huge noise every time a car went over it
- steven (9/5): -
- Kirby (9/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Neil (4/5): - No hairdryer in the room and Ryne room wasn’t serviced during the two nights I was there
- Poppy (10/5): Perfect - Friendly staff, amazing food and drinks and a very nice clean room !
- Colin (10/5): Nice pub - Nice pub with rooms
- Diane (8/5): - Convenient location and parking. Restaurant and bar. Comfortable bed. Helpful, friendly staff. Our ground floor room was very close to the road so earplugs were necessary. The weather was wet during our stay but there was nowhere to hang wet raincoats in our room. The wooden door to our bathroom had warped and was difficult to close. There was a strong smell of stagnant water in the corridor outside of our room .
- Helen (7/5): Worth a visit - Friendly, attentive and helpful staff
Comfortable accommodation and smart interior decor.
Loved the country surroundings.
In the bathroom the hot water was really hot which was very good. Our bedroom overlooked a fairly busy road and the cars made a noise over a grating.
- Lawton (10/5): -
- Julie (8/5): -
- Broadcasting (9/5): Quality - Quality venue short journey into town centre should you need to transit into Burnley, Special shoutout the the lady who was working during my stay on the 27th May.
Very welcoming, polite & clearly conducts herself in the same manner daily due to her rapport with local patrons.
Food menu was quality & fairly priced.
Will 100% be staying again should I have to stay again for work, will also be recommending this to my colleagues should Burnley be relegated next year!
- Mandy (9/5): Great spot to stay when visiting a friend in the nearby village - Decor, comfort, location
- Paul (6/5): Nice property but problem with water was disappointing - The property was very nice, we have stayed here before, food is lovely. On the morning of our departure there was no water at all, we couldn’t get washed, have a shower, flush the toilet or get anything to drink. We weren’t offered any apology or recompense.
- Farzana (8/5): -
- Steven (8/5): -
- Martin (5/5): Poor. I wish I had chosen elsewhere. - Un hoovered carpet, Thick dust everywhere, soap dispenser in the shower not working, make up soiled towels and noisy traffic. Staff were pleasant especially Beth and Hope. When I rang to book I spoke to a male. He asked me if I would like to book a table for an evening meal. I said yes for one person. He laughed and I said I am a widower as I had lost my wife 2 years ago. He laughed again and I asked him if he knew what a widower means. He didn't answer so I let it be but I was angry.
- Matt (9/5): 100% will use again - Really nice and friendly place with great food and staff
- David Hunter (10/5): - The staff were amazing.
- Gavin (5/5): -
- Adam (5/5): Lovely but for the unfortunate smell. - Everything was great, especially the staff and the food and drinks. Unfortunately there was a terrible smell which seemed to be coming from leaking sewage pipes. This could be smelled at the foot of the stairs leading up to the guests’ rooms and in the bathroom adjacent to our room. This problem was not mentioned by the staff.
- Gary (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely place will definitely be back. N/a
- Joshua (10/5): -
- Tracy (8/5): Good standard, lovely food. - Lovely staff, very friendly. Had dinner and breakfast at the location, and both were very good quality. Enjoyed our stay and would stop again if in the area.
- Maeve (7/5): Great room, poor breakfast experience - The room was great. The experience was let down by breakfast. Kitchen opened late, kitchen staff discussion could be heard across the dining area and it didn’t sound good tempered. Given there were only 3 people waiting for breakfasts, it was very slow and my husband had to chase his order.
