Guest Reviews
- Cesar (10/5): - Very good and friendly staff
- Bon (10/5): - Old building but clean. Close to everything, pick up locations for excursions, las palapas, restaurants.
- Kavya (6/5): - It's fine to sleep for a night , but the area is quite loud and there was no hot water !
- Elizabeth (6/5): - La propiedad está bien ubicado de noche precauciones y por ello no tiene que ver nada en la televisión. Lo recomiendo para un mínimo presupuesto.
- mohammed Asif (4/5): - no hot water, no clean bedsheets and itchy as well.
Very noisy as its next to main street, windows are not sound proof atall.
Staff is very good and helpful.
- nick (10/5): - Great location. Close to everything
- Mayela (10/5): - Area was a little noisy
- Francisco (8/5): - Good value, location, helpful staff.
- wilhelm (2/5): - Not a good place
- Gustavo (8/5): - Buen lugar cómodo buen precio
- Nickashay (8/5): - Nice people good surrounding
- Jose (10/5): - The ppl in the counter was really helpful and polite
- Yomaira (8/5): - Two things: There is a problem with hot water and the noise on the streets because they have bars and restaurants around. So, be ready for it when you there. Other than that, I’m happy with everything else. The staff is pretty nice, very helpful and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely recommend it.
- Joseph (4/5): - Very poor check in experience. The noise in the hallways was LOUD, every sound will echo, and the doors are poor quality. After not being able to sleep because of the noise, I remembered I had some ear plugs in my luggage, these helped a lot. If you're going to stay here, bring earplugs. The TV remote could not change channels. There was no cup or glass, so could not have a glass of water. Oh, did I mention how LOUD it was? The wifi was good.
- donald (10/5): - It would have been better if it had a self service breakfast
- MONICA YULIANA (6/5): - Bueno
- SATOKO (10/5): - Wifi is only able to use in common area
- Segundo (10/5): - Is excellent hotel
- Marie (2/5): - Horrible Hotel in a party place super dirty i did a booking online arrivd at 10 pm there and then a lady at the front desk told me its too late now and they are fully booked i just came from the airport with really heavy luggage and she didnt help me at all to find a new hotel never go there
- Maria (10/5): - Completamente céntrico,cerca de todo,tiendas,restaurantes,ADO,mercados.
- Maria (10/5): - Todo está cerca,autobuses,tiendas,restaurantes,😊
- Ronald (8/5): - Muy bien
- Phillip (8/5): Nice but needs a little updating - The hotel is older with a fresh look. Old school keys for the room.
The bed was really creaky and kept me awake all night. The bathroom was very small and the hot water took nearly 20 mins to get warm. They promote water saving but i wasted so many gallons to get a warm shower.
- Sydney (10/5): Can’t beat the price! - Went during COVID so there weren’t many tourist. Stayed here for a night after missing my flight back home, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and accessible it was to everything. You’re right on the main strip of Cancun. You can walk to and from the ADO bus station and take a 8 min taxi or bus to the popular beaches on the hotel zone. Staff was friendly and really happy to have guests. I’m happy I booked here. I would definitely stay here sometime again in the future.
- Janet (10/5): - This hotel was great, excellent customer service. When I go back to Cancun I will definitely stay here and recommend to my friends
- Lovely (6/5): - Customer service was great the young ladies at the front desk was very helpful, the place is in a good location it has everything walking distance and market 28 right across the street I love it. The place has no hot water and no WiFi in the rooms, the lobby is dirty with hair all over the place that was nasty. The rooms was quite clean and reasonably but I wouldn’t stay their for more then one night, that’s my personal opinion and it have better places in Cancun for that price are less. Unfortunately I had no choice and needed a place fast for one night before flying out. But all in all it was ok nothing special.
- Mikael (6/5): Close to AdO - Great central place, close to AdO station.
Meets the purpose of bed and shower. Nothing too fancy.
Bed was soft though.
Room could use more outlets/plugs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Simple hotel for your essential needs. - Hotel was located in the center of all local restaurants, perfect for those who want to wonder around and explore local community and local shops. great cheap places nearby for each meal. great walking distance to ADO bus which travel to Playa del carmen and tourist attractions. spent a whole week and could not complain. Best for those who do not seek luxury or amenities just a place to sleep and washup.
- Donna (10/5): - Ok
All ok
Good enough to me
Clean and nice
Beautiful room
I like conditions shampoo my hair body looks beautiful
- maria (10/5): - loved it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Well this time the humidity was to bad room stink a lot ..never happen before ...I ask recepción but they said they have no other room so I end it up staying in the room with the smell...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was great no complains at all.the staff and most of everything so fast so good..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The shower bathroom wasn't clean at all..but other then that was ok ...
- Delfin (10/5): - They only need to boost the wifi signal to reach the rooms and add mini fridges to keep cold drinks in the rooms. Staff was super nice and helpful.
- Delfin (8/5): - Very clean and nice hotel. Close to everything we needed and the staff were very helpful and kind to us.
They only need to boost the wifi signal to reach the rooms better and add mini fridges to have cold drinks in the rooms.
- Deneen (8/5): - The room was Very clean and comfortable. The location is great if you enjoy walking and experiencing new eateries. We were travelling using THE ADO Bus service which was in very close proximity. We enjoyed the surrounding community services.
- GREG (6/5): - Great location. Front desk staff is nice but if you do not speak spanish you may have a problem. Great location. Just a basic hotel. Can get noisy at night when clubs near by crank up the music. I have stayed here a couple time but this time getting my room cleaned was a major production. The front desk would call housekeeping and the lady would say 20 minutes and when i left and came back 2 hours later it was still not clean. this went on several times :(
- Delfin (8/5): - Close to everything, very friendly staff, very clean and the in room safe for valuables.
- Mike (10/5): - The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like this hotel. Ira location is wonderful.
It is a Lovely place with great services
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff is very friendly, nice and helpful. My only complaint is that there is no cooler in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location and clean room, walking distance to bars, restaurants and stores.
- Zeek (6/5): - The location is great with access to a bunch of restaurants and bars, walking distance to ado bus station and the mercado, you cna take a bus to hotel zone right outside the hotel. Basically only dissapointing thing was the noise from the bars across the street which wasn't so bad when i got a room opposite to the one side on the main avenue. Also hot water takes a long time to come out and when it does it only lasts a few minutes.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff was rude really bad service specially on the front desk
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice property in the downtown area, traffic noise and city noises.
- Abhi (8/5): - The location is great right in downtown Cancún. The hotel is good and rooms are clean and big.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Decent hotel for the price ,great staff, need to update boilers because hot water running out when taking a shower or take a long time to come up
- Felicia (10/5): 2nd visit to Pa'Xa Mama - Centrally located, short walk to ADO, a Chedraui and many restaurants. Buses and taxis easy to get directly outside. Small hotel, clean, comfortable and nice size room. Coffee and cake available in the morning. Stayed in same location last year.
- Marian (2/5): It s a trap . The pictures are fake . - You should NOT list this “ hotel” on your application. Pictures are fake no internet no tv no proper ac dirty smelly sheets.
- Luis (8/5): - located near at bus station and malls, easy to move around Cancun to visit places not spending to much money.
- Helen (4/5): - Windows are broken.
Pillows smell so bad.
Linen not white anymore. It looks dirty white
No phone at the room
Washroom toilet flash is not good, cannot even flash a tissue.
- Hyesu (8/5): - That place overall good!! close to ADO bus station and price was resonable!! However, there’re no hair dryer and WIFI was not working in the room
- amal (2/5): roaches noise - we took our belongings upstairs and brught them right back down to the car so we dont have to bring back roaches with us the window screens are broken so u might as well sleep by the side of a busy road
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Helpful, friendly staff. Everything was just right.
- James (10/5): Worth The Money. Excellent - Definately worth the money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel clean and centrally located - Location is nice and near to resturant, bars and 10 min to beach. I can give ⭐⭐⭐⭐.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Downtown. Food. Shopping.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel close to downtown - The hotel is ok. No fancy amenities. Parking spots if you need it. Good for one night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The concept for Boutique Hotel is for something charm. Staff were friendly, they were all willing to help me all the time. For the price, around $ 35/night is a good price. I would not pay $ 50 because I should get much better options at $ 50.00. If I will have another budget trip to Cancun, I would stay here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the room smelled bad and the bed was dirty when it was given to me.
- david (6/5): - a/c did not work in the first room, they did graciously give us another room... overall it was less than I expected
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good value for money. Right on the main street with very close access to shopping, food and bus. Felt very safe. Rooms were super clean. We got interior room but didn't mind.
There was only 1 charging point in the room (none in the bath). Ambient lighting was little dim for us.
- Victor (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice clean hotel. Location is nice. Few block from the hotel you have a little plaza where you can at amazing food.
- Klaus (8/5): Good Hotel close to everything. - Hotel and Staff were Great! Close to Buses, Supermarket and Zocallo.
Only negative was lack of hot water for shower. Otherwise, great location for Centro Cancun!
- Andrea (10/5): Quality hotel, downtown cancun - We stayed here before we went to a resort. This place was perfect and so very affordable! Very clean, staff was always cleaning hotel space; there was quick coffee and some cake in the lobby daily. Our rooms were always clean, made, and fresh. Restaurants around were cheap & delicious. Staff is so nice & friendly. We had a very late check in (about 1am - late flight) and they were open to take us. I really loved this place & would def go back.
- Herman (2/5): No hot water in our room - I have never ever lived in a hotel without hot water for shower. Thank Pa'Xa Mama for giving me the virgin experience of climbing up and down 3 times to ask why there was no hot water in the room and fix this issue. The first time there was a guy who came to our room and checked that there was indeed no hot water after letting the water run for 5 minutes. I asked to change a room. He said he would go check if there were other rooms available and would be back in a few minutes. I waited and waited. After about 25 minutes, he was still not back. I went downstairs and found him chatting happily with another staff at the front desk. They were having a good time talking. Great. I told them please help us get hot water. The same guy went to our room and again, let the water run for a few minutes and said there was a problem. They didn't provide any solution until I asked to borrow the key to another empty room (with only one bed and we didn't want to switch from a 2-bed room to a 1-bed room) and take hot shower there. Their English proficiency is really excellent, to the extent that I only needed to repeat myself 3 times when I proposed the solution. Finally they agreed. The good things that I have to acknowledge is that the location is close to the ADO bus station. Room was spacious. However, the bed linen has other hotel's logo. I can't explain why they have such bed linen.
- Guillermo (10/5): Very good value for great price. - Great hotel at an amazing price. Although this hotel is located outside of the "hotel zone" its very easy to get there just using one public bus to get there or a rental car. The room my family got was spacious and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint was the bad odor, but I stayed at 2 other hotels in Cancun and noticed that smell it's common due to the ocean. The hotel even offered coffee, tea and coffee cake in the mornings.
- Bea (10/5): Perfect spot close to bus station - I arrived at midnight and was so relieved there was someone at reception. They were friendly and welcoming. The room was sparsely decorated but clean and comfortable -- and quiet! It's a good stopover hotel at an excellent price.
- Greg (8/5): Nice little hotel in the busy part of town - This was a very nice little bo tique Motel be mindful you are downtown Cancun very close to all the shopping very busy maybe a little noisy for some outside all in all this is a very nice small hotel very close to a lot of shops smaller venues and lots of great little things to check out well within walking distance the only drawback that I saw in the morning there was not much hot water but remember you are in Mexico as well as the bathroom had a small step up that did like to stub the toe other than that this hotel was very nice the staff spoke very well English and very helpful in dragging luggage up and down the stairs....its in an area where it's easy to get a cab going anywhere we left at 4 in the morning and there were several cabs out front waiting..... we would stay again if we needed to be in that area... the thing we love the best about this place is if you come out the front door make a left a couple of blocks you'll find a small alley where the people are selling everything from Pizza to jewelry in the evening at the end of that alley there's a small Festival that goes on kids are playing people are selling all of their wares people are playing music absolutely wonderful place to walk around in the evening get a drink something to eat and enjoy downtown Cancun the way it should be enjoyed...
- RICHARD (10/5): Stay again? Oh yes. - This hotel is in the center of downtown. A budget hotel clean, spacious and the staff are friendly. We will definitely stay there again.
- Yury (10/5): Nice and convenient - Right in the middle of good food and night life. Walking distance to ADO bus stop to airport and other Yucatan destinations.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Management attempted to overcharge me for a towel they claimed was difficult to clean. This was despite the fact that what they were charging me was outside of the policy/regulations that I agreed to by signing an agreement form during check in. Terrible resolution.
- Leticia (8/5): Nice hotel clean and good location - I stayed there with my daughter and it
Was clean, comfortable and safe to walk at night Good location
- CURTIS (6/5): Good for what you pay. - We liked everything about the hotel and room except for some details. The price was great. The service was very good. We really liked the location next to a main street, market, restaraunts, and buses. Had issues with hot water, remote controls, only Wifi in lobby, and broken safe. No phone, clock, refrig, or microwave in room. We would stay there again if we could get reliable hot water.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location...the Bus takes you to hotel zone....Lots to see indowntown and good restaurants in the area...great employees...very helpfuland friendly...comfy stay and very clean...you will be amazed.
- Joseph (8/5): I missed my hot water - The room is really nice but I didn’t have hot water and the wifi worked good first day but didn’t work second day. Across the street there was a dance and that went on until 1am on Saturday. I was happy with the place just would have been better with wifi
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was clean and nice for the price. My only grip was that we did not have hot water at 4:00am, which is the time we woke up to catch our flight. That was a little annoying but the rest of the time the hot water was just fine.
- Tomas (10/5): Nice hotel not far from airport in Cancun - Easy arrival, trouble free communication with hotel staff, clean and spacious room, very practical.
- Jessica (10/5): Cute little hotel - We were surprised at how nice the room was. It was small but very clean and the location was sort of like in downtown Cancun. There were lots of places to eat and shop around this area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff is really nice, but speaks little English. The Hotel is safe and convenient, especially for stay nights only, but go for Maya trips during the days.
- Maria (6/5): Works for a night or two - Stopped over for a night before continuing the trip. Simple and OK for a quicker stay. Some really nice local restaurants in the area. Free parking on the street in front.
- sha (6/5): Great location - If you want to be downtown great location. The hotel tries to save on electricity so they do not keep the lights on in the hallways that concerned me with 2 small kids. There is no evelator as well so carrying bags upstairs was a pain. The hotel was clean and well kept
- Carlos (8/5): - EVeything was great rooms clean, only thing is that the hot water would finish but would have to inform front desk and they would fix the problem, staff was nice
- freddy (10/5): Hotel finally - I was on a 10 day trip through oaxaca, Chiapas, Tikal, Belize and Tulum. I stayed in hostel the whole time so I was ready for a good night's rest, warm shower and my own room! This place is close to everything, very clean and nice staff oh and It is great deal!
- AJ (8/5): Excellent stay for the price - I had a very pleasant stay here. Hotel staff were beyond clean. I would go down for a cigarette at 3-4 AM and staff would be cleaning the halls and scrubbing every little peice there is to scrub!
I loved that it was super clean and the room service made sure I had a brand new room everyday!
Wifi worked fine and air conditioning was excellent!
Only bad thing is the hot water. I had to tell the staff a few times about the lack of hot water but they were very helpful and made sure I had hot water within 10 minutes !
Location downtown is excellent with taxis always passing you on Tulum Ave and a big local Mexican food park thats filled with great local foods!
- Spielkraft (10/5): Awesome!! - It‘s a very cute hotel, very clean and renovated!! Awesome location, right next to the supermarket and i. front there’s tons of places to eat!! I saw that this hotel had a great review and I had to see it for myself!! It’s awesome here, I will be back 100%!!
- Travis (6/5): You get what you pay for. - If you need a cheap hotel last minute, this is a great place to stay. It's not the best hotel but at $30 a night you can't really complain.
- ryan (4/5): not bad for the price but not great - we just used the room to sleep so wasn't to bad. small rooms with not much ventilation, check in was fast, no hidden charges at hotel. location is perfect, close lots of little restaurants and right on a main road so bus pickup is easy! also convenient having a good cross walk to get across the road and close to the ADO !
- Verified traveler (6/5): ok for the price and the area - the rooms are not sound proof at all, actually it seems to be the opposite, if someone is even breathing in the lobby you would be able to hear it, especially in the rooms facing internally the building.
The location was perfect for what i needed tho.
- Joey (8/5): Great short stay hotel - One night stopover at this hotel. Chose it because of its proximity to ADO bus station.
Straight forward check in with friendly staff. Room was basic but clean.
Had previously read reviews commenting on problems with hot water in showers. These problems seem to persist with water temperature tepid at best.
Otherwise no complaints.
- Adam (8/5): Great little place - It was a great little place and clean. Easy to find with GPS. Taco spots across the street and Chedraui in walking distance. No fridge or microwave but price was good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 4 days in Cancun - The Pa'xa Mama was pretty much what you'd expect for a hotel in this price range. The pros: it was very clean, and the location was great (R1 bus to the hotel zone stops right outside Just a short walk to the ADO bus station. Lots of restaurants close by, and just a couple blocks to a little market with great Street food options.) The cons: not a lot of luxuries, hot water seems to run out in the early evening, and the WiFi in the rooms goes down a lot.
- Mark G. (8/5): Nice hotel for the price - Nice boutique hotel for what we paid, ac worked well, close to many restaurants, about a 10 min walk from ADO maybe less, no elevator but do have someone to help with luggage...overall good economical place to stay..
- Scott (10/5): Good price, good hotel. - Nice clean hotel. Great place, right by bus station, clean. Nice people. I'll stay there again. Only problem was that hot water wasn't flowing in the morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good price. - Decent hotel, room was very clean and functioning a/c & t.v.! But take note that the hot water seems to run out on the weekends (when more people are there) and water gets on the bathroom floor because there is no barrier between the shower and floor, ask for extra floor towels,
- anon (2/5): no internet connection for one week - no internet connection, nada, for one week! first room was without windows and one overhead 60 watt lite! the housekeeper was the only staff whom was pleasant... keep away!!
- Ahmad (8/5): It's ok to stay one night - They have a friendly staff, and try to help. We stayed there one night before fly home. Room included free self parking but they do not have private parking and you have to park at street.
- BRIAN (8/5): - The location is good, it's a 10 minute walk to the bus station. It was loud ( bass heavy music from down the road) , but I 'm a very light sleeper. The food selection is unreal, with the night market at the park 2 blocks away. The staff are friendly and helpful, it's decent for a 2 night stay or so.
- Arturo (10/5): Arts review - A good cheap hotel in downtown cancun, staff was friendly, room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, if you don't want to be in the hotel zone i would recommend this hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): Central Cancun - Walking distance from parks with local food and souvenirs. Short ride from hotels & the beach. Close to the airport.
