O3241EHdominiquep (10/5): Paradise Found – 12/10 - What can I say? This place truly feels like heaven on earth. Le Barthélemy Hotel is a beautiful property set on a stunning lagoon. The rooms are lovely, spacious, and impeccably maintained, and the views are absolutely gorgeous. We spent most of our time either on the beach or relaxing on our terrace, soaking it all in. We travel often and have stayed at many five-star hotels, but this is probably our favorite. It has everything: privacy without ever feeling isolated, an intimate atmosphere that still feels spacious, and a fantastic location. It is easy to get to restaurants and beach clubs around St. Barth, especially since taxis are so reliable. We also rented a car, and the hotel’s valet service was excellent. A very special part of our stay was celebrating our daughter’s 15th birthday there. The team surprised her with balloons, sweet gifts, and transformed her room into a birthday celebration. We were incredibly grateful, and she will never forget it. The food was just as impressive as everything else. My personal favorite was the tapas we had for dinner at Seven Stars Bar, but every meal was superb. The entire property is immaculate and beautifully kept. The atmosphere is understated yet high-end luxury. The spa is wonderful, and I especially loved that they use La Mer products. The gym is also excellent, my husband used it every day and especially enjoyed the cold baths. The concierge team was fantastic, arranging everything we wanted and keeping us updated and on schedule throughout our stay. What we appreciated most, though, and what truly made this stay so special, was the people. Everyone who works there is friendly, calm, welcoming, and genuinely warm. They are the heart of the hotel. Thank you to the entire team at Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa. We loved our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. And one final tip: if you can, book an ocean-view room, it is absolutely worth it.

The staff truly went above and beyond to assist in any way. The hotel is stunning as is the decor. The vibes are immaculate and I left feeling renewed and relaxed! The food is Michelin level. Some of the best food I have had anywhere in the world. The Cacio de Pepe was better than pasta in Milan! It was elite!! I encourage you to make Le Barthelemy your home away from home in St Barths! You won’t regret it!

The room are fabulous and the view from the balcony overlooking the bay is breathtaking. The staff is SO incredibly friendly and efficient, that we are missing them upon our return. The staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and the property is just beautiful. The location is quieter, but just a short car right away from the action. For context we have stayed on a yacht, in a villa and visited other top hotels such as Eden Rock, Cheval Blanc and Rosewood while in St. Barth. From the moment we booked to arriving back home Le Barthelemy treated us like family. They truly went above and beyond the call of a 5 star hotel to deliver 6 star experience through and through. Every detail, from the warm welcome to the attentive staff, reflected top-notch hospitality. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully designed, and offered a true sense of relaxation. One note for conservative families — while this is not the fault of the hotel (and may be cultural for the area), women do sunbathe topless on the beach. Something to be aware of when planning your visit. Overall, an outstanding experience and a property I would gladly return to.
daniellegreve (10/5): My absolute favorite hotel - This is my absolute favorite hotel! From the moment we walked in, we were treated as royalty by everyone we encountered. The rooms are very spacious and full of everything we needed. I was given a welcome package with gifts for my birthday by the hotel. The room includes plenty of storage space for personal belongings. The bathroom came with an overwhelming amount of necessary toiletries including a Dyson air wrap. Room service cleans your room twice a day and re-stocks everything twice a day. The restaurant at the hotel was our favorite restaurant we visited on the island and has amazing 5 star quality food. Every staff member at the hotel that we interacted with was so friendly and helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and were having the best time. Concierge was amazing and helped us with anything we needed including getting a rental car delivered to the hotel for us during our stay, they were a whats app text away from anything we needed help with. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in St. Barths with friends, families or couples. We will definitely be back again.

Staff was wonderful throughout; from Maksym, Charlotte, Camille (my French 'teacher'), Eva, Maria, and numerous others! They took care of us from the second we arrived at the hotel. Everything was perfection. Food selection was great! Beach service was beyond attentive, valets for car was very efficient, breakfast was delicious. JCP at Beach activities was great as well. We can't say anything negative other than our 7 day stay this time was too short. Le n'est qu'un auvoir!

From start to finish, our experience at this incredible hotel was above and beyond any sort of expectations. From the amenities, the location of the room, the picturesque views and location, to most importantly – the incredible staff and service. They’re engaging but not intrusive, so friendly, engaging and polite. Not only were we so incredibly sad to have to leave and bring an end to our vacation, we were truly sad to say goodbye to the most amazing staff who made our trip most memorable. Those include Joelle, Sarah, and Laura (the incredible singer at the hotel), and Charlotte. We look forward to returning as soon as possible. True paradise.
Faedono (10/5): Don’t be scared of us “daytrippers”…just trying to experience resort life of St Barths - We arrived as one reviewer calls us, “daytrippers”…from the Silversea cruise ship docked in Gustavia. Converse to her review, we were very well behaved and enjoyed our 5 hours very much. We were taken by van and upon our arrival greeting warmly by the entire staff. We were asked what time we would like to have lunch and then shown our beautiful loungers by the pool, umbrellas put up for shade and given a wonderful cocktail. We walked down a few steps to the beach, swam, rinsed off by the nearby showers and lounged. At 1 pm were were seated at a beautiful table overlooking the bay and enjoyed a 5 star lunch complete with wine. After lunch we enjoyed the pool further and at 3:30 off we went back to town; would return again and again.

kellitrent (10/5): Probably the best resort I've ever been to! - I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this resort was so far above and beyond anywhere else I have stayed that I felt that I needed to. The staff first and foremost was so friendly, so attentive and helpful it made you feel special. The rooms were beautiful! We slept so well in the very comfortable beds. The beach was wonderful with very comfortable loungers. The beach right in front of the hotel has a little seagrass, but if you walk around a bit on either side you can walk forever with shallow crystal clear waters and be surrounded by sea turtles which was a highlight for me! The food at this resort - everything we ate was delicious! The spa was small (it is a small resort) but I got two treatments and both were wonderful. It is on the other side of the island from the main town, but still is only 20 minutes away and we preferred being away from the traffic and crowds. It is a small island and doesn't take long to get anywhere while still feeling a little remote. I truly couldn't recommend this resort more.
katcs515 (10/5): The BEST hotel on the island for the value and service! - I enjoyed a *phenomenal* 3-night visit at Le Barthélemy. Le Barth had very attentive, thoughtful service all around — from reception to restaurant, to spa and beach access. They kindly surprised me with a room upgrade to private pool suite, gave me an embroidered tote bag, embroidered clutch pouch, scented candle, baseball cap, cosmetics bag, and chilled bottle of rosé to celebrate my birthday. They also left me birthday balloons all over the room, which remained for my entire visit! The resort is on a remote part of the island, but the room furnishings are so nice and the beach is so quiet that you will forget all your troubles. It’s easy to go next door to the Rosewood Guanahani for beach or meal access, and the cul-de-sac features a reef that is knee-to-waist deep for several hundred yards. Perfect for beginner to medium swimmers who still want to see fish, turtles, and harmless baby sharks! The restaurant food is excellent. It’s fine dining but not pretentious. There’s a live singer every night. It’s not a party scene, but it’s perfect for solo, couples, or families. The concierge kindly arranged for me to have a private reformer Pilates session on the roof. The service is some of the best in the world — everyone greeted me by name and was empowered to deliver first-rate hospitality. When I was a few minutes late for breakfast, or wanted some of the welcome snack brought to my room— they made it happen. Logan in the restaurant said multiple times, “yes Miss, anything is possible!” Since this is my first time in St Barths, I split my trip in half. I made the mistake of booking Le Carl Gustaf for the second half, and I will never do that again. I’ll be going to Le Barthélemy every visit from now on!!!

Even if you are not staying at the hotel you should go there for lunch or dinner !The location of the hotel is very quiet, Gustavia is just 20 minutes by car. If you are looking for a five star luxury hotel with excellent service and food, this is the place to be. I highly recommend a stay at Le Barthélemy !!
patriciacR2052ZP (2/5): BUYER BEWARE - My husband and I stayed at Le Barthelemy from March 8 through March 17, 2025. We will give you the good and the bad. The Good: The bartenders/servers/beach staff are extremely hard and efficient workers. They give 100% every single day to try and make your experience a positive one. The rooms are tastefully decorated with light, breezy Caribbean decor. The Bad: What is not told to you before you book at this resort is that they ‘sell’ seats to outsiders - whether they be guests from other resorts, island dwellers or cruise ship people, all to the detriment of their own guests. The resort will reserve your seat if you are a guest at the resort on the beach should you desire, but every day you are asked by staff what your plans are for the day. They keep a sheet indicating available seating to ‘sell’ on the common market. This is not told to you prior to your booking at this resort. The people coming through the doors are oftentimes unruly with difficult unattended children ruling the pool and common areas. When I mentioned this to a staff member on a Monday (we got there on Saturday), the woman told us that we would not have to worry about that because Monday was a school day and the children would be back in school! She was right, until the next weekend when it happened all over again! The people coming through the doors feel free to smoke openly without regard for others around them, whether they are in front of your room or not. Our room was a first floor with a walkout patio and jacuzzi/plunge pool which we could not enjoy, as the air was so thick with smoke. I was told by management that this is their ‘custom’. In our room with the jacuzzi, a man sat outside our room on the phone for approximately one hour, loudly. If they did not have outsiders, the smoking would have been lessened extensively, as most outsiders were the smokers, and most being from the island. The manager did offer us another room, but many of the problems were still the same. We were so unhappy that we wanted to leave the resort early but the manager would not honor our request without extensive penalties, and finally granting our request three days before our planned leave date (we were booked for 12 days). At approximately 11:00 am daily the staff escorts the renters to the available seats (which most times they put at the pool) but sometimes spilling over to the beach. On one particular day, the staff escorted 20 individuals from a cruise ship to their seats by the pool and they insisted they be put on the beach as they ‘paid too much for their day pass’. I later learned by an employee of a European company that these people were on a business trip and this was an excursion that they were on. The same day there were other people entering to rent a seat (I lost count at 25). In the beach restaurant menu, they advertise seat rentals for 50 Euros per day. With so many outside individuals entering the resort, we did not feel safety was a priority while staying at this resort. There had been two sexual encounters on beach chairs in front of us….one by the pool and the other by the beach - both by day pass individuals! The man on the beach proceeded to pull up his pants after! The hotel boasts sound proof rooms. We did not find this. The room we were in had banging doors early in the morning from proximity to a bathroom and staffing storage room. In many instances, people have two chairs and six people. These are cleary the day pass people. They have sat next to us and they were loud and unruly. We finally met the manager as we were leaving. He never made an effort to meet with us prior to diffuse this situation. He did have a service rep meet with us but it was like putting fuel on a fire. If you choose this resort, then you can expect more of this, as management has no clear intention of changing their policies. Clearly holding a five star rating, cannot understand it. Customer service at senior level is imperative. You have a choice, as now you know what to expect. We just wish someone informed us prior to our booking at Le Barthelemy. We would have passed on this resort.
Kaitraveler (2/5): Who calls children stupid during a jet ski lesson? - This is a review of the water sports lack of teamship and kindness. We booked a tour of two water jet skies for a tour of the island for our children and their friends. They were called stupid within the first three minutes. Our daughter cried. They were told they were too slow by another rude guest. Avoid all water sports here - they clearly have an attitude problem on the most beautiful island and bay. We are extremely disappointed not so much at the lack of professionalism which was extreme but the fact that our children 19-13 were belittled and screamed at for not going fast enough. While this is a separate business from the hotel it represents their brand. The hotel understood immediately and offered lunch for the following day but unfortunately the damage was already done to the children’s feelings and we all left highly disappointed. We would appreciate follow up here and a full refund. Our poor kids. Unacceptable business policy and treatment of other people. We did not book the fastest tour around the island but a jet ski experience where our kids could learn and have some fun. The opposite occurred.

The food at the restaurant is good-even for my French roots standards-, wait staff should be a little better trained for a 1 Michelin star ambition...Their smiles and warmth makes up for the few shortcomings as it would in a family vibe kind of way...Maybe beach and pool should have a special "family section" where kids can scream and run without disturbing the rest of the- mostly singles or couples- quiet clientele...and bike , RV's or scooter rentals should be offered (even at guest's own risk) instead of insane taxi fares with lazy drivers...Otherwise, we will give it another try in the future, thanks to Vasyliev and his team.

Aaron (6/5): - New property. Spacious rooms. Wi-Fi connection is poor. Many areas it does not work at all, and even if you have it it could break anytime. The biggest problem for us were the roosters constantly crowing (all day staring 3 am) from neighboring farms. They are really nearby and you could hear them with windows closed send shutters down. Plus during the day there is a construction works.

Bradley (10/5): Romantic St. Barts Getaway - This beautiful hotel is ideal for a romantic getaway in St. Barts. The service is excellent, and even included a shuttle to and from the ferry. Our room was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. The beach was ok, but the sand on the sea floor was often covered in algae, so we preferred to swim in the beautiful infinity swimming pool. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel!

My wife and I worked out the 14 days we were there, and not only did none of the other patrons wipe theirnsweat off the equipment or mats, but day after day the sweat on the machines was still there. The stagg doesnt even wipe it down and we were there for 2 weeks. We wiped doen everything for our workouts before and after. It was gross. The food was good. Not particularly great or intetesting. It was also a very limited menu.
