The owner is really friendly and also hospitable. You can eat in the breakfast room whenever you want. Beds are good. And the room is well equipped. The doggies are so sweet. And the garden is lovely. There is also a jacuzzi which is really nice. Eat ice cream for sure by Big Azz cream. Nothing

- Robert (9/5): Excellent location to visit Waitomo, nice and comfortable and fabulous value. - Orchard Estate is in a great location to visit Waitomo Caves. We were in the Queen room which was very nice and comfortable with ensuite, kitchenette and the spa on our patio. The views in the morning all around the property are beautiful and the B&B property has lovely flowers and trees all around. Overall the property is great value. All good.

- Delphine (7/5): - We were upgraded to a wonderful room with a private bathroom. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and quiet. While I appreciated the decor, the silk plants and lamps really needed dusting weekly. They all had quite a layer of thick dust. The duvet had dog hair covering the top but we were able to remove all of the silk plants and took off the duvet because of my severe allergies to animal dander and dust. In any case, it was still a lovely place that can use more housekeeping care

- Shawndy (10/5): Great for the quick overnight we needed! - The rooms were lovely, the owner was kind, and it was overall a great stay. Breakfast was nice, and checkout was very easy. The view was absolutely breathtaking! We would definitely stay there again. Check-in was a bit confusing in that the sign telling us what to do to get into our rooms wasn't easily noticeable. Luckily, another guest walked by and was able to instruct us. We were at opposite ends of the home from my mom, who was travelling with us, so that was disappointing but not a deal-breaker.

Breakfast was fab, the bed was nice and cosy and the view from our room was top notch. Would be helpful to have a couple hooks in the bedroom and back of bathroom door to hang wet towels on.

- Pinar (4/5): Disappointing B&B experience - Sunset and sunrise view was very pretty. My son said his bed was comfortable. Host wasn’t there. Room smelled musty! HVAC system was very loud and gurgled all night. Breakfast was horrible. No brewed coffee! They only had a jar of folders instant coffee. Sliced grocery store bread that turned to cardboard when toasted and bunch of empty jars of jam!!! I had to leave early to go to the Waitomo Caves and had to buy coffee and food there before my tour.

- Jann (9/5): Great stay! - Located in quiet neighborhood with lush greenery and views of rolling hillside farms. Rooms have large glass windows to enjoy the view. Car parking was under trees, so there was a lot of bird poop on the car in the morning.

There was no process for checking in or out, we just walked in and had to find the room ourself. Same for leaving. If we needed help it would’ve been unclear how to get it. The shared bathroom is between a lot of rooms as well.

- Isabelle MONNIER CRUSSET (4/5): Décevant - l’accueil du chien "Jack" , qui apporte une touche chaleureuse. Arrivée et départ en toute autonomie nous n'avons vu aucune personne. Séjour très décevant. La chambre est extrêmement petite et située à proximité immédiate de la route, ce qui entraîne beaucoup de bruit. L’isolation phonique est inexistante : on entend les autres clients, y compris les ronflements toute la nuit, ce qui rend le repos très difficile. Le petit-déjeuner se déroule dans une pièce beaucoup trop exiguë, où les clients sont entassés les uns sur les autres, ce qui n’est ni agréable ni confortable. La salle de bain commune est également problématique. Il est compliqué de s’y rendre après d’autres personnes, surtout lorsque les personnes laisse les lieux sales (comme au camping)

- Michael (5/5): You will not feel welcome and you need to love dogs. - Directly located above SH3 it is incredibly loud if you sit outside or open the windows. The public mini pool was directly in front of our window, so that we had to close the curtains all the time. Breakfast was the only bad one we had in five weeks of New Zealand. Only instant coffee, some toast with jam and cereals. Not even an egg or an avocado. The host leaves you a note that he can not be bothered. At the same time he has his dogs roaming around the whole time with no supervision at all. No explanation on check-in at all. Place was also not really clean. The stones on the veranda were a health Hazard.

The surrounding garden and outlook is stunning. We stayed in room 1 double bed TV cabinet - towels - power points The whole house which houses many guest in seperate rooms has one seperate toilet and a toilet in the shower room I think it would be nice if you nominate a time for the shower on booking so you don’t have that feeling of am I putting others out. The breakfast was continental Well set- up and nice to chat to a few others about their travels if you wanted. You can eat inside or outside with the birds. Price Location Outlook on mature

- Heidi und Heinz (8/5): B&B mit schönem Rundblick - Das B&B hat eine ideale Lage um die Glühwürmchen Caves in Waitomo zu besuchen. Unser Zimmer war gross, sehr sauber und geräumig zu einem guten Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Das Frühstück war Kontinental gehalten, sehr einfach und zweckmässig! Die Lage und der Rundblick waren schön. Nur der direkte Strassenlärm hat etwas gestört. Den Besitzer haben wir leider nur kurz gesehen. Das fanden wir schade. Alles in allem eine gute, preiswerte Unterkunft in schöner Lage. Ein bis zwei Stühle, sowie Ablage für die Kleider ( Hacken) im Zimmer wären gut.

- Nicholas (9/5): A great value and comfortable place to stay near Waitomo - It was a great place to stay overnight close to the local tourist attractions at waitomo caves and was very affordable and great value for money. The host was very friendly and the room and shared bathroom were very clean and modern. The shared bathroom was very well designed and was one of the best showers I had on my trip. The breakfast was also very good and a serve yourself continental style including toast and cereal and fruit. The only thing to be aware of is the shared bathroom which I didn't run into any other guests during my stay. Also Waze may direct you incorrectly to turn off the highway late instead of turning down orchard road and following the signs.
