The room we booked was not the room we were given the photos used on Expedia are probably from the previous owner as they look nothing like it inside. Aweful. Makes me question using Expedia as they can't have checked the state of the place!
• Bobby (2/5): - One image says it all. Avoid at all costs. The hotel smells of mould/ damp as you walk in. I was told I had the best room. Hotel think it’s completely acceptable to let a child sleep next to a mouldy bed. Bed linen dirty. Walked out of the hotel, was told I could get a refund only for them to retract once I disputed with hotels.com
• Henry (2/5): - This hotel made me and my children sick both mentally and physically. When we entered the area, the building itself looked desheveled and almost abandoned. It was disgusting. The entrance was locked, and a poorly dressed man had to come open the door for us. Upon entering, a wave of an unatural and unpleasant scent stuck us. An ancient elevator (which probably violated many safety regulations) took us up to the third floor, where black mold and and holes could be seen in every nuck and crevace of the hotel (if it can even be called that). The room we stayed at looked nothing like what was advertised. The smell somehow worsened in the room. While there were towels and pillows provided, they were disgusting and stained with who-knows-what. The blackents and duvets looked and smelt as if they hadn't been washed since the "hotel" was first opened and the tv which looked more like and ipad on the wall beared worked. The socets in the room were covered in mold and electrical tape. Blood was smeared across the bathroom and the showered only produced cold water. Worst of all there were bugs found when we lifted the blanket. I felt sick to my stomach. Both my son and my daughter vomited. 10/10 worst hotel experience of my life.
• Jodie (2/5): Crawling with bed bugs - On arrival nobody was there jst a phone number. He arrived after 5 minutes and took us to our room whilst on the phone in another language. He opened the door and left. The room was basic which is fine. The room was filthy, the cups full of grime. The worst part was the bed bugs!!! We approached the owner who said the room has been cleaned!! NEVER! We was out of there with no refund! Having to find another hotel at 3pm in the afternoon!! Absolute hell hole

• Verified traveler (2/5): High Prices, Low Quality. - This has got to be the worst property i have dtayed in, whilst booking through Hotels.Com. On arrival you have to ring a number that is on the door and someone comes and lets you in. This is where the fun started. I confirmed who I was and that i had booked 2 rooms, the gentlemen argues i had booked 1 room for 4 adults and 1 child. I showed emails from Hotels.com with the booking conformation for 2 rooms and the proce i had paid. He still argued i had booked 1 toom through Bookings.com which i did not. I asked to get my miney back if they were not giving me 2 rooms and he soon found 2 rooms for us. The rooms were not the best in cleanliness, there was NO hot water for a shower in the morning in both rooms we booked. The towels were clean which was a positive. The continetal breakfast was cereal, boiled eggs and toast, we skipped this and went to a cafe around the corner. Parking the Car is £10 which was another added extra thats not advertised when booking this property. I have never gave a bad review on a property i have booked with Hotels.Com in about 10yrs, But i feel this needs identifying to potential new guests that are looking for a place to stay in Blackpool. Please look to book elsewhere that you are appreciated staying at.
• Animesh (2/5): Only if you want to waste money and spolie you trp - I booked for 4 ppl including my wife and two kids, room and lobbies were smelly, staff was not aware that i have booking, he gave the keys for some room.and left. I seached the room and found that it has just one single bed and one double. My son started feeling sick in the room in 5 mins, i requsted to provide that proper room but staff said no rooms available.when i booked it says hotel has parking but there was no parking available. I was so frustrated thst i left the keys in the reception and left, after all this hotel has refused to refund my money.so never go for this hotel.

• philip (2/5): Do not book this hotel. - Upon arrival the hotel was locked. There was a mobile number on the door which we rang, there was no answer. Eventually someone turned up and opened the door. When we walked in to the reception/bar area it looked like the hotel had been shut for years. The decor, smell and overall appearance was disgusting. The gentleman muttered something about cleaning some rooms for us but we made the decision tonleave the premises. Both inside and outside of the building were in a state of really bad repair and there was no way we could have stayed there.

• Gary (2/5): - The place stinks, afterwards my clothes smelt of the place. The room, there was bricks & other debris on the one bed, no towels provided. The other room could be entered without the need of a key. Arrived at 3pm, breakfast items still out, juice, milk, bread. Most unpleasant experience ever, expedia need to remove these places from the choices.

Homeless people doin the room cleaning aswell Never had this bad of an experience in 30yrs of travelling around if you can call this one a hotel Avoid!!!! Luckily enough found another hotel 😮‍💨

Then was told we had not paid but shown them the bank statement he then we could not stay and would refund if money goes into his account. Said I would complain and he went off for 5 mins and took us to a room which was not clean. Mess on carpet dirty basin left over shower gel etc. was to late to find anywhere else so had to stay. We were the only people in the place. Very run down and it was also twice the price of ones in same street don’t be fooled by the photos. Could not wait to get out in the morning.

• janine (2/5): Disappointing - Just don't book here we had to wait an hour to check in and when they did turn up they couldn't find my name on the list, was backwards and forwards trying to sort it out for 2hours in this time I'm having a panic attack and the kids are bord silly. It said there was a gym a bar nothing like this there was no entertainment on a night very disappointing the breakfast was not a cooked breakfast it was cereal and toast disappointing again, really terrible 1st family holiday just me and my 2 kids.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Pretty disappointing all round - Waited a long time to check in as nobody at the front desk. When we finally got to our room it appeared clean and in line with what we expected. However, the room had no toilet roll and when we lifted the bed covers we noticed stains to the bedding and no staff around to raise the issue with as it was late. And bedding/towels weren’t refreshed during our 2-night stay. Also, the breakfast included consisted of a small selection of cereals, toast and cold boiled eggs. Pretty disappointing all round and won’t be returning.

• Paula (2/5): Absolutely Awful - I honestly don’t know where to start and I’ll probably run out of room! Check in 2pm, arrived 5.40 pm, room not ready, no apology, no explanation, nothing. Staff could not care less, no conversation, no eye contact, didn’t show us where everything was, nothing. Parking is available but at £10 a day, breakfast is available but it’s seriously lacking, toast, cereal and boiled eggs. Room grotty and run down, outside area filthy. Please believe me that any stars/ratings that this hotel has got are out dated, I don’t know the intentions of the owners/management but it’s certainly not to run a hotel successfully, they literally couldn’t give a fig, so unfriendly I can’t get my head round it, I’m going to contact Hotels.Com because I’m sure that they would not want this property on their website. And it’s not just me, some of the other guests complaints were just awful, lights not working, sockets hanging off the wall and everyone complaining about the couldn’t care less attitude of the management, it mind boggling. Avoid at all costs.

• Fiona (8/5): Great location - Great location, the bar guy was friendly, breakfast was included that consisted of individual boxes of branded cereal, toast, marmalade, jam, boiled eggs, water, orange juice, tea & coffee, decor is a bit dated but was more than adequate for our stay, we would stay again purely based on its location.
• Natalie (2/5): DISGRACEFUL - Absolutely shocking. Currently fighting for my money back. Ruined our weekend. Supposed to stay for 2 nights but booked another hotel for the second. Live wires coming out of the walls, I had my 1 year old daughter and 3 year old son. Do not book. I wouldn't send any animal there 😞
• Stefano (2/5): - The room was awful, not clean and very small. (Room10) The toilet door was not fully closing, the shower head old and full of limescale. In the kettle was some left over water and appeared mouldy. The window dirty. The rest of the place was just not maintained. When we arrived there were 3 big lining bags on the floor at the entrance, 3 days after there still were there not been moved. The manager never been around, phoned on the arrival and she appeared not happy about receiving phone calls redirecting me to the reception ( a good lad actually). Poor attitude and I will never come back.

• Jason (2/5): - Apart from checking in, it is not manned. Promised “Continental Breakfast’. First morning went down and there were about 10 hard boiled ( in shell) battery eggs, an opened loaf of bread to make yourself some toast and couldn’t even have cereal or a cup of tea as milk was off ! Nobody to complain to. There were lots of plug sockets and light switches that were unsafe. ( hanging of the walls or cracked and wires showing. Loads of old beds and toilets at rear of property where they have cheek to charge for parking. Condoms on external window sills ! Very expensive for rubbish service and unsafe and unwelcoming facilities. Highly disappointed! This place should be closed for refurbishment and reported to trading standards authority!

• Darren (2/5): Halloween nightmare !!! - We chose this hotel as it was advertised as having parking There was no parking spaces when we arrived!!! We are both disabled and can’t walk far which is why we booked this hotel with parking!!! On check in we were told the hotel only has 5 spaces and they were full any parking should have been booked and paid for in advance. There was no mention of this when booking I rang the hotel several times and couldn’t get in touch with anyone all I got was mailbox was full unable to leave a message. We visited Blackpool for a birthday celebration and a meal was booked in the nearby Italians . as I was unable to park at the hotel I spent 2 hours looking for a parking space due to it been the switching on of the illuminations there were no spaces anywhere and the traffic was horrendous. We had to drive further away from the shore to find a pub with a car park by this time we had missed the birthday celebration and meal which was the reason we traveled 150miles . Thanks to the false advertising our stay in Blackpool was a complete waste of time and money !!!!! The hotel was dated room was not secure the main light didn’t even work couldn’t find bathroom light switch The mattress felt as old and worn as the building The breakfast was very poorly organised We didn’t know where it was there was no staff to ask no signs when we eventually found it there was no fruit juice left no bread the toast machine didn’t work although there was a toaster .
• Ann (8/5): Not go again - The room was so small the bathroom was not very clean but breakfast was excellent 5 out of 5 service was excellent but it was not expensive so i got what was expected

• Verified traveler (2/5): Not what I accepted - I was extremely disappointed the room was nothing like the picture very small with a smoggy smell and old fashioned,no safety cover over the old radiator unable to open windows or close bathroom window,stains on sheets one of the lamps kept flickering and the bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom shower was very old and grotty, the lamp in the bathroom didn't work. The lock on the door was loss which made me feel insecure to stay in or leave my things belongings, it was difficult to speak to safe problems with the pipes which was concerning they made noise the bar wasn't open in the evening there was a limit on breakfast and the food tasted like it was cooked in old oil.

• Laura (4/5): Not worth the money. Dated and noisy. - We stayed in room 17. Avoid it. We expected it to be dated. But the windows down close or have gaps, you hear everyone drunk arriving back in the early hours as your above the front door: it’s drafty and cold. The sheets had stains although clean, the room was liveable. Breakfast average, ran out of everything within minutes and failed to top up for ages… Only an hour for breakfast so abit of a mad rush. The bar had limited stock. The parking limited; only 3 spaces. The mattresses had lost their spring. For the condition of the hotel, and amenities… £80 is not value for money. I’d have paid £30 at most. If your not bothered about dated decor and noise. Crack on. But not for families.

• Stacey (4/5): Not worth money to stay in - Front of house didn't know what floor we was on , no help with luggage, room not family friendly as stated tv was a stamp size no working remote child bed next to plug sockets ( sparking if anything connected) showers from 50s and not cleaned, dust around room and carpet edges , main building out dated ( from 50s-60s) , no tables service only 1 toaster working, bar was a ghost town nothing working (beer pumps bandits no change to play pool) no staff present for friendly face upon entering, wasnt worth the money paid out for this experience disappointed family stay
• Verified traveler (2/5): Unhappy - Pretty disappointed with this hotel parking is extra £10 the spaces to park make it almost impossible to not damage your own car or others. The door wouldnt open late last night even with the code. Id tried calling numerous times for days before my stay and there was no answer. 8.55am this morning 5 min before breakfast there was no staff in at all so we left it. Probably avoid unless inly going for piss up.... but even then you cant get in at night we had to get someone inside to open the front door. Burn marks in carpert. Old style rooms and bathrooms cheap cheerful if need a bed for a night not much else.
