Minh (8/5): Tạm được - Bãi đỗ xe, vị trí , việc hoàn tiền phòng khi khách có việc bận đột xuất. Khu vệ sinh có mùi cống, khi tắm nước làm ướt toàn bộ phòng vệ sinh, ăn sáng rất ít đồ để lựa chọn.

Paul (1/5): Awful should have been told 700 rooms we were the only ones stayed 2 nights never again ! - Yin one very special person made the difference . Building 24 hours noise could not sleep please don’t use this hotel but all the bay being renovated keep away for 2 year min

Colin (5/5): In serious need of a refurbishment - Hanna was extremely helpful in organising our transport to and from the Island and she also booked us on a boat trip which was superb. Our room was very dated and felt dirty. Housekeeping had done a poor job of cleaning the floor in the room and also the bathroom basin after the previous guest. The shower was over a bath and the bath would move while standing in it. There was no bedding - only sheets. The breakfast was uninviting, even an omelette was tasteless.

Rajesh (1/5): Bad - Location Will never recommend this place. When we reached, there was no staff, only receptionist who did not understand English. No water in bathroom for almost 2 hours, not even in WC, took multiple complaints to get it fixed, at 5 in the evening, restaurant was closed already. Lock of bathroom was broken so door could not be closed, one has to become bathroom singer unless staying alone. Chair in balcony was broken, my son did see and fell off of it Understaffed place with things not working and no one to fix them. Please think before making a reservation here.

Matyas (4/5): No wifi, no coffee, no english knowledge - Nice view from the balcony. The room had full equipment. Only 1 person spoke english. It was unbelivable. The hotel had not even a coffee in the lobby. They haven't heared about rum. The bed and bathroom was clean, but the walls were extremely dirty. The hotel has no beach at all, its not true in the description. Wifi was very poor. If there is any hance that you have to work or do send anything important, dont chose this hotel. The breakfast fast only until 9:00 am, i find it a bit early. The beakfast was ok, not too good.
Sonya (2/5): Very poor - Decent location Beds were really uncomfortable, people were screaming in the hall late at night and early in the morning so our sleep sucked, it smelled musty in the room and be couldn’t open the door/window to get air in because we were closed in by rocks. Bad value for money.

The location is very good and we had really nice views of the bay from our bedroom. There is no curtain in the shower/bath. Our shower/bath was blocked with hairs. The hotel needs a full renovation, the photos in Booking don't reflect the real condition of the hotel.

Toni (6/5): Disappointing - It was in a nice quiet location but the hotel is very tired and things are starting to fail. Hanna was lovely and very helpful but she is the only one who spoke English Breakfast was varied but mostly cold. Even after mentioning the things that were broken, they weren’t fixed, luckily we were only there for 2 nights.
Viviana (7/5): Unmatchable views. Awful bathroom. - The service, the location and the wonderful room view is unmatchable. Breakfast was good: we were offered option when we checked in and w got what we chose. We booked our boat trip at the reception. Hanna was very kind and helped us for this and also provided tips. The room does not have a safe but they offer the one at the reception if you would like to leave valuables. This hotel could be wonderful if it had a proper shower. The shower it has is inconveniently located in the middle of the bathroom without any glass or wall preventing the water making everything wet when you take a shower. It is just hard to understand why this is like this (picture attached).
Sylvia (5/5): Passable - Hanna was amazing, she went above and beyond. She was very helpful and friendly, she had arranged the early check in for us, which was extremely helpful for us, as we had arrived with night bus to Cat Ba. She offered to change the room for us, as the first one was not up to the standards which one would expect in 3* hotel. Views over the La Han Bay were great, pity that the hotel of that size doesn't have that much budget for the upkeep as all is very outdated and really requires lots of touch up. As above, rooms and furniture wasn't that clean and it was quite old.

Nicola (10/5): Best sunset view in town in - The view from the bedroom was stunning. The room was large, bathroom good, everything was very clean and fresh. The hotel is at the end of the main town so very quiet from passing traffic but only a few minutes walk along an excellent wide seafront promenade from the main restaurants and bars. We were on the 7th floor so maximised view and peace. Hannah has excellent English and organized a taxi for our hike in the national park and a good limo bus/ferry to Nimh Binh at a good price. She also sorted a minor problem with the room key switch and an electrician arrived within minutes and replaced with a new unit immediately..a level of efficiency we had not met before! All good
Ailish (8/5): Very good - Lovely staff. Big room and nice balcony. A bit out of the main town but an easy walk to restaurants. Very quiet. Great views. Bathroom had a really bad smell that came through to the bedroom. Laundry prices are very high but we just went somewhere in town instead.
Susan (7/5): Beautifully situated hotel on the coast with great staff, basic breakfast. - The hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the water. Each room has a balcony to enjoy the view. Hanna at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and kind. It was good value for the money. The hotel was largely empty, perhaps due to the season. It meant that breakfast was extremely limited. The hotel seemed more like a place for conferences or groups rather than a laid-back vacation spot.

They said of course and showed me two rooms, then let me pick which one (both had a gorgeous view!) Sheets, shower and floor were all very clean. They were very nice and accommodating to us. It was a great stay!

Thank you Hana at the front desk for your welcome and arranging the local bus from the hotel to Cat Ba National Park for a day hike on our own! Gregory (6/5): Perfectly ok but no more than that - Hotel is under booked and so under staffed - like a ghost ship The staff that are there seem uninterested in service and , humorously, don't know how to work the toaster. Breakfast was passable at best. Possibly caters for Chinese tours as there was no sense of individual service. Room was fine, great view of the harbour and the sunset. Location is good as it's a little walk past the town (so quiet) and near the small beaches. Sadly the small beaches are having large hotels built on them so they will lose their charm soon. Catba harbour town is fun for a few days - food not great but locals very friendly and prices are low. Next time i would book something with character eg bungalows.
Yuri (2/5): $70/night is rip off - This is an ok hotel, outdated, unfixed, and poorly maintained. If this was $20/night, I would have little complain. But, other than nice location and great look of an old building, everything else was disappointing. I would not blame staff, they were nice. But, I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel.
Kimberly (4/5): Great view, but awful beds and service - The beds were hard as a rock. I am pretty sure they were just box springs with a sheet on top. The elevators often didn't work, and we were even trapped in one for 5 minutes, before it began moving again. The views were really nice, but most places in Cat Ba would have good views. The staff was not very friendly and the breakfast was awful. It was a cheap rate though, so I guess you get what you pay for!
C.T (4/5): Okay - Hung long harbour was an okay experience. The view was awesome, the room okay but very smelly bathroom. Breakfast wasn't great and staff spoke very little English. Just a very average experience.
