- BELINDA (10/5): Beautiful old English pub, good food and lovely hosts. - Beautiful old English pub, with sofas in front of a roaring fire. Amazing food in the lounge/dining area that allowed dogs. We stayed the night and were welcomed in the morning with a delicious breakfast. Freshly made English breakfast, toast and yoghurt. The pub is right next door to Montacute House, which is full of history. Ann and Charles made fill very welcome and we look forward to our next visit. Nothing

Very nice walking area and a number of NT places nearby. We stayed for two nights and found the pub an excellent base for nearby touring. Nothing.

Breakfast was lovely in the morning. We had a private bathroom but it isn't in the room it's adjacent to the room.

Old windows in the bedroom resulted in a breeze blowing through a crack where they didn’t seal properly and the regularly curtains blowing out during the night. Thank goodness it was a mild night for December!
I was surprised to be told that breakfast was at 9.30am (not given a time range) and also wasn’t asked if I wanted a cooked breakfast. A plate of food was just put in front of me, brought out at the same time as everyone else’s, who I assume were also told to be there at 9.30!

The room was a really good size and comfortable for the price. The food we had was also exceptional having stayed for both dinner and breakfast. I have no negative comments from the experience.
