Guest Reviews
- MARI (10/5): また行きます! - オーナーが優しかった。
朝、リスや小鳥が餌を食べに来るのが楽しめた。
ご飯もヘルシーで心がこもっていた。

- Ailsa (9/5): Would absolutely stay here again for the comfortable and cozy vibes. - This was such a cozy stay and Naoko-san made us feel really welcome. Her home cooking is wonderful, I don't think there was a crumb left from any of our meals.
There is a little squirrel who often comes to visit during breakfast as well, we enjoyed watching him.
We chose to have dinner there as well a couple of times and are glad we did. Our host also was able to do laundry for us, and provided everything necessary for us to dry it in our room. We had a vehicle which made it easy to get to the place, it's a bit far to walk anywhere. The first day the road was quite rutted from snow, but subsequent days it had been cleared.
- Dan (10/5): - The host, Naoko, is lovely, the meals are excellent and the location is convenient to a lot of things in Furano. She makes a great coffee. Having a car to get to and from the inn is recommended, though she was helpful for driving others that were staying there around town when their car had a flat tire in the morning.
- Avina Andrea Maria (10/5): Perfect relaxing getaway in a cozy setting - I really enjoyed my stay at this pension. It's very clean and charming. The heating and the facilities are great. It's a modern with central heating. It's an ideal location to unwind, relax, and spend quiet time in the evenings after skiing.
Location: It's located between the Furano and Kitanomine sides (just 5 mins away), and the owner can offer drop/pick up from either location. In that sense, I found it convenient. If you need to go into town, taxis are available tho you may need to pay a pick-up fee. Taxis are available from town to drop you off. However, it's best if you have your own car. Furano itself is a very small town with nothing much to do in winter. Most of the restaurants and bars open in the evenings during winter to cater to the ski crowd. I stayed mainly for skiing, so I was content to just rest after a long day of skiing.
Food: The owner caters for breakfast and dinner. The home-cooked meals are delicious and prepared with a lot of care. Furano town caters more towards evenings/dinner. I mostly had all dinners at the pension.
The best thing about staying here is Naoko-san, the owner who looks after everyone with care and concern. If there's anything you need you can just ask her and she will try her best to accommodate. There was nothing I didn't like.

- Kristel (9/5): Naoko-san bakes the best quiche - we didn’t have chance to tell her as we ordered and it was ready on the date we checke - Very nice environment just like a real home. Comfortable beds and quiet location. For a family of four we had 2 rooms next to each other and while there were other guests during our stay we always felt it was never too crowded. I really enjoy the pace at breakfast, and the cute beautiful cutlery that Naoko-san uses - a change for every meal! Nothing really, just that a car will be best so get around. We had one and no issues to both sides of the resort and town
- Lemon (10/5): - The food was excellent. The host was very friendly and helpful.
- Angeni (10/5): Cozy and peaceful - An incredibly peaceful and cozy stay. Naoko was a warm and hospitable host - providing transport to and from the slopes and discounted lift tickets. Her home cooked breakfasts and dinners were a highlight of each day!
- meini (10/5): I love to stay in such lovey place. - Everything No
- Kathy (10/5): Kind and heartwarming stays. Definitely I will stay here again if I visit furano. - Although this property is not near any ski lift, but Naoko San will send me to ski resort and pick me up when I am done. I can hang out with friends until 9pm (after 9pm would be too late for them).
The room is clean, there is clean & nice bathtub, heater in the room is warm enough to dry all my gloves and so. I preferred Japanese style breakfast rather than western breakfast.
- Jacob (10/5): Awesome experience and highly recommend! - Amazing homely feel about the place, the hosts are beautiful people and can organise everything you need. Lift passes, breakfast, dinner, massages, board wax nothing was too much to ask!
Each morning out car was cleaned of snow and when we left the hosts waved goodbye from the street!
If you want a loving authentic experience this place was amazing! Cosy and close to the ski hill! Amazing hosts
- Nicharee (9/5): Superb -
- Wattana (10/5): Cozy and lovely. - Everything, might not suit for someone looking for parties or entertainment but if you want to relax and spend time slowly.
This is the place where you looking for. Nothing
- Grace (8/5): Very good - You have to pay about 1,500 yen for the breakfast but it's worth it. The menu changes every day and you can add coffee / tea. The bathroom facilities are shared but it's always well maintained. Don't understand why the heating fee is separately charged if you're going in winter - why not just add it to the room bill? It's 500 yen per night so not extortionate but it's not "optional" in my view since it's already turned on when you go into the room.
- Supakarn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (9/5): Relaxing and very familiary. - Peaceful and relxing atmosphere, very friendly and helpful owners. Dinners were excellent. Room doors (sliding) leave some space open, one can hear the music from the breakfast room.
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful ski experience in Furano - This was a delightful stay! The owners have been extremely helpful (explaining how to book ski lessons for the kids in advance, ski passes...dropping us off in the morning and picking us up from the ski area) and welcoming (letting the kids have a try at the piano). This has given us the opportunity to stay in a relaxing and quiet place, out of the hustle and bustle, beautifully decorated and appointed, with some relaxing music & a magnificent view of the snow on trees and houses outside, while making the most of skiing opportunities. The food offered by Naoko was delicious and amongst the best we have had in 3 weeks. For us this meant a careful balance between Japanese to please the parents and comforting for the kids. It all felt very homely. Some have commented that quantities are sometimes small - we have always had more than enough, were offered extras and felt comfortable asking more if needed. We have also found that the price / quality ratio of the food in comparison to hotels was second to none: freshly cooked, beautiful products. I have to admit that I was initially a bit worried to stay 5 minutes car ride away from the ski slopes with the children and we stayed a couple of days closer the first few nights just to get settled. But looking back, I would stay at Ituka every night. We have loved staying there and would recommend to anyone who like some respite after a long day of skiing.
- Zinta (9/5): Warm and welcoming small guesthouse with delicious meals - The guesthouse owners Naokosan and Yukiosan make staying at this guesthouse a special experience. The welcome, the meals, the transfers and the kindness were all very much appreciated. Our visit felt personalised, unlike in a hotel. We slept very well. It was such a blessing to be able to come back after skiing and completely relax without having to hunt for a restaurant for a family of five. There were no negatives for us but guests should be aware that the guesthouse is a little out of town and public transport is not so close. Bring your own books, games, entertainment to fill in the relaxed time after skiing.
- Zinta (9/5): Superb -
- Yvonne (9/5): Superb -
- Cktay (10/5): Exceptional - Naoko San and family are exceptionally kind, our family of 6 really appreciate the hospitality. They make the whole place feel like home. Breakfast and dinner are very good with home cook style. Definitely value for money. The view from room are exceptional for winter time. Overall, we have a good 2 nights stay. Nothing to dislike about. All good.
- Nutchaphon (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (8/5): Great. Furano is good to have a hired car at. - Very homely, helpful & genuinely friendly.
- Lewin (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (9/5): Superb -
- Meg (9/5): Superb -
- Olivier (10/5): A wonderful family home to spend some time in Furano. Everything was perfect. The food was amazing. -
- Yapyan (9/5): Overall, my stay was fantastic. I couldn't recommend this guest house more. - I just had the most amazing time at this guest house and I had to share! Nao san and Yuki san were incredibly helpful during my stay, making me feel right at home.
Now, about Nao san's cooking—absolutely top-notch! Every meal had its own unique style, and I couldn't get enough. I found myself preferring to dine in rather than going out. Trust me, you won't want to miss Nao san's fantastic meals!
And picture this: having breakfast in the dining room with a quiet snowy view and cute squirrels around—what a way to start the ski day!
The location was spot-on too, right between Furano and Kitanomine, just a quick 5-minute drive to either side. So convenient for exploring!
- Ka (9/5): Superb - Great hosts, warm and welcoming.
- Hui (8/5): Very good - The owner lady was very friendly. My mother had a sprained ankle the earlier night, and she was very helpful, and even provided some muscle patches for her.
Location was very nice in the forest.
- Soh (10/5): Exceptional - "Fantastic home stay experience! Warm hospitality, cozy rooms, and delicious homemade breakfast. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Highly recommended!"
- Justin (9/5): Great rooms with forest views .Traditional home stay .Very relaxing and peaceful location. - Fantastic host everything was great .Will be back
- Katherine (10/5): Naoko looked after us exceptionally well exceeding all our expectations for our stay. - The food was a delight to eat. Homemade bread and jam was a real treat. We feel we had authentic Japanese food made with care and respect. The breakfast Naoko prepared was like a fine dining experience. The photos of Naoko's home do not do justice to the real life experience. Her home is comfortable, clean and has a beautiful outlook. The room was a great size but we could have used more shelf or hanging space for clothing as we stayed for a longer time of 7 nights. For a short stay it would be fine.
- Gordon (9/5): Superb -
- Zhuoliang (10/5): Very cute B&B stay with an amazing host! - The host, Naoko-san is amazing. With a very reasonable fee, she does everything (shuttle services to the train station, shuttle to the slopes, breakfast, dinner). Her cooking is amazing btw, 0 need to go to a restaurant. The bed itself is a comfy and the house is really cutely decorated. The shower/bath temperature is a bit lukewarm.
- Yen-da (10/5): Exceptional - Owners are very nice, good food and great environment, I really like the dining room window with snowing outside, so relaxing. It's better to have a car to visit though.
- Sebastian (10/5): A fantastic place to unwind & recharge - A wonderful place to unwind, relax and enjoy fantastic food in a quiet and calm surrounding. Located in the forest, views from the rooms in winter time (which is when I was there) are magical.
The owners are very helpful and friendly, providing assistance and support for different activities (in my case, snowshoeing & snowboarding) as well as help with any matters related to travel (pick up, drop off...). More than that, they make you feel welcome and really take care of you! nothing
- Phillip (8/5): Quiet, Comfortable Place in a Beautiful Location - Friendly hosts, nice, quiet location.
I was a bit worried about noise from other guests (very thin walls and doors here), but everyone was respectful, so it was a quiet night. Breakfast was quite nice.
While they have soaking tubs, the water temperature is not hot enough (just slightly higher than warm).
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The place was great, very clean despite having a shared bathroom and toilet. The owner was very kind and welcoming too. However in the room, there was only a small fan to cool the room on a hot day. We opened the window but the insects would come straight into the room. Hence we could only rely on the small fan and closed the window.
- Ash (10/5): - This was a great way to experience Japanese hospitality at its best!
The home-made food was outstanding, as was the willingness of the hosts to offer their services as a shuttle to the ski slopes, do washing, etc.
Beautiful home with beautiful hosts. I highly recommend it and i would love to return.
- Harald (10/5): Hospitality Plus - "FANTASTIC" the place is extremely nice, the hosts could not do more for the guests. Highly recommend this home !!!!!!
- Tony (10/5): Peaceful relaxing accommodation - I stayed 2 nights with my two teenage boys and it was very peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were so helpful and would drive us to the ski fields at either Furano or Kitanomine each day which was only 5 minutes away. They have beautiful local foods and handmade gifts you can buy. I thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing stay.
