Guest Reviews
- 380filb (4/5): NOT HERE, WHAT A LETDOWN!! FIND ANOTHER ACCOMMODATION, ANOTHER PLACE! - This place is overrated. We were there Mar 16 but decided not to stay for the 2 nights stay plan. There is no running water in the visitors waiting area. Wow!!?? Have to wash hands on the swimming pool, Sorry but this is the only place with water. There must be some other accommodations somewhere. A definite NO NO!! Run, Run away!
- Coastal707168 (2/5): Terribly disappointing. Dirty and extra charges. - We were very excited to stay at this place only to end up disappointed. Rated 1 star because of location right by the beach but otherwise the check in process was terrible and doesn't deserve a star. After a long 6hrs of driving with kids to get to the hotel we we're greeted with extra charges and dirty rooms - see photos. We were charged an extra 3000php for an additional adult (at the time of booking, I searched for 3 adults, 1 child and a baby and booked a room with a max capacity of 4 adults). At check in we were told only 2 adults per room were booked and we had to deal with Agoda to dispute. Also, we were told that the free breakfast was for the adults only so kids were not included - this is not indicated anywhere on the site. When we get to the room, the bathroom was dirty- I had to spend the first 20minutes spraying everything in the room with a sanitizer and wiping down the tables and counters since I had a child and baby with us (see pictures). It looked like the bathroom had not been cleaned for weeks- toilet seat was not wiped down and soap marks on the mirror and bathroom glass. After wiping down the bathroom counter, my wipes were yellow with a few short hair attached to it- see picture (I took a video of the wipe down but could not attach here). We tried to ask for a refund to book elsewhere at check in time but there was no refund allowed and there was no manager in to talk to. We booked for two rooms and they were both the same- disappointing. See photos of the two rooms attached. Wifi is patchy. This place should not be charging 3500php per night with this standard.
- lorraineashleyl (2/5): Slow restaurant - Bad reviews for the restaurant. We waited for 1 hour and 3 mins for our lunch to arrive. And most of their menu items are not even available. If you're travelling to a far place, I don't recommend visiting here for a short snack or lunchbreak. It's not evwn worth the wait.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Food was excellent!, taste good, lots of varieties!
- david (10/5): It was GOOD. Can be better! - It was my 2nd time to go on this hotel.
Price was okay but i wish it was lower.
Just a little hiccup with the fridge as it was not working. They replaced but the replacement set was faulty too.
We ordered dinner and took a bit longer...
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place but no elevator - I was not able to get the room I booked because the hotel had no elevator and I am mobility challenged and this was not on the hotel details when I booked the room on hotels.com.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful... shout out to Nerwin in the dining room who i feel went above and beyond.
Food was excellent and the hotel shuttle was great. Overall a good experience except for the inability to get the room i booked.
- sway13th (10/5): Roadtrip on the north - Good for family staycation.
Customer service go beyond expectations esp the night shift during our stay.
Have lots of water activities.
Value of money exceeded the cost of stay.
It also has the romantic ambience as well for couples.
- 510chengm (10/5): Great Service - Nice place to relax and great front desk staff. There staff that little not too friendly, though. But overall the place is great and we will be back soon. Affordable and fun beach activity. Breakfast by the sea, and it is buffet.
- brigsdmaster (2/5): Don't trust the photos found when booking the rooms - I am currently staying here and booked two deluxe ocean view rooms. The rooms given to us looks like the deluxe north wing instead of the deluxe ocean view (see pics below). I raised this concern to the receptionist and told me that our rooms still have an ocean view but those are not the rooms I paid for and convinced me to book and!!!! The deluxe ocean view room looks inviting on their website but that is not what I got, no sliding door at all!! I felt swindled by this hotel (pics of the room and it's facade included)
- Tony (2/5): - It’s not worth the price! Not even a one-star hotel and it’s overpriced! 😏
- Maria (8/5): - The beach has clear water. The food was great and affordable. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The only point that needs improvement is cleanliness and lacks maintenance. The room assigned to me wasn’t neat, the bathroom smelled, the power slots were loose, bed sheets didn’t seem to have been changed (there was an entire piece of false eyelashes!).
- rivenr2019 (2/5): Awful service and don't trust any promotions - Thankfully Someone else wrote about promotions and the service provided by this place. The promotion isn't accepted during their peak season and black out dates. Which I was told over the phone that all of December is considered their peak season and so is half of January meaning these vouchers are only good for a 2 week time period in the end of January. Worse yet they hand these out well before them so if you don't have a Visa, you won't be here long enough to use them. it's a joke. The reception was also rather rude about it. They also give 4 vouches for 1500 a piece and they will not be honored. I'm glad I checked before making the 9+ hour trip to get there. I will also be talking to the ones that gave this promotion, as Vitalis White put ALL of the blame on the one giving out the promotion and accepted zero responsibility and I've had business partners like that before that make zero effort to honor their agreements and promotions. Its bad business and speaks volumes. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
- monalizah5486 (8/5): Amazing View at the Bay - staffs are polite and friendly, breakfast are really good, fun and thrilled on their activities at the beach, this place is beautiful, romantic in the evening for they have acoustic music beside the bay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Kind and friendly staff. Convenient and immediate access to the beach. Great food at the restaurant. Kayak and paddle board rentals available. Water slide and well-maintained pool was a big hit with the kids! Clean towels. Comfortable beds. Beautiful ocean view. Hotel is a bit run-down. Building is starting to deteriorate. My balcony door didn't close or lock properly. The phone in the room didn't work so I had to go to the desk for assistance. The right side of the beach and ocean is VERY rocky and there is no signage to indicate this. My daughter was on a floaty and when she got off, was expecting sand at the bottom of the water but ended up walking on rocks. She cut her foot very badly. Staff was kind and helped with bandaids but it would've been helpful if they told us that this side of the beach had sharp rocks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It had a beautiful view of the beach and easy quiet access.
- Barry (4/5): - There were no transportation and the room was not as good as it was advertised. There was no hot water
- ViceBersa (10/5): Long weekend - Their best asset is their employees, from greeetings to taking care of minor injuries and petty requests they will surely oblige with a smile. The ambiance in and out of the hotel is very soothing. They have also live bands and lots of booze to choose from. The food is great and the rooms are clean. They Just that the electrical sockets are loose and needs to be repaired. We enjoyed playing volleyball and riding the kayak.I hope the jetskis will be available soon.Special thanks to Jomar and Jefferson.A place everyone will surely love.
- patje990 (4/5): Less then expected - Room was small, leakage in bathroom tv signal average wifi no signal in room watersports not available due to maintenance, no hot water in shower although bed was good and staff friendly and helpful food at vitalis villa(free shuttle available) was very good
- camillexxii (2/5): Their promotions are misleading and worst customer service and hotel reservation officers. - We went to Vitalis White Sands because we received promotional vouchers from Magic Sing. We booked ahead of time and we informed the reservation officer the we are going to use the promo vouchers. We have (2) overnight stay and (4) 1,500 worth of vouchers. We understood that the (1) overnight stay voucher can only be used one voucher per stay, because it’s clearly stated in the terms and conditions of the promo, but when we arrived, the front desk officer said that we’re only allowed to use (1) 1,500 voucher — which is not stated in the terms and conditions and wasn’t mentioned by the reservation officer. We even had to wait out and follow up until the next morning just to get the verdict that they will not honor our vouchers. At the end, we had to leave on the 2nd day because they were asking us to pay in cash instead of the vouchers given to us. As a customer, it was a very terrible experience because we’re the ones suffering for their mistake. In fact, we’re the ones they’re blaming because they said that we didn’t understand the confirmation email. They didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience we experienced. Overall, it was a terrible experience for our first time in Ilocos.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Awesome location, beautiful beach, with waterfront views, staff are nice, overall a great place to relax.
- francisrphilippines (4/5): Nice sea view room but OLD building (Please renovate the whole bldg) - Positive: Nice sea view room. Trained staff, polite and considerate. Free parking. Food is good also but do not expect breakfast to be buffet. They gave free 10min massage for 1.
Negative: Upon check in, room was stinky, especially the sheets and headrest. It looked like it wasn't cleaned and wasn't used for some time. I requested to make up the room, it improved but annoying smell was still there. There were gross leaks from the ceiling since it was raining hard that day. There were holes in random areas. Pool area wasn't impressive as well.
Summary: The beach area is decent but wasn't able to use it that time bec of the storm. For Vitalis White Sands, we regret paying 3-4k for the room. I should've chose the other hotel beside which is also the same rate I think. I will only return here if they renovate the whole building. With this standard, price should be 500/night only.
Instead of rating 1/5, I chose to make it 2/5 bec of the professional staff, and sea view location. It's just the poor maintenance and condition of the bldg that ruined it
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I did not even stay in this hotel but i still got charge.
- angelicacabading07 (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! FRIENDLY STAFF! - We went here for our honeymoon and the place is very cozy, we stayed in the Double Bed Ocean View and the room is very spacious. All staff were very friendly which is the best part of our travel and the food was great at the canteen. The room was cleaned everyday. If you went there commuting, they have a Jeepney that you can request to help with your transport till highway. This place is highly recommended for relation away from our busy lives!
- Ikay (6/5): - Lots of mosquitos. The sink only have hot water. Bathroom smells pee when we first came in. Beach is not good instead of sands it was rocks big rocks.
We enjoyed our breakfast. The staffs are nice.
- MichiA908 (4/5): Disappointed - Stayed here for 2 nights for a friend's wedding. Rooms at the north wing are old and needs to be updated. I don't even understand why they would still give those rooms to guests. The a/c at the room given to us had missing blade fans. It also looked like it had replaced a bigger a/c unit as the free space was poorly covered. Seriously for 3k++ a night this is what you get?!!
Raised this to the front desk and was asked if I want to be upgraded. I told her yes but free of charge because that's not how I expected the room to look like. The staff acknowledged and my request was granted. So if this happens to you dont hesistate to approach them.
Food is so-so. Though they do serve longganisa which is a specialty in the area. The only thing I liked is the staff as they were nice and friendly.
Wifi is spotty so best to use your own mobile data if you do have.
For those planning to have their beach wedding there, make sure to confirm with reservations that there will be no other event held at the same time as your slot. There was another event at the other side of the resort during the wedding, though thankfully they were respectful enough not to play any music during the ceremony. But i just find it greedy and stupid to book two events when their setup is only 50m apart.
- Nati (6/5): Holiday with friends - Not impress about this hotel. Not close being called Santorini of the North. The only similarity is the white color and blue trimmings. I have been to Santorini, Greece for 5 days and not even close. Not worthed for the money.
- elizabeth (6/5): Disappointed - The aircon won't cool. The water won't heat up. Disappointing.
- gedgallego (2/5): Need consistency and Improvements.... - Booked 3nights...was highly recommended. Stayed for 3nights as it was not an easy travel to get here. Wanted to enjoy a little ilocos. Attended a baptism and the hotel was located nearby, about 20mins. It’s also about 50mins from the famous rustic vegan city.
Drove 5+ hours from Pampanga and arrived 6pm Friday.
1st day... staff was good. Helpful and accommodating. The
Property was old but was able to sustain the look it wants to accomplished.
1st nt / 2nd day... breakfast was good. First night in room was comfortable and clean.
2nd nt / 3rd day..was good. Breakfast was good...room was cleaned and it was fresh.
We played tourist and attended the baptism....and this is where the hotel service crumbled.
On our 3rd and last night.....
Our room was not cleaned...
We left the room around 3pm and came back the room was unattended. Dirty dishes from the room service was still in the room and ants was all over.
I called and they just apologized.
The next morning..went to gym at 8am before breakfast and check out....gym was closed at 8:07am still. I asked the help of the personnel to have it opened.....they just pointed the way to th front desk as they are too busy being on their cell phone and sitting by the entrance...
I went and asked the gym to be open...went back to gym and it was still closed at 8:11am...have to walk back again to the desk.....
Got in the gym at 8:15 and did my workout.
Finished by 9am so I can eat breakfast with the wife before check out.....
No buffet so they took our order at 9:11am....
By 9:47am our simple Filipino breakfast was still nowhere to be found. Already livid from the night before...the gym experience was Added.....this breakfast experience put the icing on the cake......had to cxl our food as we stuffed ourselves with fruits and bread while waiting for out breakfast to be cooked.
Had to share ...stay started okay...ended with a disaster...
If you come and stay....bring extra patience...
Staff is relatively nice expect for a couple that is a bit too lazy....
Manager needed to be more present and aware...
Good luck to future lodgers...
- Jun (4/5): - I did not like the rooms. Too many problems like ac not working properly, sleepery floor. Bathroom sink leaks and water was roo hot shower head is too low.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Scenery and tranquility of this resort. Perfect
- Pmae12 (10/5): "View of Beach are Nice" - The overview of beach can relax, the food was great , nice and clean place, the staff is helpful. Beautiful view of ocean when you are in room.I was comfortable lying in bed. The pillows and blanket are smells good. Expensive but you enjoying vacation there.
- sel025 (10/5): Exceeded my expectations - Exceeded my expectations....customer service, staff, rooms, locations, food, amenities are all beyond amazing. My family and myself stayed at the 2 bedrooms. My family LOVE LOVE this Hotel. I will definitely go back and highly recommend to everyone.
we love this place. I love the villa where we enjoyed the place. The crew were all accommodating and the cable car is amazing going down to their restaurant. It is paradise for me. It is expensive but it is worth it. Try visiting the place it is gorgeous. I recommend it.
- stubborngene (8/5): Value for money. Friendly Staff. Great Beach feels. - I love the fact that the beach swim area is not too deep and the fact that it is located in a cove means it wasn't wavy so our toddlers was relatively safe to swim in it. The pool was also nice and clean. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Food was good. Value for money definitely. Beautiful view of the ocean from my room at night. Perfect for just chilling with a drink with the hubby.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff are accomodating and friendly. Rooms are clean.
- RENATO (4/5): Pls do repair. - They must check all for repair. The room was a bit dark. With 4 suckets and 1 is for ref and the other 1 is not functioning. The bidet is not functioning well.
The ladies comfort room near lobby is so dark, 1 light is busted.
The food was great!
Overall, its a bit pricey for this kind of hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - hospitality of the staff 😍
- KAELadventures (6/5): Needs improvement - Price for money is 👎🏼
Very very poor wifi 👎🏼
Hotel staff at reception 👍🏼
other staff you see and meet around the vicinity 👎🏼
Great food and drinks 👍🏼
Great view 👍🏼
Toilets fair
Beddings comfy and clean
Activities not so.....
- Verified traveler (2/5): In need of much maintenance! - Very run down with mismatched items. Stayed 2 nights for the location and supposed beauty of the beach. We were given a room, toilet did not have enough pressure to fill tank to flush, would take about 10 minutes to flush, noticed immediately toilet seat was too short for the bowl, as if they were bought and just thrown on because they didn't want to spend money to put correct one in. Shower was not attached to the wall, When called, they came and said the toilet was fixed, they pushed the shower in with a screw, not bolted, when we complained the second time, they said they would move us to another room. We packed everything up, moved 1 floor down to another room with same short toilet seat issue but was actually not screwed into the bowl. Shower was also loose and unsafe. When asked to fix the toilet seat, they said they would fix it the next day. We insisted on a seat we can sit on for the toilet so they brought another in that was also clearly the wrong size, They did not return to fix it the next day. Seat in the dining room were broken and dirty, breakfast was decent. We knew many of the other guest and all complained of the same issues. There is so much potential and it should be a great alternative to the more expensive Villas, I cannot blame the workers totally because this is a management issue and correcting maintenance is not a priority. Mild temporary fixes are used and nothing is ever fixed. Staylite Hotel in Candon, much better.
- Marie (4/5): - I felt that I was staying in a motel 6 instead of a resort. It was not well maintained. I expected more for the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, great breakfast buffet, awesome view
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property. Lots to do. We went kayaking, snorkeling and did the Zip Line. So much fun. The food was good, except a few times they were out of menu items and didn’t tell us before hand.
- divergara29 (4/5): Overrated - wouldn't recommend. - Booked an overnight stay for New Year's Eve 2018. Here's what my wife and I experienced in a nutshell:
1. Food - kind of bland. The dinner buffet wasn't exceptional. For Php699 per person, we expected a LOT more on terms of variety and quality. Breakfast wasn't spectacular but the food was fine.
2. Room - old. Cozy, but old. Corners were worn and the walls and ceilings are showing signs of deterioration. The bathroom was old, unkempt and unmanaged. Fixtures were tarnished. Running water was cold. Shower never heated up. Cable TV was distorted also. Bed was comfortable and we actually had a good night's sleep.
3. Beach - cleanliness is about 5/10. Bits of trash around with the occasional broken bottle.
4. Price - too expensive for what you're getting.
5. Facilities - old. Rusty. Broken railing, broken shed, broken bench rest. Dirty pool. Cloudy waters.
Overall - it's a refurbished and renamed old resort (Ilocos Marina Resort?) which was apparently repaired and repainted. There's a bit of charm in the place but for the price, you wouldn't be getting your money's worth.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The beach is safe for kids and clean
- Sasa (8/5): - Hotel is nice. I like the acoustic music. Staff our friendly. The food is good especially the vIvan longganisa. 😀
- Fred (8/5): - The place itself is worth every dollar we spent.Location, ambience and foods are great. staff's were very accommodating and courteous
- Gwen (2/5): - I asked beforehabd if the room i booked is good for 4 oax and if there will be extra charges. They said none. Upon arrival i was being asked to pay for extra. Plus there was no wifi. Also the staff doesnt know how to handle the situation.
- Nette (4/5): - Room outdated , not up to standard and dirty. Toilet and bath smelly. Wifi not working. Surrounding inside hotel is a mess and disorganised.
- Marilyn (10/5): Phillipine typhoon experience - It was absolutely wonderful. The people treated us like royalty. So caring throughout the typhoon. Moving us to safety, bringing us meals and upgrading us. Taxi to the bus . We loved the meals especially the breakfast which mr Bubbles hotel provided, it went for hours. So enjoyable at the beach. Lovely to see the kids playing, the fishermen and the beautiful clean pool. We will never forget their kindness to us.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Needs improvement! - Their facilities needs improvement. The aircon in our room doesn't function well. They didn't even tranfer us to another room instead they gave us an electric fan but still, our room is hot! Their pool is dirty, I think they don't replace water on the pool.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Took too long for check in - It took us almost an hour to register because my name was never registered wd Vitalis white sand. Also i originally choose Deluxe North wing with 3 guest. I was told to get north need to pay extra. Very disappointed!!
- CJ & Matt (6/5): Hotel by the beach. - Management should add more cabana for the guest. Check often if lightings are functioning, Water pressure is low and often runs out of hot water. No food variety, all the same everyday. uncomfortable bed, requested for roll-away bed, they gave us thick bkanket instead. Over-all, location is ok if you prefer to just hang out by the beach. Will still recommend to friends.
- Denise (8/5): 25% Disappointed - Aircon was too noisy while on operation and not that cold. Room is not that clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): We stayed at the north wing and it's quite old. - The shower is clogged and has low pressure. Aircon is good. The price of their food is unreasonablre and it's not that delicious. The free breakfast is good though and has a big serving. Overall, it's a good hotel but I won't be coming back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My friend and I had a great time. Hotel was supposedly fully booked because we couldnt get two straight nights. However, the hotel and its facilities were not at all crowded. We had the pool to ourselves, the beach to ourselves and the shuttle to Vitalis Villas was just us...and the driver.😊
Good hearty breakfast to go with the accommodation. Staff was very helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Unsatisfactory - I requested queen bed on my reservation but when we came to the room it was two double double beds and when i told the staff they said "sorry, wala ng queen bed" and she just pushed the two beds into one. The aircon is not functioning, it was too hot in the room. You have to pay for everything literally everything, the tent infront of the beach, the beach chairs, etc. the beach and the sand is the only free on the beach side. The pool is too small! The picture is taken on an angle that makes the pool big, but on reality it's not!
- Nathaniel (2/5): Hotel is close to the beach - There was no hot water inside the room .
Elevator is non existent, plus there was no aircondtion on the information desk.
Scenery is perfect
- MARIVIC (6/5): VERY BAD STAY EXPERIENCE! - VERY BAD..
NO INTERCOM OR PHONE/ NO FRIDGE / TV IS SMALL AND NOT FLAT SCREEN / POOR ROOM LOCATION .. VERY BAD!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Expensive but worst place to visit - The place and management are horrible
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good but hard to find due to confusing name.this is bad at night especially for first time visitor.
Overall stay is good
- Verified traveler (6/5): Excellent staff and food, outdated and dusty room - Room was a bit old, needs maintenance. Not as good as expected for the price we paid. Wall paint was warping. Floor and headboard was dusty. Staff and food though were excellent.
- Livi (6/5): Oceanview turned out to have a Kubo Roof view - The staff are nice as they were able to give me a twin bed room with an Ocean view despite the Queen bed i booked since that was the only room available on line. My son and arrived at the hotel around past 10pm and was not able to check the view. The room seemed old despite the newness of the resort. For a room that charged me 4500 per night i think it is not worth it. There wasn't even a small table in between beds to put my eyeglasses and my phone. The supposedly dining table was at the corner of the room too far from the power plug to connect the water pot. The bathroom window was a shock as you would see outside the hallway didn't have a curtain. I had to put wet tissues to cover the glass so whoever walks at the hallway will not see the bathroom. The bathroom is another story. By the way, there isn't a phone to call the front desk. I had to call their mobile number to get in touch with them. It seemed that the management forced the opening of the hotel too much and sacrificed comfort and quality of customers. There are still a lot of improvement they can do with the rooms specially on how to make it more cozy and comfortable. I would still come back and visit the resort but if they will give me the same room 211 in the northwing, I'd leave and look for another resort.
- WAW (10/5): Excellent time - Hotel was very clean, staff were all very friendly, and the beach was very clean and inviting
- emmanuel (8/5): A taste of luxury and a bit of provincial life - It was great for our family bonding. Foods were great and the place was awesome.... TV is still not flat screen and very poor cable. Wifi is okay but only good for one gadget per room. Not all with gadgets can access it. But, hey! we went there to appreciate the place and the nature. :-)

- Chaw Chung (6/5): Staff and location are great but..... - My first time visitors from China and my family stayed over at this hotel en route from Pagudpud to Angeles city. The location and the staff were good/great in their respective order. However, the management should really look into the quality of the shower heads in the rooms, ie. they are really cheap looking and most importantly, do not deliver a steady stream when used. Worst of all, I only found out from my visitors that they were unable to use the shower on the following morning of our departure, ie. the delivery of water was just a trickle and of course, no hot water. For the price of room in this category, this should never have happened. On hindsight, I should have taken pics of the shower heads to illustrate how bad it really was. For all visitors, you should really make it a point to check the water delivery of shower in the room when you check in, lest my comments have been taken seriously and quick enough actions have been taken to replace the unsatisfactory sanitary hardware.
