• Matthew (9/5): Great Value Just on the Edge of Downtown Vancouver - Windows that open. Good layout. Clean. Comfortable beds. Moderate walking distance to major attractions. Short distance to bus to Stanley Park. Window opened out onto Broughton St. and the Community Garden which I am sure is amazing in the Summer and Autumn. My stay was in May during planting season so the smell of manure would occasionally waft in.

Or you can walk, it is not that far from downtown, harbor and Stanley Park. Good restaurant next door for breakfast and lunch, close to other restaurants and shops on Barclay Street. Construction site - but they warn about it. No elevator.
• Allan ROSS (1/5): Don't stay here! - There is nothing to like about this hotel. You should delete it from your list of Vancouver hotels. The building is old & not well maintained. The plaster on the room walls was badly chipped, bathroom vanity was rotting at floor level, air conditioning did not work, curtains were two different lengths & did not adequately cover the windows, there was no complimentary coffee or even a jug, there is no elevator & the stairs were steep.

• Shaw (3/5): The hotel is not accessible. - Staff was very helpful. When I booked, I saw there was no elevator. I reached out to the peppery directly and requested a first floor room because my husband walks with a cane. I received an email assuring me I would have a room with "minimal steps." When we got there it turns out the hotel has NO first floor rooms. The minimal steps turned out to be a 15-step staircase! They're is nothing on the first floor except the check-in desk.

Der Stanley Park ist nicht weit entfernt. Die Unterkunft war sehr laut, durch eine im Fenster eingelassene Lüftung. Das Zimmer war sehr altbacken.

• Pamela (10/5): Stay here it’s great…say hi to Bob! - I’ve been staying at The Barclay for thirty five years..it is my home away from home when i visit Vancouver for an event.I always enjoy a catch up with Robert the best concierge in Vancouver and the convenience of the location makes everything I do walking distance. I am not a fan of the new entrance …so tacky..what a shame to ruin the appeal of an old European style grand dame of a vintage hotel.

Bom custo-benefício em Vancouver, onde as hospedagens são bem caras. Inexistência de café da manhã e elevador. Tive um pouco de dificuldade de entender como o chuveiro funcionava rs.

• macarena ignacia (7/5): Good location - The receptionist really nice and friendly he even curried our luggage , as the building doesn't have lifts my fault I didn't check it before . Is a small hotel so is not really fancy , but is worthy for the money spend honestly nice location and nice staff , of course if you are not looking for a fancy hotel this one is perfect for a short stay . The building is a bit old however is ok for the price .

• Paul (8/5): I don’t think it was exactly what I paid for. - Location and price There was no lift and not even a hot water jug or tea & coffee etc, just a frig and 2 glasses. The room layout was a bit different. No pre booking advice that the hotel was undergoing some construction upgrades.

• Chris (7/5): Overall ok - Parking is limited and expensive. If you are planning on parking overnight on the street in front of the hotel make sure to check your parking ticket receipt. I paid with debit tap and assumed it was paid. Unfortunately the tap payment didn't go through ( unbeknownst to me) and i had a $46 city of Van ticket on my windshield. Not pleased..!

The lady at 9am when we were checking out, I asked abvolut a parking spot since we arrived late the nite before 11pm, the spots were all taken. I asked if I could move my car from the street to the back and she said I should just park on the street.

• Anne (9/5): Great stay in downtown Vancouver. - This property was a delight. It was so well located we could walk everywhere. While it was older it had a certain charm. We were very happy with our room and while there was a certain amount of street noise, within the building it was quiet. The only thing that was lacking was a microwave although there were so many restaurants around perhaps it is not necessary.

• msken (8/5): Great location for both sightseeing and business - The hotel is right on Robson Street, surrounded by shops and affordable international restaurants. It’s well connected — bus stop right outside and train station nearby — and just a 15-minute waterfront walk to the convention center. The front desk staff were very friendly and lent me an umbrella for my entire stay, which was a lovely touch. The elevator was out of service due to renovations, which was inconvenient. The room had a fridge but no electric kettle.
• Catalin (9/5): J'ai apprécié mon séjour à l'hôtel Barclay et j'y retournerai si l'occasion se présente. - Studio spacieux, propre, avec bonne literie et sans nuisances sonores (malgré des travaux de réfection en cours). Emplacement à 20 minutes à pied du centre de congrès. Personnel agréable. Petit frigo disponible dans le studio, ce qui est très appréciable. L'éclairage de la chambre n'est pas suffisant à mon goût, j'aurais préféré des ampoules plus puissantes au plafond. Si possible, prévoir une petite lampe sur le bureau, ce serait un grand plus. Idéalement, disposer d'une petite cafetière dans la chambre serait appréciable.

• Crystal (8/5): It was okay - The cleaning staff were absolutely amazing! Didn’t like that they wouldn’t let us listen to music in the early afternoon that wasn’t even loud. Was a bit frustrating. Also didn’t like that there is no elevator.
