Guest Reviews
- Rosalyn (6/5): - Dog friendly. Reasonable price.
Remote didn't work. Was told by the office to key in actual numbers, not scan. But we had no directory to know what the channels were. Bathroom ceiling was soft, patched with a board-possibly from the showerhead that sprayed upwards at the connection
- Paige (8/5): - Decent place for the money spent. Carpet is old and soiled and interior is out of date. But the room was clean.
- RCMoeur (8/5): Heckuva Holiday - We visited here on our Big 2019 Road Trip. We like staying at mom n' pop motels, so this one looked promising, and the parking at the room is very convenient. We got a spacious three-bed room for a very reasonable price, with a full-size refrigerator and freezer great for chilling our food. The ceiling fan helped keep the room comfortable in the Oklahoma heat. Our son loved cooling off in the clear blue swimming pool, and meeting the little hopping frogs in the parking lot. Only minor issue was we discovered the room was a smoking room after check-in - it initially had no odor, but overnight we noticed a bit (but still not too bad).
- david (8/5): - I would recommend it to anyone.
- Judi Arndt (6/5): Okay, but - Well the bed was not very comfortable. The sheets were stained; the comforters had big holes in them that looked like burn marks but it was a non-smoking room. The floors were dirty; the shower curtain was at least 6 inches too long which made the shower appear to be dirty. The light switches in the bathroom were across from the door which opened into the main room which was inconvenient. And the bathroom didn't have a ventilator fan which made it steam up and get very warm -- you had to open the door to let air in, which meant no privacy.
- MIke (6/5): Good economy hotel, but not a 4.5 hotel. - This is an old hotel that has been repainted, but still has old furniture, the faucet in the bathtub leaked constantly, and the electrical outlets were so loose that the plugs would not stay in the outlet when you plugged your computer or phone charger into it. The problems were reported twice before checking out and again at check out. Nothing was done to correct the problems before we departed except the replacement of a light bulk for the bedside lamp. We also found dead bugs around the bottom of the beds when we were preparing to leave. The staff was very friendly and the room was made up each day and the price of the room was much less than the other hotels in town, but the online rating for this hotel was 4.5. It should be rated no higher in my opinion than a 3.
- Mark (10/5): Very good Hotel - This Hotel is one of the best I have stay in for the money. The rooms are big and the bed was very good.
- eric (10/5): Very nice people will stay again - Cost was less than expected and they gave us suggestions of where to eat when we got there. Very helpful
- Z9772JUjamesh (10/5): Holiday Motel - My room was clean and comfortable.
Good wifi and a lot of channels on flat screen TV.
Refrigerator and microwave in room.
24 hour convenience store next door
Walmart within walking distance of motel
Plenty of parking
- jeannett ewing (10/5): this is a great motel for the price - The beds are very very comfortable the help was very nice very helpful the owner help me pack all my stuff up the stairs and then when I was leaving helped me bring all my baggage back down the stairs cleaned off my car of all the snow because it had snowed the previous night and make sure that the stairs had been salted the parking lot had been cleaned off by 10 o'clock by the time we had to go to the funeral this was a very enjoyable stay at this motel I would highly suggest this motel to anyone .
- 1967sharonw (10/5): Great stay - This place is our "home away from home".. When we lose power or water at home this is where we stay.. We love it.. The rooms are fresh and clean, the staff is always friendly.. They are a wonderful family owned motel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a very clean, comfortable facility at an inexpensive cost. Though it doesn't include a breakfast, it is near many eating establishments.
- Angela (10/5): Bjcc visits - Smells clean well kept comfy bef
- Verified traveler (10/5): The bed is huge and smelled so clean it was amazin - Front desk is awesome she was very sweet and knew where everything was located in town.
- Connie (8/5): Nice hotel. Room was large and comfortable! - Friend said room bigger than Holiday Inn Express. Comfortable and clean and reasonably priced.
- Jeffery (10/5): Wow - Awesome! Very friendly staff.
- AlfaGator (10/5): Wow, what a terrific surprise! - We arrived in Alva hoping to find a place to spend the night. What we found was this great family-owned motel with charming features galore. An immaculate pool. A volley ball court on perfectly groomed grass. An excellent basketball court. A perfectly cleaned and fitted room with a super comfy bed. And an actual family member running the front desk. They have taken a typical looking roadside motel and turned it into a charming place. We were surprised and delighted.... I think you will be, too.
- X4773CXdianer (8/5): holiday hotel goes extra mile - we were traveling on route 60 going east and came across this little hotel that had a old school charm. And then we were blessed to meet the wonderful lady running this little gem , the room was extremely clean and old fashioned. She was absolutely a
gem to get to know . the price of the room was reasonable we enjoyed our stay here
- marksE8026XK (6/5): Review - I have stayed a this motel twice in the past few months, clean rooms and friendly employees and good rates. Need to call ahead several weeks in advance to book a room. Popular with oil field personnel and truckers.
- 965timh (6/5): Holiday - fit the occasion - I'm a truck driver whose load was to deliver on Monday, July 7 (after the holiday weekend). I arrived in Alva, OK on Saturday, July 5 - two days ahead of schedule. My guess is that you could perhaps find a nicer place to stay, if money isn't an object, but $52.00 was well-spent for a clean, quiet room, conveniently located (<1/4 mi. from Wal-Mart) at intersection of US-64 and US-281. For me, it was especially convenient because there is room for truck/RV parking. Rooms have cable TV/HBO, fridge/microwave, and TVs are nice flat screens! Comfy beds, and great water pressure in shower! Basketball goals and volleyball area, too! Outdoor swimming pool, but was empty on 4th of July weekend, for some reason, but city pool was open. l Had to spend the holiday, so Holiday was a perfect fit for me. Could easily stay again.
