• Kevin (4/5): Disappointing - There was a bat in our lounge on the last evening and we couldn't get it out so I closed myself in my room because I am afraid of them. Also there was some poo on my pillow and sheet on the last evening, not sure if it was a bird or what but I wasn't prepared to sleep in the bed. Otherwise a good experience overall.

• Clifford (10/5): Excellent facilities located in a beautiful quiet setting. Private sitting area outside. - Excellent location. Well stocked kitchen. Host provided lots of helpful information. Pool wasn't clean at any point during our stay. Leaves, etc. floating.

• Ruth (8/5): Very good - Lovely garden and very convenient as it is close to restaurants and activities. The hostess was very friendly and helpful and told us how to get to Cape Vidal and what routes to take or not to take. The cottage is private and comfortable with a gas stove, which would be convenient when there is loadshedding. We had a very enjoyable stay and I would like to come again. The bedroom with the double bed is a bit small, but the bedroom with the two single beds is a good size.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, the staff as well. Cannot wait to come back. A real gem. Thank you once again. Coming back home.....

• Graeme (10/5): Quiet/ value for money - Value for money, in a quiet Cul de Sac, designated under cover parking. Friendly staff. Would definitely use the accommodation again. A standing lamp in the lounge area, fluorescent lighting a bit harsh.

• Noemie (10/5): Authentic accommodation with a lovely garden, owned by a greatly knowledgeable host - Among all the accommodations we have seen from outside on the Main Street, I do believe that St Lucia Wilds was the most charming. The front garden is absolutely fantastic, so is the one in the backend. If our cottage looked a bit oldish, it was well expected as per the pictures on Booking. Frankly all the necessary was there and beds were cosy. The owner Imelda is really lovely, she can tell you many things about the region. She has also been very arranging in terms of scheduling. I strongly recommend it for a nice and cosy stay. -

• Lois (8/5): A restful and comfortable stay, exceptional value for money and full of olde-world nostalgia. - Good location, nice and quiet. The property is a real window into the past....very much part of a bygone age, with memories of childhood family holidays in a simpler time. I found it to be delightful and, apart from the bedroom with double bed, very spacious. Imelda was a charming host, extremely helpful without being intrusive. I would most definitely return if I still lived in South Africa....but then again, who knows? The monkeys executed a textbook and lightening raid on the kitchen and stole my paw-paw! (Papaya) Much stronger and secure mosquito screens would be a BIG bonus. The screen door was closed but they simply pulled it open.

I love your touch of artistic flair all over the place and theirs a certain calmness you bring to the surroundings. Even though it was cold, I much enjoyed the outdoor seating area. The idea of a galary on the premises is super cool. I should add, this is one of the few places I've been at during my stay in SA who is fully prepared for loadshedding. We booked out ontime and Rose was kind enough to keep out luggage for another 3hours until we finished our boat tour. We truly appreciated the gesture 👏 🙏🏽 ❤ None whatsoever

• Juan C (10/5): Excellent accommodation and wonderful hosts - We absolutely loved Santa Lucia Wilds and the owners were wonderful hosts making you feel at home and providing all sorts of useful tips about the area. Our unit was very comfortable, spacious (living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) and very well equipped. Comfortable beds and a quiet environment for a good nights sleep. The private garden with grill was fabulous. Lots of restaurants and shops within a ten minute walk and hiking trail just outside the property. Many thanks to the owners for such a lovely stay. We are looking forward to coming back soon.
