Guest Reviews
- Leonardo (6/5): - En el desayuno te obligan a
- Alzemira (4/5): - Café da péssima
- Rodrigo (8/5): Buena ubicación - Zona céntrica, segura y agradable.
- Benoit (8/5): - Good budget hotel. For 1 to 2 nights it is fine.
- Michael (6/5): OK for a couple of nights - Walkable to the centre and the bus station. No English spoken by the very young staff. No flexibility , breakfast buffet opens at 7:00 am. Ham, cheese bread etc and drinks. Pool was nice enough.
- Michael (10/5): Good location - Walkable from the centre of town.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff is extremely rude, the breakfast is quite poor and the dining area wasn't very clean. The room was big comfortable and clean. We had issues with the toilet that were never fixed although we asked a few times. The staff was super rude, not polite, and were not willing to help with anything even minimal requests such as cold milk instead of warm. Will not return
Minha terceira estadia lá e ficaria novamente .
- Luis (2/5): - Never had the chance to go in your guy's charge and the hotel refused to attend therrybke waiting my refund
- Miguel (8/5): - Walking just from the main street that you can have dinner and shop any groceries that you one
- Sarita Bianca (10/5): - Já é a minha terceira estadia e como sempre maravilhosa!
- wendy (2/5): - Staff was extremely rude. Restaurant food was very terrible and food was given uncooked to us. All towels were ylw and brown stained dirty every time. Would never stay here again. Also they don’t allow you to eat in your room. No iron to iron clothes. Felt overall unsafe
Conseguimos fazer praticamente tudo a pé . Tinha lido algumas avaliações ruins mas me surpreendeu muito positivamente . Ficaria novamente lá com toda certeza .
- CONSUELO TIZON (10/5): - Perfect little hotel
- Tania (4/5): - Muy mala
1.-
- Verified traveler (10/5): great ckean comfortable stay - stayed 4 nights. good location to visit the falls by bus. Just walk 3 minutes to main road and flag down the cataratas bus 3000 pesos, or bus to paraguay for shopping or brazil falls etc. From airpot take the bus to hotel get off at the intersection to main road.
clean comfortable rooms with balcony. comfortable bed, good quiet aircon. good buffet breakfast, usual cold cut, egg, cereal etc.
great cool small pool and sitting area in a tropical garden to provide heat relief after outing.
close to restaurants and bus station(15 minute walk).
Nice clean town will stay longer in future.
- Sabina (10/5): - Great place to stay with great pool- I’d suggest to improve the buffet with more healthy choices like fruits rather than just a wide selection of cakes
- Min (8/5): - great location
Totalmente recomendado
- Nayanne (6/5): - The place presents an ok value for money for those looking for a low-cost trip. The accommodations are simple, but the cleanliness leaves something to be desired: the bath towels are dirty, with stains and the bathtubs are glued with silver tape. The breakfast is modest but sufficient. The service is ok, but the staff are not very organized, so if you want to consume something at the hotel, check the payment when checking out, as there may be double charges. It is a 15-minute walk from the bus station and 20 minutes from the center and food options (this is very important for those going to Puerto Iguazu, as most journeys need to be done on foot, as the city only has 4 drivers Uber and the taxi service are very expensive.
- Marcela (6/5): - Fiquei 3 dias no hotel.
Poderiam começar a melhoria trocando todas as toalhas.
- Tatiana soto (4/5): - La limpieza necesita mejorar.
- Grace (8/5): - Well located, about a 5-10min walk from the main bus terminal. A bit further from the main "tourist" strip but still convenient.
The location is quiet, but the rooms themselves weren't. If there are people in the room next to yours, you will hear them very clearly.
Staff were very nice, and spoke enough English to be able to communicate with each other and answer any questions I might have had.
The pool, while small was quite a relief in the heat of the days there.
- vinicius (6/5): - Fui bem atendido e o hotel estava confortável.
No geral é bom e ótimo custo benefício. A picina e ótima.
- Sarita Bianca (10/5): - Maravilhoso hotel, atendimento, quarto e café da manhã.
- Wendell (8/5): - Nice pool area for relaxing. Excellent room air conditioner and very friendly staff.
- Andrea (8/5): - For the price the place as expected. Most important the room was clean and comfortable. The safe didn’t really work and be advised there is no cable, local tv only. The bathroom and room were comfortable, older but not yucky. The staff was ok. Helpful if needed but not warm and inviting. I would stay there again as a safe, clean place to be. I advise you to bring a towel. The towels were worse than the floor rags at home. Rough and on the small side. The breakfast was good as it was free. More continental style than hearty.
- Manuel Ignacio (4/5): - Sitio sucio.
Toallas rotas
Personal regular
- Rei (10/5): - Such a wonderful experiment!!
Staff girl is so kind and help me a lot
- Linda (10/5): - Good budget friendly hotel
- Martin (8/5): - The service was great, I felt very welcomed by the staff. They were lovely. Unfortunately my room wasn't clean. Stains at the sheets and towels.
- Maria (10/5): - Personal muy servicial
- Kyung (4/5): - It's very old and the breakfast was terrible. Price was way too high for this hotel.
- Sandra B. (10/5): Great - Nice place, great location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is not clean, the towel is dirty and smells in the room.
- Agata (8/5): z Kelty do wodospadów - przyjemne doświadczenia, dobre położenie, szkoda jedynie,że słaba znajomość języka angielskiego
Recomendado
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel lindo.
- MeganE822 (8/5): Kelta Hotel Iguazu Falls - Nice Place to Stay - When I booked this accommodation I was a little concerned with paying only $220 Australian for three nights, for three people and with free breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. The staff have been lovely and because it’s small and not crawling with tourists it felt safe and welcoming. Supermarket not far and plenty of good restaurants nearby.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff didnt speak English which made things very difficult since they didn't seem to be aware foreigners don't pay the VAT tax if they pay in foreign currency (which I had done as I'd prepaid for the hotel). Decent location though and breakfast was good. Wifi was very spotty and didnt work great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - From exterior I was surprised of the building but inside I found a very calm atmosphere. Thanks to the serving personal
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok for one night! - Our stay was ok! The room itself was good but the bathroom was really dirty - mould, strong urine smell, long hair on the floor and noise coming through the vents from other rooms. Unfortunately there had been a storm the night before so the pool was out of use too. The breakfast was very cake heavy with a lack of fruit or cooked food which was a shame. Beyond this, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Jacob (6/5): - There is no elevator.
- Antares119 (6/5): It's ok/ - Within walking distance of decent restaurants. La Rueda, great food!
Room furnishings on the poor side. Not enough even to hang clothes. Luckily to have an empty single bed to lay the suitcases on.....
- johana (8/5): Pretty good for the price - Nice room, big and confortable. Good location! Service 24 hours.
- 702rickr (2/5): BEWARE! Many false claims in Advertising - It's a dump! Something one would expect in a shantytown. They indicate they have concierge's to help you, but they don't! Little to no English is spoken or understood. No manager or owner is ever present, The room had only 1 rickety chair in the room besides the beds. there was no water in the cracked bathroom sink. No wash or facial cloths and No facial tissue! Impossible to address any issues due to lack of management and the language barrier. We were charged more than the quoted nightly rate and they insisted on charging us for 3 nights when we were checking out after 2 nights due to the terrible accommodations!
- Richard (2/5): BEWARE! Don't book here. False Advertising! - It's a dump!
- JennyC888 (6/5): Friendly staff let down by poor facilties - It is difficult to write an objective review- on the one hand, the staff are accommodating, nothing is too much trouble and they are very friendly- although few people speak English.
On the other hand - the accommodation is poor (I had to move rooms after being locked in twice) and in the second room the toilet only flushed after removing the cistern lid. The walls are so thin that I could hear everything from, TVs, showers, people walking up and down the stairs and conversations in different rooms. The wifi is limited to only one area of the hotel. The restaurant food was limited, but breakfast is great! It is close to local restaurants and to Iguazu Falls.
- Andrew (8/5): great hotel, AC did not work - overall was a great hotel, air conditioner did not work though, we had it turned on and I think it was giving us heat, had trouble sleeping because of this. rooms otherwise spacious and comfortable, they called a cab for us to bring us to the airport when he left, and breakfast was decent considering it was included. wifi did not work well in our room ,so we used it more in the common areas. easy walk to get everywhere, about 10 minutes, so a little further out than other hotels.
- Ffion91 (8/5): Good value but basic - We had a good 3 night stay with very friendly service. The room was a little tired, there was no safe and no fan in bathroom resulting in a little mould but the aircon was good and we slept well.
The breakfast was good, was really impressed by our dinner there during a rain storm and the hotel is in a good location to walk into the town. Staff were terrific but some work could be done to the rooms.
- seadog-46 (6/5): Quiet hotel walking distance to restaurants & town - Kelta Hotel is on a quiet street not too far from centre of town. It is fairly new but seems slightly unfinished that shows in various places.
The spa room was a disappointment with a small regular bath with jets.
Our upstairs room overlooking the pool had no fly screens & noise from other rooms was noticeable.
Breakfast selection is limited. Staff were good but English limited to one member only.
The pool surrounds are swept daily - but only saw the pool poorly cleaned of floating leaves once in 3 days. It was not vacuumed daily to keep leaves & dirt off the bottom.
Did not see anyone swimming in the pool.
Puerto Iguazu is much smaller & safer town than the Brazilian town over the river.
Plenty of good reasonably priced restaurants in the town & nearby.
- alexineberry (8/5): Good value - all comforts - Good quality modern hotel in quiet residential area within reasonable walking distance of the bus station and major restaurants. Reasonably priced and we were able to pay with a credit card. Helpful staff and good breakfast.
- gary7272 (6/5): Adequate Base to Explore the Town and Falls - Our stay at this small hotel within a couple of blocks of the bus station and "restaurant row" of Puerto Iguazu did not start out well. When we arrived, the staff said that our reservation made through Booking.com had been cancelled. However, they agreed to provide us a room with a price close to what had been booked. In fact, over the course of the 2 nights we stayed, the staff became friendlier and friendlier. I really enjoyed talking with them (despite my pathetic Spanish and their basic English).
The hotel itself is a basic 2 star hotel. The room itself was immaculate. It was rather dark. The air conditioning was functional. There was no safe. The beds were fine. The television included CNNI, with the rest being Spanish stations. The daily breakfast was a basic continental/Argentinian breakfast.
The outside of the hotel is a work in progress. It would probably scare off someone who never stepped inside, as it looked like it was crumbling.
It has a pool, but it was not exactly inviting, though we saw it cleaned daily.
The hotel seemed rather empty, and that was kind of sad as we are rooting for the management and staff to succeed.
One note, be careful with the arrangements to return to the airport, as our shuttle was 45 minutes late(not the fault of the hotel)....
Overall, an adequate hotel from which to explore the environs.
- BB728 (8/5): Good, inexpensive hotel - This hotel is not fancy but you can get a good night sleep. Breakfast is also included in the nightly rate.
I only spent a night there and it was ok. The towels had seen better days.
The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel if you are to see the Iguazu falls from the Argentinian side.
You can ride the bus directly into the park.
- mr_cruiser (8/5): Good Value in Puerto Iguazu - This is a relatively small new hotel, they are still adding more rooms in the top floor. It is located on a side road just off the main road that goes between the town and Iguazu Falls. If you are coming from the airport or from the falls, just tell the bus to let you off at Calle Cupri and they will do so (have a map handy though). The location is in a residential and mixed activity area, but we felt quite safe and it is a short walk into town where you will find the bus station, many restaurants, and supermarkets.
The hotel itself is clean, reception area is attractive, staff is friendly but speak little English. There is a small pool in a jungle style setting with many tropical trees, free wi-fi and a sumptuous morning buffet breakfast. Our room was clean, firm bed with rustic headboard and table-lamps, adequate toiletries, minimal furniture, no luggage rack and no wardrobe. There was air-con, a flat screen, but no room safe. Reception was able to arrange a taxi for us for the drive over to Brazil.
This is good value for the money if you intend to stay just for a night or so to visit the falls.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Be careful of the free breakfast - The breakfast omlette gave me food poisoning so I missed seeing the falls, the only reason I visited this town - not cool. I told the guy at reception and he just awkwardly laughed, said sorry then stood there. The hotel itself was okay, there was construction going on close by until around 7pm each night and the wifi only worked in the lobby.
- Reneestanton-Defaria (6/5): Basic hotel in a good location - The hotel was basic but meet our needs for 1 night stay.
Pros:
Large room
Good location
Friendly staff
Bed comfortable
Shower had good water pressure
Cons
Poor wifi in room
Bathroom needs an update
Dirty towels in bathroom
Pool area wasn't very clean but not at fault of the staff as they clean it daily more so the area is covered in trees therefore leafs consistently fall
Overall not bad for the money you pay
- Belinda (4/5): Tired Hotel - The staff were lovely and helpful. There was no wifi in the room and I did not have hot water for two days. The dinner was superb for the price.
- mateo (4/5): cheating on the guest - disappointed
- Maryam (8/5): Close to city center and worth the price! - I stayed at Kelta hotel for 3 nights. My stay went very well, the location was within walking distance to buses, restaurants, and the main street which was important for me as I was solo and wanted to be close to everything. The service was fantastic, Carla was a lovely host full of information about the area. the down side was the internet not working in the rooms. they mislead you saying the Wi-Fi works in the room. It basically didn't work unless you were in the lobby area. The rooms are very large and clean, the air condition worked great, but the bathroom did have some mold around the caulking areas, I suppose that's to be expected at most hotels in Argentina since it seems to be a theme at most places I stay at. For the price it's a great option, if I ever returned I would definitely stay at Kelta. BTW for US citizens wanting to go to the Brazilian side of the falls, you need to have a visa prior to your arrival. If you try to obtain a visa in Iguazu it takes at least 48-72 hrs for them to process your request.
- Valérie (10/5): Clean and price are more than honest!! - We stayed 1 night after a 22h bus drive so we were really happy to feel welcomed at Kelta. The room, service, wifi amd the pool for the price were exactly what we were expecting. We recommand, no doubt!!
- AS (8/5): Nice hotel, great location and helpful staff. - We had a great experience! All was comfortable and smooth. The staff was very helpful with all our questions in both English and Spanish. Breakfast was good. Sitting poolside in the afternoons after visiting the Falls was a particular treat. Well priced. Great location walking distance from the downtown and several good restaurants. Thanks to Gaston and Verona for a great visit!
- geraldchua (6/5): Average no-frills hotel - Stayed for 3 nights in Oct 16.
Pros:
- Spacious and clean room
- Nearby there is a supermarket, convenient to buy bottled water and other groceries.
- Walkable to bus terminal and restaurants in downtown area.
- Relatively inexpensive compared to the other hotels, but room amenities are fairly basic
- Friendly staff
Cons:
- No english-speaking staff. Had originally wanted to ask hotel staff to help book taxi to go to Iguazu Falls at Brazil side but had difficulty communicating with them. We ended up approaching the taxi drivers waiting at the taxi booths near the bus terminal.
- Rooms not soundproof. Not ideal for light sleepers.
- TamaraVL (6/5): Nice stay - Had a good 3-day stay here. The room was comfortable, the breakfast fresh. Also, the pool was nice (very welcome after a day walking at the -gorgeous- falls).
The staff was friendly and helpfull except for one strange incident where the owner seemed upset about the fact that we bypassed him by sending an email in English to the English speaking hotel employee in an attempt to clearly and constructively explain various issues we had with our room on arrival (because although we tried it was hard to explain to the Spanish employee who worked at that moment). I think his irritation was not because of unkindness but because of irritation in a willingness to help as we then received a new room which was very satisfying!
To summarize: a good place to stay!
- 789ismaelc (10/5): Best trip with my family ever. - We arrived with my family and they received us like they where best friend from collage. Great place, great people awesome 24/7 customer service.
Next time we are going to their other Hotel in Calafate Patagonia. just go to Kelta and enjoy everything.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - Good location, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, big room. I liked everything, though, perhaps I was just lucky.
- aimeegladish (6/5): Potential but needs a bit of work - This hotel has the makings of being good, just a few things that bothered me. In terms of good things, the room was clean and big enough, the location good and the staff helpful. However, we were there for 5 nights and the pool was dirty the whole time, it may be winter but it was still 25-31 degrees so it would have been nice to have the option. Breakfast was ok, but it was 3 days before butter appeared and the omelette was always very cold. The wifi was quite patchy and often not available in the room. You can tell that is a work in progress as there is another bit being build (never disturbed us really though) Overall it felt a little sparse and just needed the finishing touches to bring it together.
- AnselmoGuy (4/5): Paying a lot less would make it better. - Sorry, this hotel is mediocre, but I am influenced by the high price I paid ($63) via Booking.com. If that's what simple rooms really cost in Puerto Iguazu, well then I take it all back. My room, was large, clean, stark, and bare. There was no hot water in the sink, although there was plenty in the shower. The breakfast was sad; pre-made omelets that one day were ice cold (and were warm the other day) with nothing in them, orange drink (not orange juice like everywhere I stayed), and breads, ham, cheese etc.
