Guest Reviews
- Johana (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay! The pools were beautiful and relaxing, making them perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The apartment was well-decorated and clean. Everything was super convenient—just 15 minutes away, we found a great outlet mall in Canóvanas that features K1 indoor racing, an arcade, Golden Corral, and Popeyes.
Right across the street, there’s a Walmart Supercenter plaza that includes Walgreens, Marshalls, Burger King, and KFC, among others, so we never had to go far for shopping or dining.
Old San Juan was only about 45 minutes away, and both Google Maps and Apple Maps made navigating easy. Renting a car was definitely the best choice since everything was just a short, scenic drive away.
We truly enjoyed our stay—I’m extremely picky, and I will definitely go back! 🌴🏊♀️🚗
- Genaro (10/5): - That place is the paradise, the swimming pool is excellent.
- Gerardo D Gonzalez (10/5): - Would rent it again!
- Jose (10/5): - Everything was great. Kid friendly and very clean.
- Lynesja (8/5): - Amazing family friendly villa
- Angel (10/5): - El área recreativa muy buena
La propiedad necesita mejoras en la infraestructura
- Yazmin (10/5): - Great communication even before we landed and got to property as well as during the trip!
- Waldina (10/5): - This is the second time I stay at Aquatika Paraiso Tropical (at different villas). Both were very nice and the ammenities are amazing. I would definately stay there again.
- Laurimar (10/5): - We really enjoyed.
- Candice (10/5): - Nice and clean 👌
- Ivette (10/5): - Awesome !!
- Daileen (8/5): - Pasamos una gran estadía, y la comunicación siempre estuvo súper bien
- David W (10/5): - Great for large families on a budget who don’t want a hotel experience
- Roberto Vargas (10/5): - Aquatika is a wonderful place to stay at for vacation. Also great for kids.
- Margarita (10/5): - The owner communicated very well and check in was easy.
- David (4/5): - I’ll start with the good, this place was really something 15 years ago, you are located relatively close driving distance to so many great things to do (not in Loiza). Now with the bad, I picked this place because it was listed as a villa with private pool and beach there were even pictures that showed this beautiful wooden pier that went out to the beach. This is an apartment complex that is so private as there are 300 or more units. The units themselves are pretty safe as the property is completely fenced with only one way in/out for autos and 1 gated access to the beach. The area that the complex is located is not in the greatest area, we heard gun fire on three of the nights we were there, during the day the area is relatively quiet though. The apartment itself was good enough to sleep in, as I am a retired Marine and slept in way worse places but I expected way better for something listed as a villa that I paid a fair chunk of change to rent. The apartment is filthy from the non working range hood covered in a thick coat of grease to the 1/2 inch of greasy dust covering the refrigerator. The cabinets are pealing apart with the cabinet and countertops around the kitchen sink have considerable water damage. The amenities in the kitchen (pots and pans and cooking utensils) is okay if you only plan on warming something up but this is not a stocked kitchen and you will not be cooking a meal there. I have so much more to say but there is not enough room to continue.
- Darline P (10/5): - I love it
I want to come back soon
The Rbnb was nice just the way I seen it in the picture clean with a lot of equipment the Kichen have everything even stuff to cook
I give it a 5 start
The balcony was nice and clean my kids enjoy it
And a lot of space to for my 4 kids
Also nice view
In one words “Clean”
- Glendrea (10/5): - Our unit was very clean and refreshing! The owner communicated effectively from start to finish, we could not connect however via the wi-fi after multiple attempts 🙃
I’d highly recommend for any future traveler whose bringing along both small and adolescent aged children. Multiple family oriented activities on ground.
- Gustavo (8/5): - Enjoyed the Peace ✌️
- Patrick (10/5): - Beautiful location, apartment was nice and roomy. Great pools and private beach.
- Ryan Keith (6/5): - This property has some really good qualities and some really bad ones as well. Ill start with the actual condo first. It served its purpose. It was a place to sleep and shower. Dont expect anything above and beyond the bare minimum basic necessities. It was not clean. We had to wash dishes and silverware prior to using. We had to buy our own toilet paper and trash bags.
As for the resort itself; we were very pleased. The grounds and pools were well maintained and clean. The beach was absolutely perfect.
Its not in the safest neighborhood. Our adult children were in the pool one night at 11pm and the security guard told them they should go back to the room because its not safe to be outside after dark due to the cartell being in the area. We also had some property stolen from us while at the beach by a group of local kids that snuck onto the property. It wasnt anything valuable. There is a convenience store located right outside the gates, other than that there is nowhere to shop or eat in the area.
- Heather (10/5): - Great communication about check in. Felt very safe. Loved the variety of pools, beach. Appreciated the closet with balls, boggie board. Like they had washer and dryer. We were not able to log on to Wi-Fi. Would have been helpful to have a map of the property.
- Dawnyielle (10/5): - This property was pretty great. Family oriented and had everything we needed included beach materials. Hair product , kitchen materials and and seasonings and the ac works great. A lot of pools and options for people who stay. The rain may have cut the electricity off for a few hours which was a bit like um ok. But over all they got it back up and was happy . It’s a bit far like 30-50 min from San Juan and other areas but definitely worth it.
- Suilariam (10/5): Brutal - Queremos volver a quedarnos, el apartamento tiene mucho potencial y está lleno de características inigualables. Nos sentimos como en casa, todo tenía aire, hay dos baños y medio. Perfecto para una escapada.
- Norberto (2/5): - We were not happy upon arrival . To start email states 3rd floor and we got the second floor . The apt did not meet expectations at all broken kitchen doors, sofa only sits two ppl. Shower curtain did not stay up in bathroom . Towel holders broken we found an iron board and no iron. Master bedroom bed was rock hard . When a family books a vacation we would like to feel like we were on vacation and this did not feel like such . Would we book at this property again absolutely not !
- Maria (10/5): - Everything is perfect
- Jesus R Corona (10/5): - Great place !
- Drew (8/5): A good resort if it fits your needs. - Overall the stay was great. The unit we had definitely looked a bit aged but it was clean and provided a good amount of space for the 5 adults in our group. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything we would need, an electric grill was available, there were some pool toys and folding chairs as well. Gated entry was quick and easy unless someone at the front of the line was checking in, then it could be quite delayed which happened to us a couple times in the three days we were there. The beds weren't overly comfortable but were functionally fine. They do require you to wear a bracelet during your stay so you can use the pool and beach which cannot be taken off and got a little annoying. There's not a lot happening outside the resort but it was reasonably close to stores and some restaurants. About a 40min drive from San Juan. Probably great for families that mostly want to play in the pool/lazy river and stay at the resort's beach, but not ideal if you plan to spend a lot of time in San Juan.
- Maria (10/5): Great family time and the best location - During our family stay at Aquatika, it was fantastic! The apartment was spacious, well-equipped with amenities, clean, and roomy. The staff was excellent, and communication with the host was outstanding. The pool was clean and inviting, and the view was breathtaking. It was truly the best time ever!
- Rebecca (2/5): - Really needs updated. A little paint would go long way. I believe the resort was very miss leading. Long walk to very little beach. I would never let my parents come hete again. Our apartment smelled so bad. I believe something died in laundry room. Would not come back.
- Alyssa (10/5): - Super fun property. Kids absolutely loved the pools and beach. Everything we needed in the apartment with 3 bedrooms and two living rooms it was so spacious
- Heidi (8/5): - Overall it was good and had plenty of space for my family of 6. The apartment itself could use some renovation as there is broken outlets hanging from the wall, doors that did not work properly , broken fans, and areas that need painted. Shower water pressure was also poor if 2 people were showering at once. These were things that would definitely bother some people
- Patricia R (10/5): - The property was well maintained, but the area is low budget
- Brooke Marie (6/5): - The apartment was quite dirty, particularly the kitchen dishes and stove. The windows did not work properly in the main room: 2 would not open at all, and 3 of the hinges were broken & would not stay open. None of the ceiling fans were operational, all of them required remote controls which were missing. This made the main living areas unusable due to the heat.
The pool lights weren’t operational in all except 1 of the pools. The water park/water slide are only turned on for Saturdays, so we couldn’t use these at all. My kids were disappointed. There are amenities in the property listing that aren’t actually available for use.
Lack of communication between the property management company and the security gate, so we waited nearly an hour to complete our check-in.
- Sean (8/5): - Sadly I have to say that the unit 5701 hasn't been upgraded or maintained very well. There was a list of details that need attention, which I wouldn't mind much about it, but I was so disappointed about the dampness smell specially inside the cabinets, I even saw some mold spots, on my opinion they need a good dehumidifier system in every room, the paint in one of the bedrooms was peeling off and a big peace was hanging just about fell off, the property was just perfect size for a group of six, The location was the best I just had to walk out of my back door to be in the pool and the communication with the property manager was excellent,
- Dustin (8/5): - Property felt safe and secure. We had 3 children with us and they enjoyed the pool and beach area. Bring your own toilet paper and trash bags! Room met our needs but ne ded some TLC. They are trying to update but the little things, make you ask why didn't they fix that! For example, shower handle is so loose I thought it was going to fall off, the towel rod, literally fell off every time you touched it, the dryer vent was t attached to dryer or to the outside, the nicest bed wasn't in the master, the only bedroom with a tv wasn't the master (didn't really bother me but it could others), the walk in closet only had a keyed deadbolt and wouldn't stay closed, no washcloths or hand towels, only 3 beach towels, and not enough comfortable seating in living room. I would stay again but be prepared, we arrived at 2 am and it was easy to check in. We went to a Walmart the next day and purchased washcloths and hand towels and beach towels that we left for the next people. There were 2 beach chairs and a boogie board as well as 2 portable baby cribs. 40 minutes to San Juan and fajardo.
- Julio (10/5): - This a gr3at place for families, very helpful in o ur needs
- April (10/5): - It had everything we needed! All pools were clean. Hot tub was hot closest to the beach. We never had to worry about anything. Plenty of clean bedding. Property is great for families. Low key and relaxing!
- kylee (10/5): - The space was perfect, the beds were comfortable enough, the kitche. Was stocked with for 4-5 people, plentry of cookware, beautiful view off the balcony, amazing pools and lush grounds, gorgeous beach a few minute walk amd withing the gated communitry. Felt very safe. Found a hair in a pillow case when we arrived. Some of the walls have holes where there were things hanging that clearly came out of the dry wall. This didnt bother me but may bother some. The host is super nice. He was very helpful with clear directions and was able to accommodate us when we needed an extra night due to a flight cancelation. I would definitely stayhere again. close to great beaches in carolina and loquillo. Bring snorkel gear. El yunque. The rai forest is a 35 min drive and well worth it. We hope to be stay here again. Parking right outside in a designated spot.
- spencer (10/5): - Beautiful resort just 10 miles from the airport would definitely recommend clean and comfortable. easy check in and check out.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a great place to stay. We loved the pool and beach access.
- William (4/5): - We arrived at 12:30am and there was no toilet paper and cockroaches on floor plus fire alarms kept beeping. There were 5 of us staying and only left 5 towels, NO wash clothes, dish rags, or beach towels. Key to beach was not provided but did get once I texted. Maintenance crew removed fire alarms and did NOT replace, so we stayed with no fire alarms. Yikes. The grounds, pools, and beach were wonderful. And I hate to say it but I would probably stay here again just because of that! This place could have been so good with a little TLC it made me sad.
- Jean Carlos (10/5): - what i did not like is that we have to be with the wrist band all the time and it is very uncomfortable
- Kenisha (10/5): - The property was clean. Loved the beach and pool access. Communication with the owner was great. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
- karen (10/5): Bring your camera - MUST READ! The unit that we stayed offered more than we expected. It was beyond fully equipped, and we lacked nothing. The owner of the property Alonso was very responsive to any questions and helpful with information. The home was spectacular and spacious. I was surprised with all the pools/lazy river/private beach-were all amazing. We found fallen coconuts and drank delicious coconut water-right off the land. Many community friendly dogs. I loved watching the wildlife, green parrots, iguanas, and listening to the iconic Coqui frogs. The water features/some showers at the pools were not working, and others were under construction. The city is a little sketchy, parade w/a canon shooting off at 3 am scared us, but it connects to many larger areas (both directions) with lots of food choices. We found a Walgreens and Walmart super center close by. Side note-stay on main roads at night and research city safety before taking pictures-some places don’t like tourists. Make sure to book your reservations for ferry trips to bioluminescent islands in adavce-they book up fast. San Juan, Old San Juan, T-Mobile District, El Yunque Rain Forest, Fort (Castles), Plaza Las Americas (mall). I would go back to this in a heartbeat. Also make sure if checking luggage, pack light (washer/dryer in room) and leave room for souvenirs. SJU weighs and measures everything. You can buy large bottles alcohol at your terminal and they will seal for you to take on plane. Enjoy your trip—-we surly did.
- Norberto (10/5): - It’s was very quiet area near the beach, local stores I really loved the property.
- Lupita (8/5): - Directions were great. The condo was much bigger than expected. The resort was beautiful and the beach was amazing. We were able to check in early which was great. I would recommend maybe providing some essentials like coffee, paper towels and TP. Little things to get you started. There was a little market close by so it wasn't a big issue. I would definitely return.
- Jaileen (10/5): - Great atmosphere, great host and great experience.
- Shannon (10/5): - There were many different activities to take advantage of. The unit was even better than expected. Beach access 😎
- Jason (10/5): - Overall my family and I had a great time! Our 3bdrm, 3 bath condo with a rooftop terrace was beautiful! It was clean, had all amenities listed, but there was very little communication with the realtor we rented from. For instance, we didn't realize until the last day, that we had a key for the beach gate. Also, I was supposed to get a call from the property 24 hrs prior to check in and didn't hear from him until after we had landed in PR. That being said, we had an amazing time! We never once felt unsafe, or unhappy with the area. We will definitely be going back next year!
- Shari (8/5): - We liked that the location was an easy drive to San Juan and the Ceibo ferry lot. Close to rain forest. It was 2am and raining when we first got there, so the location was a little challenging. Wifi was VERY spotty, and TV also lost signal the little bit we had it on. No lazy river but had a small private beach. Had tons of goodies in closets to use.
- Megan (6/5): - We loved all the pool options, the easy access to the beach, the calm atmosphere, and that there were pool floats available to use (even if they all had holes in them). I was not happy that we were told they would have a crib available for my 1 year old and when we got there, there was no crib. When I messaged them about it, they ignored me and never responded about it. There was a leak in the roof over the doorway to one of the bedrooms, which didn't bother us too much, we just kept a towel on the floor there, but again when I mentioned it to them, they ignored me. I also would have really liked if they had some sort of condiment selection for cooking. They only had pepper in the cabinet. Having at least salt would have been nice. There also is no baking pan or dish for the oven, only frying pans. We made due with what we had and overall had a relaxing time.
- Matthew Robert (8/5): - ACCESS TO POOL AND BEACH.
- Vicente (10/5): - My family and I stayed at this property for a week. We were very pleased with the overall
Condition of the apartment and amenities offered by the premises. The apartment was clean, spacious, great location in building, not too much of a walk up. There is no elevator, but the walk up was not bad at all. We had an issue with hot water. We were traveling with a toddler and the water was too cold for showers or baths for him. When I reached out to our apartment representative/owner, he was very accommodating and sent a tech the same day and he resolved the issue very quickly. The staff on premises are very friendly and I loved how they enforce safety rules and were on top of security in front gate. You have access to a private beach, soccer field, volleyball field, two or three Children’s playground, and a basketball court. As far as I could tell, The guests were respectful and considerate of times and loudness. It’s a very family oriented place and peaceful, if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy. I do suggest a car for traveling whether you need to go to a drug store, Walmart, or supermarket. Night life is cozy and not too much of a ride away. San Juan was about a 35 minutes drive. Weekend was the best because you see a mixture of locals and tourists in the island enjoying the outdoors, restaurants, local pubs, vendors, and at the beach. Expect some traffic during these days. This is a place we would definitely love to come back to!
- Tara L (4/5): - Most of the amenities weren't able to be enjoyed. No golf clubs for mini golf, 2 out of 3 hot tubs closed, pools and only hot tub dirty, 3 tv's but only 1 had a cable box, bugs inside of room upon entry, dirty fly glue stick hung in livingroom, walls had burn marks and air conditioning unit in living room extremely loud. Spend a little more money and go somewhere nicer to really enjoy your vacation.
- Cassandra (8/5): - The location of the condo itself is great- near the pool with the hot tub and short walking distance to the private beach. Had floaties, beach toys, mini golf clubs, tennis rackets, etc so you can fully enjoy all the activities on the property. Sadly the water features, fountains and slide were only turned on on Saturday and Sunday and only on the main pool; it would have been fun to to have those available all week. The balcony was great to relax in the evening and look at the stars. Having the washer/dryer in the unit was also extremely helpful! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes/utensils you need! Unfortunately the oven hardly worked which limited our ability to do the dinners we wanted. The owner was responsive and attempted to get it fixed. Overall, this is a great place to stay!
- Thomas (10/5): - The property was beautiful and the apartment clean and spacious.
- steffanie noreen (8/5): - This property had great bones and was set up for a large family/group to enjoy an extended stay. Unfortunately maintenance issues including a broken dishwasher, wifi that wouldn't connect to the internet, and a bedroom AC on the fritz were problematic. Even worse was the property manager who either didn't respond or gave the same reply repeatedly without fixing the issues. He also tried to charge a wristband fee that wasn't mentioned in the listing.
- Ashley (10/5): - Very noce
- Cesar (6/5): - The place had no hot water and the maintenance guy could not fix because the box where he needed to work was locked and we had no water the whole stay. The guy I was communicating with responded always way too late to my questions or requests and that made the stay more challenging.
- KRISTINA (8/5): - Property was amazing . Only issue is people dogs where walking around not on lease not supervised.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was pleasantly surprised when i got to complex, which is a gated community, no one can get in without special access. What really caught my and my family attention was the home that was appointed to us, it was spacious, clean, more than enough rooms and bedding, great kitchen/dining/ living space. We also had access to the roof top balcony which had a grill, table and lounge chairs. We were then greated with a frontal view of the 3 out 8 pools that are available for residents to use, including a hot tub. The only down fall was that was no lazy river (the one in photo) and they got rid of the gym. Our home, had a few leaks (but we did land in a big storm, not sure if that had to do with it) and the door to the balcony was stuck/off the track, which I managed to find a way to open the door and we finally got a chance to enjoy the outdoor space. But in all, you have 8 pools, hot tube, washer/dryer, loaded kitchen, 3 bathrooms (2 w/showers), private property beach access, gated community, mini golf, enough out door space to exercise, green spaces, 3 gas stations within 10 mins, locals selling fresh fruits out side of gates, walmart/golden coral/movie theater, walgreens, mini shopping outlet with 20 mins. Also close to Pinones where you can find great tasting inexpensive food and drinks of the island. Best of all 30 mins or less to the airport and to San Juan restaurants, night life, and beaches. You are also close to The Yunque, Luquillo Beach (one of my favorite beaches.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful experience we will go back again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We loved the property and it’s location. The grounds were very clean and we love the pools, volleyball, mini-golf, access to the beach (small but private) and tennis courts. The basketball court was only half-court but my boys enjoyed playing anyway. Loved the parking outside our apartment. The communication with the owner was great. He responded quickly. However, We were not happy with the condition of the apartment and with what it supplied. We had to buy our own dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper and hand soap. The equipment to use the amenities were poor. Basketball was flat, no volleyball, no mini golf clubs and no options for beach equipment. No options to even rent equipment. The lock on the front door was not very secure snd the lock on the sliding door was broken s as no didn’t even lock.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was excellent. The beach, pool, & amenities were great. Def recommend
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The pics online make the property appear better than it is. If you are looking for a budget friendly place to sleep and that’s it, this might do the trick. Other than that, I would not recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The pools were amazing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I want to thank Alonso and the lovely staff that made our stay pleasant and joyful. Thank you!
- JOSE (8/5): Good facilities - Very good facilities. Security, confortable apartment and very clean green and pool areas.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing experience nice employees clean environment
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a great place for kids and made for a very relaxed vacation. There is a lot to do right on site. I also enjoyed being a bit removed from the tourist traps of San Juan and Carolina.
- Zuylen (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful thank you for your service
- Worthy (10/5): - Good location with a variety of pools and private access to the beach. The apartment is spacious and comfortable.
- Andy (8/5): - Great location, pool area rocks on the floor too sharp and hurt feet.
Unit needs some update, I love Puerto Rico !!
- DadOfBoys (10/5): - The concept of the place is brilliant for families. The staff is all friendly and competent. The pools and grounds are great. The one real weak point is something that plagues all vacation rentals and the tropics, maintenance. Everything made with any steel in it was a bit rusty and everything plastic was sun bleached. Thats just the tropics. Some prior guests had managed to lose the minigolf clubs for our unit and broke the tennis rackets and left the gas in the grill on so the tank was empty. Not all guests are considerate. All in all my family still had a great time and we vastly prefer Aquatika to staying in a regular hotel. We would go back in a heartbeat.
- Yeissy (10/5): Love Aquatika Loiza.!!!! - The minute we step in we felt in love. It was my boys first time and to my surprise they immediately started planning for next years vacation. They even call there aunts to telll her we coming back and you guys staying here with us. Staff at the front gate were really helpful. The security it’s really good. Pools are amazing. We definitely staying here again on our next vacation to Puerto Rico.
- Chad (10/5): Awesome time - Great family place
- Verified traveler (4/5): Roach infestation in 2401 - Stayed in 2401 and there was roaches all over the kitchen! Mostly tiny baby ones but lots of them. Contacted person about it and they said exterminator was there. Highly likely if they kept coming out. These roaches were running all over and even climbing in the fridge when you open the door. Was not a good experience. We bought bug spray from Walmart which was about 15min away. Constantly spraying when we saw the roaches. After 2 days, we didnt see as many but I would spray before we left or went to bed. Our rooms were fine, just the kitchen infested with bugs. Tried to get a refund and leave, it wasnt an option nor did we want the extra expense to in paying for another place. We couldn't get a refund or we would have stayed somewhere else for sure! No one should have to pay to cohabitate with roaches! The unit was clean but still roaches! Will not be staying in that unit again! The property is very nice, private and secluded. Once you leave the gates area, that's where the wild life comes in. Mostly everything shuts down around 9pm so if you want some food late night, head to walmart, fast food is your only option after locals shut down. They have KFC, little ceasar, burger king (by walmart) and McDonald's (by aquatika) all close by. We enjoyed our stay, would have been better without the roaches!
- Jessica (10/5): Great for families - Quiet, peaceful property close to the beach and away from the metropolitan area. I extended our stay by an extra night here with my kids and pet.
- Sara (8/5): Amazing hotel! - We booked a suite at the hotel. It took us awhile to find the hotel - the sign “Aquatika” was on the side of a building which we kept missing. Once we found it though, and got in, we were very pleased. The suite was huge and had a proper kitchen. It also had an upstairs and a balcony. We had more than enough space for all of us. The beach was fabulous, as was the pool area. One of the pools (the bigger one) has Little Rock’s around it which hurt our feet, so we generally used the smaller pool. The “smaller” pool was still a good size. No front desk, so we communicated with staff via text message. This also worked out okay. Overall, we were very pleased and our stay was very enjoyable.
