- Amy (7/5): Fun and different hotel. Pricey for one night but great location. - The view from the room is nice. The roof is covered in greenary and was better than just a roof with vents. Also able to see train from room, but did not hear it at all. The app for hotel made it seem you could add on additional items pretty easily. I tried to opt in for early check in, and beverages, but neither of those we were able to do. We were able to drop our bags, but I would not have come straight to the hotel if we knew we could not check in.

- Madison (10/5): Very luxe, very relaxing. - A very comfortable, inviting stay. I love the Le Labo bathroom products! The room smelled great and was very cozy. Cafe food delivered right to the room. Temperature adjustments to the rooms were easy and quick. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. Loved that there was a noise machine provided as well. The TV was lagging when trying to use the streaming services, but I just put the TV on to fall asleep, not my main point of focus for my trip!
- Katja (9/5): Empfehlung! - Die Lage in Wicker Park ist zwischen O‘Hare und dem Loop, also gut überall hin. Direkt an der Blue Line Damen (ohne Aufzug, aber das Hotel hilft freundlichst. Ich finde den Bau einfach besonders - und den Blick vom Dach oder einem der Eckzimmer auf Downtown atemberaubend. Café Robey im Erdgeschoss ist gut (guter Kaffee), Service insgesamt war bei uns sehr zuvorkommend ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Bloomingdale Trail zum Laufen ohne Straßenverkehr ist zwei Blicks gen Nordrn - auch klasse. Eine Empfehlung! Wer nur den Loop erkunden will und öffentlichen Nahverkehr scheut, für den ist es vermutlich etwas weit weg.

The hotel said they had not received payment from Booking.com despite my credit card being debited 8 days prior ...I foolishly paid again upon checkout thinking Booking.com is a reliable company & the charges will be sorted out internally. Having lodged a complaint with Booking.com we are now 25 days down the track from my complaint of being double charged (once by Booking.com & again by Robey Hotel at checkout) & have supplied all relevant documents but all of a sudden Booking.com communication is random & slow & I still don't have my money. Not a good situation

So nice and informative, really had our night starting off great! The rooms exceeded our expectations. The vibes, the window views, everything truly went perfect. We got to enjoy brunch at Cafe Robey and it was delicious! Highly recommend their biscuits and gravy. We also got to enjoy Le Labo just next door to the hotel, definitely should check out their Chicago limited scent. We had an amazing time, and staying at The Robey made is all the more fun!

- Liz (6/5): Great location with improvement opportunities - Great location The Up Room was amazing- great drinks, views, staff Nice add ons included in extra amenity fee Love the old building and style, room design was unique, boutique hotel vibe The front desk person at arrival was great and gave us great recommendations. Restaurant/ bar options on property - When we went to bed the first night, we found that the sheets weren’t clean. There was what looked like food stains (or worse?) and crumbs in the bed (still trying to figure that one out). Since housekeeping wasn’t there at night, we had to change rooms at 12am. No one on staff seemed to really care- someone came by to give new keys but no one apologized or followed up- which seems strange for a 4 star hotel. Even when I mentioned it at checkout, the front desk person said “ok” and nothing else. - Rooms are not sound proof at all and walls are thin- we could hear the tv in the room next door loud and clear and banging from above, and the train coming by every 5-10 mins. (Our room was directly outside the L, like very directly- eye level with passengers. I actually didn’t mind this as one of the quirks of the old building, and don’t mind the train sounds, I imagine this might not be the room for everyone.) - While I appreciate the quirkiness of the rooms, our room was oddly and not practically designed. Small things but create the overall experience. The sink splashes, doors to shower and toilet that bang into each other, there was not enough room next to the sink to put your stuff, the pipe intended to hang your clothes isn’t high enough for long items so they drag on the floor. - There was construction being done to the downstairs restaurant the day we checked out. It was incredibly loud, which made any of the lobby and restaurant totally unavailable. - With all of this, this just didn’t seem like a $500/night stay. I expected a certain level of comfort and service and there were improvements that could be made.

- Kathryn (10/5): - I was initially given Rm 312 which I have stayed in before which is over the nightclub and very noisy. I asked to be moved to a quiet room. Being handicap accessible was not necessary, but the hotel was able to move us on a very busy weekend which was hugely appreciated. The new room in the 5th floor was great. It is a small and very busy hotel and everyone there is very nice. I especially like the all day brunch in the restaurant. Highly recommend!

We mentioned that it was my daughter’s birthday at check-in and the staff surprised us with Stan’s Donuts and a sweet note! We found everyone there to be kind and helpful. We’ll be back for sure!

There were multiple restaurants and we liked the breakfast and the rooftop tacos. The staff was very friendly. There were TONS of nearby places to eat. Locally we mainly thrift shopped. Beds super comfortable. The trade off is it’s not super close to classic tourist sites.

I love that there a several options for food in the hotel and lots of great businesses and blue line access near by. The room wasn't huge but it was beautiful, comfortable and the beds were absolutely wonderful. A small complaint for me would be that do I wish the pool was larger. The roof top bar is absolutely stunning with amazing views. I would have to say that the very best part of our stay had to be the staff. Every staff person that we interacted with was just beyond lovely and helpful. That alone would make me come back and stay here. Highly recommend!

The rooftop bar is nice but drinks will set u back depending on what u drink. Me I had a small DBL of buffalo trace n it cost me 35$. The token they give u for the drink around the corner. Don't plan on eating. Lastly, the bed was hard n it took me a minute to unlock the door😜 for the first time in the city. Definitely better choices for the money

- Terry (4/5): - We got to the hotel and the lady at the service counter, even though it is a self check out I needed help and she didn’t wanna help me. I finally got her to help and she kept stopping to help other people in the middle of serving me on top of all that there was Homosexual symbolism all throughout the hotel that was very uncomfortable to me and my wife videos of homosexual activity on the elevator, the room was terribly small. The air conditioner did not work and then proceeded to condensate all over the floor.

- Chicha (3/5): wouldn’t stay here again, maybe other beautiful hotels within this price range that offer better amenities with a more w - The lobby turns into a restaurant, so does the rooftop, and there 2nd floor area becomes a bar, For the price you pay your basically either stuck in your room or spending time in fully public commercial working places, your not allowed to bring outside food and relax anywhere because everywhere is a restaurant, I was kept awake all night by the automatic AC blowing so hard directly in my face, the machine is also so loud and would wake me up every time it powered on when turning on automatically
