He was so helpful when we arrived very early the day of our checkin and made sure we felt welcome in the lobby and gladly stored our luggage so we could explore the city while we waited for our room to be ready. He also remembered us by name the next morning! The breakfast staff was also fantastic. We had some challenges in our room with returning to find the light fixture had fallen off the wall and the evening staff not being as friendly and seemed we were bothering them with the notification. Great location and I would stay again based on the experience with the morning team to give the hotel another chance.

It was the perfect location, accessible to the wedding venue with the transport service we hired, a short uber to the welcome party location, easy access for our out-of-town travelers. Clean. Staff was wonderful! Great experience.

The rooms are modern and has the amenities that we need, fridge, coffee maker, decent channels on tv, iron and ironing board, hooks in the bathroom, nice amount of hangers. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast had something for everyone. The front desk girl was very nice. There were a few things that I didn’t care for, there is major construction going on across the street and if you want to check in early, before noon it’s $75, if the room is ready why charge extra, what’s the difference… All in all we had a good stay.

We enjoyed a special interaction with staff member Angel. He was the attendant in the breakfast area. - 341laurelh (10/5): Knee surgery recovery - I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I stayed here for a week while imitially recovering from knee surgery. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was accessible and clean. I loved going up to the rooftop terrace to get some sunshine. You can see their beautiful green roof and even see the lake in the distance. The location was perfect for my partner to go out and get me food from the surrounding restaurants or catch the train to work. 10/10 highly recommend staying somewhere with unlimited ice when you're stuck in bed icing your knee every couple hours.

Called front desk at 730 am and they found me a different room and no further issues. Shared video of noise with gal at front desk. I have stayed at several 5 star hotels in Chicago and the service provided by the staff at this Hampton far surpasses them all. Claire and Carlos at the front desk were kind, efficient and friendly. They both started and ended the stay on a high note. Angel who handled breakfast service with a good attitude and smile despite the fact that some guests pushed him to the edge. He is a star! Finally, assistant GM Jeremy seemed to pitch in anywhere he was needed and was happy to help with anything asked of him. These are just a few of the employees who made our stay wonderful. Claire, Carlos, Angel and Jeremy are true assets to your organization and should be recognized as such!
- R9793OZdanj (10/5): Phenomenal Service at a human level. - Without going into to much detail, I wanted to commend the front desk attendant, Maja. My stay at the hotel was more of an urgent need due to a personal situation and she recognized that I was dealing with something and went the extra mile to show kindness and compassion. Something that seems to be exceedingly rare these days. When I shared a small bit of what was going on, she went above and beyond to help me with the situation I was dealing with. It was a small but touching gesture that gave me back a bit of the faith I had lost in people. I can't commend her enough for her exceeding service beyond any expectations of the role she was in. If Maja is any indication of the level of service this hotel offers, then it is probably the best place I've ever stayed from a human element. Thank you.

- Bernita (4/5): - When I initially got there, I could not sign in until late that evening. All of the sites were down when they finally put me in a room. My son and I walked in and there was a strong bad smell in Rome that smelled like somebody had urinated on the floors. They took me to another room in that room was basic but OK. I was charged the $150 fee three times in my checking account which made several things in that account bounce because that was my account that I just kept my little extras on and it took several days for me to get my money back from the bank that was the holding fee. I was extremely disappointed by that

They were so kind and easy to work with on a hotel block and many of our guests chose them for the price point and the proximity to the wedding venue! - knezzy (10/5): A Gem on the North Side! - I am a Chicago native who recently relocated to Arizona. Every time I come back for a visit I try to stay at this Hampton Inn. It probably is the best Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at anywhere, and I travel quite a bit! This is my fourth time staying here, and I love the consistency of this hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, the workout room is perfect for me, they have a beautiful lobby, a really nice rooftop deck, a terrific location, and easy access to downtown. While all of that is terrific, it’s the people that work there that make me keep coming back. Reena, Maya, Lorenzo, Angel, Jeremie and Carlos are truly exceptional! Sorry if I misspelled your names, but I’m traveling back on an airplane right now and cannot find your correct spelling on the card that you gave me. I really want to recognize each and every one of these people as I had a wonderful experience with each of them. There was another woman there in the evening with Maya, who was also very good and actually knew my son from a previous job. Each of these people went out of their way to either help me or just make me feel good about staying here. It’s a beautiful international community of wonderful service oriented people. I spent many years at The Walt Disney Company so I really feel like I’m qualified to talk about a service oriented culture. This is definitely one! I would highly recommend staying here when you’re in Chicago. Oh, and go Ramblers!

- Culture58496189055 (10/5): REENA, to our rescue!!!! - He had to take a red eye into chicago, and our reservation was not open until 3pm. REENA, REENA, REENA!!! CAME TO AlOUR RESCUE!!! My wife and I were exhausted, and REENA, with 100% kindness, compassion and professionalism, STARTED OUR TRIP OFF WITH A BANG! We love staying at this hotel because it's close to everywhere. Will kept you up a little bit and they won’t let me park my pick up in their back lot parking garage two blocks away. I went put in at all because it was too skinny. I don’t think I’d be coming back to this place.

- alexnR4298KT (4/5): What would have otherwise been a great day in Chicago... - Called to confirm booking the day of for a single room. I talked to Reena at the front desk tell me I had two rooms with two beds each. I clarified there must have been a mistake on the website, as the dates had been wrong on the initial booking and a duplicate room showed in the reservation when I had updated the stay a week prior. I asked concisely "Okay, but how much would my stay be IN TOTAL" and she quoted me the same price on my reservation, so I figured I was just out for the same amount of money I had initially committed anyway, which I could accept and figured I'd just sort out when I got to the hotel. Then after much back and forth about the additional room AND PAYING FOR ONE OF THEM, she has the nerve to say "oh and what about the other room?" So now she's holding the $288 (bonkers prices btw for what you get, seek elsewhere) over my head, and then says, "Oh well I /could/ just charge a cancellation fee of $75". All the while not even addressing a possibility of Not only that, but they just throw your car wherever and charge an arm and a leg to do it... not even in a safe garage, just where rando can come off the street to see what you have. The room was clean, but small for the price, you're better off with another hotel along the strip. I know there will probably be an owner response about their policy... but man have a LITTLE humanity, you're out there gouging people for a place that doesn't hold a candle to the dingy Taco Bell down the street.

- Udall (10/5): Chicago Adventure - My wife, and our son, just stayed at the Hampton Inn Suites North Loyola and it was the right choice for us. From the moment we walked in, Carlos, who was working the front desk, greeted us and made us feel so welcome. This is such a convenient location and it’s about 200 yards from the entrance to Loyola University. Everyone at the hotel went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. One of the employees assisted us with information on how to get to downtown Chicago from the hotel by taking the Red Line and where to get off the train. The room was ample with two queen beds, a chair and a small desk. The restroom was also big and ample. The hotel had a nice but small gym on the 6th floor and they also had a terrace with tables and chairs to enjoy the view of the city. We will return to this hotel whenever we’re in the area again. Carlos was amazingly courteous and the epitome of a host.

When we got our room this time about 8:00 at night we noticed our a/c wasn’t working right. They sent the maintenance man Alex. He looked at it and said he could fix it. In 30 minutes he had it running. He was very professional and capable. Thank you Alex.

- Alan (10/5): Good hotel if you’re looking for one in that area. - Nice hotel that was built around 2018. Very clean and well-maintained. Great location close to public transit and eating places. Parking is overpriced at near $50 a day. The complementary breakfast was good and plentiful. Overall good experience and I probably would stay again.
- Carla (2/5): AVOID THIS HOTEL. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - I checked into Room 508 on 6/19 and immediately noticed that the room was not perfectly clean. Unfortunately, matters became much worse after I took a shower: when the water drained, the entire bathtub was covered in someone else’s hair, as though the floor of a barbershop had been swept into it. It was revolting. The hotel manager gave us hotel points (equivalent to less than one night stay) and argued that this would be enough given that they cleaned the room during our stay. Of course we only stayed that first, and did not get compensated for the other nights.
