Grace (10/5): - This hotel is very near the airport and right on the beach and nearby restaurants. Breakfast is nice. There is a bar by pool. Probably wouldn't swim in the sea or sit on the beach anywhere in negombo but lovely spot all the same. Room is nice and has everything you need for a reasonable price.

Ranjani (4/5): Misleading information - The place was convenient and the receptionist, the restaurant staff were friendly. The room was very basic, and the bathroom was unclean. The beds were not that comfortable. We had booked for 4 nights. On the first day, there was a variety to choose from, but the other 3 days, the breakfast was disappointing. Eggs made to order that was ok There was cereal but no milk. There was a variety of teas, but there were only milk sachets. We were offered rice and curry, Parrata for breakfast. One website said it was 4 star rating, and another had 3 star rating . The advertising is very misleading. The corridor leading to the rooms was dark, with no lighting . Having to use steps and the lift was not available for the guests, which was a safety concern. The reception and restaurant staff were friendly. The overall stay was disappointing.

Rachel (5/5): It was what we needed for a few days in Negombo. The pool was the highlight, but at little over priced I’d say and was a - It was a great location. Pool was super nice and staff were friendly! Room was spacious and comfy. The aircon didn’t work in my first room but they did move me which was nice. The breakfast on the first day wasn’t great, they didn’t have many guest so didn’t put the buffet on. In general the property was a little run down and could do with some sprucing up!

It was our final stop before flying home, and we were looking for somewhere to unwind by the beach—this was exactly that. scotties00 (8/5): Beach hotel, 30 mins from airport - We stayed for one night on arrival in Sri Lanka, very convenient after a long flight as only 20-30mins drive from the airport. Warm greeting, our room wasn't ready as we were early but we were welcome to relax by the pool until it was. Nice large room looking out to pool/beach, a/c & fridge, comfortable bed. A little in need to refurb but nothing bad. The restaurant had good buffet choices for evening & breakfast, attentive staff. Two nice pools, with an outside bar. There was a large screen by the bar showing cricket in the evening (not our thing but it didn't disturb the restaurant ambience where they had a band playing)

A beautiful setting by the beach with two great swimming pools. The Sangreal Restaurant was exemplary. The freshest of food with the most extensive menus. Delicious Sri Lankan fare and a great variety of other foods also. I can highly recommend this great Hotel and Restaurant

Also the breakfast and diner is lovely at the Sangreal restaurant. The rooms are a little outdated on the old wing, but it is still fine. Really recommend this place to stay in negombo.

Restaurant Sangreal is excellent. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Great choice, though some wasn’t as hot as it could be. Overall we enjoyed the experience.
Beth (8/5): Great airport stay with amazing food! - The location is very good for getting to or from the airport, we stayed here for our first night in Sri Lanka after landing at midday. It was a great place to stay after our long flight, especially because we were able to make use of the amazing spa facilities! We booked a head and back massage which was exceptional, and great value for money! The food was amazing too, a buffet style and you can sit looking out to the pool. It's great to be able to just walk to the beach, we had an amazing sunset. It was very windy though so we didn't actually go in the sea. We loved our stay and would recommend! The staff were so lovely and welcoming, and they also decorated the room for us as we were on our honeymoon. We didn't make use of our balcony because it had a drip so the seats were soaked through, it also had a fan so it was noisy when outside.

Of all the hotels we stayed in this was by far the most expensive for drinks so we ended up watching the sunset in a bar on the beach. Our evening meal was okay and the staff polite and helpful.

johannasF8875BW (2/5): Avoid this hotel - Avoid this hotel We stayed there over a week. Too bad that reservation was prepaid, otherwice we would have left earlier. Both weekends were pure hell. It is not a hotel for regular guests, it is a partyvenuu for locals. Drungen guys jumping to pool and too heavy music at the party. What was worst; parties were at the open park so it really disturped everything at the pool. Heavy music also in the evening so not so good for sleeping or families with kids. Several other guest made complaining about the music but staff just replaid ”it is a party” Do not have lunch/dinner at the restaurant when they have parties for outsiders: staff ignore regular hotel guest complitely. Poor wifi, it did not work even at the restaurant/pool area.

A rough first night though! - The pool area, staff, and breakfast buffet were great 👍 My second room was good - I'm going to base my ratings on that room, not the first! I checked in late as arranged on the first night and was placed in what felt like a very old broom closet. The door seemed on its last legs and would barely latch closed. I can suck it up and deal with all that though. What I absolutely could not deal with was their insistence on playing full volume Christmas carols outside my bedroom door ALL night. I'm not exaggerating. 1am... Deck the Halls, 2am... Silent Night, 3am... Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, 4am.... it went on all night into the following day. I'm no grinch, but nobody needs to hear that all night. At 3am, I found a staff member and asked for it to be turned off. It wasnt. After a long day and night travelling, it was like stepping into some sort of weird christmas-themed psychological horror movie. I wanted to sleep or die but could do neither. I admit I was not my best self the next morning. The Christmas carols persisted into the day and were echoing and ricocheting throughout my tired head. They eventually took pity on me and moved me to a room on the other side of the resort and it was like someone had opened the door to heaven for me (for an extra ten bucks). The room was lovely and most importantly, it was finally a SILENT NIGHT! My tip for you, make sure the concierge turns left, not right, when leading you to your room. Enjoy!
scrappying (6/5): Ok to sleep - From the outside, it looks nice. But quite dated. The public facilities were kinda scary with rusting faucets and leaky soap dispenser. Staff friendly I like that the room was nice and cool, regardless of whether key is put into the slot or not. It is a nice welcome on hot days. Toilet - have to be careful of what goes in because it does not flush well. Not much towels in room. You have to ask for it Internet sketchy at times. No reception in common areas like dining. Not much toilet paper in rooms. Have to ask for it. Beds are comfortable. We had breakfast here. 4200 LKR per person which is not bad. Quality was just ok. Took a while if you email them to get any response. I had to send a friend there before they would respond

Caroline (8/5): - Hotel is in a very good area, with lots of restaurants nearby. Pool area is good, and you can always get a sunbed. The restaurant is nice and food was good and plentiful. We had a room in the old section. I would recommend requesting a room in the new section as you get better views of the sea. All the staff were very helpful. Only issue we had was that there was music being played through a speaker just outside our room. We had music being played just outside our bedroom door from early in the morning till late at night. We did have to ask for it to be turned down as we could hear it in the bedroom

Kim Lea (9/5): - Schönes Hotel mit direktem Zugang zum Strand. Freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal sowie schöne Zimmer. Super geeignet, um die Reise in Sri Lanka zu beginnen oder zu beenden. Jeden Freitag Seafood Grillabend mit Live Cooking, sehr zu empfehlen.

Elert (7/5): Gewoon een prima hotel en precies wat je kunt verwachten van zo een soort hotel. - Heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Het eten was boven verwachting goed. Het is iets te luidruchtig naar mijn mening en op de kaart staat vermeld dat er service charge en btw bij alles bijkomt, maar op de rekening zie je pas hoeveel procent dit is.
Maria (4/5): Hotel is okay but wouldn't recommend - Staff are generally nice but not the most helpful - I sent a number of emails with same question before arrival and was ignored (this is across a whole month before). On arrival no information provided about food, facilities, where anything is. You have to ask the basic questions. They did allow us to stay in our same room for two nights which were booked separate for ease (we booked one ourselves and one night was booked as part of a tour,) however, after day 1 told us we must check out so we had to remind them and then they said sorry it was their mistake. 5 minutes later they come back and say ok but you must pay for food costs for night one now and two women followed me to my room to pay. Felt like I was being treated like a thief. The women were nice and apologetic but said their manager said we needed to do it. Made me feel targeted and embarassed to be honest. Then when we did check out, they tried to charge us again for these days expenses. Luckily I had kept the card machine receipt to prove we already paid. Bad organisation and hotel Management overall. Hotel is nice layout but needs refurb, our sink was dangling downwards off the wall and their kettle wasn't even same socket as on their wall so couldn't be used. Quite a few sunbeds are damaged. Breakfast food was good buffet choices especially being vegetarians, but lunch and dinner menus not great and food quality is average. The attached spa is very nice with friendly staff, good service and good prices and I would recommend using that if you do stay. Wifi signal is good around hotel.

Dee (10/5): Excellent welcome - Excellent food, the most friendly staff we have met on a holiday. Clean beach. Large bedroom (we were upgraded because of our anniversary)! A fantastic New Year's Eve party. Nothing really - There are areas which require improvement but we know this is happening bit by bit and doesn't detract from the general ambience.

Самое большое огорчение это налоги, стоимость жилья, напитки по меню - все облагается большим налогом. Пиво 0,3 и пепси разлитый из бутылки вышли по меню 1400 рупий, а после всех налогов 2400 рупий. Что явно не соотносится с качеством отеля
ANDREY (6/5): - Номер в отеле и территория достаточно большие, на берегу моря, наличие 2-х бассейнов, вкусный и разнообразный завтрак, Отказывались принимать оплату за проживание наличными как в местной, так и в иностранной валюте. Причем в описании отеля на booking.ru о данных ограничениях не упоминается. После долгих переговоров все же приняли оплату наличными USD, но только на следующий день.

Anton (3/5): the worst hotel we stayed at during our trip in Sri Lanka - Location Unfortunately, our stay was affected by several issues. There was a persistent sewage smell in the hotel, which made it quite uncomfortable. In addition, the electric kettle in the room did not work, despite our attempts to use it. Another concern was the very loud music playing until the evening, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy a quiet stay. Overall, these issues significantly impacted our experience.

thilankar8 (10/5): Christmas vacation - We have had a lovely vacation with Camelot at Negambo. We started with Christmas lunch which is very special with varieties. No doubt about foods those are splendid. Room is very comfortable and comfy. It was very busy day for hotel, but they have managed us to early check-in within few minutes. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
