- Samuel Bryce (10/5): - The location and view is just unbelievable. Views looking out to both the caldera infront of you and also the beautiful Oia buildings behind you. The hot-tub was great too. The porters very friendly and hard-working. Additionally, the hotel staff are available on WhatsApp 24/7 and were so helpful answering questions, sorting rentals for us - pretty much like a personal tour guide. 10/10 highly recommend.

It’s not for everybody because it is in a cave very dark not so comfortable on your feet in the shower bath room due to the fact it’s stones. Getting to the room again is not for everybody unless you are able to go up and downstairs walk on uneven surfaces and 116 steps I would say it’s a great property. Fortunately, my husband and I were able to do both the people they are very nice and the food was good. The guys who carried our luggage to our room and from our room were amazing

They contacted us via WhatsApp the day before our arrival flight to let us know if we had any needs, and they helped us with transportation, sending a taxi to the airport. We were greeted by a man who helped us with our luggage (which was very helpful because carrying suitcases to the room is terrible). On the first day, they gave us a complimentary wine, and breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. The day we left, checkout was at 11:00 a.m., but our taxi was scheduled to pick us up at 12:00 p.m. They allowed us to stay an extra hour without any problems. 100% recommended. We stayed in a room with a view of the caldera and pool. Truly luxurious.

- Melissa (10/5): - I enjoyed staying here. It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. The room we booked had an ocean & partial caldera view with a plunge pool. The downside to it was that it wasn’t that private - there was a room next to ours where the guests had to walk through our balcony/pool to get to it. So don’t expect any privacy. The rooms are also very dark, not many lights in there and the bathroom looks very cave like & dark. The air conditioner also wasn’t very good and barely worked so in early June, our room was blistering hot at all times even with the air con running. The breakfast was delicious and served right to your balcony. Having the porter carry our luggage up and down the stairs was a great help. There were also stray cats & kittens living in the sewer next to the room.

Our room was the beautiful Paros suite. Looking out to the most amazing blue water with our private pool right out side our room door. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Definitely would recommend spending a night or two at the least, easily the best place to go to if you’re looking for a scenic view with a private pool. The owner was so nice, she gave a personal tour of the place and helped us move in, also with occasional check-ins during our stay to make us feel comfortable. - Brittany (10/5): - We loved our stay at Ducato so much! The staff was more than friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable, the bed was very comfortable. Our yummy breakfast was served daily and the staff was very attentive to any needs we had. The only thing that would subtract a star would be the stairs but that is anywhere with a caldera view and not specific to the hotel. The staff retrieves and brings your luggage all the way to your pickup area and they even let us store our luggage after checkout until we were ready to leave Santorini. We would definitely stay again!

The indoor pool was heated and had a great view as well! Delicious breakfast delivered to my room every morning. Easy and friendly check in process.

- Matthew (10/5): Romantic Hotel in Santorini with excellent service - Wow. What service. First, I really need to appreciate the porters who bring luggage up and down those cliff side stairs. We tipped and I encourage everyone to do so. They are rockstars, you would not be able to get to your room without them. Second, Vagelis, was the most accommodating concierge. Just great. The whole hotel is a special experience.
- Morris (8/5): - The view of the Caldera is spectacular and breathtaking. The only negative is that it’s at the bottom of a steep decline and you must walk countless irregular stairs up to get to the town. There are no elevators, only steep stairs. That said, a hot tub outside your room afford you views of the cliffs surrounding the Calera and the ships sailing in and out of port. The room is a cave built into the cliff and is quite large. Despite the steps, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Oia. The restaurant was closed when we were here in April 2024. to make up for this, the hotel sent breakfast directly to the room each morning, which was phenomenal, consisting of an omelette, or a Greek style, scrambled egg, Greek pastries, yogurt, and fruit salad.

There was a stain in the couch and a small yellow stain on the pillow case :( Breakfast was good. The wind was really bad the day we stayed and it is difficult to enjoy the view in windy conditions as there is no shelter from it.

- Lawrance (4/5): - STAY away!! Arrived Oct 4th and the first thing we were asked was to pay in advance. NP. While checking in (4 PM) we were asked to fill out our breakfast form as they bring breakfast to your room. I was like - can you give us a moment to get to the room as we had been travelling for several hours! Arrived at room only to find 1 bottle of water for 2 people and was informed that there was not going to be any room service as the one and only person who does that was taken ill - we had a heated confrontation. Okay - no ice, no nothing just a bottle of water! I asked where the mini mart was as I need to get ice for my wifes knee so I trudged up the hill and down the other side - fun times. Upon my return the manager (thats the only staff they have) had dropped off a warm bottle of sparking rose. Warm and no ice! I walked up the steps again to mine check in to mention this and he just laughed - claimed he was trying to break the ice! Just tip of the iceberg here. Other notable problems - no AC in bedrooms - cannot imagine what is it like in summer unless you leave your bedroom doors open. Don't order any hot food for breakfast as it arrives stone cold (coffee was fine) Compared to the other amazing breakfasts that the other hotels had on our trip this was terrible Safe broken, bathroom outlet broken. Had to ask the person (male) who just let themselves in to clean plunge pool while my wife was changing to leave 1500 characters is all Expedia allows - too bad!!

Just be ready to clime up and down to the property, very steep but totally worth it. Their breakfast was one of the best, fresh and local ingredients. The office staff encouraged us to try as much as we can from their breakfast menu. The only negative was that their bar areas was closed due to their server being out sick.

Nice and refreshing shared pool after a warm day…did I mention the views of the caldera? Heart of Oia, just steps from where everyone goes for the sunsets. Be prepared for some serious elevation changes…if only the porters could carry you too.
- Julio (6/5): - Ducato is well located in Oia, views are amazing although if you know the calderas that means going down and up lots of rough steps to get in and out of the hotel. The rooms are ample and well furnished with that rough Santorini feel. Bedding could be better but it’s ok. The bad things about Ducato are that it’s not a full service hotel. You will essentially get your room and that’s it. No restaurant, common areas, or extra accommodations while you stay which is hard to swallow for the price. The front desk staff is pretty great but the people working under them (eg. luggage and cleaning crew) act angry towards guests making you feel unwelcome.
- Ajredin (8/5): - Beautiful property and the staff was excellent. I just wish I was informed of my VIP benefits and minor issues with my room. A lot of cockroach’s in the room within my 3 day stay I probably killed 20 of them crawling around my room. No hot water and my hot tub was broken. Also somehow the safe was “not working” and I was constantly seeing stuff moved around in my room without my knowledge. I’m not sure if staff entered while my do not disturb sign was up but whatever. The breakfast was great.

- Madeleine (10/5): - This property was the perfect place to stay in Santorini. It is far enough down the hillside that you don't get many people passing by and have incredible sea views. They helped us set up a transfer from the airport, and the staff met us up by the post-office to help carry our bags down for us. The staff there, especially Vangelis (I believe he is the nighttime concierge or manager) are amazing. Vangelis made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay, and always greeted us as we passed by to our room and was overall very accommodating and professional. The complimentary breakfast they serve to your room in the morning was amazing as well. Every night you get to choose what you would like, and they deliver it promptly at the time you chose. The hot tub with the room was great to use at night when it cooled off a bit, and the pool they have was usually empty around the time we went, and the perfect way to cool off after a day of exploring. We also came back to our room every day, not only to have it perfectly cleaned, but also smelling amazing. They made sure to restock the bottled water in the room as well each day. If you are considering about staying here, don't even think about it, and just book it already :)
- Jimmy (10/5): - I liked how quiet it was. Couldn’t hear anything while inside the room. Finding the reception building was hard. I believe with more signs near the main area to point to the reception.
