Guest Reviews
- Daniel (6/5): - I rented 3 rooms for me and my adult kids while we stayed 1 night. 1 of the rooms was good the others were not. 1 the smell was very potent, like your grandfather's backroom where he smoked his pipe ALL day!! The beds were solid.. as a rock. The other one was a little smelly as well but not as bad.. bed was the same by the way in all 3. The staff was great thou.. Thanks but wouldn't go there again.
- PENNY (10/5): - Check in with Ruby was very pleasant. I called before we
arrived and she was very pleasant on the phone, too. I told
my husband how sweet she was. She had a very happy voice and a blessing to deal with on the phone and in person. The place was close to a lot of things and the hotel was very comfortable.
- Isabel (2/5): - No 24hr front desk service. At 12AM the key room door didn't work. Had to call the assistant and asked me $25 in cash to solve the problem. What a shame!
- T9844KAjohnnyr (2/5): Drugs, roaches, and pot smell in the building. - When I first came into the parking lot on day one, my instincts immediately told me something was off. This feeling was enhanced by the fact there was a group of people congregating near the back entrance looking shady and something was being passed around.
I went inside to checking and the staff was nice enough, was told the one of the water heaters was out, so cold showers it was. Was escorted to my room, when the first door was opened the smell of marijuana saturated the air as I was informed there was no smoking in the rooms. Get to my room, attendant left. That night the smell of pot hung heavy in the air. Lights cut off to go and I head to bed. During the night I felt something crawling on me, turn the light on and several roaches scatter from my bed! I get up, look around and find several roaches and a roach motel hidden beside of the fridge.
DO NOT STAY there, roach problem, drugs in and outside the building, people load outside at all hours of the night.
- randallr821 (4/5): Bad place - Yeah I was paying by month 12hundred dollars month n had already stayed 3months n the maintenance man there drinks on job n hardly works the lady's at desk are very rude n the manager living there is absolutely not manager material there's a Lotta dope being sold there the employees use drugs they went to my room and placed stuff in my room n I had already paid for another month n was kicked out n didn't receive any of my money back from the recent twelve hundred dollars I had paid
- dianehW4787HU (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - $25 rekey money scam and terrible service - If I could give negative stars I would. Service is awful there is never anyone in the office I fail to understand how they can even rent rooms this way they have a key scam also I went to smoke I checked my key worked before I went down it didn’t work when I tried to come back up - NO IT wasn’t near keys or magnets and this happened 5 times in two days Someone is putting a lot of $25 fees in their pocket
- tronb2018 (2/5): They suck - They suck, they really really suck....
I had to wait ten/10 hours in the lobby to check in......
A guy that I that talked to tried to get $25 cash not card BC card will leave a paper trial BC I'm pretty sure it illegal , to charge money for a room that's already paid for....
Service sucks.....
- B5589SZjamesh (10/5): Great staff and great stay - This place was our home for 3months and everyone was great. The staff was very helpful in everyway. They will go out of their way to help and make your stay great. They keep it clean and don't have trouble.
- STEVEY123 (8/5): Very good stay at Stay Lodge (Formerly Hospitality Studios of Thomasville) - The management of Stay Lodge is excellent. Every item that needed to be addressed was done promptly and efficiently. I enjoyed getting to know each manager and support person.
The renters were also very friendly and accomodating.
Though the property is not brand new, it is maintained very well.
And the fees are quite reasonable.
It was a pleasure to stay for a week.
I look forward to being with this management/support team on my next visit to Thomasville.
Thanks so much for making me feel at home!!!
- korgman68 (2/5): Ok For a Budget - I stayed here for quite some time while house shopping. They have since changed the name to Stay Lodge. The room was ok but the walls are thin and you can hear people talking in the adjacent rooms plus the other noises people do in hotel rooms. For some reason, people like to fight and argue here. I heard people cursing out in the parking lot quite frequently or in the rooms nearby. The person above me liked to stomp around her room and yell "F" bombs. The laundry was horrible but has since been upgraded. There are Section 8 families I think being boarded here and their kids run up and down the hallls with no respect at hall hollering and screaming. They turned the floor I was on into a playground. There is no after hours manager so if you get locked out you have to pay a $25 dollar fee to get back in your room. The water pipes burst one night downstairs and the fire department was called. The bottom floor was flooded and they turned my water off several times while fixing the pipes. Didn't even offer a discount or anything for the trouble. Every now and then they would turn off the WiFi to kick people off of it cause I was told a few people there were hogging the bandwidth. Honestly, there were a of trashy people here in all forms but that's what you get in a cheap hotel. People come and go here so your experience might be better or worse. It looks like they are trying to improve somewhat but if your gonna house Section 8 people for long periods of time BEWARE. Glad I am gone. It might be ok for a couple of days but you would be better off spending more money and getting away from the riff raff.
- 621sheritab (4/5): Get what you pay for. . . . - I recently spent and extended period of time in this establishment due to unfortunate personal circumstance. A lot of people apparently live there. While it is not the worst place one could end up, you certainly get service that mirrors the 'low rent' price. Something always seems to be in a state of disrepair. There never seemed to be any urgency to needed repairs whether they be the perpetually broken washers/dryers (6 months I was there, over half of both were broken) or the repeatedly broken elevator buttons. This would seem to be a newer building, but it is already in need of many repairs. Not sure if that's poor craftsmanship or due to repairs not being completed in a timely manner.
There is a roach probelm that didn't seem to ever be addressed and the cleaning staff, many times, left much to be desired. The front desk seems to be where the buck stops so if you can't get that guy to resolve your issues, there's not much apparent recourse. There is no suggestion box or even anything that tells who the manager is or how to reach them.
All in all, if you need somewhere to be this will suffice, but YOU WILL NOT GET HILTON TREATMENT.
- TEDDYBEARLADY (10/5): "Wonderful Weekend" - I stayed here for a couple of nights with my husband. It was right off the interstate. There were all kinds of eating/shopping places right there at the place. There were a few of them within walking distance. The check in was fast and easy. The young gentleman at the front desk, Marshall, was very nice and pleasant. He said if we needed anything he would be more than happy to help. The place was surprisingly quite for a place that big. It was nice to see the police drive thru the parking lot. We were told that they do that as a courteous check. We have places close to where we stay, that the police don't want to even drive thru. We will make sure that we stay here the next time we come this way.
- TravelNurseDude1 (4/5): Not impressed. - I decided to stay here because I was on an extended stay in Thomasville for work. I have to say the only part of this that was pleasant was the check in process. Other wise not impressed. it was loud. If you stay here you have to provide your own dishes for cooking, and eating. There is a full size refridgerator and the shower is nice and tall. However the bed is small. There was not a way to indicate that I did not want to be disturbed ( no door tag). The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for no reason.
BEWARE. They advertise 169/wk plus tax for a room. What they dont tell you in the fine print until you get there is that they also charge a 100 security deposit, the first week. Also if you buy a room there, make sure you need it for more than a few days because you are buying 7days.
No clothes hangers. They do provide a small bottle of shampoo and a small body soap bar as well as linens. This is it. Any other essentials you have to buy them if you are staying for an extended period of time.
I travel for work and have stayed at extended stay places before. This place is clean, the staff is friendly, but beware that it is a minimalistic hotel.. and more serves as a per weekly apartment complex.
- AHFLATTOP (10/5): Great room, great location, awesome customer service. - My wife and I stayed here for two nights and we were very impressed. The room was big and very clean. It was very convenient being next to the interstate. The customer service couldn't have been any better. The man at the front desk (Marshall) was very professional and went out of his way to insure we had a good stay. We will be back!!!
- dmaner (10/5): Great customer service and you cannot find a better deal anywhere! - We stayed one week. Everyone on staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and even though this is a very basic hotel, they had everything we needed for a safe, comfortable, quiet very cost effective stay. Thank you to Chris and his staff! We highly recommend this location and if ever in Thomasville again we will stay with them again.
- lovestootravelgirl (2/5): awful... - We had a room reserved and when we got there at 5:30pm we were told that no rooms were ready (cleaned) yet and it would be a little while. The man at the front desk (Marshall) was extremely rude and disrespectful to my father. There Was two burners and no pots/pans, nothing to cook on them with. The only toilet paper was the one on the roll. Over half the channels on the TV was fuzzy. Not even a small coffee pot. Beds were small and hard as a rock. Horrible experience.... if you want friendly service don't stay here. I will be calling their Raleigh office Monday or the Thomasville location until I speak to a manager.
