• Petra (5/5): - Das Hotel war sehr schön wenn auch manchmal etwas laut. Einige kleinere Bauarbeiten haben die Ruhe gestört. Die Hotelleitung hatte diverse Angebote gemacht um sich zu beschäftigen ( Malen, Joga oder Movies am Abend) Das hat uns sehr gefallen.Direkt am Hotel war die Bushaltestelle nach Cat Ba, dort war auch ein öffentlicher Strand der sehr sauber ist. Per Taxi 150000. Der Strand war leider eine einzige Katastrophe. Überall nur Müll. Da half auch das Angebot " trash for Beer" leider nicht. Aber auch hier hat man den durchaus guten Ansatz sehen können.

• Logan (7/5): - The property was in a great location next to the beach with great views. The staff were friendly and the accomodation was good value for money The AC seemed to work intermittently in the room and the front door didn’t seem to lock properly which was concerning when going to bed

• Larry and Mel (10/5): Cat Ba Island - Delightful location outside of the noise of Cat Ba village. Clean rooms and delightful staff brought it all together. The The beach, while not the cleanest, was just across the street. Scooter rents on premise at 150k/day. Fun exploring the island and the parks. Highly recommend the Lon Ha boats. Tours can be organized onsite. Go now. Cat Ba village is changing fast with an amazing number of new, cookie cutter, units going up. The island otherwise is very relaxed.

It was across the street from a beach but due to weather it wasn't great for swimming The pool was unusable - I know things need maintenance and cleaning, I just think it would be nice to get a heads up when the pool was one of the main draws! There was loud music till late.

• Flore (8/5): - Emplacement en face de la plage, petite piscine fraîche, chambre propre et douillette. Lessive et séchage à 50000 par kilo. Le bus 14 juste à côté ! La forte musique de l'hôtel qui réveille à 7h15 ahaha. La nourriture de l'hôtel et alentours, très européanisée comparée aux restaurants de la ville de Cat Ba avec les spécialités de la mer.

• Kristijonas (8/5): Nice colorful hotel - Good location, beautiful hotel with summerful colors, friendly staff, it's a place where a handful of expats made it home. DJ was playing music during the day. You can rent bikes, motorbikes and excursions. Nice bungalows, comfortable beds The shower could use a curtain otherwise there is water everywhere. We rented a motorbike with no fuel and were asked to put some. Gave it back with way more than when received. Breakfast way too small and it's a shame to charge for coffee that even local staff doesn't drink but prefers to buy in the bar next door. The beach is not usable, it's full of waste. You have to go elsewhere

Disponibili strumenti per suonare, biliardo, biliardino. Per andare in spiaggia basta attraversare la strada. Abbiamo prenotato con loro i bus per andare da Hanoi a cat ba e da cat ba a Ninja Binh, oltre che la crociera nella Baia, tutto super Tutto bene

• Florence (5/5): L'accueil était très sympathique mais manque de propreté dans les logements. - L'accueil était très chaleureux et l'emplacement du logement conforme à nos attentes. Les bungalows sont accessibles et jolis. Le linge de lit n'était pas très propre. Les photos idylliques de la plage ne correspondaient pas du tout à la réalité. Plage à l'abandon avec des déchets jonchant le sable.

• Olga Patraj (10/5): Lovely place, super helpful staff and great atmosphere! - Staff was super helpful - every time we asked them for something the were doing everything to meet our expectations and they surely did! and The fact that breakfast was included was very convenient. The whole facility looked lovely and had basically everything that’s needed. Great atmosphere and would love to go back there one time.

Keine Bar am Strand, wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Das Essen ist maximal mittelmäßig. Die Unterkunft befindet sich im Umbruch, da ein Besitzerwechsel ansteht.

Especially summer, our host, arranged everything for us: bus transfer, motorcycle, food and drinks at every time and we had a great time! The camp is around 15 minutes from the city center (by scooter) and perfect for everyone who wants to enjoy Cat Ba, but would prefer to avoid the rather busy center in the south.

Bonne communication et location de scooters sur place. En bord de route mais pas trop de circulation la nuit. La chambre est équipée sommairement et est assez petite. La propreté est correcte.

• Nuria (8/5): Buena experiencia - La piscina, y la playa. Está super cerca. Las habitaciones son adecuadas. Pueden llevarte y traerte en taxi al centro por un buen precio. El transporte al aeropuerto perfecto. Fueron muy amables. Recomendable alquilar motos o bicis para poder volver tranquilos al hotel.

• Perrine (8/5): - L'Hostel est bien. Plutôt calme malgré la proximité avec la route. La chambre est agréable avec deux grands lits et un salle de bain privative. La proximité d'un super bon restaurant est vraiment géniale. Nous pensions pouvoir profiter d'une belle plage face à l'hostel mais nous avons été complètement déçus. La plage est jonchée de détritus en tout genre. Très salé, on n'a pas osé se baigner.

• Marc (10/5): - Super sympa d'être à l'écart de Cat Ba town et en même temps accessible en 10 minutes de scooter loués à l'hôtel On fait assez vite abstraction de la route qui passe devant l'hôtel, mais il faut tout de même noter ce détail
• Basile (8/5): Gut für 1-2 Nächte - Eigentlich schöne Lage direkt am Meer. Hat auch im Vergleich zu den eher seelenlosen Hotels in Cat Ba Town noch Vietnam Charm. Weit weg von der aktuellen Großbaustelle. Zimmer war sauber, Ausstattung ok. Guter und sauberer Pool. Das Essen war leider unterdurchschnittlich, gibt jedoch einige gute Optionen in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Tagsüber etwas lärmig da direkt an der Strasse. Strand leider nicht nutzbar (zu viel Müll und Wasser zu schmutzig) dafür kann aber die Unterkunft nichts. Kein wirklicher Backpacker Vibe.

Also, it was really nice that there was a common place for guests to rest and chill while waiting for the transport (after the checkout). There were no "don't disturb" signs. It could be useful If someone does not want its room to be entered and cleaned everyday.

• Carolin (8/5): Für 1-2 Nächte völlig entspannt - Personal war freundlich. Man konnte viele Ausflüge buchen und das Zimmer war sauber. Man konnte sich ein Motorbike mieten und war schnell überall. Der naheliegende Strand war leider sehr schmutzig und nicht zum Baden geeignet.

Wir waren 1 Nacht da. Sehr freundliches Personal. Busse zu diversen Orten konnten an der Rezeption gebucht werden (keine Bestätigung, was mich als Planerin am Tag der Abfahrt ziemlich verunsichert hat, aber es hat alles geklappt).

The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious, with a stunning view. This is definitely an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility, surrounded by nature.

• Bradley (9/5): A highlight of our trip - Absolutely lovely family who own Woodstock, they could not have been more kind to myself and my daughter. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to escape the construction site that is currently Cat Ba Island! Woodstock is next to a beach and very chilled. Perfect for us but still only 10 mins bus ride in to Cat Ba town I had to leave! 😩

• Nora (6/5): Okay. - Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass das beachcamp weit vom center entfernt ist. Wir habe dies so gewollt, da cat ba eine riesige Baustelle ist. Grundsätzlich keinen Besuch wert. Essen war gut, ansonsten noch ein einziges anderes Restaurant in der Nähe. Rollermiete vor ort möglich. Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer hat gerochen wie ein Aschenbecher, nach langem lüften nur noch muffig. Eine gruppe hat bis 1 Uhr nachts Lärm gemacht, niemand hat reagiert.. Strand vor dem beachcamp voller Müll.

• Wes (7/5): We loved our stay at Woodstock, it was exactly what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. It’s clear the area - The staff at Woodstock were so kind and helpful, a mixture of locals and international volunteers, they helped us navigate the local area and gave great tips and recommendations. The rooms were basic but comfortable and the location on the beach was lovely to be away from the hustle and bustle. Great chilled vibes all round. Family dinner was great and good value. Breakfast was nice, with Vietnamese and western options. We hired a scooter for a good price with no problems. Beach party with great music and fire dancing was a highlight. We had an issue with our air conditioning and a loose electrical socket at the start of our stay, but this was quickly fixed when we told staff. Although totally out of their control, we had an island wide power cut 2 out of our 4 days stay. We later found out that the locals knew it was going to happen, it was a shame we weren’t warned so we could make sure to charge devices etc. Two days without power in a room without windows was a little tricky, and perhaps they could’ve provided some lamps/torches to make things easier. We loved the relaxed vibe but sometimes found things took a little longer to get done or we struggled to find staff when needed.
