Iedereen is super vriendelijk (Fendy in de Ketumbar Bistro is helemaal een topper) en behulpzaam. We hebben het geweldig gehad.

Free shuttle bus took you around. I would recommend doing this when you arrive to get an idea of location. We just stayed on it until back at hotel .use the spa we all did and the lady was very good . The beach was disappointing was expecting sun loungers and umbrellas. But used by the locals so was messy with rubbish. The sea great for surfers not to swim in as waves really strong. They had pool of water for little ones to use . As far as room was great the only things needed to improve them .little things like there was 3 adults only 2 cup and saucers. Two dressing gowns and these need to be waffle kind as towelling one to thick .again just suggesting as staff amazing any problems was sorted straight away .

Спа хороший, выполнили индивидуальный запрос. Пляж при отеле. Нет прямого выхода на пляж, там протекает большой поток воды, перекрывая ход на пляж. Сам пляж грязный. Отель не предложил трансфер. Не всегда персонал понимал по-английски, что я прошу, хоть я разъясняла все в деталях. Просто соглашались. Но это не было большой проблемой.

Travelers Beware: Serious Service & Security Issues at a Supposed 5-Star Hotel I stayed at Swarga Suites with my wife for four nights from January 11th–15th, and what we experienced was extremely disappointing and concerning for a hotel advertised as 5-star. I am writing this review to alert fellow travelers, especially about communication failures, poor service, and missing personal items after checkout. 1. Communication & Contactability The hotel lists a direct phone number (+62 361 9347299) on its website and on Google, yet the number does not ring or work at all. The only method to reach staff is through WhatsApp, and even then they do not answer calls on WhatsApp and only respond via text. This means it is impossible to actually speak to management or senior staff. For any hotel, let alone one claiming 5-star status, this is a serious red flag. 2. Room Conditions We booked their most expensive room type (pool access). The first room (215) had a strong damp and mold smell to the point that it felt difficult to breathe. Even the staff who came to inspect the room eventually agreed the smell was not acceptable. We were moved to room 211. This is not the condition one expects from a hotel of this category. The bathroom door in our room didn't even lock and they had to arrange for it to be fixed. 3. Facilities & Restaurant Quality The minibar in our room did not work and had to be replaced by maintenance. We also tried the only restaurant on property and the food quality was extremely poor. After that experience we chose to eat outside for the remainder of our stay. 4. Service Standards Service throughout the property was unprofessional, slow, and far below the standard of any reliable 5-star hotel we have stayed at elsewhere. Staff felt untrained and there was no sense of customer care or management presence. 5. Checkout Incident On our final morning, as we were preparing to leave for the airport, a staff member stopped my wife in the lobby claiming a missing hand towel. It was shocking to be questioned in this way given the category of hotel and the fact that we were still in the lobby with luggage, clearly about to depart. It was an uncomfortable and unnecessary experience that left a very bad impression. 6. Missing Personal Items After Checkout After returning home, I realized I had forgotten a necklace in the room which had significant sentimental value, as well as several personal items we purchased ourselves and kept in the minibar (including a bottle of rosé wine, tequila, beer, chocolates, and two perfumes). When we contacted the hotel—once again only via WhatsApp due to their phone not working—the hotel claimed housekeeping found nothing at all. There was no record or log of any items left behind. For a property claiming 5-star status, this lack of accountability and transparency is alarming. We have screenshots of all communication for reference. 7. Escalation to Authorities Due to the nature of the missing items and inability to properly communicate with hotel management, the matter has now been escalated to the Bali Police, Bali Tourist Police, and our embassy in Jakarta. This is being handled through legal assistance so that the situation is documented through proper channels. Final Thoughts We booked Swarga Suites due to its location and supposed 5-star rating, but the experience was extremely disappointing, stressful, and ultimately costly due to the missing items. Travelers seeking reliable service, proper management, and safe handling of personal belongings should think twice before booking. I genuinely hope this review helps others avoid the issues we faced. Booking.com is stopping me from adding screenshots of my chat with the hotel but it will be available on Google reviews. Avoid this HOTEL like the PLAGUE !!!!

• Bradley (10/5): Incredible! A must stay if you love Canggu. - Great location right on the beach but slightly out of the main hustle of Canggu. The pool access rooms are a must. The team are so friendly and welcoming, I really couldn’t fault my stay at all.

There were minimal beach/pool chairs around the pool, there was no where to sit if these seats were occupied. The gym was tiny with minimal equipment. Location to central Canggu is too far, took 30mins in bad traffic to get there but there are lots of shops within walking distance.

The hotel has a weird configuration : no place to sit around the pool, the transats were on the side, far from the pool. Only 2 of them on front the pool. the restaurant was not very good, better to eat outside. There was a kind of river in front that was not very clean. Huge night clubs 2min away, so some noise all night long.

The staff are always very friendly and smiling when approached. I was pretty disappointed in this property. The service was average, the facilities even more average. Breakfast was nice but nothing amazing compared to other places we have stayed in Bali. Ordered room service one afternoon and it took forever to get to us and when it did it was well and truely cold. We stayed two nights, one of those days room service was completely unavailable and the next night the ocean viewing/ dining area was closed for a wedding (which is absolutely fine but having more than 12 hours notice would have been appreciated).

• Simon (8/5): A fantastic, luxury experience, but need to bring smoking rules up to 2025. - Excellent location on the beach, with a very comfortable duplex room and plenty of space for our family. The breakfasts and food quality was very high, and the staff were always friendly and accommodating (special mention to Dinah, who was fantastic with our children). The pool and facilities are clear and modern, and the local area is a slightly quieter (though still pretty chaotic) corner of Canggu. The only major negative was the smoking - there appear few limits around the restaurant or common spaces and it was uncomfortable for our family. We had to leave the kids’ swimming pool on several occasions due to people smoking outside their rooms, as well as moving away from the restaurant when trying to eat. There should be a smoking area away from common areas. The hotel would be 10/10 without this, and it would put us off staying here again.

• mb.terreux (8/5): Séjour magnifique - La chambre au bord de la piscine était juste incroyable, spacieuse, bien équipée, accès facile à la piscine, le calme des abords. Le petit déjeuner était bon, on y trouve de tout et les jus sont frais ! La plage devant l'hôtel

• Jacinta (10/5): Perfect little getaway for the family. Duplex room is a must! - The room was great especially for families. Lots of room to have our own space. Staff were fantastic with the children. And activities were great. Location was perfect for us. Nothing it was perfect for what we needed
