- Robin (10/5): - Unique place with a convenient location. Right outside of Wintergreen resort entrance and easy to get to Blue ridge parkway. Will is a master carpenter and the detailed wood work is just out of the ordinary. Very tasteful decorations and details on the stained glasses by Lilia. Rooms has high ceilings and are very well lighted. Come and smell the fresh mountain air for yourself for your next retreat!!

- marie (6/5): - The property was unique. From the front it doesn't look like much but the inside and back had beautiful views. The room was okay but, probably overpriced for the atomosphere. We did order at a great pizza place that delivered. The owners were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was okay not great so, I would probably go somewhere else before paying for it there. That all being said, I booked everything last minute so, it was super for last minute but, with planning I would probably stay in the condos on the mountain.

- Jenny (10/5): An idyllic, whimsical, fairy tale of a hotel! - This place is out of a children's fairy tale book! They even have a drawbridge, cute kitties running around, all custom woodwork and an amazing homemade breakfast (gluten free granola with dried fruit, fresh fruit, French toast, juices, coffee, mini acorn muffins, sausage balls, Greek yogurt, cereals, etc.).The lobby is impressive just on it's own with a handmade wood crafted coy fish pond and furniture, Keurig machine (24-7), huge fireplace, as well as cards and dominos you can access. From the minute you step foot into The Fenton Inn you are greeted with hospitality and kindness. The owners are so sweet and made us feel like home. They were accessible when needed, but our room was still very private. We stayed in the Swallow's Nest room and we were not disappointed! The views, balcony, super soft sheets, comfy bed and walk-in double head shower were on point. We also were allowed to use the movie theatre, which we made popcorn and had a cozy movie night in. They have DVDs you can use or bring your own. We didn't have a chance to use the outdoor hot tub, but it was private and looked inviting. Wintergreen Resort is literally around the corner and all the wineries/breweries are super close (10 min drive). We didn't want to leave our room or this place! As a frequent traveler, I would highly recommend this place!! Can't wait to go back and visit. PS your phone won't work in the hotel (which we didn't mind), but they have free Wifi to offer for those who need to stay connected.
- Brian (10/5): Fenton Inn is the best - Everything at the Inn was perfect. Beautiful architecture, very clean and comfortable, Inn keepers are so nice and friendly. Best B&B we have been to. When we go to Wintergreen for skiing we will likely stay here again. The short drive down the mountain is well worth the better accommodations.

The inside is so new that makes us feel extremely comfortable staying there. Will and his wife Lillian are so kind and they offer great breakfast. We loved everything about it: the setting, the friendliness and graciousness of the hosts, the beauty of the inn itself, the comfort of the rooms, the delicious breakfasts, the location, the amenities. Our family of four comfortably stayed in the Butterfly Room. My daughters loved the hot tub and the resident cats!

Large windows displayed the scenic mountain valley in several locations. Clean and comfortable accomondations. Host were extremely helpful and delightful to work with. Inn includes exercise room, very nice media room, local artisan gift shop, and massage room. Delicious breakfast included overlooking valley below and outside terrace area with hot tub.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay! - We loved the Fenton Inn. My sister and I stayed here after snowboarding at Wintergreen. It was so convenient to the mountain and the staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. We will certainly be back.

It you enjoy creative places then you do t want to miss this. With a German theme this castle bed and breakfast will truly amaze you. We will be back every winter if not sooner :)

The hospitality and craftsmanship of the inn is beyond words. Perfect setting for any occasion and I could stare out those beautiful picture windows all day. We did not have the breakfast, but if it is anything like the wonderful pastry at the coffee station- I truly missed out. My daughter and I were in heaven!! - Jeff (10/5): The best B&B I stayed at! - I have little experience with B&Bs so when I arrived I knew there would be a little learning curve to my stay. I'm not sure how other B&Bs go but my stay here was superb to say the least. First, the craftsmanship!... Im in the contracting industry and I have never seen passion and creativity in word working and carpentry as I have here. The details are phenomenal. Second, the location is magnificent if you are looking for peace and quiet, hiking and sight seeing but not but 15-ish minutes from great food and more populated areas. Third, rooms are astonishingly clean, neat, and comfortable. But, in the end, the lasting memory was the owners. Their love for this home away from their personal home and the attention they demonstrate towards their guests are exemplary. I look forward to visiting again.... Thank you guys!

I was pleasantly surprised by the detail of everything, from the handmade doors to each room that all had a different design, to the big bay windows overlooking the mountains. The bed and sheets were amazing and the 2 shower heads a surprise! The innkeepers were so nice and welcoming, all in all a great stay, will definitely go back.

Had two queen beds, large sized shower and a small balcony for 1-2 people to stand on that overlooked the "street". Very quiet and relaxing.

- John (10/5): Already planning a return visit - From the moment we were met at the door by the owners of the Inn, we were treated to a wonderful experience of how a weekend getaway should be. The Inn itself was new and very clean, with unique wood work throughout. The owners built this impressive structure themselves, and that care is evident in every corner of the Inn. The breakfast was very tasty, and the view from the dining room was an added delight. The Inn was ideally located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, so it was easy enough to go for a day hike, then a quick trip down the mountain for dinner at any number of local restaurants and craft breweries. From start to finish, the attention to detail, the natural setting and the friendly atmosphere made this visit one to remember, and repeat as soon as possible.
