• Richard (8/5): Newish Clean Modern - This is a good 3.5 star hotel.It’s nice and quiet and my room had a great view of a large lotus pond.It’s a little out of the way but if you use Grab thats not a problem.The breakfast was decent considering the Covid and the lack of tourists.I give them a pat on the back for staying open and keeping their employees working,way to go Brique Hotel!! I will be back to this hotel in the future.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and new property. Stayed on 7th floor. Quiet and spacious room. Low season so we had the pool for ourselves two mornings in a row. Walking distance to Big C Extra. Pretty good buffet breakfast.

Not near city. ~ 2kg to Central Festival mall, provide limited shuttle bus to mall. 500m to Big C supermarket , but road very quiet and dark, not safe to walk at night. • Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice, clean & friendly staff. Good breakfast & very quiet & peaceful surrounding. It is a bit far from action so you have to take a taxi to go do things. The only things that are close by are a night outdoors food market & a magnificent resort across the street to visit. For everything else you have to take a taxi. But the hotel price is so reasonable that you can easily pay for taxi rides instead.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel away from the hustle-bustle. - Great, new hotel in a quiet area outside of the city centre but walking distance to Central Festival. Get a room with a lake view which will also have a view of Doi Suthep. The lake view corner suite is superb. Superb restaurant with lake and doi (mountain) views. Overall, a brilliant and inexpensive hotel if you want a quiet stay outside of hustle bustle and tourist traps of Chiang Mai... However, if you do want to visit the tourist traps, eg. the old city, the Night Bazaar and Niemanhaemin Road, then they are only an inexpensive 15 min taxi ride away.

• Vlad (6/5): - The property is new rooms are clean modern and beds are excellent. Staff is also very nice. Bit far from the old town but taxi fares are between 3 to 6 dollars to old town each way. Worth the price for the value you get from staying at the property. So why didn’t we didn’t like it. 2 out of 3 nights the owners had a party for their friends till 2:30 am was impossible to sleep till it was over. The last night the staff moved us to quiet room on the top floor and that fixed it for us. Credit to staff of the hotel but the owners are so inconsiderate that I would not stay there again. If you are planning on staying check and make sure there are no provide parties planned at the premesis.

• Chetan (2/5): Smelly hotel, bait and switch, disinterested staff - Very disappointed with the hotel. I booked for a family of 4 and my price included a deluxe room with breakfast included. When I got to the hotel, the put us up in a small room with 2 twin beds. When we asked for a change, they charged us an additional 1000 thb per night to accomodate us in a room with beds for 3 people. Also they demanded that I pay for breakfast for 1 person even though I had already paid for it with my booking. Because we were so jet-lagged and helpless, we had no choice but to pay up and put up. The room was pretty small. There was a foul smell of sewage in the bathroom one night and smell of urine the next night. It was so bad that you could not enter the bathroom. No amount of flushing got rid of it. We had to call the staff to have them use a chemical to get rid of the smell. Also the shower flooded and did not drain well. The staff was rude and disinterested at best. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They are not close to any of the attractions and because they do this bait and switch, the price the offer is not the price you will pay

• Bonita (8/5): A home away from home... - Pleasant. The pillows were the best. The hotel should consider seriously selling them to the guests. I had asked about this but no answer was given even though manager said she will get back to me. We had a very comfortable stay there. The breakfast menu can be improved though. I had almost the same breakfast for the duration of my stay.

• LOI (8/5): 少し中心街から離れてるが良いホテル - 中心街から離れているため、歩き回りたい方には向かないホテルかもしれません。 とは言ってもタクシーで200〜300Bなので そんなに気にする値段ないです。 スタッフは非常に親切で好感もてます。 こちらの準備不足でチケットを購入したはいいものの、開催される フェスティバルの会場がわからなく、尋ねたところ、ネットで一生懸命探してくれ、大変助かりました。 値段から考えるコスパはよい方だと思います。 シャワーしかないのが残念でした。

• Monique (8/5): Very nice modern hotel at a great price - Stayed in Thailand for a leisure trip with my son & friends. Hotel was very clean and staff was extremely helpful and polite. I requested a room with a double bed and received a miniature apartment with two bedrooms - one larger room with a queen bed and one smaller room with a twin bed. There was a living space with a couch and flat screen TV and also an open area with a kitchenette - stove top and mini fridge. Small balcony (no view) outside the bedroom window. Also had a nice balcony space facing the lake. Bed was soft & very comfortable. Breakfast area next door to hotel was designed very nicely.
• Linda (10/5): Portofino Hotel - The hotel was brand new still had some building going on but I couldn't hear any of the noise. The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable. Although it's a bit far from the main city. I will definitely stay here again!!

• Andrew J (6/5): Lonely and far from everything. Left after 1 night - Like a tomb... Hardly anyone there. I went to the bar for a cocktail - a beautiful bar, overlooking the lake, candlelit tables - and was THE ONLY PERSON THERE !! If you like to have a place "all to yourself", then this is your place.
• James (6/5): New place needs some extra lighting - The fact there are no side tables in the bedroom with lamps or lighting (other than the overheads) really ruined the stay here. If you read in bed it meant you had to get out of bed to turn out the lights. The same thing for shaving or putting on make up in the washroom. Otherwise it was great.

• Susanne (6/5): Opraktiskt och dyrt - Hotellet är splitternytt, men saknar praktiska detaljer som sänglampor, eluttag vid spegel så du kan föna håret. Personalen missade kaffe på rummet och en del andra små detaljer. Jättedyrt att äta och dricka, ca 5 ggr så dyrt som på grannrestaurangen. Rekommenderar att äta utanför hotellet. Frukosten medioker, dock kunde du få en rejäl omelett.
• lauandandy (10/5): Excellent stay - Amazingly Comfortable bed - The hotel even though still under it's 2nd phase of construction did not bother or effect our stay. Super friendly and helpful staff who speak excellent English. The pool was lovely with a nice tranquil view. We cannot recommend enough and will definately go back to the Portofino next time we are in Chiang Mai. A luxurious hotel at a very reasonable price. Although a little way out of the hustle and bustle of the city its a nice peaceful area and a short taxi ride gets you to the city in no time. A Big C supermarket a short walk away and Wednesday to Saturday it has a local night market in the car park... highly recommend dinner here!! Hotel provides free shuttle to local Festival Plaza shopping mall too.

De hämtade oss från vårt tidigare hotell. Bra mat, snabbt Internet, billigt. Minus för varmvattenberedare i ett sånt nytt hotell och minus för att AC fläktarna låter högt och är placerade på balkongen
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great Staff, Nice Hotel - The staff is excellent, they are all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was a condominium before it became a hotel. So there are some advantages and disadvantages associated with that. For instance, you have a separation between the living area and the bedroom. But you do not have enough storage space. It is far away from the center of Chiang Mai, but you have restaurants and Big C Extra close by.
• weddingfam (8/5): Excellent hotel uncomfortable sofa - The staff and rooms were impeccable. However, the sofa that is used to sit and watch the television is too small and very very uncomfortable. I couldn't believe it was part of the room. We loved the hotel services but a new sofa will definitely give this hotel a five star rating.
• STEVE MUN FOOK (6/5): Nice & Clean but construction was incomplete - Setting was nice and relaxing for a "away from the city" setting. However, construction was not complete and spa was not ready.
• Diana (10/5): Perfect hotel just outside the hustle bustle - Brand new hotel just a mile outside the city with great views. The staff was excellent, especially Kathy and Dream . They were currently working on the hotel bar which is gonna be amazing. Loved their mattress, pillows were a little soft. We felt very at home there.
• Ivey (10/5): New gem in Chiang Mai - I LOVED my stay at Portofino. I even extended another night. I was nervous to stay because there were no reviews, but that's because they've only been open 2 months. I would recommend this hotel to friends. Glad I took the risk and stayed! The bed was so comfortable!!! Very clean room. Great room size, bed, and towel quality... especially for the price. The only draw-back is that it is not near a lot of main attractions. You'll have to take a cab most places instead of cheaper transport, but this is Thailand, so it's not really that expensive. Because it's not in the middle of a busy street, it is nice and quiet! Loved Dream at the front desk. She speaks great English and was so nice and helpful!

You get a fridge with drinks and snacks at an additional cost but it was nice to know you had them there. Water and coffee refilled every morning which was super! Pool was so refreshing. The staff was great. When checked in Kathy greeted us and took us to our room which was awesome. She was great and super accommodating. Our favourite was Dream! She will assist you with absolutely anything you need! Always with a big smile and super sweet. She was by far our favourite staff memeber in Chiang Mai. It was definitely a great stay!
