Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Richard (9/5): We enjoyed the stay as usual. - We liked the proximity to the family residence that we were visiting. The manager and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. We have stayed at this location several times in the past and were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort that the room afforded at a price that fit into our budget, seeing that we are on a fixed income. The tub didn't seem to be cleaned. Could use a little more attention to the bathroom.
- Heath (7/5): -
- Anastasia (9/5): This is a little gem of an old school family motel. The couple who run it are delight, the heat was warm, the water was - Clean and safe.
- John Phillip (10/5): - I'm so glad I got shut out of Miami of Ohio lodging which is harder to get than buying Taylor Swift concert tickets.
Nice clean unit, quiet, no crowds a brand new king size bed and an excellent Mexican place El Reparo within walking distance.
Nice historic town too! The city hall has to be an architectural gem from 100+ years ago.
- timothy (5/5): -
- Tiffany (6/5): Welcoming staff and a good nights sleep - It's impossible to find hotel rooms for Miami University during busy weekends, like graduation, and this was a closer drive than most places in Hamilton, OH. Staff were super friendly and nice. Bathroom renovated. Bed was relatively comfortable. Great if you just need a place to sleep. Area was a little sketchy at night.
- Jodie (8/5): Very good -
- Kristie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alvin (6/5): Pleasant - After paying kind of a high price for the room a $10 resort fee was added to basically what was just a room. no breakfast or anything. next time i will drive a little further to get a national chain for the same price, with no resort fee and has a breakfast.
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Sal (7/5): The staff had an outstanding sense of customer service. Great location. Property needs some updating. - The staff was amazing. Great customer service. Staff was prepared to go above and beyond for guest. The property needs to be updated with renovations.
- Kiki (3/5): Poor -
- Karen (8/5): We’d stay here again. - If you want to stay in Liberty this is your only choice. An older motel that the proprietors are working to update. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom lacked any electrical outlets. Very safe neighborhood. Had a nice fridge and microwave. AC is noisy. Fair price.
- Linda (8/5): Nice motel - It is just a small 6 room motel owned by a very nice couple. Doesn't look like much from outside but it is very clean and comfortable inside. It is nice for overnight or a weekend. We would stay there again if our kids go camping at whitewater state park again.
- Randy (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (10/5): - Nice people
- Kazi (7/5): Good -
- Ali (6/5): It was fine, - Room was small and clean, bed was large. A lamp would be nice. - Different types of pillows. More outlets. Definitely something to wipe your feet on when you walk in the room. I have bites on my ankles. I am not sure where they are from but I didn't have them when I arrived. Showers needs completely redone.
- Scott (10/5): Miami OH trip - Great trip with amazing service. Would visit again.
- Patricia (7/5): Good - The owner was friendly and responsive to our questions and needs. The room was clean and there was free parking. The owner gave us bottled water during check in and during check out. The motel is walking distance to a diner on the main square and a Mexican Food restaurant. The room needs a shelf or counter to place the suitcase. It is an older place that needs updating regarding electricity. If you need to use a hairdryer, you need to request one from the owner in the office.
- Mary (8/5): I am happy to have discovered this place. Our stay was pleasant - The staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and quiet and in better condition than I expected.
The shower had great heat and water pressure.
The table and two chairs gave us the opportunity to play cards. It's still a discount motel. No breakfast. No in-room coffee. No fancy view.
- Michael (8/5): Should travel take me near Liberty in the future (as is likely) I will gladly consider staying here. - Super nice staff. Generally quiet location, despite being on what passes for a "main" road. Easy walking distance to the interesting, albeit small, downtown. Comfy bed. Hot shower. What's not to like? My coffee-addicted partner wanted a gourmet beverage - this, seriously, was our only substantive complaint. The room was sparsely appointed but very clean and tidy. It would have been nice to have had a couch/sofa/easy chair but we didn't miss this. We ignored the TV, would have liked WiFi instead.
- Rajiv Pandey (8/5): - This is the one and only Motel in this area to stay not tooo many choices customer has to distinguish.
- Rose (8/5): Stayed for parents weekend at Miami U. The room was adequate for our weekend, bed was comfortable. By no means is it lux - The owners go above and beyond to be of assistance. Its in need of remodel.
- Richard (9/5): This establishment is an older one, but it was clean and comfortable. - There was no breakfast at this location, but there were some close places to eat.
- Tommie (9/5): Superb - The location, price, staff. We will stay here again. No ice machine
- Ryan (8/5): Welcoming, clean, and comfortable. What else could you ask for? - Small town motels can be hit and miss, this one is definitely a hit. The owners were very friendly and welcoming even with our late arrival. Room exceeded my expectations and was very clean. Looking forward to staying here again.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff. Everything was fine.
- Ingle (10/5): understanding staff - I arrived after my booking to discover that I actually couldn’t afford the room without sacrificing my ability to have enough gas money to get home. they did not charge me the cancellation fee because I expressed my concern to them. if I had been able to stay I’m sure it would have been a great stay. very friendly people.
- Oni (4/5): Disappointing - The rooms were clean The owner doesn't keep the heat on a low level to keep the rooms warm they are freezing when you get in
- Anonymous (9/5): great id stay again - very clean old skool motel !!! husband and wife were so nice!! walked to go eat!!!
- Colleen (4/5): The reviews were misleading. The place is old, tired, and needs cosmetic and structural updates. - Since my sister and I came to do family research at the courthouse and library, it was more convenient to stay in Liberty than in Richmond. The location of the Liberty Inn was the best thing about our one night stay. And, the room appeared to be clean, although it looked such a mess that I felt I had to inspect the sheets and the floor before I could stay there. Where to start? The place is in rough condition. The room we had dirty walls, looked like they might have patched some areas (not painted), and the bedding (coverlet) was cheap, old and outdated. The bathroom had no electrical outlet, and towels that were small, rough, and grey-white (supposed to be white, I assume). The electrical inside was mostly power strips pulled across awkward areas. It was difficult to figure out where to plug in a hairdryer. The small fridge worked, but that was the extent of kitchen amenities.
- Neaton (9/5): Superb -
- Corrie (8/5): Very good - proximity to Oxford it appeared as though our room was in the middle of renovations—two different colors of paint that overlapped in a very sloppy way. Aesthetics aside, the room was clean and the owners were very nice. it would have been nice to have extra pillows.
- Jan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Steponkeviciute (10/5): It was awesome to visit Indianopilis! - It was a lovely motel, the owners were fantastic and friendly!!
- Rockie (6/5): - The proprietors are extremely accommodating, personable and eager to make your stay the best possible; however, the room was comfortable but is very outdated and needs to be completely refurbished. That being said, there are not many choices for travelers in the Connersville area. So, this motel will serve the purpose if you are not expecting luxury and can be satisfied with the very basics for a short over-night stay.
- Amy (10/5): Get what you pay for. Very friendly owners. - The owners were very warm, welcoming and kind people The place itself was acceptable for the low price. I travel with cleaning supplies and my own clean bedding no matter how new and nice the accommodations I stay are. The decor could have been much nicer. Like even paining would help a lot. The bed was very firm, which I prefer, so that was a plus for me.
Because of the kindness from the owners, if I ever needed a place in this area again, I’d probably stay here again. Plus it’s the only motel/hotel in town 👍
- Alice (10/5): - Everything you need: microwave, refrigerator, flat screen TV, wi-if, comfortable bed and bedding, very clean. Owners are exceptionally welcoming, generous and anxious to please. I would return just to visit with them!
- Ammon (8/5): - It was older but clean enjoyed my stay
- Peter (6/5): - You get what you pay for!
Overall the room seemed clean but it's an old motel and is worn. The room is small and not much room to move around with 2 queen beds and a table in there. It is an easy 20-25 minute drive to Oxford, but you get road noise from US 27 and the train tracks are right across the street for the nightly freight train. I paid $85 a night while rooms in Oxford were going for $280. In hindsight, I would probably look in Dayton or northern Cincinnati.
- Kathleen (8/5): Convenient motel in Liberty - The motel is an older style motel, it's small, but it has some updates. The refrigerator was the best refrigerator I've had in a motel/hotel. It actually had a real freezer. The water pressure/temperature in the shower was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to Oxford, Richmond, Connersville, and Brookville so it's a great place to stay if you're going to be in the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very small rooms - The room was clean but extremely small. It was very tight with 2-3 adults, not much space to move around.
- James (8/5): - Very nice and clear
- Rick (10/5): Awesome host - Two of the most friendly couple u wood ever meet. So glad I crossed paths with them both.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - owners pleasant, but had burn hole (cigarette) in sheets and wasn't sure of cleanliness, towels had seen better days and could use some bleach. Room smelled of cigarettes. No mirror in room and no outlet for blowdrier in bathroom.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - 5 Star Shabby-Chic. It isn’t the Hampton Inn, but the owners are very friendly and hands-on. The room is small but very clean. The shower and water pressure is superb. We would not hesitate to stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent staff and service. We stayed here during Family Weekend at Miami University - and I would much rather give my business to fair and hardworking individuals than the corporate hotels that were charging triple the rate. The owners were very attentive and made sure our stay was enjoyable. The only negative was our 2nd night - when the people in the room next to us were up talking loudly until 4:30am - but that can happen anywhere you stay. I will stay there again for future Miami events.
- Eric (8/5): Good price / clean room / nice people - Don’t let the lack of curb appeal throw you off. Very warm welcome upon arrival. As good or better than you would expect at the price. Fine for an overnight or 2. I’ll go back.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room wasnt painted. Found 4 flying ants. Got bit by something that was in the room....spider or other bug. We should get some kind of discount because the room wasn’t ready for guest!!! We will not be back and will tell family and friends not to rent any rooms!
- john (10/5): Friendly owners - place was clean and everything was good and functional. had plenty of plug ins and usb ports nice alarm clock and bedside lamp .I was even welcomed with a couple sodas for me and my wife. was offered hot coffee when I checked out in the morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ours was a quick visit, helping with move in of family member to Miami University. Hotel staff was welcoming & helpful in providing information with regard to dining and shopping needs as part of our trip.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They would not return my money didn’t even stay there had the wrong datea
- Michael (8/5): Thumbs up. - Small room but it served the purpose. Staff at front desk was extremely courteous and accommodating. Room was very nice and clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, comfy, inexpensive. My first stay here, and everything was good.
- Leslie (8/5): Liberty Motel - The Liberty Motel was convenient to visit our daughter at Miami University. The owner was friendly at check-in and showed us to our room to make sure we had everything we needed. I was also impressed by the nice email we received from the hotel right after we booked. The motel is basic, but owner is very nice, there was free wi-fi that worked!, a good tv and DVD player, and minifridge, and the price was great. I would stay again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The door only had one lock( no chain lock)
Bath tub drain did not work ( could not fill tub if you wanted to)
The sink water control no control
But I guess what do you expect for $50
- Christy (8/5): - Owners were very accommodating. Unique sheets and pillow covers made for a restful sleep.
Tight squeeze making it around the beds to front door and bathroom. Not much room for luggage and belongings.
- Sheila (8/5): Nice - Nice place but we were only there during sleeping hours and were gone the remainder of the time
- Sara (10/5): The right place! - It was great! The service were friendly & very helpful. I recommend this place! There is places to eat around there also, so you got everything you need. The beds are very comfortable.
- Paul (8/5): - Very nice place to stay.
- Barbara (4/5): Rundown - It is a very old motel. Bed was comfortable. Very small room and a tiny bathroom. The heat had been turned down low so they gave us a space heater. Not enough outlets.
- Verified traveler (8/5): reasonable accomodations - The staff was courteous and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the
e rooms were clean and new towels every day and bathroom freshened. the decor was dated & double queen bed room tight but king room roomy. Place was good for the price and used for sleeping & resting between outings.
- Anthony (10/5): Good price for the place - Liberty Motel feels like 5 star hotel in the concerned with excellent hospitality and almost felt like home. The Staff was really nice and helpful. Comfortable small room but nice and cozy.. I will certainly be staying here again and highly recommend to others when near by this area.
- Verified traveler (2/5): bleah - I actually did not stay there. I made a reservation, and tried to cancel some 8 days before the check in. They would not let me. Granted, I should have read the fine print but this is no way to attract customers.
- Joy (8/5): Enjoyed our three-night stay at Liberty Motel. - While this is an older facility, we found the accommodations to be very satisfactory and fit our needs quite well. Economical, comfortable bed, hot water, good TV service with lots of channels, microwave, refrigerator, clean and the service was good. Coffee each morning. Friendly proprietor and wife. We would stay there again. We were in the area for an antique tractor show. Didn't take in any of the other sights available in the community this time. Did enjoy a meal at the Liberty Bell Restaurant and found it to be tasty.
- Natalia (10/5): Amazing service and Great place to stay - Staff was really helpful during and after checking in process. Comfortable place to stay in the area and price was unbelievably cheap compare to other motels around. I would defiantly go back again in the future If I happen to be in the town again. I needed extra towel around mid night When I made the call , Staff deliver it with out any hesitation.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty hotel near the lake. - Room needed some TLC and owners need some serious advice at running a hotel. A/C could use some seal around it to help outside noise. Sheets need to be changed based on weather. Thick sheets shouldn't be on in 80° weather.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to Brookville Lake - Quiet and convenient location in town. Rooms are small, but price is worth the stay.
- Jeffrey (6/5): So so hotel - The room was extremely small. Could here lots of noise from outside.
- Verified traveler (8/5): This is an okay place! - The owner was very accommodating and the room though small was clean and our stay was fine.
- John (4/5): Not a good value for the money - Room was decently clean, but there was no hot water in the shower, so I made do with a quick washing of my hair. Walls were very thin and I could hear the couple next door talking. They left their TV on all night, which I could also hear. Door only had knob locks and the swinging U thing, no deadbolt. Just a regular hardware-store knob and lock, with an actual key on one of those old fobs that says "Drop in any mailbox. Postage guaranteed." I didn't know those were still around! Not a good value for the money.
