Guest Reviews
- Tom (10/5): - Very well, kept property and very relaxing. Was with a group of golfers and the golf course was absolutely fantastic.
- Gail (8/5): - Scenery was beautiful. Food was good. Portions plentiful. Staff all friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was no lake view from our room balcony and weather was too hot to do much outside. Planning on returning.
- Jeff (10/5): - This park appears to have it all. Plenty of activities and the accommodations were great. The rooms were very clean and they were quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Kelly (8/5): First time visitors - The staff was all very kind and helpful. The location is perfect and it was well-kept. The restaurant was good and the prices were low. We wish the room would have had a refrigerator. The pool was nice, but the lounge chairs need replaced.
- Kailyn (10/5): - The property is in a great location close to the lake. I didn’t like how the staff would let people with boats clog multiple parking spots and make the parking lot unnavigable. My car was almost hit by a boater several times.
- Travis (10/5): - Would definitely recommend them will definitely be going back sulfur Creek rentals has the best rates on renting boats
- Lisa (10/5): - Friendly staff, excellent food at a good price. Would recommend mini fridges in room.
- Karen (4/5): - Room was full of gnats because of gap at bottom of door. Let front desk know but did not seem to care. Said to see housekeeping next day but did not see any. No refrigerator to store food. No microwave to heat food.
- Tia (10/5): - The best place- hands down to relax. Staff was so friendly, everything was neat & clean. Dining option on site had good food although no free options. Beautiful, secluded, and serene!
- William (10/5): - Peaceful
- Danny (10/5): - We especially liked the courteous staff and privacy afforded us here.
- Charles H. (10/5): - Very clean
All staff very helpful
- Freddie (10/5): - Everything great
- Van (10/5): - The State Park has amenities for all ages. The trails were nice; the restaurant was excellent and convenient; several marinas were close; the lake was really gorgeous. This was our second visit to the resort, and we are already booked for October 2025.
- LaDonna (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent.
- Laura (10/5): - Perfect
- Candice (8/5): - The rooms are outdated (bathroom has pink tile, rust in shower, mattress needs an upgrade) but the views are incredible!
- William (10/5): Weekend trip - Great escape to Dale Hollow Lake
- Stefhanie (10/5): Hidden gem - Trip was a family weekend getaway, and the lodge was a great location to stay for our destination. The only complaint I had, and its just a personal preference, were the size of the beds. They were only a full size, and just a bit small for our liking. But the rest was just perfect. Everyone was so nice and the room was really clean.
- Darrin (8/5): - Quite
- Ann (6/5): - Shower water pressure was very bad..The facility needs to be updated in general. The staff was friendly and helpful in dining room.Grounds were clean as well as our room.
- Darren (8/5): - Very professional staff. Modern room. Great area.
- Willie (10/5): - Beautiful area very nice facilities
- Jesse (10/5): Lake stay - The restaurant was great, hotel staff called to let us know ahead time what time the restaurant closed, great environment
- Mark (10/5): Good place, Great deal - Great property, rooms are modern, restaurant has decent choices
- Annace C (10/5): - The room was good and it had a great lake view. The room had a balcony w seating which was enjoyable to sit outside and see the lake. I was able to get the mini fridge I requested which made the stay even better to keep water and food cold. The place is pet friendly which is why I selected to go there. It had ample greenery for pet walking, and they had pet doggie bags for easy pick up and discard. I had brought my own doggie bags, but rate the location exceptional for pets. The swimming pool looked nice w several seating areas. They also had a kid play area, walking trails and a mini golf course next to the campground. The dining room was large, good staff and good food. I was disappointed that the did not have the buffet available during the week. I was told they usu have buffet avail only on weekends. They offered other activities, and a cave tour etc. The retail store is very limited with some tshirts, coffee cups etc. The room was quiet, flat screen Tv, had iron, ironing board and hair dryer. It was a nice 2 night getaway.
- Valerie (10/5): - The view of the lake is wonderful and convenient dining at the lodge..
- Jason (10/5): - It was so relaxing
- Barbara (4/5): - The staff at the front office were nice. However, they offered no information about the area, no information about their dining options, where the pool was located, the hours of the pool, etc.
We were very disappointed in our room. We were told there would be no housekeeping done the next day. The floors were really dirty. The reason why I know this is because I wore my slipper socks and when I got in the shower the next day they were filthy dirty. We were on the ground floor and we had crickets in our room. The tray that holds the plastic cups in the ice bucket was dirty. I don’t know when the last time it was wiped off. Luckily I brought Lysol wipes because I wiped down the TV remote, the bathroom sink, the Dresser, and the table etc. If the room was clean I wouldn’t have to do this.
Then I called the front desk and asked why we were not giving a small refrigerator. They told me my reservation did not include this. I asked them if there was anyway that I could get one and they told me that they would check into it and get back with me and they never called me back.
When we went swimming in the pool it was so dirty. The only thing that they did was check the chlorine level. There was no pool towels for us to use which we were told they would be there both nights. They need to hire someone that will vacuum out the pool every night. Especially how many people actually get in the pool.
In closing, we will not stay at a state resort again.
- Michael (10/5): Great Place to Stay - Super clean, grounds were immaculate. There are 4&5 star hotels that could learn alot from Dale Hollow State Park Resort. Staff was amazing. Thanks.
- Kurt (6/5): - As a mom of two little kids, it was hard not having a fridge. I also missed having free coffee in the mornings that I am used to at other lodges.
- Robert (10/5): - Nice place
- Nick (10/5): - Nice quiet place.
- James (10/5): - Great location and near restaurants and groups stores.
- Christina (10/5): Beautiful View - Lovely State Park Lodge. Clean rooms. Beautiful view of the lake. Be sure to book a lake view room. It is worth it.
- Magan (10/5): - Very beautiful property quite area
- Debra (8/5): - Beautiful view
- Dana (10/5): Wonderful Stop - Everything was top notch from check in to departure. Phil upgraded our room so we could get a better view of the lake which was amazing. The restaurant had a great view of the lake and was priced very reasonable. We will be planning another trip to this location in the future.
- Laura (10/5): - This was a great place to spend a quiet weekend. I was there in March. My guess is it’s much busier in the summer months.
- Kristina (10/5): - Definitely recommend staying here instead of a big hotel. For the price and views you can't go wrong.
- Shannon (10/5): - The view of the lake is breathtaking
- Wayne (8/5): - Pretty nice view
- Sherry (10/5): Great stay - It was good. I just wush we couldve gotten more towels. It was so late when we got back to our room, we did not want to stop at the desk or call for any (if that had been possible because we were in 2nd building). I wish we couldve said to automatically replace. Otherwise, the customer service was superb. It was hard to find at night bc our maps took us to the marina and it was dark. Now we know in the future. Overall, a great stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful Lake stay - I highly recommend the lake view room. It was so beautiful. I was in town for meetings so I didn't get to enjoy the amenities as much as I would have liked. The breakfast buffet was great and perfect for getting a full breakfast quickly,
- Cristina (10/5): 👍👍👍 - The cleanest place I’ve stayed since COVID. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Very satisfied! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!
- Jimmilyn (10/5): - Gorgeous views and friendly staff.
- Bobby (8/5): Good place to stay - It’s very clean and comfortable.
- Whitney (6/5): - Property was pretty old and hasn’t been updated, but was clean. Restaurant was basic, but the service was excellent!
- Daniela (10/5): - The service was A ok! The room was clean however I was shocked it was without a refrigerator and microwave. The view was amazingly beautiful! The food was awesome and reasonably priced. I’d recommend this place to anyone! I look forward to coming back!
- Matthew (8/5): - This park is an excellent location with a spectacular view of the lake, and the cost of the room is very reasonable. There are trails to hike. It appears to be well maintained. The HVAC unit in the room was fixed so you could not circulate air without heating or cooling, and that was annoying. The only option was to have the balcony door open but there were signs asking you to not do that. I could not sleep because of that. We will look elsewhere next year. Thanks for your hospitality.
- Larry (10/5): - Excellent customer service
- Daniel (10/5): - Good room
- alan (10/5): - Lake view.
- Joseph (10/5): - Rooms were a bit dated but balcony overlooking the lake was a million dollar view. Food was an excellent value and property location outstanding.
- Jonn (10/5): Dale Hollow Resort. - Great stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Dale Hollow Lake Lodge outstanding - The staff were very nice and accommodating! Anything you needed they were there to assist. Eating in the lodge restaurant was a treat also. Southern hospitality at it’s finest!
- John (10/5): - Stayed there for a family reunion it was awesome- we had to leave a day early but Resort was very accomitting
- Walt (10/5): - I have no compllaints.
- Danielle (10/5): - Accommodations were basic, but clean & comfortable. Very quiet room.
- susan (10/5): - I have been to the resort many times throughout the years. I missed the buffet style dining. The Room we stayed in was clean and we even had a cool balcony furnished with chairs and a table. It was quiet and I will return again.
also I want to thank the girls at the front desk.
- Robyn (8/5): - The first floor room we were given was clean and appropriate for our use because we had our dog with us and there was no carpet, just a hard vinyl surface. The aspect we did not like was that the pool was closed. They said the pump was broken. It was July and very hot outside so pool use would have been appreciated. Thankfully the AC was functioning well.
- Victoria (10/5): Can’t wait to stay again - Every person from the staff we came into contact with was so welcoming and friendly. The scenery was stunning, there’s so much to do, the food is amazing. Can’t wait to stay again.
- Jo (10/5): Happy Camper - Was very pleased with our stay at Dale Hollow resort. Very clean great staff and restaurant and golf course were amazing
- Judy (10/5): - Very clean. Very relaxing and the staff was super nice
- Becki (2/5): - It’s not what I’d call a “resort” at all. If you have a boat or golf it might be good ok. No fridge or microwave in the room, far from stores. Restaurant is closed at times, no 24 hr service. Disappointed.
- Wilfred (6/5): - A little old and tired
- Edward (10/5): - Wonderful facility. Great room. Friendly staff. Great view from balcony.
- Arthur (8/5): Good room, good fishing. - Everything was good. Only complaint: there’s no microwave or small refrigerator in the room.
- Shawn (6/5): - Please update! Great location and view. Great people! 1980’s rooms with 2022 prices.
There are VERY few options to eat in the area so this hotel should be leading the way. It is weeks behind still scared of Covid. In the past this lodge was known for great food.
- Boao (10/5): - View was great. Room was clean.
- Eric (10/5): - Location, we were there to fish over the Thanksgiving holiday. Boat parking lot with power hookups
- Christian (6/5): - Need to upgrade the shower head and lawn outside our room needed to be cut. Staff was really helpful and courteous. A/C needed to be worked on, it was loud while running.
- Troy (10/5): - Dal Hollow Lake was out our back door
- MALGORZATA (10/5): - Beautiful place !!!!
- Marcia (10/5): - It appears they are keeping the property updated and taken care of. It is a beautiful park and the Lodge was very clean and comfortable. Only negative was the dining situation. Due to staff shortage they said, it was order abd carry out only when we got there. It is pretty isolated location so it made for less than enjoyable eating situation. The good we did eat was very good however.
- Gary William (10/5): - Great room.Quiet and clean.Have stayed before and will stay again.
- Kathy (6/5): - no refrigerator or microwave in room. to get one had to pay. The cost was high enough tho i reserved way in advance an got a discount. View was great on second floor we were on the first.
- Mary Ann (8/5): - I like the lakeview
I didn't like all the spiders and the webs on the balcony
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is so well-kept and the people are so friendly. One of my favorite places to go
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the balcony on the back of our room! Beautiful view of the lake.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The front desk guy was kinda rude.
Room was clean.
Resort nice.
- Sheryl (10/5): AWESOME - Great place to stay. Short drive to marina and camp store. Rooms dehumidifier works great and the air conditioning comfortable bed and great shower. Love the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was close to Lake and the Marina.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - If you are RVing this is a perfect spot. we are definitely going back some of our party stayed in the Lodge which was excellent with the most breath taking views. A lot to do at this park too and the staff was extra helpful I would have like to stay longer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The beds were hard but over all it was a good stay .
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Couldn't find a cup of tea anywhere and the check in gentle man was not helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved the setting! Beautiful place! We will be back!
- Mike (8/5): Nice and quiet. - Front desk not outgoing , minimal info ,not welcoming .Everything else restraunt etc , ok .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Beautiful view, good parking, comfortable, room very outdated, no water pressure for shower, I will not go back unless they refurbish the rooms. Everyone very friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful view from lake view rooms with balcony. Nice space for coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening. Nice sized pool for hot days. Service at the Lodge on-site restaurant was a little slow, but was nice to have an on-site option for dining. Easy access to trails, boat rental, golfing. Great stay for a short getaway.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was awesome but we didn’t have the beautiful view of the lake that the other building had which was disappointing. Not having a refrigerator or microwave in the room was okay but we had to purchase a cooler to store waters and snacks in. The peace and quiet was appreciated however and we would return but request the building with a view.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful scenery
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good place
Recommend riding (on lobby has couple directions plan)
Room is good but not a good clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was excited the restaurant was open. Bathroom had convenient dispensers for hair and body wash
- Robert (10/5): Dale Hollow State Park Lodge - Very relaxing location with a beautiful view of the lake from my balcony. Clean room and nice restaurant in the lodge.
- Renee (8/5): My two day stay - Beautiful facility overlooking the lake very friendly staff especially in the dining room area very clean. Only downfall no refrigerator or microwave or clock in the room other than that it was wonderful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - On a business trip and opted to stay here in lieu of popular hotels. Dining outside- overlooking the lake= priceless
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The view
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
Beautiful scenery. Nice place to vacation. Staff very helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful views of the lake!! Quiet, delightful, peaceful! Friendly staff! Exquisite southern hospitality!
