The shuttle service provided by the hotel to travel back and forth to the airport was very convenient and the fact the hotel has a shuttle desk just outside area at airport once you pickup luggage and exit makes things very easy for arriving passengers to beirut. Had a very good experience staying at the lancaster tamar hotel.
- Kevin (10/5): - The staff were all very professional and polite. The hotel has a desk at the airport just outside when you pickup your luggage and exit which is very convenient. Just make sure to contact hotel with your arrival time before your trip so they can have the hotel van ready to take you to the hotel. The gym was under renovation at the time of visit so I did not have the opportunity to use it. There are a couple of malls within walking distance of the hotel and some restaurants close by. The room was very clean, neat and very quiet. If you need a hotel close to the airport thus is a good place to stay and the complimentary hotel shuttle service they offer is a great perk.

Instead, I used it for the ride back to the airport. And it was odd that the front desk did not advise me of this service when I initially ordered a taxi to the airport. Why would you not provide this information, especially since the hotel was not full and nearly empty during my stay.

- James (8/5): Decent hotel, get a room facing front of building - A nice hotel with spacious rooms and solid room service. Drinks (hard and soft alike) are very expensive though, so suggest to pick up drinks from the duty-free at the airport on your way in, and just order ice to the room. Be aware that car parking is extra (and expensive), and that there is heavy construction noise coming from behind the hotel - so get a room at the front of the building if you like to sleep in past 8am. Also be aware that the hotel is a 30 minute drive from the pedestrian center of the city, so you’ll need a rental car (fortunately there is a budget rental car place just two buildings over from the hotel). Lastly, the front desk staff are rather unable to provide any tourism advice (like restaurants nearby, or where the fireworks are at New Years Eve, or what the tourist attractions are in Lebanon), so you’ll need to get advice online or from people outside of the hotel.
