- Carlie (10/5): - We stayed here in March and it was very quiet. I didn’t realize when I booked it that the bar/restaurant was closed early in the week. We stayed Tuesday-Thursday, and I believe the restaurant opened up on Thursday or Friday evening. Overall, a nice place to go relax with your family and friends. We were there on business and there was no where to go to work on my laptop, so had to drive into a coffee shop in Nisswa. Also, there was no where in our room to work either.

And i get they been remodeling. But maybe dont rent out a room thats dirty, bare and just not a relaxing place that was expected for the money. - Verified traveler (10/5): Birthday Weekend on Gull Lake - The Quarterdeck is a lovely resort. Very new and modern, great bar and restaurant, and live music Sat. night was amazing too. Our room was spotless and amazing. The outdoor pool and hot tube open year-round with sauna was fabulous! We asked if they would get 2 bikes out for our overly nice March weekend, and they did! We would definitely stay there again, planning our next visit already.

- Daryl (6/5): - So.....from the outside the property is gorgeous! We thought it was a new build, however, it clearly is not! Our room (125) was NOT new in any way shape or form. There were lights that didn't work, TV was blurry, it was definitely stuck in the 80's. The shower had 4 inches of water in it when I got out, triangular hot tub in the corner didn't function, nice rock fireplace that didn't work, and it was a very foggy and chilly morning so the fireplace would have been nice! They clearly have done a TON of work on the resort and its still being worked on but the inside of our room was not new, and that's what I thought I was paying for!

- Brad (6/5): - Easy and friendly check in. The resort is easy to navigate as it is small and quaint. Beautiful view of the lake. Steak dinner was delicious and drinks at fire table were delicious. Just a few issues that I would like to address ..as this place is not cheap to stay at. $1500 Canadian for 3 nights. First ..for cleanliness ..I would give our room a 4/10. Floors were not cleaned. Appliances were sweat wipes not polished. Garbage in between fridge and stove. Garbage can not wiped clean. Couch and lamp shades are stained. Patio doors and sills need to be washed. Stained coffee cups. No daily service is included ..like fresh linens etc. No one comes to check on you to see if all is good. Also, the patio door does not lock. Invest in some Clorox for the sinks ..to get some fresh smell into the room. Thanks.

- David (6/5): - The room was nice, it was very clean. However, no regular cream for coffee, nor any coffee other than decaf. No information packet about checkout procedures, etc. The food was meh. It came out in under 5 minutes, so, you know it wasn't actually cooked, probably just nuked. $17 for plate of nachos and it had some processed cheese sauce. It had some good points, fresh veggies, some real melted cheese, etc. Also, had the prime rib dip. Was meh too. The au jus was almost flavorless. Nothing to write home about. The Also, wasn't impressed with plastic glasses. The dessert now was another story, very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay, simply expected a bit more from a place like that. Maybe our expectations were off as the place gets great ratings.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Beautiful view but loud restaurant music. - View of lake from room was great. However, the restaurant was right below and loud music was played during afternoon until 9 or 10 at night. Loud restaurant clients were also easy to hear. One night they turned down the music, which was nice but not exactly the quiet retreat that my wife and I were hoping for. There was no extra toilet paper stored in the room - a basic perk you would hope for in a hotel. Kayaks and paddle boards were free to use and were lots of fun. Beach was small and most parts angled so much that any chair was uncomfortable. I would definitely bring a beach lounge chair if you want to relax because their beach lounge chairs were uncomfortable. Note that if you are going to bike on the awesome Paul Bunyan trail nearby, the hotel has cheaper bike rentals than rental shop in Nisswa. Overall the resort was nice and food was good but next time I plan to look elsewhere in the area for a resort that doesn’t have a restaurant below the rooms.
- David (6/5): - My Biggest complaint was that there was no breakfast available. They had a freezer with options that you could microwave but all the breakfast options were gone, and they were never replenished the whole time we were there. There was a brunch menu in our room. When we went to check out the brunch, everything was closed down and we were told they don't do brunch anymore and those menus were supposed to be removed from the room. There were good breakfast options nearby. Other than that, we were satisfied with our stay.

Restaurant/bar located on the property served very good food. Couple things we didn’t like: the restaurant/bar was just underneath us on the lower level so we heard a lot of loud noise at night when we were trying to go to sleep (around 11:00 PM). Also there was no table in the room, I suspect because the whirlpool tub was in the corner where it would have gone. But it meant we had to eat sitting in bed. Also, the room needed another lamp somewhere on the side by the patio door. That side of the room, where the tub sits, is dark.

Miss informed on when the restaurant and bar closed. And the front desk. Make sure if you reserve a room with a hot tub that it is one with one. I reserved on with the picture of the room I was reserving and it had a hot tub but I guess it did not. Otherwise I was a good experience.
