• Courtney (10/5): Just about the perfect spot for a night in Jiufen - I usually expect lodgings to be slightly less beautiful than the pictures; this was absolutely not the case! The room was exactly as shown and the view of the ocean -- stunning. The location was perfect; less than a 5 minute walk to the start of old street, but far enough away from the tour bus drop off and the bus stop that I was able to park a car across the street and leave without feeling too rushed. Everyone we met was charming and helpful, using Google Translate to show us around and even giving us newspaper to put in our wet shoes overnight. Shower was clean and pleseant. Breakfast was excellent. We were offered umbrellas to borrow for the rain. Honestly, I wouldn't have changed a thing! Nothing -- great stay! Wish it had not been raining so hard during our trip, but that has nothing to do with the hotel.

• Tariq (9/5): A great place to explore Jiufen and its wonders - In keeping with the spirit of Jiufen, this B&B has a very artsy spirit. The location is perfect - just close enough to Old Street, yet removed from its chaos. The facilities in the room aren’t elaborate but the warmth of the staff and owners and the stunning view more than make up for it. While the breakfast wasn’t elaborate, you could tell it was thoughtfully prepared and served. They were quite helpful with parking too. The electric bidet in the toilet was a blessing. Nothing

• Robert (9/5): Beautiful views, great breakfast and close to the old street - The breakfast was amazing on the patio, the view from the room was breathtaking and the location is a few minutes from the old street. The parking situation was confusing and you have to have someone outside the hotel park the car after letting them know you are a guest. It is similar to the Amalfi Coast in Italy, lol. They will not let you check in early…3 pm check in means 3:00 pm.

My husband and I loved the seating area in the rooms with the beautiful view. The proprietress was so friendly and welcoming! The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were very accommodating of my preference of a vegetarian breakfast.

• Susan (8/5): Really great option to explore Jiufen away from the tourist groups - Check in was easy. The receptionist was warm and got us coordinated with the parking that came with the room. It was my first time there and I didn’t have an appreciation for how nice it is to have parking during the peak tourist hours. View is stunning. Short 5 min walk to the touristy street but felt quiet when we return to rest. We liked being able to come back to the space and enjoy the large patio throughout the day and evening. Breakfast is ok. Westernized sandwiches. Beautiful presentation though and it was pleasant to enjoy the food with the view. Like other reviewers mentioned, there are stairs - no elevator. Just 1.5 flights so it really wasn’t a bother. We planned ahead and left the bags we didn’t need at the lobby.

We only stayed for one night, but the owner was very friendly when we checked in, and the room was spacious and had a beautiful view. We really liked that the room had a sitting area too. Great location very close to the old street, but a little bit away from the crowds. The breakfast was filling and tasty too, all staff very polite and friendly. Nothing! This is a little gem in Jiufen.

(2 or 3 mins) It was clean and comfortable. The toilet was well equipped. Love the heated bidet. Hosts are very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was filling and wholesome. Nice place to chill and relax. Great tar painting displayed . Will absolutely come back again. There were not enough storage areas for hanging clothes and drying towels. Either you hang towels or clothes. There is not enough space for both. We had the 4 bedders.

Excellent services, very informative host and he is a great tour guide too! highly recommended. If i have to say, no elevator. You have to carry your luggage to 2nd or 3rd floor. But i don't think you can find any airbnb there with an elevator.

Easy access, 2 minutes walking to bus stops and interest of views. The view from our room and the back yard is terrific, worth a million! They don’t have sleepers and the stairs are steep, need to be very careful.

• Le (10/5): Exceptional - The location is great, in the entrance of the Jiufen Old street, 2 minutes walking from the bus station from Taipei. The breakfast included in the price and it is really good comprising fruit, sandwich, boil egg and drinks. They even provides breakfast for vegetarian. The staff are really nice. The facilities are new and modern. The view from window are great. They have no elevator but the staff are really nice. They arrange for us 2 room in the 2nd floor when we ask cause my member team have leg pain. We can put big luggages in the hall also.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious.The location was perfect with the main street being just around the corner, maybe a five minute walk way. Some days in the winter you can’t always see the view with the fog but even so I enjoyed the room a lot. It was my favorite stay in Taiwan. Nothing, it was perfect.

• Elaine (9/5): We had a very nice time. The room was comfortable and the views were lovely. - We really enjoyed our time there. It was comfortable and the staff were very nice. Be warned that the small room may not be to everyone's taste and the door doesn't go all the way to the ground, so hallway noise does seep in. And navigating the road to the location can be a little scary because of where it's located in a traffic pattern, but just be careful.

Dropping my luggage early on check-in day was no problem. Room had a nice view. Facilities are of high quality and everything was clean. Conveniently located just down the road from the bus stop. Good WiFi and fast internet connection. Breakfast was served in the lobby area and included fresh fruit, a sandwhich, waffle and coffee.
